Fox News is my home page, but firefox won't load it...for the last week. Works fine with MS Explorer. Ideas?

About a week ago (15 Aug or so), Firefox began just waiting when I would launch it. My home page is Foxnews. If I wait long enough (minutes) it will tell me it is unavailable or moved and tries to offer alternate websites. I can go to any other website by selecting from history or typing in the url. When I launch explorer, it works without any problem at all. So, I've been using explorer. Today, 19 Aug, it is still doing the same thing. I haven't done anything recently. Running Vista Home for OS.

IE will load my excite home page but Firefox won't after following all of the suggestions , enabled cookies, java script and cleared cache.

Was working fine for years until virus scan today. It will pull up the site, but not allow me to access my personal home page. Running XP on one laptop and Vista on the other. Same problem with both machines after running scan. Only problem appears to be accessing my home page on excite.com. Have enabled both cookies and java script as well as clearing cache.

I found a fix for this, not only firefox but several other networking programs were broken as well (Outlook and IE were ok for some reason) so I reasoned that the Norton uninstall was incomplete somehow - I had done it from the add/remove programs in the control panel. Sure enough that's not enough to release Norton's tentacles in your system, there's an uninstall tool on their website (a whole set of them actually) that managed to carve it out completely and after a restart everything was back to normal. My machines will definitely be Norton-free from now on ... N

Have you tried clicking on the lock to see it it will then ask for a passwored. Otherwise, try reblooting.

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what kind of streaming you are talking about or what you are seeing when you try to do so in Safari. If the sites in question are Flash-based, you may need to make sure that Flash Player is up to date in Safari, as noted in this article:

I was hand coding my new website. This time i was trying to embed some personal fonts into my website, so i used a style sheet to embed which is coded like

All the font work fine in the root folder of my site. But whenever i am creating dreamweaver templates and using them on pages which are in different folders but in the same root directory, the fonts are set back to default font. This problem is only with Firefox. Chrome, IE, Opera etc. works fine. Please Help!

yes, the site is behind a '''htaccess''' login.
first load after login is => everything ok!
after following an internal link => no webfonts!
after disabeling the htaccess login, everything works fine!
but that can only be a workaround!

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove your live.com cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

It's not working here as well with Java 6 U25 on Linux.

When i go to a website that requires a security code be typed in, the web site appears but the security code to be typed in is blank, however it works fine with Internet Explorer

Printing problem in 2 programs started 2 days ago, only firefox ,works fine with Internet Explorer?

Banking web site has a "Print - Friendly View", text on the upper right side of the page which prints out the account information in a different format if you click on the text. All other print functions work ok. The problem is not their when using Internet Explorer. The other program is at Aflacs Web site, and the problem is very similar. When I click on the text that says "Print copy of Invoice" nothing happens, just like the bank text. They both work perfect with Internet Explorer. The problem started about 2 days ago. When it works right, a window will open up and show you what it is going to print and you click on the "print" text, and it prints. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.
