From Capital IO to AUC Manage Historically Field Mandatory How?
When a Capital Internal Order is created an AUC asset is simultaneously created but under General Tab in that AUC asset which was created Manage Historically field is not ticked automatically.
Every time we are forced to open those assets put tick mark manually.
Is there any way out to have a tick in the ' Manage Historically' field automatically as soon as an Internal Order (Capital) is created.
Kindly provide detailed steps.
Thanks in advance.

Import List Items with Managed Metadata Field from CSV File
Hello,
I try to import list items from a CSV File. Most of the fields are populating correctly except the Managed Metadata Field. I found multiple examples on how to set Managed Metadata Fields with Powersehll, but unfortunately I couldnt get it running.
The CSV File holds values for the Metadata Column, this value should be checked against the Metadata in the Termstore. If this Term is existent, then it should set the fields value, if it is not existant then it should add the term from the CSV File to the
Term Set in the Term Store. Can anybody give me a tip on how to do this? This is what I have, where Line 4 holds the Metadata:
$Siteurl = "http://siteUrl"
$Rootweb = New-Object Microsoft.Sharepoint.Spsite($Siteurl);
$Webapp = $Rootweb.Webapplication
$listName = "Catalogue"
$listWeb = Get-SPWeb $Siteurl
$list = $listWeb.Lists[$listName]
$pfad1 = "c:\temp\Servers.csv"
$content = import-csv -Delimiter ";" -Path $pfad1
foreach ($line in $content) {
$newItem = $list.Items.Add()
$newItem["Field 1"] = $line.1
$newItem["Field 2"] = $line.2
$newItem["Field 3"] = $line.3
$newItem["Field 4"] = $line.4
$newItem.Update()
write-host $line.Title imported
Thanks!!Hi Jimmie,
From your description, when importing list from csv to SharePoint site, you would like to compare if Managed Metadata column exists in term store, and return yes value, if not, add it to term store.
That might need script to achieve. You need to import list at first, then get value from term store, and compare with the list. Change the list field per comparison result, then add new value to term store.
However, there might some workaround to meet your requirement. Not surly understand, so I find some references for you:
If you would like to export Term Set to CSV from SharePoint 2013, then you could compare it:

Update Managed Metadata field in SharePoint 2013 Designer Workflow for O365
Hi Guys,
I need to update the managed metadata field in SharePoint Custom List using Workflow but its not working. I have also tried to use the HTTP WebService POST Operation but no luck.
Am doing this for a SharePoint Online (O365) Site.
Has anyone worked on something similar and was able to get it running ?
I saw a post to create a custom Workflow Activity but I don't have a choice to go with the custom code option.
http://patrickboom.wordpress.com/2013/07/23/workflow-activity-set-managed-metadata-column/
I was able to achieve this by creating a SP 2010 based Workflow for O365. Which means that it worked well with SP 2010.
Is there a different way to do it in 2013 ? I tried almost all options apart from creating custom Activity but nothing worked out.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Nutan
Nutan SharmaHi Nutan,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to update Managed Metadata field with SharePoint 2013 Designer for SharePoint Online.
As far as I know, there is not an OOB action to achieve your requirement with SharePoint 2013 Designer for SharePoint 2013. Customizing a workflow action is a better option to achieve it. Why didn’t you customize a workflow action as Patrick’s blog?
In addition, please take a look at the article about Nintex workflow, check whether it is useful for you:
http://habaneroconsulting.com/insights/setting-managed-metadata-fields-in-a-nintex-workflow#.UykBSf6KDHo
As this issue is about SharePoint Online, I suggest you create a new thread on SharePoint Online forum:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=onlineservicessharepoint . More experts will assist you.
I hope this helps.

My Active Directory environment is 2003 functional level and we have Exchange 2010.
I am trying to find out the best way to do a mass edit for the "Managed by" values of our security and distribution groups.
I know we can export the "managed by" field by csvde but I am not sure this is the correct way to do it. Also in the case that there are multiple users assigned to be managing a distribution group it only shows one value. Also powershell from Exchange
2010 can be used with "get-distribution" but as our AD environment is 2003 is this correct also?
Finally once the data is exported to csv can it be edited to then reimport and udpate the existing group managed by fields with new values?
Not really sure that the best way to go about this is.
Summary - We have 2003 AD with Exchange 2010 and I am trying to export a list of all our Distribution/Security groups showing the group name and managedby values so we can edit and update the
existing managedby values with new ones. In some cases we have multiple users as the owners.
Appreciate any advice on how this can be best achieved. Thank you.Hi,
We can use the following command in Exchange 2010 to export "Managed by" field of Distribution and Security groups:
Get-DistributionGroup | Select-object Name,@{label="ManagedBy";expression={[string]::join(“;”,$_.managedby)}},Primarysmtpaddress | Export-Csv
C:\export.csv
After you changed the Managed by field in export.csv and saved it as a new file named import.csv, we can run the following command to set with new value:
Import-Csv C:\import.csv | Foreach-Object{ Set-DistributionGroup –Identity $_.Name –ManagedBy $_.ManagedBy}
Hope it works.
Thanks,
Winnie Liang

CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.
Hi,
We are facing a serious production issue. We've search the web extensively but to no avail.
Problem:
CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.
ULS log:
The Uls logs provides 3 different messages that I could relate to every time the query is executed. The last item(level Medium) is displayed 14 times. For readability I've moved the ULS logs to the bottom of this question.
Query:
The query is as follows:
(I've translated this from dutch so pardon any typo's)
Query: (top selection) Display items from all sites in the site collection
ListType: Documentlibrary
Contenttype:
Items from this group:Custom Document Contenttypes
Items from this content type: Verklaring
Filter: Soort is equal to X
extra info: the field soort (Type) is a managed metadata field that was assigned the value X
Managed Metadata Structure:
-managed metadata service
-Contoso
-Enterprise Taxonomy (term set)
-Document (term)
-Verklaring (term)
-Soort (term)
-x (term)
EXTRA INFO:
When I modify the filter to filter on Title the CQWP DOES return the correct document!
When I modify the query settings to search a specific library the CWQP also does return the correct document! (In this case I am filtering on a managed metadata field).
QUESTION:
Why doesn't the CQWP return the document when filtering on a managed metadata field over the entire site collection.
Why does the CQWP return the document when filtering on a managed metadata field over a single library.
(The type of information the CQWP should return (Soort:x) is stored in a dozen document libraries!)
Here are the ULS logs.

Hi All ,
I am new to webdynpro abap . My requirement is to default from date in travel expense management.
Here i am using webdynpro component FITE_UI_RECEIPT_DETAILS and view DETAILS_VIEW .
So i did the coding for testing in method WDDOINIT(). But i am getting runtime error because of NULL object reference (lo_el_receipts ) . How can i resolve this ?? Is it possible to default From date in this method ??
Please see the code which i used .
DATA lo_nd_receipts TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
DATA lo_el_receipts TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
DATA ls_receipts TYPE wd_this->element_receipts.
DATA lv_from_date TYPE wd_this->element_receipts-from_date.
lo_nd_receipts = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_receipts ).
lo_el_receipts = lo_nd_receipts->get_element( ).
IF lo_el_receipts IS INITIAL.
ENDIF.
lv_from_date = '20110504'.
lo_el_receipts->set_attribute(
name = `FROM_DATE`
value = lv_from_date ).
After executing lo_nd_receipts->get_element( ) giving null value. So lo_el_receipts is initial and getiing run time error .
Is this signifies that cannot default ' from date ' using method WDDOINIT ??.Is there any alternative way to get element of node ?? please help..
Thanks in advance..

Actually i am creating an expense claim using Available credit cards . After included this credit card in expense report and if i select this report i need to default the mandatory fields (from date and to date with receipt date of credit card , Expense type with "Other ' and description according to the credit card selected ) . If i try this in WDDOINIT method i will not get receipt date from context and we are not sure which credit card ( Fuel , taxi etc )will select . So i did the code in WDDOMODIFY .

I have a SharePoint designer workflow that I am trying to use to copy the value of a managed metadata field, into a text field. So basically my workflow is this...
Stage 1: Set [MyColumnValue] to [%Current Item:MyColumn_0%]
Go to End of Workflow
This seems like a simple enough task, but each time an item is added or updated in my List, all I get for my new column [MyColumnValue] is just a link that says "Stage 1". Am I missing something here? Shouldn't this workflow be able to just copy
the value from the managed metadata column to the text column?When you create a workflow on a list/library it automatically creates a new FIELD with the name of workflow and it's status. It sounds like you're viewing the Workflow status field, and not the field that the workflow is putting the values into. Make sense?
So edit the view and add the new field in. -

Dear All:
When SAP was impelemented in our company an asset class was opened which was later on blocked because assets of varying categories were being opned under that 1 class. At that perhaps they forgot to tick Manage historically tick in OAOA. Now the class is spare and i want to make a new class,for that class i want to use that blocked class,but problem i am having is that manage historic tick is disabled in it. Please guide me how to make this field editable and tick it.
RegardsHi
If you go to screen layout XXX you will notice that field group 82
(History indicator) is not ticked in the column "class" and therefore
it is not available to be changed in tranz OAOA.

I had a computer crash and completed a Fresh install of Win7 and restore of all files from Carbonite. I have managed to get LR 5 running in LR. However, I am not sure I have all of my previous catalogs. How can I find my catalogs to assure that I have a complete inventory of all my catalogs.

Managed Metadata Fields not showing up in preview mode
0down
votefavorite
In our SharePoint 2013 Publishing page, managed metadata fields doesn't show in preview, they show up only in edit mode or after we publish page.
Is this bug?
Thanks in advance.Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the managed metadata fields not display in preview.
I tried to reproduce the issue, the managed metadata fields worked well in my environment.
I create a publishing page, add a library web part which contained managed metadata columns.
Then click the preview option in the ribbon, the managed metadata columns worked well.
Did the issue occur in other publishing pages? You can create a new publishing page to check whether it works.
Did you use the compatibility mode or add the site into trusted sites?
You can use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
You can also add the site into Trusted sites.
Open the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
What's more, you can use other browsers to check whether it works, such as Firefox, Chrome.
Thanks & Regards,
Jason

Hello, we are trying to import some of our Incident records from BMC Remedy into Service Manager. Our data architect is running into some difficulty finding the necessary information to create the format file (we plan to use the CSV import process).
Is there a comprehensive document that details out all of the properties available for Incidents, affected users, relationships, etc. in order to build the XML format file? For example, System.WorkItem.Incident is the main type for Incidents. Under
that, there is an 'Affected User' class.
Is anyone aware of this type of documentation for Service Manager?
Thanks in advance,
BrettHi,
Affected user' is a relationship. System.User is a class. Your data architect has to investigate SCSM management packs to get the required info. Use this PowerShell command with standard SCSM poweshell console to get all management packs in pure XML. "c:\mp"
is a path that you could change.
Get-SCSMManagementPack | Export-SCSMManagementPack -Path c:\mp
Cheers,
Marat
