Full backup of the KM without backing all the SAP EP 7.0

Hello,
I want to know how can I do a Full backup of the KM without backing all the SAP EP 7.0
Thank you in advance.
Pablo Mortera.

Depending on what you want with the Backup you could:
1. Make a KM transport --> select all the content... it will generate a .KMC object
2. Create a copy of all documents to a seperate location using WebDAV (with or without Portaldrive)
But if you realy want a regulair backup proces that is scheduled then you do not have any onther choice then:
FSDB --> backing up both the DB and the Filesystem. Because it are seperate backups you must be 100% sure that there are no alterations between both backups so a offline backup would be the savest in this case.
DB --> backing up the DB.

  • Touch screen stopped working. Is there anyway to force a full backup of the iPhone without typing in my passcode lock or is there anyway to force it to connect to a WiFi network so the phone can backup to iCloud??

    Hello all, I could use some help with my iPhone 4, I hope this is the best place to ask!
    The Problem:
    I want to do a full backup of my iphone to either itunes or to icloud. Unfortunately the iphone got wet and isn’t working properly. The phone turns on and still works, but the touch screen no longer works. I have a passcode lock on the phone so iTunes will not allow me to backup it up until I type in the passcode (which I cannot physically do). WiFi had been turned off before it got wet so it won’t connect to any known WiFi networks either to backup automatically to iCloud.
    What happened:
    I had been travelling for 6 months and went tubing on a river with my iphone in a dry bag. Unfortunately the dry bag failed and filled with water ruining my iphone.
    What I’d like to do:
    It’s an old phone and I was planning on buying a new iPhone anyway. I would love to do a full backup to either iCloud or to my computer so when I get a new iPhone I don’t lose anything. I’ve already connected it to my PC and downloaded all the photos and videos off the phone so at least I haven’t lost that, but I would like to be able to recover all the text messages, WhatsApp messages and notes I had created during my 6 months of travel.
    The last time it was backed up to my pc or to icloud was in April, so there are 6 months worth of very meaningful data I would love to keep to remind me of my travels!
    Is there anyway to force a full backup of the iPhone without typing in my passcode lock or is there anyway to force it to connect to a WiFi network so the phone can backup to iCloud??
    iTunes recognizes the phone just now and I tried upgrading the phone to iOS7 in the hopes that it would first backup and then upgrade. Unfortunately all that happened is the phone upgraded to iOS7, but it didn’t backup to iTunes. Now the phone is stuck at the iOS7 welcome screen and I can’t do anything else with it.
    Any ideas or tips would be welcome!
    NOTE: This is NOT a jailbroken iPhone.

    If there is no other way around this, is there anyway to completely wipe the phone then??
    The Apple store agreed to give me a new iPhone 4 as a warranty replacement for $150 (I travel a lot and I have a factory unlocked phone, so this is still worth it for me).  But before I trade it in, I would like to make sure all my data is backed up on the device first.
    When I try and restore the phone now on iTunes, it says I have to turn off Find My iPhone on the phone first before I can restore it.  Now since I can't use the screen I can't really do that.
    So how do I completely wipe the iPhone???
    Thanks!

  • How to make a full backup of my iPad without using iTunes

    I need to make a full backup of my iPad.  I am using the Vudu app and have many movies downloaded to my iPad.  I have performed a backup of my iPad from iTunes onto my Macbook Pro.  The mobile backup files on my laptop are not nearly big enough for the 20+ movies (at lease 1/2 to1 GB each).   Because of this I do not believe iTunes has made a full backup including the movies.  I want to avoid having to re-download all the movies if/when the iPad drive fails.  I want a complete backup such as Time Machine or using some other external hard drive or app on my MacBook Pro.
    I bought a Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB Mobile Cloud Storage with Built-in WiFi Streaming (STCK1000100) external hard drive and installed the Seagate Media App.  I can, via the app on the iPad, see the device and copy to and from it.  But, it only allows access to music, movies in iTunes (not any movies in Vudu), and things like documents on my iPad.  It does not allow access to all the files inclding system files stored on the iPad.  I also tried another Seagate non wireless external drive that I connected directly to the iPad but the Seagate Media app does not communicate with or recognize the device from the iPad.
    I also bought DiskAid software that supposedly will make a complete backup of an App on a mobile device and installed it on my laptop.  I was able to make a complete backup of the Vudu app from the iPad onto my laptop, but in a test could not restore it to my iPad.  The backup file, though, was the right size, about 26 GB.  The DiskAid techs are looking into that.  I was able to use DiskAid to backup another app in a test (Hertz).  That app made a backup of the Hertz app onto my laptop, I deleted the app on my iPad, then I was able to restore it.  But right now the restore option is not working for Vudu.
    Another option would be to copy the movie files off of the iPad onto my Laptop, but the iPad does not appear in the finder window on the Laptop.
    I have about decided my MacBook Pro laptop will have to be the main repository for all the downloaded movies, since I can make a Time Machine backup of everything.
    It is very frustrating to not be able to make a full backup of everything on my iPad.
    Anyone else have any ideas?   Apple - when are you going to provide a way to make a full backup of an iPad?

    I recommend Super Duper as well. I use it batch mode to automatically back up my iMAC every night at 2 am. It's saved my life a couple of times- once my disk crashed (under warranty)and what could have been a disaster (1000's of irreplaceable photos) was a 2 day inconvenience.
    Now and then I boot up from my backup on my firewire drive, wipe, check and reformat my internal hard disk, copy back all my files and I'm good to go

  • How to make a FULL backup of the MBP

    Hi, I have to sent the MBP in because I have some strange noises. The question is how can I backup my full computer like it is now, erase ( format) it and play the whole thing on it again, when I finaly get the repaired one back.
    I could use one of my FW 500 drives.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks

  • Cannot perform full backup and the the Reconnect screen occurs often

    Lately I have been noticing the screen within the Lynk software asking me to either reconnect or reload. The device was connected and has not been removed in fact it is still on.
    I try running a full backup using Lynk and it fails each time. When I run a settings back-up it works without a problem.

    Likely, it is some third party application in the backup App Data which is causing the backup failure.
    You can make separate backups of Settings, Media and App Data.
    First, do a Reboot: On the side edge volume keys, press and hold down both of the Up and Down volume keys for about 20 seconds, ignoring the initial screenshot message... the screen will go black and reboot.
    Now, try the App Data backup again.

  • How do you exit without backing all the way out or using an app killer?

    There is no "X", there is no "exit" under "menu". I have been using Dolphin which has just about everything you need when you click the menu button.

    Like most Android apps (including the built-in Browser, Maps, and GMail apps), Firefox does not have an exit button. Android automatically closes apps in the background when it needs their resources.
    If you do need to quit Firefox manually, try the "Quit Fennec" add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/221517/

  • How to make a *full* backup (including the hidden partition), free solution prefered =) [T400]

    Hi,
    I'm planning on messing with my system a little (re-partition, install linux) and I want a full-proof recovery plan. This should work in case I *completely* mess up my HD (bad boot records, destroyed partitions, etc.)
    I have an external hard drive with plenty of free space. How would I make a completely backup; something that would restore everything (including the hidden partition) to its current state?
    Is there any way to do this using free/opensource?
    Keep in mind that if there's a linux app that can do this, I can just boot up using a live CD and run the app from there.
    Thanks in advance.

    Vista or XP? What is/was the partition layout? IIRC, w/XP the 2nd partition is the service partition (hd0,1) and with Vista it is the first (hd0,0).  I don't know if that is always the case, so how is your drive layed out?
    ISTR that with XP the service partition is "hidded' by using an ID of 12 (or something) even though it is a FAT32 partition.  Grub might be unhappy with the ID.  Changing it to "C" might let it boot. That's just a WAG.  My recollection is that the ID only affected where I could install the grub files, not what I could boot.
    I've got some old notes here somewhere:  www.beezmo.com/ThinkPadT61.htm maybe in "partitioning" or Windows XP.
       **** grrr.  the insert link thingy isn't working.  the link above is literally correct, but the forum is inserting some invisible characters ****
    I don't know clonezillla.  Will it let you restore only one of the partitions?  If so, do a restore to factory (with the recovery media you made immediately on receiving the laptop) and then restore only the Vista or XP partition from clonezilla.
    HTH,
    Z.

  • Applying the arch logs after the full backup

    DB version:10GR2
    In NOCATALOG mode, I am going to take a full backup (Hot) of DBx (800gb) using the command
    run {
    allocate channel c1 TYPE DISK connect 'sys/dempo'  FORMAT   '/u04/bkp/stprod_%U.rbk';
    backup as compressed backupset database tag 'full'  plus archivelog;
    }and restore it into DBy.
    But how can i apply the archive logs generated in DBx during the full backup after the full backup?
    The restored control file doesn't know about these archived logs. Right?

    with controlfile autobackup off, the backup will be 'complete', as backing up a whole database means backing up it's system tablespace(1 st datafile to be exact, which is the part of system tablespace)The SYSTEM datafile (or multiple datafiles in SYSTEM) may be the first or the second or the nth datafile to be backed up. The BackupSet consisting of multiple backup pieces may have other tablespaces backed up after the SYSTEM datafile. Those other tablespaces and possible redo log switches have timestamps which succeed the SYSTEM datafile backup . Therefore, those other tablespaces and redo log switches are not captured in that controlfile backup that was included with the SYSTEM datafile.
    (Yes, I know we can use the controlfile backup --- but I am just pointing out that this doesn't meet the OP's requirement that the controlfile be aware of all redologs that have been switched during or after the database backup).

  • Is it possible to restore database from a full backup without controlfile?

    Hi,
    I have done a full backup for the database oracle 11g using:
    run{
    allocate channel c1 type disk;
    set limit channel c1 kbytes 102400;
    sql 'alter system archive log current';
    backup full tag 'dbfull' format 'd:\dbbackup\f_%d_%u_%s_%p_%t' database include current controlfile;
    backup archivelog all delete input format 'd:\dbbackup\al__%d_%u_%s_%p_%t';
    release channel c1;
    but, I deleted all the datafiles include all control files.
    Is it possible to restore the database?
    Is there a way to restore the control file from the backup files?

    Thanks Werner!
    I finally find the correct backuppiece for the controlfile.

  • How to create a new full backup alongside existing one?

    I have recently reinstalled my MBP from scratch and installed some apps from scratch as well. I still have my old TM backup in a sparsebundle on my NAS (a ReadyNAS NV+).
    I now would like to create a complete new full backup alongside my existing one. Or put differently, a new folder/backup inside the Backups.backupdb inside the mounted sparsebundle. Currently I see a folder called "XYZs MacBook Pro". I'd like that to be renamed to something like "XYZs Old MacBook Pro" and create a new full backup under "XYZs MacBook Pro".
    I understand you end up having multiple folders inside Backups.backupdb if you have many Macs (with different MAC addresses). I only have one Mac, but want TM to treat my old previous backup (of the same MPB, hence with the same MAC address) as if it was from another Mac (with a different name).
    With such a setup, I can still access backups from my previous installation of the same hardware by selecting another volume from TM (by holding Alt when clikcing at the TM icon) or with tools such as Back-In-Time.
    Is there any way to achieve this? My sparsebundle is large enough to hold another full backup alongside the old one.
    Thanks
    - Tom

    But wait, you said if I erased the disk I get a new UUID. I did not erase it but I moved all files into a /Previous folder (after booting from the install DVD), then installed the system new, and then moved user data (and some Library and some application stuff) back from /Previous. So, I guess, I have no new UUID for my internal disk.
    Ah, yes, that is different ("reinstalled from scratch" usually means erased). If the disk was never erased, it will still have the same UUID. But since you've moved or replaced virtually everything, it will all get backed up anyway.
    I'm not sure why you did all that; the old +Erase and Install+ and +Archive and Install+ options no longer exist for Snow Leopard: there's just Install, which replaces OSX without touching anything else.
    I wanted to have a *really clean* install as my old systems seemed to be messed up with some bad settings.
    So, back to my original question: how can I make the new "XYZs MacBook Pro" appear alongside the old "XYZs MacBook Pro" and switch volumes when I start TM using the Option key?
    Why would you want to do that? You can view and restore from any backup.
    I figured that way I can keep all old backups from the old installation and not have TM retire old stuff. And start a new one from scratch for the new installation where things will get retired. Basically keep the two backups apart from each other and not see any of the old stuff unless explicitly mounted using the option key.
    If I follow your approach, what happens to old files of the old disk/UUID? Will they get retired eventually? Would my original idea work as envisioned or would it retire old things nevertheless? If the latter is the case, it is of no use and your suggested approach is the better one.
    Is there maybe a ay to force TM to start a new full backup?
    Back up to a different place: a different HD or partition, or erase the current one.
    Guess that's my only option then. I created a full bootable backup to en external USB disk using Carbon Copy Cloner. Erasing the internal disk and copying back using CCC will create a new UUID then I guess ...
    I will try that in the next couple of days and report back here. Thanks a lot for all your help and explanations so far, much appreciated!

  • How can I do a FULL Backup to Oracle 8i Database?

    Hi,
    We are using a product that uses Oracle 8i and we are trying to perform a FULL Backup to the database. I am not an oracle person and not sure how to do this.
    Please also inform me on how to perform a FULL Restor for the backed up database. I would really appreaciate it.

    Before I can amply reply to your post, I need to know what tools you have.
    What is your O.S.?
    What do you want to backup to? (Tape Drive/Hard Disk)
    What time frame requirements do you have?
    Are you running in Archive Log Mode? <-- (in case you do not know, log in with svrmgrl, connect internal, run ARCHIVE LOG LIST; and tell me what is reported on the top line of output.)
    Do you have requirements that the database must be Online at all times?
    Are you using 3rd party Backup Software, if so, which one(s)?
    I know these are a lot of questions, but it helps me help you. :)

  • WARNING: Full Backup option is NOT a full backup (you lose your older voicemails)

    Just a warning out there for anyone upgrading phones or otherwise restoring from a back up.  iTunes gives the option for either iCloud backup, which will "back up the most important data on your iPhone to iCloud", OR Computer Backup in which "a full backup of your iPhone will be stored on this computer".
    A downside of the computer backup is that you have to plug in via wire. It is not a wireless option for backup. Frankly, that's not any bother. My phone sits each night at my desk anyhow to charge.
    Another downside, however, that I discoverd today is that it is NOT A FULL BACKUP.  It does not back up voicemail.  Whether there is anything else it doesn't back up, I don't know.  But it doesn't back up voicemails.  How do I know?  When I restored, I lost every voice mail older than 30 days (I'm an ATT&T user). That sweet message my 4-year-old left me. Gone.  That client I needed to get back to even thought it's been a while. Gone.
    I can't tell you how frustrating this is.  Doesn't make it better when Apple tried to start blaming AT&T.
    The Apple engineers have screwed this one up.  Either allow the option for autobackups during a wired sync AND allow iCloud backup (rather than requiring you to select either or).. OR include visual voicemail backup as part of the full back up to the computer.  In other words, make sure that "full back up" means "full".  And if you can't do either of those, then don't use the word "full" when it's not a full back up.  Include the caveat that you might lost voice mail if you don't do an iCloud back up.
    Apple: fix this.
    Consumers: Avoid this situation. Before switching phones, do the iCloud sync, then do a manual backup.  That would have avoided this situation of losing voicemails. Now I know. Too late for me -- but hopefully not for you.

    Apple blaming AT&T (as told to you by AT&T), and you believe AT&T that it's Apple's fault? Voice Mail is a service provided by your provider. Apple is not the provider - AT&T is. In the AT&T User Guide, they tell you how to permanently save your voicemails. They also say this:
    4. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO RETRIEVE MESSAGES.
    AT&T assumes no responsibility for
    the deletion or failure to store or retrieve Voice Mail messages.
    As described in Your Guide, your Service will retain only a
    limited number of messages and will store messages only
    for a limited number of days. AT&T retains the right, at AT&T’s
    sole discretion and at any time, to change any
    of the capacity limits on message exchange and st
    orage. Accordingly, timely retrieval of
    messages is your
    responsibility.
    FYI, here is a link to the AT&T Voice Mail User Guide:
    https://www.vm.att.com/dchelp/EN/att_vm_user_guide.pdf
    Apple is not to blame here - it is not Apple's job to keep your Voice Mails - it is AT&T's job. iTunes doesn't back up Voice Mail at all as indicated here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4946
    It backs up the Voice Mail password, but not the actual Voice Mail. If you only have 30 days - talk to AT&T....
    Sorry you lost your 3-year old's message. That is really sad..... Just wanted you to know where the problem actually lies.
    Cheers,

  • Time Machine doing full backup of external drive again

    I have a Time Capsule, as well as an external data drive connected to my Mac. The external drive (named Yoda) is NOT excluded from backups. Yoda has about 703 GB of data on it.
    I recently replaced the hard drive inside my time capsule. Consequently, a full backup was made, which was to be expected.
    When the new full first backup was done, I disconnected the Yoda drive. A day later, I reconnected it, and now Time Machine is saying it's doing a 703 GB backup. Since the size TM indicates its backing up is ever so slightly larger than the total amount of data on Yoda, I'm assuming it's doing a full backup of the Yoda drive for some reason (the only other drive, the system drive, only has about 200 GB on it).
    The files on Yoda weren't changed, certainly not all 703 GB of them. No hardware changes were made, no updates, tinkering, modifications, or anything. The Mac itself has not even been shut down or logged out. The ONLY thing that's happened was the Yoda drive was unmounted and disconnected, then several hours later it was reconnected.
    Why is Time Machine repeating a full backup of this external drive? Is this going to happen every time I disconnect and reconnect the drive? Is there any way to make this not happen, short of excluding the drive (which I don't want to do)?

    After posting this thread, I did find a similar thread (in the "More Like This" section) and saw your responses in it. You had suggested the same thing, as well as doing #A5 if that didn't work.
    I tried #A4 and although that seemed to work in the other thread, unfortunately it didn't work for me. So I moved on to #A5, but I could not get my Time Capsule drive to show up in the Disk Utility. I didn't see a "data folder", but I did try directly dragging the sparsebundle to the left pane of the Disk Utility, but that seemed to hang Disk Utility.
    At this point I'm probably going to try deleting the plist file as per #A4, erasing (reformatting) the drive, rebooting, and starting a whole new backup from scratch. It's not going to take much longer than backing up the entire external drive by itself would have, and I still have older backups (up to a few days ago) on the original Time Capsule drive in case of massive disaster.
    So we'll see how that goes...

  • Time machine backups up the Downloads folder every backup

    On my current and previous MBP, for some reason, after some event changes something, Time Machine decides that my Downloads folder has changed between every backup. Not just a file, but the entire folder - all 20GB of it - and backs it up again and again and again... I've looked to see if there's any hidden meta data associated with the Downloads folder (ls -l@d ~/Downloads), and there is none.
    The only thing I've been able to do is to copy the contents of my Downloads folder to an external drive. Log out as my normal user and log back in as another admin user. Then I delete the Downloads folder of my regular user. Recreate the Downloads folder and copy the content of my external copy back to the new Downloads folder. After that, TM does one full backup and after that goes back to making regular sized backups ... for a while. After some indeterminate event happens, I start the cycle again.
    Help?
