As far as i know pse 10 will never be updated to open the FinePix X100s files since the camera is pretty new and even pse 11 won't open them until the new version of camera raw 7.4 ships.
However you could download the
DNG Converter 7.4 Release Candidate
and convert your X100s files to dng copies which pse 10 should open in the pse 10 editor.
It's very important that you get the DNG Converter and not the plugin (the plugin won't work in pse 10)

Does anybody knows when will Aperture support Fujifilm Xpro1 raw files?? It have been pendning for a while already, really hope there will be an update soon. Thanks.

I firmly disencourage people to purchase Aperture these days.
To everyone asking me for advise as a Pro photographer.
Apple attitude on this issue is of abandonement and ignorance of users needs.
Unfortunately, the feeling is that this is going to be the permanent standard.
They are not providing translations, not providing support to models such as X-Pro1 that has received inmediate reaction from major developers, neither do care for users that openly claim for RAW support for an extended model as X-10.
This is somehow another sign of apple arrogance in term of market predominant coompany.
If Apple do not begin to lose sales and an importan market share this is going to be worse and worse.
Best way: Ignore Aperture.
Adobe is nowadays the ONLY option for photographers.
I don't like Lightroom so I must select my shots with Photo Mechanic, or Xnview and then go to photoshop.
Sick of Apple.

I have recently bought a Canon 7D MkII and have found Adobe Lightroom does not as yet support the 7D MkII. So I though Aperture may support the 7D MkII because Yosemite 10.10.1 now does.

Either use 'SYLKPIX Developer Studio SE' to develope the RAW files and to save them in another lossless format like TIFF, or try if Adobe's free DNG Coverter can convert your Lumix RAW files to dng. Then import the dngs. This way, your files will still be RAW files. This works (most times) for my Lumix FZ28.

"Unsupported format" with imported DNGs from Fujifilm E900 RAW files

When I import a DNG generated by Adobe DNG Converter 5.1 from a Fujifilm E900 RAW file, I get the dreaded "unsupported format" label. I thought Aperture 2.x was supposed to handle DNGs created from unsupported RAW formats. There was lots of hoopla around this when Aperture 2 was released. Now it doesn't work?
I'd really like to buy an E900, but not if I can't get the RAW images into Aperture.
Anyone got a workaround?

Thanks, Guys. I've tried doing the DNG conversions as both mosaic and linear, and neither works. Guess Aperture just doesn't like this camera. It's a shame, as the E900 is one of the few digicams that shoots RAW, and the only one available for under $200. Still, I don't want to have to go back to ACR to do my RAW conversions. Guess I'll have to wait for the price on the Panasonic DMC-LX3 to come down.

Raw files not supported

I have a new Canon T2i and can't seem to get the raw files to open in Elements 8. I have downloaded the 5.6 camera raw update and the DNG converter and both say camera raw files not supported......now what?

I have also an EOS Rebel T2i since a few days and I experienced the same issue with Photoshop CS4. What next? !!!!
It's likely the next version of Adobe Camera Raw will handle it; Adobe updates ACR about every three or four months, and the most recent version was released in December:

Opening raw file (.raf) from Fujifilm x100s with Elements 10

Hi -
I am unable to open .raf files created by my new Fujifilm x100s camera. I have PSE 10. According to Help --> Updates, I have the most current versions of everything installed. My ACR Version is 6.7.0.339.
I see references tro Adobe Camera Raw version 7 but it looks like that version is not compatible with PSE10, only PSE11.
Sticking with PSE 10, what is the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw that I can use and that will support opening .raf files from the Fuji x100s? I'm afraid to attempt installation of ACR 7 without assurancesd that it will work with PSE10.

Hi Frank, you need camera Raw 7.4 which is only available for PSE11. Consider upgrading or wait for PSE12 to be launched soon. If you regularly shoot raw try Lightroom with PSE10 as your external editor.
Alternatively, download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in PSE10 (keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

Camera Raw does not support fujifilm HS50EXR Raw file.

I'm using Lightroom 5.5 and Adobe Photoshop CC (having camera raw version 8.1.0.14). I've downloaded some raw files of fujifilm HS50EXR from http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/fujifilm_finepix_hs50exr_review/sample_images/ to try and check quality. But when I import those files to lightroom it says file seem to be unsupported. Also tried in Photoshop but same result. Adobe pages of supported camera raw (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html) says fujifilm HS50EXR is supported in camera raw 7.4 and lightroom 4.4 . So why I am not able to open those raw of HS50EXR.

The first sample raw file for the HS50EXR (whatever_01.raf) on the PhotographBlog link you gave, above, works ok for me in PS CC 2014/ACR 8.5:
I don't have ACR 8.1, anymore, to test with.

Panasonic DMC-FZ30 Raw files ARE supported by others and not Aperture

I guess the question is "WHEN" will Aperture support FZ30 raw files? Lightroom has certainly beaten Aperture in that regard. I would suggest that Aperture work on supporting more camera raw files...as judged by the number of others that show up on these boards, and of course SPEED.
Other than those two issues...which are huge...I love Aperture.

I just started playing with Aperture, and with my brand new *Canon SLR EOS 40D* camera. One problem, Aperture is not recognizing the RAW file format. I am using RAW Fine**-L. Even with that it doesn't even see the JPG shots in Aperture. Went to the Canon site and it shows CR2 format. IPhoto 08 sees the JPG files just fine, It also sees the RAW files just doesn't know what to do with them. I know that RAW files are not supported on IPhoto 08. The camera is only been out a few months, but still lost on why Aperture doesn't support the format. Maybe I am missing something. Anyone have any ideas?

For some reason or another Adobe Photo Shop 7 is no longer supported in Leopard. When you lunch Photo shop 7 in Leopard. You get "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred because of a Program error. Photo Shop will now exit." even if you reinstall the program, still you get the same error. Photo Shop 7 is Not the latest and greatest, but in most cases, that is all you need. Not sure if they plan on a fix, so for now I put that program on a shelve.

Adobe DNG files not supported in Aperture 3.1.2?

Those of you that follow this forum may have read my previous post - https://discussions.apple.com/message/15009745#15009745 - about RAW files from my old Windows machine whice look fine in iPhoto, but when I imported my iPhoto library into Aperture 3 they have this red haze over them like a flash coloured gel.
As I said, the older files came from my old Windows machine, where they had been stored in Photoshop Elements, and in the past I had converted them from Canon's .CRW file format to Adobe's .DNG format. I've just checked in Aperture, and it is indeed only these which are washed out - all of the Canon .CRW files look fine, it's the Adobe .DNG files which are a mess. I'll hazard a guess that Aperture doesn't support the Adobe .DNG format I have and that is the issue, but why they are supported in iPhoto and no the professional app I can't imagine. A call to Apple tomorrow morning is in order to sort this one out I think unless any of this excellent forum's followers can offer help. Has anyone had a similar experience importing .DNG files into Aperture 3? I should add that they bad either form the original import from iPhoto, or directly importing into Aperture.

As I said in the post this provides some useful background information, but I can't imagine that iPhoto uses a better DNG converter than Aperture (although perhaps older, so maybe that's why I can see the files okay in iPhto and not Aperture?). As for my OS, it's the latest version, I've done two software update checks this week so would for sure have run that when it came around, but I appreciate yours and others thinking on this problem of mine.

D90 NEF (RAW) files not supported in Preview in Leopard 10.5.5

Nikon D90 NEF (RAW) files are not displaying in Finder. There is an updater for iPhoto 08 and Aperture 2 that supports these files: Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 2.3, but it won't install if you don't have these applications.
Anyway to install the update so that it works for Leopard?
My workflow is Finder/Automator/Preview/Lightroom, so Preview support is important to me - it seems strange that the updater doesn't install it.

So you want a patch for iPhoto 06 that does the same as the patch for iPhoto 08. IMHO you should hold your breath for it because I don't see much chance of that happening.
I suggest you upgrade your iPhoto or get Aperture.
