Frozen? apps

Hello All,
I need your hep once again.
I am running an I-mac -
Processor 2.4 Intel Core 2 Duo
I dragged a picture from my I=photo to the dock to
Photo shop - -part of Creative suite 3
When I did a small dialogue box opens - - -but it is BLANK
and only has the "yellow" button Normally it should have 3
(green red yellow)
Something is frozen.
I tried several force quits - -then repaired permissions
then verified the disk with Utility
So to further explain - -let's say I select a picture on my HD
I then say - -Open with -and I choose PS - the picture will open
but the white dialogue box comes up and I can't do anything
I see the picture - -it doesn open - -BUt ALL the menu items are greyed out
What the heck did I do? Any ideas how to fix it?

Hello All,
I fixed the computer and thought I would share the info
I learned on the net.
The problem was CS3 was looking to sign in or register
and yet the screen was blank.
The solution - - disconnect from the internet - then launch
an CS app - -it would give you a dialog box - -i checked never
and things went along well.
I restarted the computer and hooked to the internet and all is well

I don't fully understand what the System Reset does but I've found that it cures many ills. It's easy, quick and harmless:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.
Also, you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide. Pay special attention to page 162. Note that this Guide also applies to the iPad-1 with IOS 4.3 except for those functions that are not supported by the hardware.

Finally, the User Guide can be downloaded at no charge via iBooks and a less comprehensive version of the Guide is included as a Safari bookmark.

3GS Constant Issues: Application Image Changes/Frozen Apps/Low Signal, ETC

This is my THIRD iphone 3GS! So I would like to know if there is going to be a recall. My battery dies extremely quickly. My application images change and they freeze. I have the iphone 3g and I have great signal strength but the iphone 3gs does not. I have went through the Restore process/not restoring it from the old iphone onto the new (to not have the corrupt data on the new iphone)/ reboot the applications/ restart one by one and still the same issues. I have asked if it is an At&t issue but that would not explain the application image changes or frozen apps. All of my applications are updated... itunes and mac updated. brand new version...
Any one having the same issues?

The only "solid" rumor is that a new OS 3.1 is in the works.

So, I called support this morning, if this happens to you, call them.
There's nothing you can do on your own at this point (without voiding a warranty.)

I did a hard reset to fix a frozen app. Now the number lock comes up straight away and will not accept my number. Was there ever a default number. Any help apreciated Alan.

I did use the number lock then i did a gard reset to resolve a frozen app. Now the number lock will not accept my number. Is there a default number, or can I somehow disable the number lock?

There is no default passcode that will unlock your iPad.
You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
You will probably have to use recovery mode

Frozen apps & says waiting

My pandora app is frozen and says waiting for the past couple days now and I don't have my computer to connect it and delete the app on a PC. What do I do now ? I have an iPad2

It's very easy you only have to click on the pandora app and it will begin to download

I shopped in the Apps store and selected Kindle. It responded with a Kindle pop-up but the screen is now frozen. Cannot select anything in the Apps store. How do I un-freeze?

"Frozen" is such a vague explanation in some ways - try to reset the iPad - or quit all open apps from the task bar and restart
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Frozen apps in Mountain Lion!

I just upgraded my macbook pro to mountain lion and my built in apps get frozen once the open, this happens with notes, appstore, address book... does any one have any suggestions??? I re-installed ML and solved nothing!!

One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.

Frozen app download

My iPhone is frozen at the "click ok" to download. I connected to my Mac, synced, still frozen. downloaded the app to my Mac powerbook and synced, I click on the app store on the iphone...still frozen at the "click ok to download" Any other solution short of restore?

I have a 3G. Have had no problems at all downloading apps...until now. I tried downloading a weather app, and for the last few days it has not downloaded, just says "waiting". I've decided I'd like to delete it, but not sure how to do this since it seems to be frozen.
Can anyone help me with this problem?

Force a frozen app

I opened an application that won't do anything. It's frozen and I don't know how to close it. Help?

Try right-clicking (or CTRL-clicking) the app icon in the Dock — you should see a "Force Quit" option. If not, open Activity Monitor (an app in your Applications > Utilities folder), find the app in the list and Force Quit it.

Another user has found a solution to this problem and posted it in these forums...it is to clear the application cache:
1. Open App World
2. Go to My World
3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T
3b. For Storm/Pearl -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (
3a. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot

Frozen app store

my app store is frozen cant download or update applications. i only see a grey screen and then it kicks me out... is there a way to fix it?
i have the newest update
