??? Found a transaction which hasn't moved in 5 seconds on bus 0x4b, timing

Any idea what this is --- or means
I have NO devices plugged into my USB ports - have restarted - reset PRAM and am at a loss
It seems to come and go (notice constant logs followed by a few minutes of nothing and then starting again) and it seems to be associated with high CPU usage - but not sure of that
I have a new (probably refurbished) logic board installed a few weeks ago and am wondering it this could be a sign of a defective board - if so I should get it taken care of in the warrantee period

Hi Larry - [this|http://lists.apple.com/archives/usb/2008/Oct/msg00021.html] was the only thing I could find about transactions timing out, but since you don't have anything plugged in, it really doesn't apply. Have you tried resetting your SMU?
If that doesn't work, run Disk Utility from your install disc and see what it comes up with. Your suspicion that the MB may be faulty is probably correct, and if you are still within the 90 day warrant period, you should call the repair place and have them replace it yet again.

  • Found a transaction which hasn't moved in 5 seconds on bus 29 (Huh)?

Can anyone explain what this error in the console actually means ("found a transaction which hasn't moved in 5 seconds on bus 29").
I am using two USB devices on the MBP. On the left USB port I have a USB audio I/O Digidesign MBox2 Mini. On the right USB port I have a Keyspan Remote.
When I'm using the MBox & Keyspan Remote with iTunes, hooked up at the same time (one on each port), I periodically will get a spinning beachball, then initiate a force quit, but iTunes will not quit, the beachball keeps spinning. The only way out is to do a hard reatart (which I hate to do). Then check the Console Utility & it shows this "found a transaction which hasn't moved in 5 seconds on bus 29"
Anyone have a clue or could explain what exactly that error code means? I am not too savy with deciphering the Console Utility codes... but am sure it has something to do with one of the USB ports or devices I'm using.

You're right in thinking it's USB related, some discussions/possible solutions here:

I have recently started having this problem in PSE8. The Adobe workaround
did work, but I don't fancy having to re register each time I use it.
What I have discovered is that it's nothing to do with the image metadata as it occurs before any image is opened.
It SEEMS to only occur if you use file/open with to open an image in the editor - IE start PSE with that command.
If you close elements down, and start it using programs/PSE/Elements (or your desktop shortcut) - the panorama feature magically works.
Each time I've opened the editor 'automatically' using image/open with, it seems to create the problem.
    Hope this helps

While updating, my I-phone froze with apple on screen. Hasn't moved, please help

If it's frozen you may have to do a reset.
Hold down the home button (circle with a square in it) and the sleep/wave button (button on top) together until the phone restarts.
It may go into recovery mode, which means I hope you have a backup

  • Planning DB Deploy aborts since "No baseline was found for transaction ID 8

Not sure if this is a bug or something we caused on our end but we cannot deploy a planning database anymore. We get the message: Deploy aborted since "No baseline was found for transaction ID 85905". This happens during the export phase. We are using EPM Architect with Planning 11.1.1.10.
Curious if anyone else has ever run into this error.
    Thanks,
    Jeff Brown

We ran into a similar issue yesterday, except the transaction ID in the ds_baseline_library was greater than any transaction ID's in the or_object table.
    Here's what Oracle thinks happened:
Baseline records were likely to be deleted by a baseline cleanup kicking in during application deployment. Normally, the cleanup only deletes older baselines but causes problems if run while an application is deployed.
We don't believe this is what happened as the cleanup was scheduled to run at 3:00am, so who knows what really happened. Here is the guidance we received in terms of resolving the issue (we didn't follow this, but I suspect it would work):
From your update it is clear that EPMA still looks for the same baseline records which apparently do not exist anymore.
The steps below should bring this to work.
    1. Create backup of the Planning application database.
    2. Create backup of the Essbase data, Calculation scripts, rule files, substitution variables.
    3. Delete the affected Planning application in EPMA (this should delete it in Planning and Essbase as well).
    4. Create a classic Planning application with same name as the deleted application.
    5. Override the classic Planning application database (step 4) by using the Planning application database backup (step 1).
    6. Using an administrator user, log into the Planning application and navigate to Administration > Manage Properties.
    7. On the “Application Properties” tab, click “Add” and enter a new property “EDIT_DIM_ENABLED” with a value of “true”. Click “Save” at the bottom of the page.
    8. Once you have completed steps 6 and 7, restart the Planning service.
    9. Log into the Workspace and Navigate > Administer > Application Upgrade. This upgrade wizard should list the newly created classic Planning application as “Upgradeable”. Select the application and upgrade it as local dimensions.
    10. The application should now be visible in the EPMA application library and its dimensions loaded as local dimensions.
    11. Use EPMA to deploy the newly created Planning application.
    12. Restore the Essbase data, Calculation scripts, rule files, substitution variables.
    Here's what we did:
    1) Export our forms.
    2) Copy the app in EPMA.
    3) Deploy the new app just to make sure it works.
    4) Delete the old app in EPMA.
    5) Copy our "copy" to the original app and re-deploy.
    6) Import our forms.
We lost a few items with this approach (business rules and variables), but we hadn't developed much yet. We felt this was cleaner than copying a repository into a Classic app and then upgrading that app to EPMA. Either way, we're back iin business. FYI - it looks as though this issue may be fixed in 11.1.1.2. In the release notes, under fixed defects, check out defect # 7573567. Sounds like this is the same problem.

I have been trying to download the movie Prometheus onto my Ipad. It sticks at 793mb and hasn't moved for hours. I have 48gb of space on my i-pad and have hard resetted and turned off and switched back on, always reconnecting with wi-fi immediately. It doesn't resume?
I haven't even received an email stating I have been charged for it???
    Any ideas??

Well I have an update. I decided to stay as I was so far down the road. They gave me an engineer appointment of 14 of August which was totally disgusting.
I rang up to complain and was promised a call back as they tried to expediate my request. Never happened.
Whilst on these calls I also questioned the validity of sending another engineer unless they first checked that my local cabinet hard an available fibre port. I was promised and promised that they would put the notes on the call and it would not be a wasted engineer visit.
Engineer came today. Wasted visit - no ports on the cabinet.
He was not even sure why he was sent there knowing there were no ports. Talk about the blind leading the blind.
The incompetency of this corporation is absolutely astounding even when their customers are telling them they are going to fail they lie to your face just to appease you on the phone and move you on.
So I ordered my switch from sky to BT on June 6th.. and so far all I have is a phone line.
On top of this I noticed that they have charged me a late payment fee by DD and full line rental for first month. BT were so slow at installing it all that my up front line rental apparently did not cover their initialy switch over. Despite telling me I would not be charged I have been charged.
Now as a web designer I am now tempted to create basic website and use my SEO skills to push it to top of google rankings sharing with everyone of my experience of BT.

  • My macbook air keeps opening ad websites without my permission. I've removed all website data various times which hasn't worked. this is making it very difficult for me to browse. please help?

I'm scared i have a virus. safari keeps opening windows/tabs without my permission. these are normally ads. i have removed website data various times which hasn't worked.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
    or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
    if it's not already checked.

    Hi Phani,
What is the naming convention you are using at IDC? If you are sending the response to your TP, then make sure to send ReplyToMsgId as part of file name. If it is not a response, then send MessageType as 1 as part of file name.
For file naming convention required, please refer -

    Hi
We are looking for a software which converts SWF to MP4, we found many software which does the job but issue is file size is not optimize.
We found Adobe captivate 6 which gives optimum quality with good output but thing is we do not have batch process in captivate 6. so we request you to create a plugin or give a best option which have batch render quality and optimize in file size,

Captivate is e-learning development software not a dedicated video convertor, you are better off trying something like Adobe Media Encoder or Super.

you might try the following to solve the problem:
    1. In transaction SE38 start report RSCPINST.
    2. Add the language required at the left side and activate the settings.
    3. Afterwards refresh the buffer in SOLAR01 via menu Environment -> Update Component System Texts

  • (urgent) FW problem: "found a transaction past the completion deadline"

I replace my 20" iMac 2006 with a 24" iMac 2008 and now my external Firewire HD are no longer recognized (nothing in Finder, desktop, disc utility, profile). I do see continously this error message in the log:
"18-06-08 16:24:50 kernel USBF: 651.225 AppleUSBEHCI[0x6ae8800]::Found a transaction past the completion deadline on bus 0xfa, timing out! (Addr: 8, EP: 1)".
Is this a hardware failure and should I go into the hassle of returning the iMac or can it be solved?
PS: connecting the external HD to USB shows no problem.

    This sounds familiar.

  • I erased a good amount of messages from my email on my iphone, but my icloud storage amount hasn't moved a bit. It is almost full, is there a way to fix this?

I have a ton of emails on my iphone and it is taking up about 4.4 MB in my icloud storage. I erased some of my messages but the amount hasn't moved at all. It's almost full and I really need my email! What happens when icloud storage gets full? Will I be able to use my email?

If you exceed your storage plan, your devices will no longer back up to iCloud, iCloud-enabled apps will no longer update documents and data between your devices, and you will no longer be able to send or receive messages with your iCloud email address.
If you haven't seen your account usage drop after deleting email you might try resetting your device (hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release), then go back and see if the usage estimate went down.
Also be sure you emptied the trash after deleting the messages or they will still be in your account.
