Fusion App Provisioning Wizard - DB Config - Service Name
Dear all,
I'm trying to create new Provisioning Plan for Fusion Apps 11.1.1.5.0, Linux. The Wizzard doesn't allow me to proceed with the Database Configuration (step 8 of 19):
Our company domain contains character "-" in it's name, therefore Global Name of the database is in format "dbname.company-domain.com"
Such Service Name is not allowed by the Provisioning Wizard.
What can I do in such case?
I'm surprised by such constraint... this kind of domain name is nothing unusuall, und other Oracle installers don't have any problem with such Service Name...
Thanks for support
Daniel
I have just got to know, that DB_DOMAIN may be different from the network domain. I have changed the DB_DOMAIN to name without hyphen.

Value set table name in fusion app
Hi Team,
Can any one please tell me the table name which is used in fusion app to store the value set name which we create.
Thanks,AjaySorry for the confusion, the FND tables are indeed in the OER and the FND_VS_VALUE_SETS can be found there. There is a data issue where content (prior of R8) was in correctly categorized such that its not available under "technology" product family and my query failed since used combination of both criteria. In any case just use "All versions" for the version criteria and the data will be returned. They are internally working to fix the product family for previous releases..

Error running SOA 11g Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard
Hi,
I'm running Oracle Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard ./config.sh after a new&fresh installation of SOA 11.1.1.3.0 on standalone laptop with linux CentOS in order to create a soa_domain on WLS. All steps & tests_connections to the database rcu/soa schemas are OK, but conf wizard freezes (java 99% CPU) at the end of the procedure, when saving the domain.
Any hint is welcomed.

thx,
MihaiI understood that 11.1.1.3 installs over 11.1.1.2. I download 11.1.1.3, runInstaller of 11.1.1.3 on the same SOA_HOME as 11.1.1.2 and installer finished without errors. I'am not aware if other "things" should be installed/configured. It seems that WizzardController didn't change the version of what it writes in its logs.
(that pb with the config.sh - create domain - was present also in my 11.1.1.2 installation; that is the reason I installed the upgrade to 11.1.1.3 - just to try to resolve somehow this issue).
thanks,

Hello Guru,
I am trying to call a supplier service from SOA/OSB.
But while calling the service it is failing with the below error message
access denied (oracle.wsm.security.WSFunctionPermission http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/prc/poz/suppliers/supplierService/SupplierService#getSupplierVO invoke)
As per OER cookbook i have attached the "oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy" to the Fusion apps web service.
I am trying to pass security credentials to the service by using all the methods... through composite ..through bpel through wsse header but in all cases i am getting similar error.
Please let me know if some one has called the fusion apps web service to create a supplier of solution to my problem as mentioned above.Hi Sai,
Thanks for the quick and correct response. Yes, after doing the research, I'm also came to same conclusion. But what stops me here is that where exactly I need to check for this permission.
I mean the theory what I built on this Authorization/Permission is that:
For the resource - WebService (SupplierService), there is an assigned application role for which the Entitlement/Permission is provided.
Pls. help me in the below items:
a. What is the application role(in role hierarchy) assigned to this resource(Webservice). Which page I need to check(navigation) this and the required credentials..
b. What is the Entitlement provided for this application role for this operation (getSupplierVO) invoke.. Which page I need to check(navigation) this and the required credentials..
Thanks in Advance.
Thanks & Regards

TNS Service Name selector for ODBC config on W2k shows trash w/ IC 10g
Hello!
I'm having some problems with the Instant Client 10g on a Windows 2000 Server SP4 machine. On this machine, I'm trying to setup a ODBC connection and fail, as the "TNS Service Name" list only contains "junk". Please see the screenshot at
http://server3.pictiger.com/img/613385/computer-games-and-screenshots/w2k-oracle-odbc-tns-service-name-trash.php
To get so far, I downloaded and unzipped the following files to C:\Oracle\instantclient_10_2:
* instantclient-basic-win32-10.2.0.2-20060508.zip
* instantclient-odbc-win32-10.2.0.2-20060508.zip
* instantclient-sqlplus-win32-10.2.0.2-20060508.zip
Next, I added some System environment variables:
* ORACLE_HOME=C:\Oracle\instantclient_10_2
* TNS_ADMIN=C:\Oracle\instantclient_10_2\network\admin\tnsnames.ora
To PATH, I added (at the end): C:\Oracle\instantclient_10_2. After having done so, I created the file C:\Oracle\instantclient_10_2\network\admin\tnsnames.ora, which contains exactly this (see http://vz6tml.pastebin.ca/211376):
ORABDE.EUROPE.DELPHIAUTO.NET =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 10.233.30.8)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = orabde.delphi)
)That's the only file with "tnsname" in its name on the local harddrives of this server.
After having done all of this, I ran odbc_install and had the server rebooted later in the night.
This morning, ie. after reboot, I logged on to the system and started the "Data Sources (ODBC)" configuration of Windows 2000. I clicked on "Add" and selected "Oracle in instantclient10-2". Then I expanded the list of the available TNS Service Name entries and see only junk. On a different W2k server, I am able to setup a ODBC connection using the Oracle Instant Client 10g.
What am I doing wrong, and how do I do it correctly?
Thanks a lot,
AlexanderHi!
I found the error:
TNS_ADMIN=C:\Oracle\instantclient_10_2\network\admin\tnsnames.oraThat's wrong. The environment variable TNS_ADMIN has to point to the directory containing the tnsnames.ora file; it must not contain the complete path to the tnsnames.ora file.
After changing TNS_ADMIN to C:\Oracle\instantclient_10_2\network\admin, all is fine.
Thanks,
Alexander -
Integration with Oracle Fusion Apps SaaS
Hi,
I have the following integration requirement in my on-premise SOA/ADF application
1) Get Service Contract details from Oracle Fusion apps cloud instance ( Enterprise Contracts) given a contract number. The details include i) Name ii) Owner iii)Type iv) Business Unit v) Start Date vi) End Date viii) Party details etc..
2) Create/Get Invoice in Fusion apps cloud instance ( Oracle Financials Cloud ?) from my application.
3) Create an Order into the the Oracle Fusion apps Order management cloud from my application.
For the same, I started looking into the OER (https://fusionappsoer.oracle.com/) provided by oracle to find Assets/Services that help us integrate with the SaaS.
However, I could not find a right service for my above requirements. Here are my findings ( right or wrong) :
=======================================
a) For Order Creation ( requirement (2) above):
-> For Creating an Order, I see a service called Sales Order Service (oracle.apps.crmCommon.orders.salesOrdersService.SalesOrderService) but this service only CRUD's Sales Order Header where as I am looking for a service that needs.
-> I found another service ( Composite service) ,Get Orchestration Order Service (11.1.7.0.0), Operation: GetOrderDetails , that may get me order details but doesnt give me a way to create an order as I didn't find any operation for Create/Generate.
-> Another Asset =>File Based Data Import: Purchase Orders Import (11.1.9.0.0) that Imports purchase orders from external systems into Oracle Fusion Purchasing.
But not sure how to use it. The documentation is duanting here.
b) For Getting contract details
-> While looking for a service that would would cater my "get contract details" need, I could find only Contract Type , Contract Business unit services but no service ( ADF or composite) that would give me all the contract details.
c) For Invoice creation / get - I found these but not sure which one to pick.
-> Request Invoice Orchestration Task for Fusion Systems Service (11.1.8.0.0) Description:Provides the ability to communicate with the Oracle Fusion Invoicing application to perform create operations.Type: Composite Service. Process Provides the ability for Oracle Fusion Receivables to perform create operations.
-> Product Family: Financials
ADF Service: Receivables Invoice Service (11.1.9.0.0)
Operations: createSimpleInvoice, invoiceHeaderInformation,createInterfaceLine,processInterfaceLine
Service Path: https://<fin_server:PortNumber>/finArTrxnsInvoices/InvoiceService?WSDL
Abstract WSDL URL: rep://R9_FUSIONAPPS_HOSTEDREP/oracle/apps/financials/receivables/transactions/invoices/invoiceService/InvoiceService.wsdl
-> ADF Service: Receivables Invoice (11.1.9.0.0) Service Path: http://<fin_server:PortNumber>/finArTrxnsAutoInvoices/AutoInvoicesBCService?WSDL
Abstract WSDL URL: rep://R9_FUSIONAPPS_HOSTEDREP/oracle/apps/financials/receivables/transactions/autoInvoices/autoInvoicesService/v1/AutoInvoicesBCService.wsdl
======================================
Can someone help me here in helping me find a right service / way to fullfill my above requirements?
Thanks,
Sridhar.Hey Reo,
We need to do few configuration steps to integrate both products
you can refer to the metalink2 doc id : 552735.1
https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:3427836754632619337::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,552735.1,1,1,1,helvetica
Remember, if u integrate EBS & OBIEE, you cannot directly login to BI. Instead, you always need to navigate from EBS only..

Fusion Middleware Provisioning Deployment Procedure - Failing
Hi,
I have been trying to run the Fusion Middleware Provisioning (version 4.1) deployment procedure by choosing the existing installation as Fusion Middleware Home.
Going through the logs, the perl script (applyclone.pl) is unable to create the destination directory. However, I am unable to find the cause for it. Also, the directive "Create FMW Clone Archive" generates the following log - with error "Oracle home is not cloneable".
Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
Below are details :

Webservices remove service name and port from the URL
Hi community,
so I have a server PC called "superlab"(*) and I also have a webservice called "superlab"(*). Now the users need to enter superlab:8001/superlab to the browser to access the service. I'd like them simply enter superlab.
So my questions:
1. how can I remove the service name from the URL
2. how can I remove the port number from the URL
3. (not related but I have difficulty to understand what it the point in "publishing" a webservice while simply starting it does the job as well)
thanks!
*Not the real nameLuis,
Then, as inolau's notice, create logon screen (or use the default one) and force the users to logon at runtime. Do not pass username/password as parameters.
inolau,
True that if the connection is specified in the config it will be the same for everyone. However, every case is different. For example one of our apps gets S3 credentials (from non-Oracle S3) as session parameters. It uses this common db connection to validate some stuff with the database, read security definitions and then it re-connects the forms using the credentials. -
Hi,
9iR2/AIX
As you can see resolving the service name is an issue:
SQL> conn system/sysadmin;
Connected.
SQL> conn system/sysadmin@uatdb;
ERROR:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name
Warning: You are no longer connected to ORACLE.
SQL> conn system/[email protected]

Would it be possible to get rid of the connect error?
Where is the config error?
Any ideas are highly appreciated!
Thx,
DobbyExecute the sqlplus executable with absolute path. Also verify if you have declared the TNS_ADMIN environment variable. It should not be set, it defaults to your ORACLE_HOME/network/admin path. You could also fix it to explicitly point to the path where your tnsnames.ora file resides.

How to edit BI Publisher Report Data Model in Fusion Apps?
Hello All,
I am experiencing issues while modifying the BI Publisher data model in Fusion Apps. Here is the summary of issue, Please assist me.
Issue: I have modified the SQL query of Data Set in Data Model, while saving it is prompting for Flex Filed, Parameter Values. I could find the parameter values from default package , but i dont see the Flex Fields values in package. Can you please assist me where can be these Flex Fields are defined in Fusion Apps.When you go into the Edit Dashboards page, do you see a BI Publisher icon to your left? just drag and drop that into your page and then click on properties to include your BI Publisher report. If you get an error then check(only after doing the above) whether you have these entries in your InstanceConfig.xml

Issue while creating connection pool in weblogic using SERVICE NAME
Found two issues while creating connection pool in weblogic using SERVICE NAME
1. While running apps from jdeveloper using xxx-jdbc.xml
weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection

at weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.ConnectionPool.doStart(ConnectionPool.java:1051)
2. Configuriing the jndi in Weblogic server
weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
The Connection descriptor used by the client was:

at weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourcePoolImpl.makeResources(ResourcePoolImpl.java:1033)
Problem
database url is generated based on SID
eg: jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:SID
Solution
(generate seperate url for SERVICE NAME)
jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521/SERVICENAME
------------------------It is so clear: host not found error for network connection and the other SID servcie name not found means your oracle instance name is not up. check with srvctl status for given servcie name or node, else check CRS_Stat -t if you are using RAC.

Srvctl config service should be updated using srvctl modify command
Hai all,
I have created a service recently on oracle RAC
srvctl config service -d dbname -s servicename
Disconnect: false
Service role: PRIMARY
Management policy: AUTOMATIC
DTP transaction: false
AQ HA notifications: false
Failover type: NONE
Failover method: NONE
TAF failover retries: 0
TAF failover delay: 0
Connection Load Balancing Goal: LONG
Runtime Load Balancing Goal: NONE
TAF policy specification: NONE
Edition:
What is Management policy? does AQ HA notifications should be true? Do i need to update the info in srvctl command, i have already entered in tnsnames.ora
(DESCRIPTION =
(LOAD_BALANCE = ON)
(FAILOVER = ON)
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST =scan name)(PORT = 1527))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME =servicename)
(FAILOVER_MODE =
(TYPE = SELECT)
(METHOD = BASIC)
(RETRIES = 0)
(DELAY = 0)
i have already have the basic, select for TAF in tnsnames.ora?But when i enter srvctl config command i don't see the config details,Do i need to modify using srvctl modify service command?
can anyone provide me a good document on services and explaining run time load balancing goal,Management policy,TAF ??refer: -

Managing Net Service Names in Oracle Internet Directory
Hello,
I would like to manage all my company's network Service Names using OID included in Oracle Fusion 11g.
Looking for a documentation I've found only an Oracle document related to OID 10.1.4.0.1
http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/chan-oid.html
Where is possible to find similar documentation related to OID in 11g release?
With Best RegardsSuggestion: realize that 11gR2 doesn't exist yet.

Unable to find a WSDL that has a definition for service name
Hello,
I have a wsdl shared in mds and a composite with a bpel process that consumes that wsdl, but when that happens I get the following error:
oracle.fabric.common.FabricInvocationException: Unable to find the WSDL service defined for service name {http://directvla.com/schema/businessdomain/ServiceConfigurationRules/v1-0}ServiceConfigurationRules_pt. Please make sure that the port attribute for the binding defined in the composite file is correct by checking the namespace and service name in the #wsdl.endpoint element. In addition, check that the WSDL associated with the binding namespace is imported and currently reachable (check the import nodes at the top of the composite file). Finally, validate any HTTP proxy settings for the server.
I checked the composite, the wsdl and the endpoint and everything is ok. At the momment to avoid the error, the wsdl is local, but this is not a real solution, what I really need is to make it work with the mds.
Can somebody help me?
Thank for advance.Hi,
