"Free song balance out of date" Can't clear it to purchase songs - ideas?

After going through my Coca-Cola Free iTunes songs, and downloading all the tracks I wanted, the last Free Song notification box didn't clear.
Next to my account name at the top right of iTunes, is a box with '1 Song' in it, that just won't go away.
When I click on 'Buy Album', a box pops up saying 'Your free song balance is out of date. Click OK to refresh, and try your purchase again'. Tried it - nothing - box still says '1 Song' and I can't purchase anything because of it.
I've reinstalled iTunes 7.0.2 but the box is still there and I still can't purchase any songs. I don't know if a prefs file needs deleting, but wouldn't know which one to delete!
Any ideas would be hugely appreciated.

I had the same problem and resolved it by updating my account:
1) Log into your account by clicking on your user name in iTunes (next to the song balance)
2) Once logged in, Click on the "Reset Warnings Button" near the bottom of the page
This should clear the song balanace and allow you to purchase additional songs.

why does it say "your credit balance is out of date" when i try to buy something from the music store?? i never pay by credit card, i always have prepaid itunes gift cards and in the upper right corner it says i have $25.02 left. whats going on??

this is the reply I got from itunes support. Basically, you need to spend any money you already have invested with them before they will allow you to spend more money. I am appaled that apple is not willing to do more to support people who have already invested in their product.

You need to upgrade OS X in order to upgrade Safari.

Free Spng Balance

I recently purchased some songs through iTunes after about a 2 week break. Before the purchase was made, a dialogue box popped up that said "Free Song Balance Out of Date", and then my 2 free songs were deleted from my balance. I never saw this before, and I was not aware that the free songs could expire. If anything, I figured I had until the end of the year to use them. Has anyone seen this before, and can you explain what it means? Thanks.

Lenovo A6000 Antivirus database out of date..asking to purchase..

Hi Lenovo,
My phones Antivirus database is out of date and i am asked to purchase license to update them.
Why should i pay when i have choice of installing best antivirus apps that can be downloaded from play store.
I am not able to uninstall . there is no option to do so.
Please let me know a way to uninstall this software from my phone. your forcing people to use this XXXX.

Lenovo A6000 come with pre installed antivirus. Its free only for a month after that you need to pay 0.99$ / month or 1.99$ / 3 months. Worst part is you cant uninstalled this app!!
Why could we pay for antivirus when we have lots of good antivirus for free in playstore ?
Very bad statergy by Lenovo by forcing its customer to pay for the useless app.

Adobe Help: Creative Suite 5 always out-of-date?

Every time I open Adobe Help from any application, I get a message to update the content. This can be several times a day. I agree. I does and expands it. But in the local content listing, "Creative Suite 5" will list as "May 02, 2010" version, "out-of-date". I delete it (both on the Adobe Help app and on the finder), update it, to no avail. Next time I open the Adobe Help app it will prompt me to update the out-of-date local content. For a few days this was combined with a Flash CS5 help homepage error message, that has now disappeared and only the out-of-date local content issue remains... any ideas?

No, it's not that. When I go to the list under "Preferences/Local Content" all other files are "Current". And I can see that it is the only files that updates (it gets a blue update progress bar). Upon completion, it expands and again, posts as "May 02, 2010 out-of-date". Nothing else updates. If I close and reopen Adobe Help, this file will again be updated, repeating the same cycle...

Get messsage "Your free song balance is out of date"

When I try to buy music from iTunes, I get the message "Your free song balance is out of date. Click OK and try your purchase again".
I click the "OK" and try again, but it still won't download the songs I'm trying to buy..help!

I had the same problem but with a gift card. I logged out of my iTunes account & restarted iTunes, that fixed it for me.

Your free song balance is out of date

I had a free song from Coca-cola, and have the "1 Song" icon up in the top right of the screen. I've redeemed the song, but the icon still remains, and now every time I click on "Get Song" I get the above error message and can't download the song. Any ideas what's up. I'm on 7.0.1.8.

If you haven't already, try logging out of your iTunes Music Store account and back in and see if that properly refreshes your balance.
If not, contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them.

Footnotes can only be inserted in the main text area between the margins on a Word Processing document.

Tabs just keep rolling across my screen endlessly; update never gets installed. Have selected free download many times with same result. Firefox follows up with a message that my version is out of date but I can't get the update to completely install.

The https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ is not always accurate or reliable (needs to be manually updated) as Adobe has not been keeping the Adobe products versions to check for updated on that page as the recent Flash updates on December 9 has shown.
It is however accurate when it says versions in Plugins panel of Addons Manager is outdated.
There is Adobe Reader 11.0.10 though it seems like Adobe still provides 10.1.4 at http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/ yet newer versions are at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows

James, why does the Firefox addon page link to the 9.5 "blocked for your protection" page instead of the 10.5 blocked page? Is that a mistake/failure to update on Adobe's part? That seems like something that should be controlled on the Mozilla side, since it has the 10.5 blocked page in existence as well. Should someone be notified that it's giving the wrong page to people?
The adobe update you linked to made it stop saying it's out of date, but what about the Java Development Toolkit? (As pictured in attached image #3). How should I go about getting that up to date?

I got, and used, 2 iTunes gift cards. On the 2nd purchase, I exceeded the balance of credit I had, so i figured it would jsut charge my (checking) account as usual. Well, I was able to purchase and download the songs ok, but my balance is "stuck", at +$9.61......now when I try and make purchases, it wont let me, and gives me an error "your credit balance is out of date, press "OK" to refresh and try again".....BUT IT WONT WORK...
What now?

Log out and log back into iTunes. Don't simply quit iTunes and restart it.

When i download an app its says Your credit balance is out of date.
