Forwarding E-mail
I run a server which hosts the website, norpass.com. Just yesterday, I had the MX records switched to point from a different server to this one and now I am wondering if I shouldn't be able to receive @norpass.com emails. I tried sending an email from my personal e-mail account to [email protected] but I got a "Mail Delivery Subsystem" error back from it. I am currenly running postfix on the server. Is it possible to configure postfix to receive e-mails (and forward them to different e-mail accounts) or do I need to install some other software?
I found that I do not have a /etc/aliases on my server so I created it with the following line...
root: [email protected]
where [email protected] is the e-mail I want to forward incoming e-mail to. Then I ran newaliases as root and tried to send an e-mail to [email protected] However, I got the same Mail Delivery Subsystem error:
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
[email protected]
Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: Gmail tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 5.7.1 <[email protected]>: Relay access denied. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. Thanks for your continued support. (state 14)

I checked this out with Verizon tech and it was determined that the problem was with the Firefox browser. With Safari I have no problem forwarding e-mails. This box appeared for the first time on June 15. I have never seen it before. I still am able to send and receive e-mails. The only function that does not work, since 6/15, is the ability to forward an e-mail. I have Firefox version 31.0. I work on an Apple IMac.
I have already re-installed the default version of Firefox, deleted all my history. Nothing has worked to eliminate that message. The Verizon tech person said that there seems to be a problem between my router and Firefox. I don't understand how this problem suddenly cropped up 4 days ago. Will I be able to resolve this or will I have to switch to another browser? One more bit of info: my O.S. is Mac 10.6.8.
Thank you.
leonboloHi leonbolo,
Oh noz, I am sorry to hear that there is an issue with Firefox and the router and that clearing the cache and reinstalling is still causing this issue. We are happy to help.
Please see these also for reference:
*[[Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet]]
*[[Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can]]
Two things I can think of:
*Ping the router from Firefox [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/pingler/ Pingler addon ]
*See if the smtp that the Verizon mail uses is ping able as well. (rebooting the router is the default troubleshooting if it was working before. )
Please post back, it could help other users as well! -
How can I forward a mail to multiple mail accounts that I have in a group without having to add them one by one?
I don't think that you can. Yahoo's basic email features do not include mail forwarding.

How to do forward multiple mail
Hi all,
I want to write the forward multiple mail script,if we select multiple mails from apple mail and click forward button ,messages will come in to the same window as forward . the same scenario i want to do using apple script. If any one have idea to write this type of script please let me know.
I have done one script for forward mail as single message also i have done script for multi selected mails in different window.i dont know how to keep multiple mails as forward.I apologize, but your scenario still does not make sense to me.
The user requests a URL, an XML page is returned to their browser, then immediately another XML page is returned to their browser?
Maybe try to explain in functional terms what you're trying to achieve rather than assuming that "forwarding" or refreshing is the solution. Stated this way, I still don't have an idea of what kind of application you're trying to build. -
Why does the recipient of my forwarded e-mails sometimes receive them as a vertical line? Is it on my end or theirs?
The vertical line indicate how many times the mail have been forwarded.

Forward the mail to more than one agents in User Decision Step
Hi All,
I am referring blog
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/User%20Decision%20step%20in%20SAP%20PI%207.1%20-%20Part%20I
But my requirement is to forward the mail to group i.e. more than one agents in User Decision Step
How to do this.
RegardsHi,
Even my requirement is similar one.
I have to forward the mail to SAP Inbox of a group of user.
Anyone of the Purchase team can process the message .
Please suggest how to make our user decision step so that it is forwarded to multiple users for processing.

I can't recieve forwarded e-mails, i see who forwarded it and who it was forwarded to but no content. Just in the body it says forwarded message as follows and the nothing. Sometimes it will give some numbers such as R:95.9108
P:95.9108 M:97.0282 C:986951 )No problem at all using gmail. The only reason that I asked was because I did "Google" the issue and gmail came up in the search a couple ot times and I thought that I had seen this issue on the discussion site before and gmail came to mind. Personally, I love Google. I would be lost without it, but I digress.
I was just going to suggest that you may have better success looking for answers on the gmail for iOS devices help site or on the gmail general help site. I don't have gmail so I really know nothing about it and the suggestion that I made in my first post is merely a standard troubleshooting step that helps solve many minor issues on the iPad. -
Firefox has stopped forwarding my mail to my Mac Mail.
I had to change my Firefox password lately, so that it does not match my Mac Mail password. Then Firefox stopped forwarding my mail to my Mac Mail box.
Also make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.
*You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
*To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting <b>Firefox will: Use custom settings for history</b>
* Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode" -

Help forwarded e-mail comes up as mime-attachements can't read the forward!
Help, I recieve forwarded e-mail from friends with content that comes up as a mime-attachment in iPhone's mail app. Is there a setting I can change to make the forwarded e-mail appear. It works under the Mac OS X mail app and looks fine. The forwarded e-mail are either text, url or photos. My Fiancé laughed at me and said I thought your $expensive$ phone can get e-mail. I'm using .mac and yahoo mail accounts.
Serves you right for getting a girlie phone... (joking)
Can you send yourself a message from your PC to test if it works? I have read several posts about the iPhone mail client having problems with certain types of encoding (like from AOL). If you can send youself a pic from your .mac account and have it work fine, then perhaps you can eliminate one variable - if all your emails from everywhere look bad, then you have another problem. -
Forwarding Picture Mail to non-Sprint customers

Post relates to: Treo 755p (Sprint)Hello and thank you for using the Palm Help Forums!
I don't know if it really matters with carriers but if it does you may need to ask Sprint. It could be that the phone saves them in a format that the phone you are sending them to you cannot read. It's just a guess but you may want to ask Sprint.

Forwarding rejected mail to internal recipient?
I would like to forward all mail that is normally rejected by the mail gateway to a "junk" mail folder on the internal mail server. How would I acchieve this?
Is this done by using a wildcard in the transport map or is there another method preferrable?
The reason for this request is that I want to see what mail does no longer arrive at the internal mailboxes. Just in case my filtering is too narrow.
TIA
HansIf you edit main.cf manually look up "luser_relay"
http://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.html#luser_relay
Ok. I had overlooked this. Thanks...
You are mixing issues here. Mail to unknown users is
one thing, mail to be fed to the spamfilter another.
Don't worry about this until you actually turn on
spamfiltering (which I'd turn on immediately). No
reason why you shouldn't. If you are concerned about
false positives, keep the settings "light".
Well, the mail load is still rather light, less than 200 each day, so I simply use a catchall to collect copys of all incoming mail. I then add all spam, not filtered automatically, manually to the junk mail box of my copy of Apple mail. Everything else I simply put into the trash. This means I'm "collecting" spam to train the spam mechanism of the server. Hence this perhaps strange question...
Furthermore (but that's my personal opinion), mail
adressed incorrectly, should bounce back to the user
so they know and can fix it. Besides, an enormous
amount of incorrectly adressed mail comes from spam.
I agree, so far we simply added new aliases. But now that we have the new server setup we have decided to slowly lock everything down tight. But for us this means we have to see what comes in with false addresses and then reply to the sender manually informing him of the correct address. Due to the low mailload this is still pretty simple. I would rather not try this later this year when the load has increased.

I already bought this one, and Apache, and "DNS and Bind", and Kerberos and LDAP etc.
I was more thinking in the line of "in general" for OS X server "Using the gui for beginners with examples and explanations" since Apple's documentation kind of ***** in some areas.
For example I get an error when connecting Dreamweaver to my websites using webdav while FTP seems to work fine. Webav failes even though I defined realms and all that other stuff needed.
And there are some other similar general problems I have encountered through time as with Kerberos Open Directory and LDAP.
Somehow Apple's documentation seems to explain what to do, very often skipping the "how" and "why" and "what if" parts.
Thanks again for your help.

Can't forward e mail is say's contact error and no names show up
since downloading the 9.0 firefox I have not been able to forward
e mail, it say's contact error and no names show up, this is very
upsetting since I e mail that is important to forward.Oops, our posts crossed. The two main changes in Safe Mode would be: (1) disabling Firefox's use of hardware graphics acceleration, and (2) disabling all extensions. You can try to implement those manually in regular mode.
'''(1) Hardware Acceleration'''
Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches with various display drivers.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If you restart Firefox, are any issues improved? I suggest keeping it disabled even if you do not see an immediate benefit.
'''(2) Extensions'''
Disable ALL nonessential and/or unrecognized extensions. If in doubt, disable:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
Then restart Firefox and test again. -

How do I e-print a forwarded e-mail from my Kindle Fire?
How do I e-print a forwarded e-mail from my Kindle Fire? I bought the e-printer so I could print out my e-mails but I can't get it to print forwards.
the eprintcenter will not print emails and their attachments that have more than one recepient. You need to address the email to just your eprintcenter email address only if you want to print that way.
There is a HP app on the android market that allows for network printing from android devices as well. Maybe your Fire will allow you to install that.

Cannot forward e-mail...
I cannot forward e-mail. The send icon is greyed out. Quite often, I cannot even reply. Cannot figure it out. Most often than not, cannot send or receive mail unless I close Airport and reopen. What is up with this thing? Is the machine defective?
This is happening to me also. I press the forward button, and try to hit send but the send button is greyed out.
