FYI Notification after final approval using AME

Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to send a FYI notification to a group of people after final approval. Could you please guide if it can be done with the help of AME or not.
If yes can you please tell me the detail steps.

Hi Rakesh,
- you can create another rule in AME with the same conditions as your main rule.
- Make sure the rule type is For Your Information.
- Create approval groups for the people you want to send the FYI notification to and add these approval groups to the rule (using Post Approval as action type)
- Make sure the order number of your new approval group is higher than the order number of the approval groups in your main rule. This will ensure that the FYI notification goes in the end and not somewhere in the middle.

I need to configure the system to trigger an FYI notification after a termination workflow has been approved by all approvers. This notification is based on checking the terminated employee's record for a credit card indicator. The recipient of the email would be the appropriate ER person. The tricky part is that the ER person may have already been involved in the approving of the termination based on the type. Is this even possible through AME? Is this something that needs to be done by a business event? This is in 12.1.3.

How to add (FYI Notification) After the last approver?

I want to add FYI notification after the last approver action, for example after the absence leave confirmation I need the supervisor to be notified that his employee has an approved vacation with the details.....

Hi Ayaz,
The Allow FYI Notification is a parameter provided by Oracle. Also we have standard Transaction Types defined by Oracle.
By default the Allow FYI Notification is set to No at all levels. To enable the FYI Notification for a particular transaction type (say Self Service) , we need to enable this at the transaction type level.
Once you set the value for Allow FYI Notification 'Yes' at transaction type level; when you would create a rule, you will get a option to select 'FYI Notification' or 'Approver' at Rule level.
Note: The FYI notification will not display the entire contents of the Transaction. It will just display the subject line.

Self Service request is going to error after final Approver.

Hi,
Here we configured leave system through EIT and we are using self service (EIT) to make leave request. We have 3 level of approver for Annual Leave. Problem here is after final approver (3rd approver) approves the leave then request is going in to error. I traced the item key through Workflow Administrator > Status Monitor.
The error is Details are given below (Status Monitor)

Okay, if the $PROFILES$ reference has been working for a long time that doesn't sound like a problem. I would then suggest this is an unusual data scenario where the value the user selected was temporarily available. Don't ask me how - it's your data! The user that submitted it might be able to shed some light. For example, this kind of thing might do it:
1) Manager logs on to ESS, starts an SIT transaction (the one in question) and Saves for Later. This sets $PROFILES$.PER_PERSON_ID to themself.
2) Manager then switches to MSS and views one of their employees - this sets $PROFILES$.PER_PERSON_ID to their employee, not themselves.
3) Manager then navigates to Homepage and continues the Saved for Later transaction from the Worklist (ie, without clicking on the ESS responsibility). Perhaps $PROFILES$.PER_PERSON_ID is still set to their direct report rather than themselves?
4) Manager then selects one of their employees contracts rather than their own (because of $PROFILES$.PER_PERSON_ID being wrong).
5) Manager submits the transaction.
I don't know if that's possible or even if that's how it behaves. But it sounds plausible and is an example of perhaps the weird set of circumstances that might have happened here. Regardless, I'd still maintain that this value was available to the user in the Value Set at the time they submitted it.
If it's just a one-off data problem and this has been working fine for a while I wouldn't worry about it. Bin the workflow, get the employee to re-submit. Job done.

How to bypass approval using AME

Hi,
Currently, we are using AME to set the approval routing for Self Service Personal Information.
When update Contact information, there is no approval required.
Thus, can we bybass this via AME?

Set the documents to Auto-Approve.
Purchasing SuperUser --> Setup --> Purchasing --> Document Types --> Purchase Order (do same for Requisition) --> Check Owner can Approve.

Hi,
You could have searched in SDN for query sending PO by e-mail to vendor. There are a lot answers. OK.
As required by you purchase order automatically will send to vendor via e-mail after final release, then set Dispatch time as 4 {Send immediately (when saving the application)} in NACE t.code in application EF for your PO output type and save. Also maintain condition record for PO output type in t.code: MN04 and keep Dispatch time as 4 {Send immediately (when saving the application)} with other parameters (document type, purchase organization etcu2026.)

Change First Approver in Requisition Approval using AME

Hi ,
I have defined rules in AME for Purchase requisition which builds Approval hierarchy based on business rules.
Every thing works as expected but when there is an Approver1 added to the Approval list and when we want to change the first Approver
there is a button on the approval list screen to do so ...when I click on it and try to put a different user to be replacing Approver1 ..it does not happen .
Could some one please tell if it works and if so how to get Change First Approver functionality working on Purchase req --AME.

Hi,
In SSHR chnages made to personal details should be approved by immediate supervisor. I was able to do this, but what I require is soon after supervisor approval, as the databse is commiteed, the HR needs a notification on the changes made.

I Had a similar problem when I set it up and it sorted itself out after I had restarted all the devices. Also I think I logged out of iCloud and back in on all devices too.

Adding FYI notification to Irecruitment workflow

Dear Friends,
I'm new to Workflow.please guide me to add a FYI notification after the final approval in the Irecrutiment Workflow.
For Irecruitment Approval Process I need to FYI to two persons after the final approval.
For this,I'm customizing the Irecruitment Workflow's Process: iRecruitment New Vacancy.
I have created one Message named 'XXX FYI MSG'
Created a new Notification named 'XXX FYI Notifiaction'.
Selected 'approval' as Result Type field.
Selected 'XXX FYI MSG' in the Message Field.
Have selected EXPAND ROLES chk box.
In the ROLES tab,
I have attached the person's name for READ field who is going to view only.
in the Write and Execute field I have added the name of another person who is going to further update/execute if so.
Also I have added 'Approved Flag' attribute to 'XXX FYI Notification'.
I have attached this notification at "access level =20" between SEND APPROVED NOTIFICATION and END in the process diagram.
but while saving to Database I get errors as

Instead of attaching the the XXX FYI NOTIFICATION between SEND APPROVED NOTIFICATION and END link, Can I create a new link from SEND APPROVED NOTIFICATION to XXX FYI NOTIFICATION and from XXX FYI NOTIFICATION to END making the SEND APPROVED NOTIFICATION and END link intact.

When the PR released (after final approval), the person who should create PO should receive notification to start with PO creation process, currently PO creator doesn't receive any notification. Please let me know how we could configure this in the system?

Cancel FYI notification

Hi Consultants.
Does anyone know how to stop the canceling the FYI notification after a atual notification had timed out?
We have reuirement to send FYI notification after timeout the remider approval notification.
i addeed FYI notification but when i tested the Workflow FYI notification is sending and it is autoclosed after reminder notification got timeout.

Dear All,
1. Create an absence request using self servcie and submit for approval, absence duration calculated is X
2. change the BG_ABSENCE_DURATION fast formula, in such a way that the duration of the leave created in step 1 changes to Y
3. approve the absence created in step 1
4. the absence is committed to database but note that the absence duration is not as per the change in the BG_ABSENCE_DURATION fast formula, the absence committed shows absence_days as X and not the actual Y
Is the duration not being calculated again before the absence is committed after final approval?

I finally got the call that my phone has arrived at the centre on Friday and is ready to be collected.
I'll finally get my phone back on Monday, 4 December i.e. after 4 and half months ! And it cost me Rs. 2500 (Around $50).
So now I ask is it worth waiting for 5 months for a phone repair which will cost you 50 dollars?
I love Sony Ericsson phones and that is the only reason I'm going to stick up for them. But there's no way I'm giving the phone to any Sony Ericsson outlet in future for repairs and nor am I encouraging any of my friends and aquaintaces do the same !
