Formula in Forms Doc

I have a form document which was in a pdf I will be changing and using which was from another source.  I have been able to change the pertinent information and save back to a pdf "form" document.  I am having trouble with the formula.  I put in a simple addition formula and save, however, it will not save and the error message I receive says due to a security issue I can't save.  How do I put in formulas?  (This would be one area which should not have changed at all and does not have a formula).

Hi, see #error in formula row of the form sum([1])/2
maybe it helps

    Hi
The following Average (Formula row) results were encountered in web forms. I would expect Mar's average to be either 'blank' or '0' and for Q1's average to be 400.
Can someone enlighten me on this? And if #error is the correct answer, where do you fix it to display as 'blank' or '0'?

  • Use Formule on FORM with REPORT - result stored at table

    Hi all,
What is the best solution for?
I have region with FORM WITH REPORT on the same PAGE.
Values stored at table INFO with column ID, MYDATE, TIME_START_HOUR, TIME_START_MIN, TIME_END_HOUR, TIME_END_MIN, SUM1, SUM2
    ITEMS on the form:
    P1_ID (hidden)
    P1_MYDATE (date picker)
    P1_TIME_START_HOUR (select list)
    P1_TIME_START_MIN (select list)
    P1_TIME_END_HOUR (select list)
    P1_TIME_END_MIN (select list)
    P1_SUM1 (hidden)
    P1_SUM2 (hidden)
After user fill in MYDATE, TIME_START_HOUR, TIME_START_MIN, TIME_END_HOUR, TIME_END_MIN then I need proces for calculation SUM1 en SUM2. Result stored (one record) at table INFO.
Report shows all columns. User had possibility to update the record
    Formule:
    Select
    (CASE
    when to_char(mydate,'DY','nls_date_language=dutch') in ('ZA','ZO')
    THEN substr(to_timestamp (mydate||':'||TIME_END_HOUR||':'||TIME_END_MIN ||':00','DD-MM-YY:HH24:MI:SS') -
    to_timestamp (mydate||':'||TIME_START_HOUR||':'||TIME_START_MIN ||':00','DD-MM-YY:HH24:MI:SS') -
(interval '00 00:00:00' day to second)
    ,12,5)
    ELSE '08:00'
    END) SUM1,
    (CASE
    when to_char(mydate,'DY','nls_date_language=dutch') in ('ZA','ZO')
    THEN substr(to_timestamp (mydate||':'||TIME_END_HOUR||':'||TIME_END_MIN ||':00','DD-MM-YY:HH24:MI:SS') -
    to_timestamp (mydate||':'||TIME_START_HOUR||':'||TIME_START_MIN ||':00','DD-MM-YY:HH24:MI:SS') -
(interval '00 04:00:00' day to second)
    ,12,5)
    ELSE '04:00'
    END) SUM2
    FROM INFO
    where id=:ID
What is the best way for the calculation: computation or processes or etc? The calculation after or before user push button(New:create button of Update:Apply Changes)?
How to fill the answer (SUM1 and SUM2) at table INFO?
    Thanks Walter

  • Formulas in Forms: Errors from Mac to Windows?

PDF Made in: Acrobat 10 Pro on a 2012 Macbook Air running Mountain Lion
Attempting to fill form in: Adobe Reader on a 2011 Windows desktop running Windows 7
A fillable PDF was made with Acrobat 10 Pro on Mountain Lion. The form has a formula involved - it is a budgeting form that adds up columns and rows.
The formula works fine on several tested Macintosh computers, but on Windows computers the formula is non-existent. Typing into one box will not effect any of the other boxes.
Any input or solutions for the issue? Or is this just a Windows/Mac problem?

The issue is that the form does not fill in properly, specifically that the formula in the spreadsheet section of the form does not work.
It is a budget form with three columns, the first is the original estimate, the second is the new estimate, and the final column automatically calculates the difference between them.
This part of the form does not work.

  • How do I download a form letter doc. ?

I need this form doc. transferred to a task center to fill in for easy service with email for collaboration. How to proceed?
The form is  a scanned doc that needs to be in a word processor for fill in type.

    Hi,
As it is a scanned doc, so first of all, run OCR on it, so that the text become renderable.
Open the file in Acrobat -> Go to Tools -> Text Recognition -> In This File.
Now, if you want to make a form for collaboration then you need to make a Acrobat Form.
    Tools -> Forms.

  • Two AM's with the same name but different forms causes Deployment problems

Two Masters forms, DOC & PM are cloned except for the "where clause" in the View's query and the titles in their JSP's.
DOC workspace has a BC project and a BC4JSP Project. The BC project comprises of the EO and VO named ComVsStaticValue. In the Edit prop-> query for the VO I have specified the "where clause" as VSSV_VS_CODE='DOCTOR'.
    In Java Webserver :-
The JSP's are located in C:\source\Doctor\ .. and the *.xml and *.class files generated by the BC proj is in C:\source\Doctor\pol_ValueSet\..
If I execute Doctor in JWS the records are getting filtered properly.
PM workspace has a BC project and a BC4JSP Project. Again The BC project comprises of the EO and VO named ComVsStaticValue. In the Edit prop-> query for the VO I have specified the "where clause" as VSSV_VS_CODE='PAY_MODE'.
    In Java Webserver :-
The JSP's are located in C:\source\PMode\ .. and the *.xml and *.class files generated by the BC proj is in C:\source\PMode\pol_ValueSet\..
If I execute PM in JWS, the PM's JSP comes (the title is correct) but the records pertaining to DOC appears. I checked the View's xml file in C:\source\PMode\pol_ValueSet\ the "where clause" is correct. The xml & classes have the same name but their contents are different.
I want to know whether this problem is because both have the same name for the AM and the BC4JSP's property file.
    Please clarify.

Deploying two app modules with the same name will definitely cause problems.
The JSPs use the information in the properties file to connect to the application module and get the data they need from the appropriate View Objects in those app modules. If you have two app modules with the same name, when a JSP tries to connect, it has no way of knowing which one of the app modules to connect to if they both have the same name.
    You could:
    1. Just use one application module that contains all the View Objects you need to access.
    or
    2. Rename one of the application modules or the package it is located in so the names are distinct. If you choose this method, you will also need to update the JSPs (specifically the 'registerApplicationFrompPopertyFile' method call), and your JSP project's appmodule property file.

  • Error while opening planning web Forms

    Hi ,
I am facing the below error whenever I am trying to open the planning web form.
    "Target Unreachable, 'formManagement' returned null
ADF_FACES-60097:For more information, please see the server's error log for an entry beginning with: ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #40"
Could you please help me on this?

Have a read of the following support doc which is pretty much the same - "Hyperion Planning Error "Target Unreachable, 'getFormsForFolder' returned null -- ADF_FACES-60097" When Opening Web Forms (Doc ID 1527253.1)"
    Cheers

Do not use mailto in the form's action. It is completely unreliable. You need to use a form mail script. Please search these forums for more details.

  • Preview: Working with PDF Forms

    Hi all,
We had a faculty member (using a mac and preview) edit one of our PDF form docs (created using Acrobat Professional 8). The problem we have noticed is if the user fills out each field using Preview, then saves the document (PDF again) and sends to us her data has disappeared when we open it in Adobe Reader or Professional. the funny thing is...if you click in (for example) field 1 the data shows. But, as soon as you remove focus from that field it disappears again.
So, in testing this. If you open the document back in Preview the data is there. Again, this only happens if the form is filled out using Preview. Any ideas - I've seen this problem around the web, but no solutions.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello -
I don't know that there -is- a fix; it's a limitation of Preview, Acrobat Reader, etc. (With Reader, you'll actually get a warning message to the effect 'You won't be able to save a completed copy of this form on your computer ...')
Your user can use the print dialog to save the completed form as a PDF, if that'll work in your application.
    Good luck.

  • Looking for Forms 10g Training

Looking for Forms 9/10g accelerated training. Preferably somewhere in New York City area. Have looked at Oracle's own classes already. Also, interested in web-based class, if you can recommend something good.
    Thank you.

    Grant,
Thank you for the two links you provided, but they refer to book/video material on Forms 6i, while my question is about Forms 10g. I have actually read that book and found it very helpful as a starter (for version 6i). I'd like to read something that goes deeper into Form's internals - for example, something that clearly explains Forms internal navigation process (and its interaction with user's navigation). Perhaps there is a good white paper on the topic, don't know.
As far as Forms Docs, again I can only wish it was written the way Oracle db docs were written - you can find a chapter devoted to your general topic. Forms 6i Doc are rediculous. Information is provided in small poorly connected bytes. Frequently it is presented in a form of bare-bone reference, with little effort to explain the processes. I am only starting to use 9i/10g docs. There seems to be an improvement, information is more complete. Still, it is a helper, not a studying material. Frequently for in-depth look you are referred to a diagram, which I'm not smart enough to understand without additional explanation.
If you know of some good in-depth material regarding forms internal navigation process, I would really appreciate it. I have to say that this forum is great in terms of helping out developers.
    Thanks.

  • Default login form

    Hello there,
I want to design a custom login screen that looks just like the oracle default login screen. I went through metalink's suggested method of creating LOGON.fmb.
Now i want to learn something new. Is there a way of creating login screen (without much effort - about 6-7 hours) not written in oracle forms but using some other GUI & language that can be incorporated to my Oracle application.
    Please suggest me some ideas.
Thanks a lot and have a nice day.

    Hi,
you can do it in html:

Please tell us if this works!
