i have a broken desktop which had my itunes account on it.
I am trying to get the information onto a new laptop and itunes programme but cannot. I have only managed to copy over some of my music as i had it on an external drive.
I also cannot get my iphone 5 to be recognized on the new itunes.
HELPiTunes as you see it in the application window uses a series of files and folders contained in the iTunes folder. Some people make the mistake of only backing up their media in which case all you have is a bunch of media files without the iTunes structure. In that case you have to build a new library yourself.
What exactly do you mean "not recognized"? The phone does not show up on the computer at all, or it does but it says it will wipe the phone? The wipe the phone stuff is again because it cannot find the original library to which it was synced. You need to transfer the entire iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup you made of it.

recently I have install windows 7 in my old laptop since then the program Itunes have 2 libraries one at the top which I can put in new music and the other just below my I touch device botton. The problen is that now whenever I upload music is going straigh to the top library and from there I can't move it to my Itouch library. Before I never have problems cause I could only see one library and not 2 like now .....HELP !!!!!
I do not understand what you mean about two libraries. Can you post a screen shot?

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

I downloaded a movie last night from iTunes and it downloaded to my laptop and my phone but for some reason it now won't play on my laptop. The album artwork on my laptop has gone and it exists perfectly on my phone. What do I do?
I paid for it so I'd really like to avoid paying again just to see this movie. Is it because it's on my iPhone? Help! While editing a photo in CS3 the program shut down and will not reopen my psd file. The error message reads "cannot complete your request because of a program error" -- it is a very large file (I have been saving it all along) and I had just "flattened layers" and went to open up a new, blank photo file when it shut down. Is there anyway to get this file to open? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (p.s. after reading a couple of similar threads, I have a feeling it's hopeless. But I'd also like to know WHY this might have happened!) Thanks in advance!

Windows 7 Home Premium
I am using Photoshop CS3. It seems that I can work on photos and save them. But I am unable to open them back up. I have tried saving the files as psd and tiff with the same result. The error message is: "cannot complete your request because of a program error"
The interesting thing is that I can open up InDesign and "place" the psd file within InDesign (then export and save as a jpeg). So I don't think the files are necessarily corrupted. I uninstalled Photoshop and reinstalled it last night, but there's no change.
If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate it. Or, should I repost my question with this more complete info? Thank you! -

Check your mail server setup (mail>preferences>accounts>) choose your MobileMe account and select Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) dropdown box, select Edit SMTP server list, verify that each instance of the me server has a password, if there are more than one and you only have one account then delete the one without a password. -
I have OS X 10.7.5 and am trying to download mavericks v 10.9.1 but nothing happens. I log in and download shows but nothing happens when I click it. Any help? Ta
Its a 5.3 GB file. It might takle a while to download.
When done, it may open automatically, but the file will be in your apps folder

Since I have changed from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1, I have not been able to start up Photoshop Elements 9! or Premiere Elements 9! The menu starts up alright, but the programs don't start when I press any buttons. How do I fix this problem?
If Layers is greyed out it possibly means that you are in Quick Mode. Select 'Expert' and all the options should become available.
Try permanently associating psd files with C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe and see if that fixes the issue. Instructions here - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/choose-programs-windows-uses-default.

Where in god’s name is the homesharing button, I see a little cloud that you cannot click on and tells you what account you have but that's it. There's an option for turning on and off homesharing, but no button to access the actual library of the other PC. On either PCs. Both are logged in and both are registered for homesharing. however because apple keeps updating and moving things around for no reason there appears to be no way of accessing the homsharing button in the latest version of itunes. the website refers to " Once set up, all the libraries from your computers you've enabled Home Sharing on will show up in the SHARED area of iTunes:" well I have searched all over in the recent itunes versions and there is no "shared area" to be found.

I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 but my PC is not recognizing my CDRom and I cannot download the program. I tried copying the files on the program disc to my hard drive but get a message the installer will not work. I have the redemption code and serial numbers. Can I download the program online somewhere? If I download a trial version for instance will it allow me to enter my serial number and use it for the full program?

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work
