FTP download from AS400-Help me!
Hi all,
I'm very frustrated!!!!.
I'm trying to download a file from AS400 via FTP using org.apache.commons.net.FTPClient class, but as i download it by
ftpClient.retrieveFile(remotePath,anOutputStream)
i get a no ASCII file (opening file in local machine with word pad i see very bizarre characters!).
If i download the same file by using ftp client at command line:
ftp>login
etc..........
adding ftp>bin command and ftp>get fileName i get the good result.
How could I replace ftp "bin" command by using org.apache.commons.net.FTPClient class ?

1. ok so my brother synced his new ipod on my computer with my library playlist can he down load songs from a cd in his ps3 or does he need to always us my computer?

I am going to buy my own ipod touch soon and I want to know if I can sync it with my own name showing on my ipod and not my brothers since he set his up on her you know like for example jo's music that name wont show on mine will it? will it reconize a different serial # when I plug mine in apoosed to his which was setup on my computer?He cannot load music from the PS3 and the computer, it is one or the other.
You can use your iPod on the computer an it will be treated as a totally different iPod from your bothers. When you connect it, you will be asked to give it a name (which you can change at any time anyway). and you can manage the music on your iPod independently of your brothers. -
Patch download from Utilities tab fails
One of the best feature of this tool is the ability to download and process patches. I have tried about everything to get this to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Attachments dont download from Gmail in Safari, They disappear,I even tried re-downloading Safari and that download disappeared, it is not in my downloads folder, I actually searched in finder for the file and it is nowhere on my computer. Please help!
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

When I try to play music downloaded from itunes on my iPhone 4S it says 'this URL is not found on the server'. This does not happen when I play the same music on my iPad. The music plays fine. The message also comes up when I try and login to iTunes on my iMac. Can anyone help?

Yesterday We went to At and T store and they told me to download from old phone to new phone and I am really upset and I got Icloud and prove but part of still in 4S and has not go in 5S and that is biggest problem and no commuication that woman stay follow what she said but still not working so I do not know what else to do my do not understand and I would like to have someone do for us and AT and T store can not do that part so Told me Apple store and I called last night talk to some one on Apple store but told me that no go back to AT and T store so now total confuse and I am not get anywhere so and why they will not do it so therefore I do not think computer that not clear for us because we have no experince in computer program for this so both are deaf and not clear so over 50 years age and so we need face someone to do for us and told us do our self which is total upset us more so because my twins are in Orlando and can not call them because of problem contiunes in heart so I need someone who we can trust and help us. I do have IPAD mini and almost lost my calls to my twins and today I think get back but not 100 % so I am kind upset and who email us or I will have to go Apple Store and see if they know personal.
Open this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109 print it from the computer and follow the steps there. You need to backup your data from the first device and then restore that to the new device.

I recently started using my desktop iMac 27" and have been having problems since installing Mavericks, not saying that Mavericks is the problem per se. I think I have too many accounts with too many names, with too many Apple IDs and too many passwords, email passwords and Apple ID passwords, and keychain passwords, etc. Can't keep them straight even though I write everything down. The screen has been making me log in and log out with Account name and passwords after everything I've been doing, also confused about Users and Groups and how to sync everything. I finally just "shut down" everything and the screen was black. When I turned the computer on again, the circular gear in the middle just kept turning but nothing happened after that. Then I held the on button in the back until the screen went black again.
What should I do? Is there a way to combine all my accounts into one account with one Apple ID? I should say that I also have trying to use iCloud and it has different IDs and passwords. Also when I try to log in with one account name, I can't enter anything I write,and when I type on the keyboard, nothing appears on the screen, although I can receive emails, I can't send them.
In another account, what I type does appear on the screen, but I think it's an earlier account and doesn't translate aver to the other account. ALTHOUGH i set up iCloud accounts, they don't appear any more.
Very confused. Any Ideas about how I can get the computer to start up again and show a new screen?
Thanks to anyone who has workable suggestions.If you really believe that your system has been compromised, here's what you do:
Disconnect your Mac from your cable modem;
Back up any documents on your system that are important to you;
Boot your Mac from the system installation disks that came with it (insert the disk, restart your Mac, and hold down the "c" key until you get the "spinning gear" icon);
Choose a language and click the arrow button to continue;
From the Utilities menu, choose Disk Utility;
In Disk Utility, select your computer's hard drive;
Click the "Erase" tab;
Click the "Security Options" button and select to have it overwrite all the data on the hard drive;
Click the "Erase" button and allow it to process;
Once the "erase process has completed (it will take a while), reinstall Mac OS X.
Or, if this is too much for you to accomplish on your own, take your system to an Apple Store and have them help you perform these steps. If your system was indeed compromised, this will remove any such hack. You can then set up a new user account for the computer, reinstall your applications (reinstall only from original disks or downloads from the company making the software) and documents, and reconnect to the Internet.
Note that when you reconnect to the cable modem, you may still get an IP address starting with 198. This is normal with some cable modems and probably not a cause for concern. It will not be an indication that your system is still compromised; that will not be possible if you perform all the above steps.

I have iTunes 10.6.3.25 and I can't find my audiobooks that I downloaded from a library website. The audiobook tab is visible in iTunes but none of the audiobooks are there. They are on my iPod nano. Please help!
When you say they are displaying in your iTunes library, are you talking about the Audiobooks section of your iTunes library and not the audiobooks section indented under the iPod in the left pane of iTunes under Devices?
Is the iPod Shuffle configured to sync audiobooks or do you manually manage the iPod's contents?

ITUNES downloads from store causing BSOD windows stop error- Please Help!
Hi everyone,
maybe someone can help me out or knows how to fix this problem.
Problem in detail:
This problem started since I updated to the latest version of itunes 7 to download video for my ipod video 30gb. Itunes worked perfect on my computer before updating as I used it with an ipod mini.
I was able to use my new IPOD 30gb fine and transfer all my music to it correctly.
The main problem occurrs when downloading anything from itunes store...1st noticed this when my podcasts were updating and downloading and then the system suddenly crashed with the windows blue screen error message and had to reboot. This happened multiple times so I disabled the automatic downloads of podcasts. Itunes then works fine when not downloading anything.
I then tried purchasing a TV show, whole series, and when it began downloading, the Exact same Error and Blue screen will occur--Very Frustrating.
I uninstalled ITUNES and Quicktime, and then reinstalled them via the latest download from itunes. The same errors still occur.
When windows reboots and sends error report to Microsoft, it states the error is due to a Driver error of which the specific driver is not known.
I have called apple/itunes support and spoke with them and they could not figure out the problem and said I should check with my computers cust service and/or microsoft as it was probably something on this end...I did this and they stated the problem must be something with itunes and especially since all other programs run fine on my system.
SO basically I am going in circles trying to figure this out so I am hoping someone here may know how to fix this problem.
Not only that, but I tried the same on my desktop as I figured I could at least download my podcasts and purchases to my desktop and then transfer to my ipod from there(as I am mainly using my labtop for my ipod) and updated my desktop to itunes 7 latest version,, and figured it would work on my desktop with same operating system----but it Caused the SAME error BSOD as my labtop and in same fashion....only when downloading from itunes.
ANy help is much appreciated as I got the ipod video mainly because of ITUNES video content and podcasts and if I cannot use these major functions on ITUNES than This Was a Complete Waste for me to get the Video IPOD.

download. As a matter of interest was the
installation for both computers done from the same
download file?
When your computer dies, can you read the stop
message or does it disappear, if it does, go to
Control Panel>System>Advanced
Click Settings in Start Up and Recovery and make sure
that Automatically Restart is no checked.
You should be able to get a stop number from the blue
screen and you may also be able to identify the
filename of a driver, which could give a clue to the
problem.
The Microsoft Website has a certain amount of help on
specific stop messages, you can search for the number
of the stop message which will be something like
0x0000000A.

As far as the content being downloaded from itunes---consisted of different podcasts and also on a separate occasion-the tv show Heroes complete season on ITUNES..So I would guess the error has nothing to do with the content being downloaded.
The ITUNES installation for both computers was from the same itunes download file on this website on apples itunes free download.
I did not write down the most recent stop numbers and no drivers seemed to be named on the blue screen from what I could tell, but I guess I could be missing something...
From a previous crash with the BSOD- the error message listed was this: STOP: 0x00000050 (0xbad0b158, 0x00000000, 0x8056ea22, 00000002)
not sure if this helps maybe figure out the cause of this or not.

i recently upgraded my 4s to a 5s. the verizon store took my old phone for a trade in. i cannot get any of my pictures to download from icloud. my photo stream folder only has a small percentage of the photos in it. any help would be greatly appreciated.
That's possible if he didn't connect to a WiFi hotspot after taking them. I don't think the "Personal" Photo Stream uploads over Cellular, unless they changed it since the last time I used it.
If that's the case, then the photos likely didn't upload to Photo Stream and are stuck on the phone.
And you're not going to be able to get them back, either. -

Does the iPad and iBooks only sync in iCloud for purchases as I appear to be doing something wrong.
