From Trial Version to Purchased Version

My trial version has been a bit glitchy and has crashed once, hard enough to necessitate a power down to recover.
The question: FCPX Trial is shown as such under Applications. If I buy this version, does it get replaced with the purchased version, or does the trial version just get unlocked?
If it only gets unlocked, I plan to uninstall it before purchasing.

Trash it and download it again.

Hi. I completed the free trial of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and after finishing the trial went and purchased the full programme at a store. I received the box of discs with serial number on the back etc. Uploaded this serial number to this Adobe website and the Photoshop Elements Program I used in the trial is now active from the icon on my desktop. Do I still need to put the 3 x discs into my computer? Any help would be great. Thanks.

In short, no.
Disc 1 is PSE for Windows, but as you have installed the trial version and applied the serial number to it. You won't need it.
Disc 2 is the trial version of Premiere Elements ( 64bit).
Disc 3 is PSE for Mac.

I was unable to download the purchased version however, since I still had the trial version running on my computer. Is the solution as simple as throwing the trial version away?

The solution can be even simpler than that. All you need to do is use the serial number from your purchase to activate the trial version to full use. There is no difference between trial versions and full versions except for the time you are allowed to use them. The serial number removes the time limit on the trial version.

I recently tried out the monthly free trial for Adobe Illustrator and loved it. I registered an account, and then I purchased a month to month subscription of Adobe Illustrator. When I try to open my Illustrator now that it's bought, it gives me the same option as before and offers me a trial version. what can I do to convert my subscription or update it to my new purchased version of Adobe Illustrator?

I just purchased FCPX and am wondering how to convert my work from the Trial version.

Have you launched your paid version?
It should start up and load your projects exactly the same as the free trial . . . because they are the same app.
There is no point in finishing your projects in the trial . . . just open the paid version and carry on working.

Advice needed to switch from Trial WS2012 to live version.

I'm new to Windows Server OS & powershell, but facing a problem now.
With my trial WS2012 R2 as DC & AD, I've converted one of my client PCs from Win7 workgroup to domain.
Now I've prepared my actual WS2012 R2 in a new PC, with every setting the same as the trial version (Computer ID, domain name & IP). And added the client PC into the domain again. Thinking of a quick change over.
Just when I thought it can be easily done with a 1-to-1 replacement, my client PC created another new account when links to actual WS2012. With same domain and username again, but in another folder.
Now in my Client Win7, I have under Users folder:
1. Orginal account folder for workgroup: MyName folder.
2. After converting to domain in Trial WS2012: new MyName.MyDomain account folder.
3. After replacing to actual WS2012: another new MyName.MyDomain.000 account folder created. And files from MyName.MyDomain folder are not accessible.
Why doesn't it link up with MyName.MyDomain account folder?
I don't wish to convert the trial WS2012 to live because it was installed in an old hard disk.
I wonder will migration procedure helps. Any advice to resolve it? Thanks.

You stated in your original post that you created a new domain with all the settings the same as what you created in your original domain. That really does not make any difference because you created a new domain. Each new domain creates a new
identity. If you wanted to have everything remain the same, what you should have done was build your second server, join it to the existing domain, promote it to a Domain Controller. When it becomes a domain controller, all the information in the
existing domain is replicated to any new domain controller. After the replication completes (in your environment it would be done almost immediately), you can remove the original domain controller. At that point, your PC would have been able to
log into the exact same account as you did with the second installation and you would not have ended up with a third profile.
As for recovery of a failed server, that's what backups are for. You can use a backup tool, such as Windows Server Backup that comes as part of the operating system, to create an offline backup of your domain controller. Recommendation is to
keep this up to date; that is, take regular backups.
A second method is to have at least two servers in your environment running as domain controllers. This generally applies to shops that have more than a single server. That way if one Domain Controller goes down, the other one remains to service
requests. It does not preclude the need to take backups.

I purchased Premiere Elements after installing hte trial version. I input the serial number at welcome screen but still see the watermark. Is the full version different? Do I need to go through download again?

Upgrading from trial verion to full version.

Hello all,
Our company has just download the trail version for Sun One Web Server 6.1. Now we are all happy with it and going to buy a full version. My question is do we need to reinstall the trail version or there is a place to enter the licence key? We all don't want to redo it again since there are so many custom steps already done.

You don't need to reinstall or enter a license key. There is only one release of the software. There aren't separate "trial" and "full" versions, only different license agreements.

Anyone know how to open a project after going from Trial to full purchase?

i purchased the full version of Premier Elements 8 and the project I had been working on for weeks just won't open. It seems like it's there, but nothing happens when I click on the file. Any ideas?

Unless the Project file (.PREL) has become corrupted, there should be no reason for a Project, created in the trial, to not Open in the full-paid version. The ONLY difference between the two programs is that trial will embed a watermark on the Exported footage.
This FAQ Entry will instruct you on changing the Project, to remove that watermark.

You can simply use the email address used to purchase the subscription to license the software from trial version.
The subscription is linked to the Adobe ID (email address).

Welcome to the Support Communities! I’m happy to hear that you liked the Final Cut Pro X software enough to purchase the full version. You will be amazed at all of the things you can do with this creative software!
The full Final Cut Pro X application will recognize the Libraries (and the projects and clips contained in them) that you created with the Trial Version. By default, these libraries are in the Movies folder in your User Account on your Mac, unless you chose an external hard drive to store this data. So, all you should have to do is launch the new Final Cut Pro X application and you should be able to pick up exactly where you left off. Once everything is working with your purchased software, quit Final Cut Pro X, and delete the FCPX Trial by dragging it from the Applications folder to the Trash.

I just purchased the upgrade from trial to full version. It does not work. It asks for my orginal serial key and when I paste in the trial key it says invalid??

Downloaded trial and then purchased the activate the full version option. The activation keys don't work. It wants an 'original' key. When I use the trial key it rejects it as invalid! Have I just been robbed of 75 quid?

You know, I had seen your similar post in other forum with same issue. This itself is confusing for other participants including myself to keep track of forum discussion regarding same issue.

For many people are aware that what it means or what does this having to do with upgrading qualification with any applications. Why did you think you would get to upgrade that easily from trail try out app to licensed one?

Once again, I am sorry that you get your view all wrong and lead into thinking that you are entitled to do so. But you need to understand that once if you had purchased a full license app from try-out app. Most people know what does that mean with try out app for the first time. And most people know that if they wish to purchase an application, this means purchasing a boxed (or electronic downloaded file) from Apple retail store (or online store). Plus, new venue at Apple offering Mac App store. I think that is a little confusion for some people who are not familiar with the difference.
I do believe that if you purchase from Mac App store, it doesn't require to put in license serial number. I think it is a different approach for some reason. I had bought some other Mac apps (not Aperture) from Mac App store few times. I haven't purchased Aperture updated version straight from Mac App store online. I bought mine from Apple retail store in Canada in person.
I still don't understand why you still think Apple is misleading you all the way. I don't think it is. In case if you haven't notice... there is way for you to get in touch with Apple called Apple Support Express Lane. Give it a try.

Do I move the trial version to the trash and purchase or purchase and use the code on the trial version. If I move the trial version to the trash I assume I dont loose any photos. Either way when I start Aperture with the purchased version I need to 'consolidate masters' to move my photos from iPhoto, Once I have done that I can then delete my iPhoto library. I have created a few books with the trial version and dont want to loose those in the update.
