My iphone 4 does not register calls made to it. if i make a call from another phone, i can hear it ringing, but it does not register on the iphone. also, i do not get any messages when this happens. then after a day or two it decides to start working.
Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better. If still problem clean charging port again with toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol.

We have a 5s active on our account. After turning on a previously active 4s (it had the same number) The 5s can no longer place call and when you call it from another phone the 4s rings, but will not pick up. Texting over the cell networks works fine. Any suggestions??
hens0861,
Hmm, let's ensure this is working as it should be! So what phone should be active on your account? Did you switch the devices online or how to did you activate the 5s? Please share details.

If you forward your calls to another phone and turn off yours, can the phone be tracked?
I have an iphone 5 and I want it not to be tracked but still get my calls. If I cal forward my calls to another iphone and turn off the one I dont want tracked, will it render it untrackable?
If you are seeing your device on iCloud's Find my IPhone section (even if it says offline), then it is tied to your iCloud Account, meaning you had that "Find My iPad" turned on in the iPad's Settings > iCloud.
If someone has it, they probably turned it off to prevent you from tracking it, but yes, you can use lost mode to lock up the iPad and put a message and phone number to call if found. If or when the device is turned back on, this message will be displayed on the iPad. iCloud: Use Lost Mode
Choosing the play sound option will put it in the system to play the sound when it is turned on again. -
Forwarded call to cell phone is not displayed with...
I have a subscription allowing me to let calls to my skype online-number be forwarded to my cell phone. Now, if someone calls my skype number and is forwarded to my cell phone, my cell phone only shows "unknown". This is also the case, if the person calling me and being forwarded has activated his phone to show its number. So it has to be a setting inside the skype-program. How can I change this setting to let the number calling me being displayed on my cell phone?
Thank you, I appreciate your help very much.

It is possible that the telephone network is not passing the Caller ID information along. This is the case in certain countries, even if the caller has enabled Caller ID and you have set a number in your Skype account to be used as Caller ID. Have you done that yet? Log into your account here on the Skype web site using the "Account" link at the top of this page to see your Skype account's Caller ID settings.
If you have Caller ID set up on your Skype account, sometimes you will see your own Caller ID number when calls are forwarded from Skype. Other times, it may be "unknown" or a series of digits. Unfortunately, Skype does not have control over all of this, since Skype works with partners in many countries to provide services using the telephone network (making calls to or receiving calls from telephones, forwarding calls from Skype to a telephone number, Caller ID, etc.).

Can i call to another phone using IP phone?is it possible?
actually i want to know that, IP phone is used to communicate to only IP phones?
or it is used to call to ordinary phones?is it possible? If configured properly, IP phones can send/receive calls from other IP phones or analogue phones (aka POTS). IP Phones can send/receive calls from mobile phones too.

this just started today, sometime after 9am. working fine before then, and we didn't touch anything re: the system today.
behavior:
- we can call out fine
- people calling in say it just rings & rings
- we have no idea that someone is calling unless we happen to be looking at the CID of a plugged in phone
- we can pick up the phone and have a conversation if we happen to catch it at just the right time
- same behavior at the NIC or whatever it's called (the box in the garage).
tried:
- i've unplugged our main wireless phone and tried it w/a wired phone, no change
- i've unplugged our verizon broadband modem, no change
we have a tivo that uses the phone line; i'm about to give that a shot.
this is really bizarre...
thanks for any ideas,
scott.Sounds very strange! I hope your house isn't haunted. =P

Why do forwarded calls to my phone show as unknown
When calls from the office are forwarded to my iphone6 the calls show as unknown. This never happened on my 4s or 5
Try this
Settings - Cellular - Set it to Data Only
It may help

I have been forwarding calls from another phone to the iPhone. When those calls come to the iPhone, it rings and there is a message that pops up, which says there is a call being forwarded to it. Sometimes the message disappears, but sometimes it doesn't, not letting me answer the call. Has anyone else had this problem?
I am forwarding my Verizon number to my iPhone and I do get the pop-up but it allows me to tap on it and it disappears which then allows me to either accept or decline the call.

Help my moms 3gs iphone won't ring. We have tried everything from resetting the phone and checking the side of it. Help us.
A divert is a function that allows you to either forward calls to another phone, or directly to answer phone. I'm not 100% if those functions are available for AT&T (I'm from the UK).
Can the iPhone 3GS play music fine? Can the volume be adjusted during playback, and is it loud and clear?
It's also worth checking to see if the "ringtone" hasn't been changed.
Settings > Sounds > Ringtones
Select a different ringtone and it should give you a sample. Try that and see if the phone rings when you get a call.
Are you close to a local Apple store? It's worth getting some 1-to-1 time with one of their Geniuses. -
Nokia 1520 - how to forward calls?
Hi. In setting>phone.......there is no option for call forward on Lumia 1520
Moderator's note: We amended the subject as the post was moved to the appropriate board.
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Here's how to activate call forwarding:
Tap Phone > > settings, or tap Settings > network+, depending on your software version.
Switch Call forwarding to On.
Type in the phone number in the Forward calls to box, and tap save.
To check if call forwarding is being used, tap the top of the screen. This icon should show up.
Note: You may need to contact your network service provider to get this service.
Besides forwarding calls to another phone number, you can also forward these calls to your voice mail and listen to them later.
Tap Phone > > settings, or tap Settings > network+, depending on your software version.
On first use, type in your default voice mail number in the Voicemail number box.
If necessary, switch Use default voicemail number to On.
Switch Call forwarding to On, and type in your voice mail number in the Forward calls to box.
Note: You may need to contact your service provider to get this service & to get the default voice mail number.
Hope this helps. -

My I-phone 4s is dead. I want to forward all incoming calls to another phone until I get a new one in the mail. Is it possible to set up without having the actualy phone?
Your cell carrier my be able to help with that.
-
Forwarded calls are not "call-parked"
Dear Lync experts,
please could You help me that the following scenario is not possible or I need to change some config parameter:
- there are two extensions ("A" and "B")
- a call park group was defined and both extension were added to this call-park group (call pickup group)
- extension "A" was forwarded to extension "B" (using Lync client- Call Forwarding - Forward my call to- Delegate "B")
- there is an incoming call to "A", it is ringing at "B" (because of the forward option), but dialing the call-park-group number we are not able to pickup this call.... I do not understand why?!
Thanks in advance:
NorbertHi,
Would you please tell us why you want to forward call to another account in the same call park group?
Base on my understanding, if cancel the call forwarding, other users could pick up the call. Please check if it works after cancelling call forwarding setting. Please check if the issue still happen when cancelling call forwarding.
Best Regards,
Eason Huang

TechNet Community Support -
Transfering calls with a phone behind a CUBE.
Hello,
My setup is as follows.
I have two softswitches, one behind my CUBE (from now on I call it "M") and another one outside the CUBE (from now on I call it "A").
I can call from A to M and viceversa.
If a phone from A orginates a call to M, that phone from M can transfer that call to another phone from M..but I am not able to transfer that call to a phone from A (that is, a connection between two phones from A)
Softswitch M is a softswitch we are currently testing, and using a CUBE is the only way we can hook it to the network without making lots of changes in the routing tables.
I was wondering if the transfer I am not being able to complete, can be accomplished.
I will be happy to provide you with any info you require to help me with my problem.
Thank you in advance for your help.Softswitch A is an Asterisk 1.8, so it does.
This is the initial invite, the one that phone registered in A sends to CUBE.
