Formatted search as such G/L Account name to be shown

Dear All,
I have added in Udf in the row level of marketing document like U_Sales A/C Name, U_Cogs A/C Name, U_Inventory Account Name.
Stock is maintained Warehouse Wise. Now I want that in the row level for any item e.g warehouse 001 I want a formatted search which should refresh automatically and show the G/L account name of Sales A/c, Cogs A/c and Inventory A/C respectively in the individual udfs.
I think it could be possible through formatted search but am not able to create the query for it.. Please help.

& apply below FMS to it

Chinese localization account name display in Crystal Reports

Hi experts,
The account names (Chart of Accounts) in Chinese localization is in Chinese + English like this: 流动资产 (Current Assets). But this account name field, when shown in the Details sections does not display correctly. What is the solution to this problem?
Is this a font issue or otherwise?

If you don't install localized languages how do you expect Crystal to display the values?
Go into Add/Remove Programs and select the language youa re going to support. Also change you field font to MS Ariel Unicode.
Then go into the Regional and Language settings and add the Fonts for the languages.
If you use Oracle set the one of their LANGUAGE settings to the host language also and the client will translate the fonts for CR to use.

Search itunes library by account name

i have gathered many songs over the years. often i will get a message saying i can not play a song because i am not authorized.
i woud like to clean the library once and for all.
how can i search or sort by account name or purchased by?

It might be possible, but it's not a simple modification. The script extracts the purchaser's name via a shell script using grep, so to change it so that the playlist is named for the iTunes Store account name, someone would have to be able to figure out how to extract the account name via a grep. That's not something I have yet figured out. You could email Doug and ask if this is something he could consider for a future version:

Names in Members field under the UNIX Attributes Tab have changed from standard format (i.e. John Doe) to the actual account name (jdoe). The only time this happens is if a domain account is deleted and the remnant of the account remains and has to be removed
manually. However all of the accounts, with the exception of any new ones recently added, now show the account name only. Any ideas on what caused this and how to fix it?

At a elevated cmd prompt run ;

Went to the computers OU and changed computer c00049 to the correct SPN. Now I have a new issues, I'll start a new thread.

Does this system even have a search function? Also, is there a way to not show account name?

Ugh, I just downloaded this yesterday, so I'm only really starting to try it out today and wow, did they want to copy off of microsoft or something with the search function? First they get rid of "by file name" for the search, and then search itself doesn't even work! Or at least, it doesn't show the files as it finds them.
The problem is, am I doing something wrong? Or is search just incredibly slow?
And my second question is, is there any way to get rid of your name in the top right corner? That is really creepy, you should not have to have your name there. Is there any way to hide it or should anyone just be able to tell who you are because you don't want to change your account name?

Formatted search - how to get table or form name

Hello,
I'm trying to create a generic query for modifying "Journal Remark" on different documents (Goods receipt, invoices ...) thru a formatted search
My problem is that I want to customize the "remark" according to the current document.
is there a way to get the table name or the form number in a query ? or should I to create a different query for each document ?

Hi....
If you activate the System Information from Menu Bar> View> System Information. Then when you move the cusrsor from any of the document you get some variable values which displays the ID of forms colums and rows.
You can get this information for your FMS. There is no need to create no. of FMS for each Document. Just take the variables into the FMS and apply to the same ID documents.....

How to create case-insensitive account name report?

We have an account report that allows users to enter part of an account name and return matching results. The prompt is case sensitive but I would like it to be case insensitive. This report uses a report prompt and not a dashboard prompt (if it makes a difference), and I can switch to dashboard prompt if necessary.
Since the left pane search for Account Name is case-insensitive and you can select case-insensitive when creating account list views, I am hoping there is a way to apply this same functionality to a report.
I understand I can convert Account Name to upper or lower and tell people to search that way, but that will be a last resort.
Any suggestions on how to make the prompt value and report results for Account Name case-insensitive?

Similarly to all this, and even what the OP is looking to accomplish, is the habit of developers attempting to coerce the database object names into the format of their language - usually .net or some such. So they create tables named something like EmpDepProjectStatus which may make their application code all look consistent, but becomes EMPDEPPROJECTSTATUS when created in the database. Why can they not adapt to the database and name the table EMP_DEP_PROJECT_STATUS so that we do not go blind trying to manage their db objects? Is it their teachers that tell them EveryThingMustBeWrittenLikeThisBecauseTheyCannotStandSeperatingTheWordsThatNameObjectsWithSpaces_WHICH_ARE_UNDERSCORES_IN_MOST_ALL_LEGACY_LANGUAGES?
I do not think that Oracle will ever become case sensitive. Just like COBOL, IMS, IDMS, JCL, BASIC, PL/I, etc. There is just too much code out there that ignores case that it could not be done.
Unless, of course, Oracle creates a init.ora option to set case sensitive. But I doubt (hope most sincerely) that they will never do that.

SharePoint 2010 Web Analytics showing user Display Name and Account Name from the same user

Since July, 16th 2012 the Web Analytics Daily Unique Visitors reports started to show almost the double of visitors we used to have on our Web Application. Here are some of the data (I intentionally deleted the weekend data):

As you may notice the data jumped from around 2.700 unique visitors to around 5.000 unique visitors. As the number of permissioned users remains constant it is pretty odd. I also checked the Number of Page Views report and see no change on its behavior.
The number of page views remained constant.
So I went to look the Top Visitors report and understand why the visitors number almost doubled. The analytics started to count the users Display Name and Account name as two different visitors with a different number of page views. Let me show you an example
from yesterday (July, 25th) Top Visitors report:

"Cinthia" and the account "nt\cmazevedo" are the same person. The same is applied to "Giselle" / "nt\gbsantana" and "Aline" / "nt\aglsiqueira".
As I stated this is an example from July, 25th. If I checked the same report from a period before July, 16th I can only see the users Display Name as "Visitors". No account name is displayed or counted as a different visitor.
About the environment:
We have two SharePoint 2010 farms: a "corporate" and a "enterprise". The corporate farm contains four web servers and a central administration servers with publishing services. The enterprise farm contains two servers running User Profile Services, Search
Services and some others. Our main version is the SP1 with June/2011 Cumulative Update with a few more hotfixes applied.
This behavior on analytics is affecting all web applications (we have more than 20) installed on this farm and my company Support team said that no change were made on SharePoint on the weekend the problem started.
Does anyone have any tip about what is going on?

First of all thanks for your interest on this issue but I don't think it is related to the User Profile or the Active Directory.
I checked both records and there was no change on the Display Names. All the users have "full names" as display names (first + middle + last name) and not logins as SharePoint is displaying on this report.
But I did a test yesterday and checked the results today confirming that just the access been made using a specific server are causing this. Explaining it better:
I have four web servers on my farm named from P01 to P04. Then I created this test script:
Step 1: Change local HOSTS file to point the web application on the server P01.
Step 2: Access site "A"
Step 3: Access site "B"
Step 4: Close the browser.
Step 1: Change local HOSTS file to point the web application on the server P02.
Step 2: Access site "C"
Step 3: Access site "D"
Step 4: Close the browser.
Step 1: Change local HOSTS file to point the web application on the server P03.
Step 2: Access site "E"
Step 3: Access site "F"
Step 4: Close the browser.
Step 1: Change local HOSTS file to point the web application on the server P04.
Step 2: Access site "G"
Step 3: Access site "H"
Step 4: Close the browser.
I asked three users to execute that script. The results: All access to the sites "C" and "D" were registered on Web Analytics with the user account name such as "nt\cmazevedo". All the other sites registered the user Display Name correctly such as "Cinthia
XXXXXXXXXX".
With this test we could isolate the problem just on the server P02. It doesn't occur on the others. Now my support team is trying to find any configuration difference between this server and the other three that could point for the root cause.
I am also looking for some information regarding the service responsible for this task ("transform the account name into a display name") to understand why it doesn't work on one server and works on the others.

How to authenticate LDAP with account name?

In my ADS server for all the users common name and account name are differently assigned , In LADP application which is developed using JNDI APIs it is able to authenticate the users with display name/ CN value(common Name ) only, but I need to authenticate users with account name.
Please give the solution for this.

How to change the "short name (account name?)" and home directory name?

Hi,
I recently purchased a new iMac and migrated account info from my MacBook Pro. I happened to use random account name during migration without knowing it will not be easy to change the short name (account name?) and home directory name. As a result, I am now having extremely confusing short name and home directory name on my new iMac.
I did online search to find out how to change the two names, but I could only found somethig like "enabiling root user and....." I have no idea what it was talking about and I don't want to take risk altering such advance set up manually.
Please advice how I can change the short name and home directory name safely without much PC knowledge.

There are a few ways of doing this. The easiest method is logging into the first account and copying everything to an external drive (or flash drive or whatever), which changes the permissions so that others can see the files.
Then, login with the new account and copy the files over. Once they are copied, the correct permissions will be applied again (so other people on your computer can't access them).
If you can't do this method for one reason or other, you can do some terminal commands to change the ownership of the files. Login to the new account. If it is an admin account, open terminal and type the following command:
sudo chown -R -v yourusername:admin /Users/originalaccountnamehere
That should change the ownership of the files from your old account to the new one. At that point, you can simply drag the files into place.

My Formatted search work wrong!!

After, I link a Formatted search to my form(using screen Painter and connecting UDO, it works good).
The problem is formatted search work only When i pushed "Update" button in screen of Define Formatted Search , otherwise it doesn't work.
so now, I work ..
   1. Form Load.
   2. Ctrl + Shift + f2 press in edittext of U_cardname
   3. (Originally, Checked "Display Saved Values"
      check "Refresh Regularly" and
      check "Display Saved Values"
   4. "Update"

Hi Lee,
You have to define a Query in the cardname field indicating that the query must be executed when the value of CardCode changes.
Now, define such a query:
SELECT T0.CardName AS 'BP Name' FROM [dbo].[OCRD] T0 WHERE T0.CardCode = RTRIM($[$3.U_CardCode])
Where "3" is the item number of the column that contains the U_CardCode. Check the one is assigned to your field using the "Debug Information" in the "View" Menu
When you define the Formatted Search:
- Select Search by Saved Query and choose the one that contains the statement above
- Auto Refresh when...
- Select here the description that match your U_CardCode field
- Display Saved Values
Now you have set your UFS and it works!

Formatted Search Numbering Wildcards

I've seen lots of numbers used in formatted search queries on these forums, and it looks like they are used as wildcards (as mentioned below) so that a single query can be used for all marketing documents for instance. Is there a list somewhere that shows which numbers correspond to which tables and fields?
"Note!!! You can replace the $[ORDR.CARDCODE] string (in the query) with the $[$-4.0.0] string, and the $[ORDR.NUMATCARD] string with $[$-14.0.0] string. Using these alternative strings will enable SAP Business One users to activate this query in other marketing documents, by changing only the name of the related table."
My specific question involves a UDF. I have a row level UDF in my marketing documents called "OrderType", which lets us specify if it is a Normal order, Sample order or a Service order. Depending on which is selected, my formatted search automatically changes the G/L Account field and COGS Account field on the same row. Can I use a single query for all marketing documents instead of having one for each table? Below is my query that is currently functional for sales orders.
SELECT
CASE $[RDR1.U_OrderType]
    WHEN 'Normal' THEN 5000
    WHEN 'Sample' THEN 6125
    WHEN 'Service' THEN 5803
END $[RDR1.U_OrderType]
FROM RDR1 FOR BROWSE

As long as you do not include any table names in your query, it applies to all your marketing documnets. You can find this info by View - System Information.
Actually, you should create another UDF in the item master. The UDF in all your Marketing Row levels will get this info.
Your query will looks like:
SELECT
CASE $[$38.U_OrderType.0]
    WHEN 'Normal' THEN 5000
    WHEN 'Sample' THEN 6125
    WHEN 'Service' THEN 5803
END
