FTP_R3_TO_SERVER gives error " FTP SubCommand Local Error"

Hi
I have an issue with the transfer of data from SAP internal table to FTP server
I am using the function module FTP_R3_TO_SERVER.
Using this function module I am able to transfer data only some times.
Most of the time it gives the error message "FTP SubCommand Local Error" .
Could someone help me resolve this error.
Its quite urgent.
Help to resolve this is much appreciated.

Is your system a Unicode system?
If so the problem can be resolved if you have a unicode version of
SAPFTP program in your desktop according to note 93042.
Please follwo the note 93042 and download the latest sapftp.
Execute sapftp -V on your command prompt. This should show you the ftp
version stating if it is unicode.

Job Cancelled_FTP subcommand: Local error_ECC6_Oracle10_Solaris10

Hi,
We are facing problem with background job.
Requirement: Program collects various details related to Sales (from various tables) creates one test file and same will be placed in some other Non-SAP application through FTP.
Observation:
While in foreground it is working fine and file geting placed in non-SAP application but in background it is throughing error with job status cancelled as "FTP subcommand: Local error"
Job log :
Job started
Step 001 started (program <program>, variant <variant>, user ID <user id>)
FTP subcommand: Local error
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE
Any one encounter this problem???

In fact it is not working foreground as well. In foreground also we are getting "FTP subcommand: Local error" but manuall ftp is working fine.
We have total 25 Z-programs, otehr programs working fine both in foreground and background.
We are not getting any short dumps or system logs entries.
we r using these function modules to send data to FTP from a program

FTP Sub Command: Local Error with EasyDMS

We have been using DMS for several years. We have a vault setup and are able the checkin files with FTP via SAPGUI with no problems. Recently we have been looking at EasyDMS. We have it installed and can login ok. When we try to drag a file into the windows explorer the popup appears and we can enter the META data. When the file is checkin via FTP we get FTP Sub Command: Local Error.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have encountered the exact same siituation with EasyDMS, we currently have had an OSS call to SAP for 2 weeks that ended up with the developers in Germany and bouncing the issue back to technical support and stating that they have no idea!
We are also interested in an answer, sorry I can't help you, but you are not alone.

What corrective action to supply a supported locale?

Web-Disk on OSX 10.9 Give me this error: "Finder got an error: Network file permission error."

Previously I was using OSX 10.8 and Web Disk was working great.
Since I upgraded to OSX 10.9 Web Disk Dont Attach to my compputer and give me this ERROR:
FInder got an error: Network file permission error.
When I got this ERROR first time I searched GOOGLE and found this link: http://cammodude.blogspot.no/

To force all connections to be SMB1:
Open A terminal window
paste in the following line followed by the return key(should be all on one line):
echo "[default]" >> ~/Library/Preferences/nsmb.conf; echo "smb_neg=smb1_only" >> ~/Library/Preferences/nsmb.conf
What the command does:
Creates a file called nsmb.conf in your home directory at the path ~/Library/Preferences/nsmb.conf.
Adds directives to force SMB connections to use the SMB1 protocol. This is slower but stable.
Then I could use Web Disk on OSX 10.9 after executing this command in Terminal.
But now I restarted my Macbook and now Im NOT able to connect to Web Disk and get the same ERROR.
FInder got an error: Network file permission error
After trying 100 times it attaches 1 time but then show this ERROR:
Can't get <<class cdis>> "my.server.com/2078" of application "Finder".
If this happen then I can see the files in Finder and see the Contents and Size of files but if I open a PHP file in BBEdit then it shows BLANK.. But actually it is NOT blank.
Now Im stuck How can I solve this? All help is highly appericated..

Make sure to chmod the app, something like this :
chmod -Rf 777 secure_site_WebDisk.app
(in my case the CPanel provided the app for my OSx version.)

While transferring Adobe from laptop to PC the licensing files got corrupt and the right way to use Adobe Applications is to install first as transferring from a different machine can give you problems.
You can try steps from this article if that helps otherwise you have to reinstall and manually delete some files , everything is mentioned.

I found some more interesting log entries and it seems to be a user password problem:
Retries exceded, set message 38f10280-3388-11dc-9c91-0003ba5d1d27(INBOUND) to status NON_DELIVERED.
Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)

Is this the user/password of the channel or is it service user for the JCO?

I have installed M2E plugin for eclipse and working on a Maven project in OEPE 12c.
Running the facelet on the remote server , the results are returned, wheras running the facelet in the local server , the below error occurs

I scheduled a Webi report to be FTP'ed. I got the below error:
Error Message: A database error occured. The database error text is: The SAP SSO authentication process will fail because the current user doesn't have an alias that matches system DB1CLNT100.. (WIS 10901)
The system is XI R3.1 (no SP or FP) against SAP BW.
When I schedule the Webi report, I have to supply the FTP server credentials including username and password. Does this username and password have to exist in SAP BW as well?

Hi Praveen,
As you have mention the Error, it is related to database. Try to double check with the ODBC / TNS name connection depends on which database you are using. For Oracle: TNS name connection and SQL: ODBC connection where you need to setup the connection, and close the application and restart .If you still find the same error then need to see you database administrator. Hope this info might helpful.

Thanks for your feed back. I could see Microsoft.ReportViewer.ProcessingObjectModel.dll to add as reference to my project. Actually I can open generated rdlc in designer, at run time I get error. I could not make out where is the exact mistake out of three
options flashed.

When we want to create a template of a virtual machine, we receive the following error. The environment has the following components and servers:
* Windows Server 2012 R2 U1 with Hyper-V role enabled
* High available Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 RU2 (two virtual servers on Hyper-V 2012 R2)
* High available Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 Library servers (two virtual servers on Hyper-V 2012 R2)
There're a few things I've already checked:
* Self-signed certificates in the Trusted People store --> OK
* Windows Firewall turn off --> OK
* Re-added a Hyper-V host to the SCVMM environment
* Reboot the VMM servers and the library servers
* Export port usage and conflicts with netstat -a -b --> OK, no conflicts
* Free disk space on the VMM library servers --> OK
The job is starts fine, but step 1.2 "Store virtual machine W2012R2TMPL from HV01 to CLSCVMMLIB01" Failed. So it looks like the sysprep fase is going well. When VMM is trying to store the virtual machine in the library, it fails.
Who is familar with this issue and can help me find a solution for this?
