From Classic PCA to New PCA
Dear friends,
I am on upgrade project from 4.7 to ECC6.
my clients wants to use PCA with new Gl. Now they don't want to use classic PCA.
Please suggest me what steps I need to take. Tell me the detail procedure.
Please let me know what are the implication of this.

But i am confuse little bit on profit center heirarchy.
My client has classic PCA heirarchy. what should I do with that. Should I use same heirarchy for new PCA or I have to create new PCA heirarchy.

Our client is on ECC6.0, with classic GL functionality. Now they want to migrate to New GL and they have already procured SAP New GL migration services. Wanted to know, whether this migration service will take care of data transfer from tables of classic GL to tables of New GL with appropriate New GL functionalities like document splitting etc.

Printing from Classic App to new HP printer
My new HP 6988dt will not print from a Classic App. Is there a Classic printer driver that will produce a file that could then be printed? (Something like the "Save as PDF" option in OS X print dialog.)

LaserWriter 8 requires an active Appletalk but I can't make it active - it keeps saying I have to be connected to an Appletalk network. I have Appletalk turned on in Network preferences (using ethernet) since I attempt to communicate with an iMac on occasion but that doesn't.
I posed a similar question in the Classic forum and received info about a shareware Classic print driver called PrintToPDF which does produce a pdf file. This requires the extra step of printing the pdf file but at least I can get to the printer.
Thanks for your help. If you have a suggestion as to how I can get the LaserWriter 8 driver to function, I would like to try that route as it might be more direct.
In answer to Jerry's suggestion, I not only looked for a Classic driver, I emailed HP tech support. The world is moving too fast; I went looking for an update for my Scanjet 3670 and find HP isn't providing any support or even acknowledging it's existence except in archives. -
Converting from "Classic Mail" to "New Mail"
I have just selected, in "Classic Mail" to box which says "Get the Newest BT Yahoo Mail". From the screen presented I then selected "Mail Home"
This diverted me to the "New Mail"
But
Later I clicked on the Favorite that I use to get into e mail & I was put back automatically into "Classic Mail"
I think BT have a problem!
What will happen to my mail system after "Classic mail" is turned off?
Have any other members had similar problems?

I would have expected, after converting, to always be directed to the " New Mail"
Also I was not asked to agree to new T&C's that I believe BT are introducing, hence I think they have a problem. -
GL Migration from Classic GL to New GL using ABAP code

Is it feasible to update Database Table using ABAP Query(Using INSERT, UPDATE or MODIFY)?

Hi experts,
Currently we are in the midst of rolling out NewGL project for the customer who is on classic PCA now. In the NewGL, we are going to activate the document splitting for Profit center and segments. Functionality point of view, the client is required the NewGL.
But during our assessment, we went throug the 8A Ledger (Classic PCA) reports and the new GL standard reports, suddenly found that all the classic fields are not available in the NewGL reports. In the NewGL, whatever the standard fields that has been provided by SAP for FI module, those will be applicable to PCA evaluations such as Cost center, WBS and so on. In New PCA, typically the field selection is only limited to the additional account assignments or coding block only. But in the current classic 8A reports, they have the complete logistics/CO info such as sales office, sales organization, cost element organization, stical key figures etc where as in the NewGL, SAP is not given these fields in the additional account assignments.
I went through some of the SAP documentation where I saw that there are some user exits to bring the billing info to the accounting documents (OSS note 301077), but how far the requirement is fulfilling with these user exits I do not know.
Can somebody please give me clarity on the compatability of field selections between classic PCA and New PCA including the customer fields' technicallimitations as it is going to be a showstopper for our project. And is it possible to migrate the line item report painter reports to new GL? Can we meet the reporting requirements by report painter tool in NewGL?

old PCA report painter reports can be migrated to NewGL reports under certain circumstances (see SAPNET note 1555535 for details).
As the NewGL PC reporting bases on the data available in the new GL tables FAGLFLEX* I think that you will miss some infos in NewGL PC reporting compared to infos available in classic PCA reporting (eg object type / object class).
Nevertheless it is possible to add fields toFAGLFLEX* but I doubt that this will be helpful in your case.

Difference when using old and new PCA datasources

We have implemented the new PCA datasources provided by business content version 3.3. We have built a new infocube (ZPCA_C01) as we were not concerned about the appropriate performance of these new datasources 0EC_PCA_3 and 0EC_PCA_4.
After loading the new cube (ZPCA_C01) with the new datasources 0EC_PCA_3 and 4, we made a comparison to the content of the old cube 0PCA_C01, that was loaded with 0EC_PCA_1.
For thesame period (2005.001-002) there is a difference between the contents of the cubes. When checking the results I found that this may be caused by the fact, that 0EC_PCA_4 does not populate "Total credit postings" and "Total debit postings" fields in the new cube, however, we have a couple of records in table GLPCA, where ACTIV = 'PRC4', and that have a corresponding record in GLPCT, where there is a figure in
TSL02 field. It results in the fact that>
- 0EC_PCA_1 extracts the figure from GLPCT for Posting Period 2,
- 0EC_PCA_4 does not extract the same figure from GLPCA.
Can you please help me with the above problem? Do you know how Credit and Debit figures get to BW from GLPCA, where ACTIV='PRC4'?

If it's a DATE datatype then it will have both date and time components. If you take that and store it in a DATE datatype column then that too will store the date and time components. If you then go and view that data, it will have both date and time components unless you have your local settings (NLS settings etc) set so that dates are displayed without the time portion. That doesn't mean the data is not there, but that you are not displaying it when you query it. -
I would like to transfer all data from my iPod classic to my new computer with windows 8.1. My old computer's cpu died. Utilizing iTunes which only allows iTunes albums purchased at iTunes store. The cd's were loaded via iTunes originally.
Install disk drive from old computer in an external enclosure.
Then copy the complete iTunes library from the disk drive to the disk drive in the new computer. -

I am trying to transfer 3000 songs from my iPod Classic to my new computer. The only songs that transfer are those that I have purchased on iTunes (242 songs). All of the music from my CD collection that I have on my iPod Classic will not transfer. What (if any) is the best 3rd party website that will assist?

Migration Date when migrating from classic to new g/l
Hello gurus,
I am planning a migration from classic to new g/l, but this fiscal year it will be not possible to finish phase 0 (from migration model plan). Is it possible to do it in the middle of the new fiscal year, what are the withdrawls or issues? what do you recommend me? What strategy can I use?

There is differnce in migration date & activation date. Migration date will always be the firts day of new fiscal year.
But as on migration date you have to bring your config changes to PRD.

Launch iTunes on the new computer. From the iTunes menu bar click Store > Authorize This Computer
Now from the menu bar click File > Transfer Purchases from...
