Formatting issues in sharepoint 2013 when copy/paste from word document

Hi,
When we copy/paste content(rich text, tables, styles) from a word document to SharePoint site whole formatting is messed up.
is this the limitation of SharePoint 2013?

Some styles for font of rich text aren't be kept when I copy the content from Word 2013 and paste into a wiki page from SharePoint 2010/2013(even SharePoint 2007 like this
post) site as same as yours, it looks like a limitation.
As a workaround, we can publish the Word content as a Blog article in SharePoint site, then copy the content from the blog page to the needed SharePoint page, it will keep the rich text content format, you can have a try.

Strange characters when copy/paste from Word

Hi,
I have in Word u2018hellou2019 and when I paste it in the Notes of IR and save it, it turns into 018hello 019 so the apostrophes transform into these strange characters.
I checked with Notepad, Excel and Wordpad and this issue does not occur, only for Word.
Do you know why this happens ?
It should be a Word/IE setting as this issue does not occur on a Terminal Server. Only on usersu2019
workstations.

Example:
copy group of 3*3 cells from a Numbers table
Paste in Pages gives a table with every style attributes.

Automatic downsizing of an image when copy-paste from .doc to .docx in word 2010?

Hello,
I was changing the headers of a series of word documents (some .doc, some .docx) and, in spite of inserting the image from a file in each one, i just copied and pasted the image from one to another after a first insertion.
My source image was a 300dpi rgb jpeg: i noticed that, when coping it from a .doc document to a .docx document the image automatically downsizes to 150dpi and becomes a png; Is there a reason for it? Is there something I am doing wrong? Where can I eventually
control that setting?

How Can I Maintain Layout when Copying/Pasting from Web to Pages?

Whenever I try to copy and paste from a webpage that lays out text appearing to be in two columns (such as at http://nfs.sparknotes.com/hamlet/page_2.epl) using Firefox or Safari into either Pages or Word 2004, I lose the page layout. Instead of placing the text left and right, it alternately places one line from the left above another from the right.
I try to Paste and Match Style but that doesn't help. Does anyone have a suggestion? Is it my browser settings? Word processor preferences? One of my students is able to do it properly using, ugh, a PC, so I know it's possible with one of those things.

Other than taking a picture of it (a "screenshot") and pasting it into Pages as an image, you cannot. What you see in a browser has very little to do with what the source actually looks like -- the source is just text with the intended display instructions imbedded. That's why the text lines viewed in a narrow browser window will break differently than when viewed in a wide browser window. When you copy from the browser window, you'll likely get the text string without any of the formatting html tags.

Slightly distorted aspect-ratio (and missing alpha channel) when copy/paste from Photoshop

Maybe this is an old topic (but I didn't find anything on google or this forum):
When I copy images from Photoshop to Flash, the aspect ratio of the bitmap gets distorted. A 728x90 Bitmap becomes 727.6x90 (and so on...). The dpi is set on exactly 72 on both programs. Is there any way to JUST get a 1:1 pixel copy? (except using another program like Irfanview as a "man-in-the-middle")
Although I selected "32 bit color w/alpha" in the clipboard settings of Flash, the alpha channel seems to get discarded when copying from Photoshop. Shouldn't it at least work with Photoshop? I mean, it's an Adobe product after all and maybe the most commonly used together with Flash.
Would just be nice if a copy-paste between PS and FL was an easier thing.
I know there can also be a pixel-aspect somewhere (like used for video productions and wide-screen), but I didn't find settings for that anywhere.

I'm on windows7 with CS5.5 and transparency and size are copied over just fine. You answered what would be my first question, 72dpi. How about the image mode. Are you using RGB 8bit?
I've had lots of issues with the OS not handling transparency very well also, such right-click on an image on a website that you know is a PNG and has transparency, then paste it into photoshop, the transparency isn't saved.
The route that always works (but is a PITA) is of course to save it as a PNG with transparency and just import it.

Garbled text when copy-pasted from a pdf document in Preview

I have this PDF document which I created in NeoOffice. When I copy some text from it, then paste it somewhere (or just go to Finder>Edit>Show Clipboard) I see garbled text. Or, if I go into the search field within Preview and type a word which I know exists in the PDF, it doesn't find it. But if I copy-paste it from the PDF document window into the search field, the copied term appears garbled in the search field itself, but I do get search results.
This happens only with this particular document, which I myself produced. No password/encryption or anything weird; just a straightforward print job from within NeoOffice.

happens to me all the time in preview, copying something that I need to paste, like a URL. Quitting and relaunching usually solves it, but now that won't work on the text I am copying today.

Rolling credits - Copy/paste from Word - straight line

We create our rolling credits in Word, sometimes there are 100-200 student names. We create it in Word, centered, looking great and when we copy and paste it into the Text-rolling credits, it comes out as one line. We then have to manually place a return between names. Is there something I can do in Word, or somewhere that will make it so we don't have to do this tedious task.

The only way I've ever been able to get text looking even close to the way I want it to look is to type it directly into the window in the text generators in Final Cut. Simple centered lines of text shouldn't be a problem - I'm curious as to why you do this in Word first instead of typing right into the generator.
I have had overall better success with text using Title 3D except that it's completely incompetent for 2-column centered text like you see in most scrolling credits.
w/r/t Word, try saving your document as plain text, then open it in Text Editor to do your copy/paste. (Or just use Text Editor in the first place.) I suspect the problem you are seeing is coming from Word's DOC format.

Enable copy-paste from Word to PDF

Hi,
I was working in PDF, copy-pasting words from Microsoft Word that needed altering, when suddenly this function was disabled. I can still paste text from Word into a new text field in PDF, but not in a Sticky Note or in Text Editing. Also, I can't copy-paste anything from the PDF into Word anymore. However, I can still copy-paste things from PDF into PDF (same file, and from other files). Does anyone know what's going on? How can I enable the copy-paste function again?

Muse 2014.2 crashing when I paste from Word

Then it keeps asking me "Why are we using paste?"
Which is strange. Muse isn't copying over those awful Word styles, is it? Doesn't seem to be.
I've been having some MS Office crashing issues. Now I'm getting them with Adobe Muse as well. Any ideas?

In fact, it's doing it again and I caught the whole error for you. I decided to move the Word document text to Notepad because I was tired of Word crashing. I've been copy/pasting and turning text into italic and bold where needed, as well as adding links. And I'm crashing regularly now. Adobe doesn't exit, but the only thing I can copy/paste is the error message below, unless I close out and come back in again.

Indesign CS5 crashing public.dll when copying pages from one document to another

I have several Lenovo W520 (Core i7-2720, 8GB ram, Quadro 1000M) and a couple Dell M6500 (Core i7, 4GB ram, Quadro FX 2800M) all running Windows 7 Pro x64, the latest video drivers and Adobe CS5, including Indesign 7.0.4. We have several different Indesign docs that for the purpose of interactive Table of Contents, are copying pages from one to another to end up with one master document. On the majority of the documents, copying as few as one page to another doc crashes Indesign with the windows system error below.

Copy paste from word ?

Hello
I have some paragraph at Word. I want to copy(CTRL+C)from Word and want to paste (CTRL+V) to column of table of database. My paragraph is between 3 and 6 line. How can i do that ? Which column type should i use ? I will show paragraph at ASP.NET

Open a new query in the ssms and paste the paragraph. Then you need to alter it

Desperate for help! indd crashing when copying/pasting from illustrator

i have cs2; updated programs for indesign and illustrator; on my new imac
i have a bunch of small graphics -- logos, and line drawings -- that i need to place into indd.
they have been scanned and traced in illustrator.
i have copied and then pasted them into indd. HOWEVER INDD crashes immediately over and over. i've tried copying and pasting them from ai into indd into blank documents -- once again crash.
I NEED TO GET THIS PROJECT DONE! yikes.
what can i do to prevent crashes???
AND -- big question -- if i save them in ai. and place them into indd -- i have white boxes around each graphic which I DO NOT WANT. that's why i was copying and pasting to begin with. Are there ways to save graphics and place them into indd without these white boxes around them. I'm open to other formats -- and not embedding -- but need to get rid of the box.
at one point i got a message saying memory was full. now it all just crashes.
please help anyone and everyone. i'll be indebted to you!

Copy and Paste from Word document to Role comment creates an error

I am receiving calls from access request creator saying they are getting error message when they copy and paste text from MS Word to role comment box. If they use the notepad they don't have any issues at all.

SAP not allowing to copy and paste from word documents

Hi gurus,
I am having the issue with the outbound Faxes from SAP. It fails with error code 816 saying
"Message cannot be transferred to node AVENTX due to connection error (final)"
I checked SM59 and it works fine. The configuration of the Fax Node looks good, Address Area "*"
And when I go to SOST and "Repeat Send" then it goes thru? Not sure what is that I am missing.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
