Full ipod

my ipod classic says this game cannot be launched
and it goes on to say this may be the result of a fully ipod
and the screen has stop

Usually, a hard reset resolves this problem.  To perform a hard reset, first make sure the hold switch is not in the active position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
This could take one or two tries so don't give up too quickly.

My iPod doesn't open games anymore ((help))
It says need full iPod !!

Usually a hard reset of the device resolves this error.  A reset is equivalent to rebooting your PC.  To do the reset, first make sure the Hold switch is in the Off position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Try a hard reset.  To do this, toggle the hold switch on and then off, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.  This may or may not work the first time around, so don't be afraid to try it more than once.

  • "Game cannot be launched as a result of a full Ipod"?

I had my 80GB on shuffle, and while it was going I went to play solitaire. It's now frozen on a screen that says, "This came cannot be launched. This may be the result of a full iPod."
My iPod is about a quarter to a third of the way full, memory-wise.
None of the buttons change the screen, and I plugged it into my computer (which runs on Windows 7), but nothing was recognized.
    Any ideas?

    Hello there,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Have you tried a simple reset of the iPod? To do this, verify that the hold switch is not set to On, then press and hold the Center and Menu buttons together until the Apple logo appears. You may want to attempt this a few times if no luck the first.
Then also verify that the computer recognizes it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Overwrote (full) iPod contacts with Laptop Contacts when syncing in iTunes

Overwrote (full) iPod contacts with Laptop Contacts when syncing in iTunes. Can I get old (full) contacts back?
Bakstory: Laptop crashed, got restored, but without contacts. Mistakenly thought I could upload them from my iPod. I hit sync. Big mistake. When I disconnected, I saw my iPod has the measley 4 contacts I DID have on my laptop after the crash, instead of the hundreds I had on the iPod just minutes before.
Note: There is nothing in the desktop Trashcan that says "contacts."
I also tried to post this question in the iTunes section, but for some reason I can't seem to post there.
    Thanks for any help!
(Man, everyone agrees this is a design flaw--in how you share info from iPod to CPU and can easily overwrite things you don't want to. They should fix that.)

    Yes, you can do that.
On the computer that you only want to sync contacts & calendars to just unselect content like music, photos, apps, etc.
You can only sync content like music with one computer at a time, content like contacts with as many as you like.
Before you sync your contacts & calendar with the laptop, make sure you have one entry in address book & ical, select merge at the prompt, do not select replace.
Make sure you disable auto sync when a ipod/iphone is connected under preferences in itunes.

  • My ipod classic is stuck on 'this game cannot be launched' ....as a result of a full ipod. the ipod is not full and i cannot do anythink with it.please help. thanks ceetee45.

my ipod classic is stuck in the 'this game cannot be launched'mode.as a result i cannot use it for any think.it is not full.
    thanks for your help.

Try resetting the device. The hard drive may not be full, but the device RAM might be. If resetting doesn't work then perhaps you have many large playlists and these are reducing the amount of free RAM for games.

  • Almost full ipod see empty

i can't dowload my photos on my laptop or any computer because say is empty but is almost full! and i can passe anything to have more space

Are the photos in your iPod's camera roll album? Those are the only ones that can be imported by:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
If they were synced to the iPod you have to unsync them
    Also
Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
    Come back with the results.

  • Using playlists to deal with full iPod

Many apologies if this is a stupid question, but i have searched this forum and the iPod one and not found an answer.
My 40GB is full, and I'm looking for a way of doing pretty much what the shuffle does, i.e. autofill so that each time i dock it I'll get a different 40GB selection from the library. I also want all my playlists available, but not necessarily in complete form, although it would be good if my 'random' 40GB selection always included stuff added in the last month. Basically I want a random selection of my lower rated songs, equivalent to whatever amount my library is over 40GB, to drop off each time I connect.
Believe me, I wanted to use this and the fading battery as an excuse to get a new 60GB, but i'm going for the replacement battery and playlist option instead...much less fun, but cheaper!
    Cheers

    Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
    Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
    Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
    "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023"
These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while accessing iTunes Store:
See iTunes 9: "One Moment Please" or "Error (-50)" message when accessing iTunes Store
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
    Mac OS X:
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads   Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.

  • Full ipod mini... how do i make it so I can still have all my songs on ...

how do i make it so that I can have all my songs on itunes, but only have some of them on my ipod?
there are those blue boxes with ticks in them, do they have anything to do with it?
    thanks
    xx

I the blue box is uncehcked and you open iTunes prefs -> iPod and select Update only checked songs, only songs with a check in front will get updated onto the iPod.
I only use the checkmarks for stuff like Christmas songs and such I only want rarely on the iPod.
If your library is too large to fit on the iPod, iTunes will create a playlist for you.
Here's how I do it instead.
    Create a Smart Playlist.
    Make it Match Rules;
My rating is not one star.
Not heard in last 3 days.
Limit it to 3700 MB (for a 4 GB mini).
Open iTunes prefs -> iPod and select Auto update only this playlist.
    Also, deselect Enable disk use.
When you want to change the music on the iPod, simply open the Smart playlist, select all the songs on it (ctrl A) and press delete.
They will all go away and it will fill up again. (It's a Smart Playlist)
Then connect the iPod to update it.
When listening, if there are songs you do not like, rate them one star and they will not get put back onto the iPod.

  • TS1410 Error message: This game cannot be launched.  This may be the result of a full iPod.

My iPod suddenly gave me the above error message even though it is an 80GB system and I have used only 20GB of space at the most.  Now, my iPod is not being recogonized on my computer nor iTunes.  In addition, I can't get this error message to clear off and my music will not play.  Any suggestions on how to correct this issue?

  • Please help me. i have a blank itunes but a full ipod.

how do i get the music from an ipod that has all the songs you want, to an itunes thats playlist is blank (i have two computers)
everytime i hit update, the ipods playlists go blank then.
    please help.
if i'm not clear enough please message and i'll explain better.
    pleeeease

There are two things you can do. If you can still see your ipod from itunes then highlight it under devices. The file menu then should show an option to transfer your purchases from the ipod back to itunes. This is true at least in itunes 7.1.1.5 so upgrade if you haven't already. This at least gets all your purchased stuff back to the computer I believe. If you have other content you want to get back to the computer and your ipod is setup as a disk drive you can copy all of the files from the ipod to a directory on the computer and the drop them into itunes to reimport them into the database structure. The content on the ipod is stored in iPod_Control/Music . A directory that you find under the ipod disk icon in an explorer window.
Good luck. Just be careful and you should be able to get it all back into your itunes database.

  • "This game cannot be launched.  This may be the result of a full iPod."

This is what it said when I tried playing "iQuiz". I have an 80 gb (I couldn't tell you what generation it is), but I'm only using 12.78 gb's of space. When I hooked it up to the USB in the computer it doesn't sync anything. If anyone has any idea of what to do please help. Thanks in advance,

  • Connecting full iPod to new Itunes

I have an iPod video that I just filled with all the media on my pc, but due to a hard drive problem, I have to wipe the drive. If I wipe my drive and reinstall itunes on this computer, when I plug in my iPod, will it erase all of the media I have on it? or can i safely keep the media on the iPod and use iTunes to add more new media on?

If your iPod is set to manually update then yes, connecting it to an empty iTunes will wipe it. You can set it to manual before you wipe your HD and that will conserve what is on it, see this tutorial: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tutorial/ipgettingstartedt3.html
Alternatively before wiping your hard drive, you could use your iPod to save your iTunes and move the files to your fresh installation: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300173-en

  • Empty iTunes, full iPod

Can anyone help!? Having messed around trying to clear up some hard disk space on my laptop I have opened iTunes to find it empty of all songs! My iPod still has them on it (and isn't set to automatic update) but I can't figure out how to get the songs back onto iTunes - is this possible and how? Thanks!

In case your tracks are really gone from your laptop use an application like yamipod, ipod copy or similar to retrieve you tunes from your iPod.

  • Any full iPod protectors compatible with the iHome H6 dock?

Just bought a 30 gig video iPod as well as an iHome H6 alarm clock/stereo thing. I've been using a evo 3 skin for the iPod, which I love, but there's no way whatsoever that it'll fit in the iHome dock with it on. So either I remove the skin every night and pull it back on every morning, which is getting old fast and will probably eventually damage the iPod, or I find a skin that offers good protection (no sticky screen/wheel film, I hate that stuff) that'll fit in a standard dock. Maybe something where the bottom third peels back easily or something.
Alternatively, and this seems much easier but I've had no luck finding one, is there such a thing as an extension cord for the iPod? Something where one end fits into the iHome dock and the other connects to the iPod? It seems like an obvious item to make, but I can't find anything even close to that anywhere.
Any help or information would be appreciated.
    Windows PC   Windows XP Pro

I have a similar problem. I use the Sonic Infusion speaker system and my ipods will not fit on it with a case. I at first did not use a case only a screen protector, then got tired ot that and found a shield that works and is scratch proof. If I am traveling I will put it in a rubber case just incase of bangs or drops, but I love the skin. I got it from shieldzone.com it is the invisibleshield. It works great. I do not use the click wheel part of the skin kit. I prefer the feel of the wheel without a skin on it. The wheel does not get very scratched anyway. I just use the front and back skin and really love it. Hope this helps.
