G50-80 AMD R5-M330 driver not function

Guys,
   I has G50-80 I5 5200U with AMD R5-M330 running Win 7Pro 64Bit
Driver installation done with no issue at Windows device manager however when I using Passmark Perfomance test 8.0 I can only select intel graphic card for 3D benchmark. I am using driver from Lenovo website. Please advise.

Dear newbiz
Welcome in Lenovo community
As long the graphic card is installed properly in device manager so the card is automatically detected, but first make sure that the Graphic mode in BIOS is in discreet mode . then check the application knowing that we dont take the gurranty on such application
Thanks

  • G4-1117DX CD/DVD drive not functioning

So I should say that this CD drive has never really worked all that great from the get go.  I never really bothered to try to fix it till now (Two years later). So I am having trouble with the CD drive not reading any CD. Device Manager says that it is functioning and I have uninstalled it and installed it again. I have checked drivers for Highend Filters and Lowend Filters. I have replaced the CD drive with a new one, same model. I have searched high and low for an possible answer and I have found nothing. So this is my last hope.
One thing that I have tried to test is going into Command and typing:diskpart. The screen moves on to say
    Microsoft DiskPart version 6.1.7601
    Copyright (C) 1999-2008 Microsoft Corporation
On computer : xxxxxxxxxx(my name of the laptop)
Then nothing else, and it just sits here. I don't really hear the CD driving spinning up and when I do try to load a CD into the computer and open it. It loads very slowly all the way to the end then it just sits at the last 2% and then freezes.
I am trying to turn this P.O.S. laptop into a work laptop. I am almost at the point where I am going to go get a USB CD drive and try to see if I can make it work. I'm trying to also install a brand new hard drive and that is really what is the big hang up.
Update: I finally got the command to let me enter
DISKPART> (I typed in) List Volume
Now it is trying to load the information. I would have to say it has been about 45 minutes before I got the command prompt to get this far. I am sure this is not normal. Again, the plea is the same.  HELP! Thanks

    Hi
    Thats very strange.
For me your description sounds like hardware malfunction but I cannot believe that this could happen after using the drive only two times.
You said you have tried using the Knoppix CD. How about Toshiba recovery CD?
Is it possible to read this CD?
In my operational experience not all medium are compatible! Its possible that the drive could not read or write some not supported CDs or DVDs.
So what to say in the user manual you should find a index with compatible and supported CD/DVD.
This CDs and DVDs should run for sure.
The mentioned CD/DVD manufacturers are unknown to most peoples but these are ONLY manufacturers and not vendors like i.e TDK.
Mostly one CD/DVD manufacturer provides the medium for several vendors!
So finally I would recommend checking the supported CD and if it will not run contact the ASP for a help. Maybe the drive must be replaced.
    Good luck

  • ATA drives not functioning properly

Hi. I have three hard drives in my G3 -- well, two now. I'll get to that. I've been trying to get them all set up to function properly together. The jumper settings are correct. I even tried swapping positions, thinking they might have some compatibility issues. The drives cause the computer to lock up sometimes, and when I try to install something from the DVD drive, it tells me there's not enough space on the destination disque. This is clearly not true, because I have about 60 GB available! I've tried so many configurations, switching master and slave settings etc, and I keep getting the same results.
Strangely enough, this doesn't SEEM to be a problem in OS X. I wish I could use X exclusively, but that is not the case.

OK. If you DO have the three-drive shelf, not individual sleds, you May have the Rev 1 Blue & White G3. The rev 1 has a flaky IDE Controller on board. If you install a drive faster than the original 4, 6, or 8 GB drive, it starts getting flaky. Never repeatable. Sometimes crashes. Sometimes freezes. Sometimes corrupts your data. Not a lot. Not every day. Never repeatable. One user called it the "Heartbreaker G3".
The litmus test for whether you have the "Heartbreaker" is in this article, under section 3. There is a photo showing the location of the IDE chip. You read the numbers on the top of the chip and that tells which Rev you have:
    http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/G3-ZONE/yosemite/newfeatures.html
The other problem is the length of your cable. The spec is 18 inches at the absolute maximum, and shorter is much, much better. And the 80 wires on 40-pin headers is required at those speeds.
The solution many users have opted for is to add a PCI slot card (which usually comes with the first 40/80 cable).

  • Dc/dvd drive not functioning and not recognized in device manager after installing Windows 7 OS

I have an HP Pavilion laptop, model # dv9617nr, which was originally loaded (from the factory) with Windows Vista.  I upgraded the OS to Windows 7 a few months ago, and initially, everything worked fine.  Within the last month, however, my DVD/CD ROM optical drive stopped working and is not recognized in Explorer, and does not show up in Device Manager.  I have tried a number of fixes from this forum and the Microsoft Windows 7 forums, with no positive effect.  I should note that upon inserting a disc in the drive, everything sounds normal (device spins and the external LED lights up) but nothing happens and the unit shuts down.
I have no idea if this is a software or a hardware issue.  I did check the HP website for software and driver updates for my model and the Windows7 OS, but HP has no update for this PC running this OS.  ANY help is greatly appreciated.

  • External Hard Drive Not Functioning

I'm not sure if this is the right community for this problem, but my external, back-up hard drive (WD My Book), on which I use Time Machine, is not working. I didn't realize it was working for about a week (I still don't know why it's not working), and when I went to go investigate the problem my computer told me that I did not have permission to write in the drive, only read. I tried to change the permissions, but they were all greyed out, stopping me from changing them (I am the sole account on this computer).
I used Disk Utility to see if it could repair the disk, but it came back with the message, "You can still open or copy files on the disk, but you can't save changes to files on the disk. Back up the disk and reformat it as soon as you can". I have now commandeered my father's external hard drive, which has more than enough space for my needs, but no matter what I do I cannot find a way to back up the files from the defunct drive onto the new one.
Any suggestions on how to back up the old drive? Otherwise I'm just going to have to reformat the drive and lose everything.

Several things first if you are really running Leopard 10.5.1 then run Software Update and update to 10.5.8 the most current build of Leopard. If that isn't the case then please update your profile.
As for your EHD a couple of suggestions, I'd try doing a SMC Reset first, if it doesn't work the first time try 2-3x. If that doesn't do it then restart in Safe Mode. If neither the SMC Reset or Safe Mode restart don't work you may need to replace the EHD. Unfortunately WD EHD's have a bad history on this forum. If you are forced to replace it I'd recommend almost any other manufacturer. There are 3 I like a lot, more money than WD but what price do you put on your backup?

  • Firewire drive not functioning properly (goofy icon)

It's been appearing as that off and on since I updated to 10.4.9 (Had been working fine before). Typically I can dismount it, repair permissions and reboot. When I log back in and turn the drive on, it used to show up normal. Now though that doesn't even appear to work.
Normally I wouldn't mind the goofy icon, but the thing of it is is that osx apparently doesn't recognize it as a removable drive. It does not shut the drive down after 30 minutes of being idle nor when I dismount it. The drive just keeps spinning. I'm not worried about the icon, but I am worried about the drive spinning more than it needs to. The other 3 drives there work fine and spin down when idle as normal.
When I was able to repair the permissions and get the drive to appear normally, it also spun down and dismounted properly too.
It is a firewire drive the chain goes mac > incoming > backup > tv. I tried swapping the cable, position on the chain and port on the drive, none of which work.
Any ideas? (I haven't tried formatting it... obviously trying to avoid that)
    24" 2.33ghz Intel iMac Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Good thinking! Unfortunately, it didn't fix the problem
I wonder though, is it safe for me to roll back to 10.4.8 and see what I get? Can I just install the 10.4.8 combo update and then the 10.4.9 if it turns out to be the same?
I'm a recent mac switcher (well, switched in 2003. Just never had a tough problem like this) and in windows rolling back the os is typically a mess :P

  • Super Drive Not Functioning. Hardware? Software?

CDs will not open. When I try a DVD I get a message that says: Supported Disc Not Available. I first noticed a problem when my DiskWarrior startup disc would not open for a rebuild. I tried the Tiger Install DVD to access the disk utility but nothing happened there either. Nothing mounts. This is distressing since the nearest Apple Store is about 50 miles away. Any ideas anybody? Any other information that might be required to hopefully clear this up I will gladly furnish. Thanks. Jack

I have been having an intermittent problem with my super drive on an iMac G4 (1 GHz, 10.5.8, Pioneer DVR 105). Several months ago, it would not recognize a music CD (Next to Normal). I thought it was a problem with the disk, but I had the same difficulty with a replacement. Those disks worked in two other Macs in the house as well as regular CD and DVD players. Now, it won't read my new copy of Turbo Tax 2009. The drive just whirrs and chugs for 30-45 seconds then ejects the disk. Everything else plays fine (especially DVDs). What's really strange is that I went back to my TurboTax disk from last year (which installed fine then), and it wouldn't read that either. I have repaired permissions, zapped the PRAM (but not reset the PMU), and had the computer shut down dozens of times between tries. It seems something is causing just these disks not to be read correctly. I haven't tried a cleaner, but it seems like this is solely a problem in the drive itself. Any other suggestions?

  • DVD Drive Not Functioning Properly

    Hello,
Earlier tonight i created a Burn Folder for some music, and it was set up to burned onto a Data DVD. I inserted the disc, and OSX acknowledged it, and asked what i wanted to do with the disc. When i selected "Open Finder" i get a pop-up box stating:
"The Disc Cannot Be Used Because It Is Not Recognized"
I've checked multiple times, and used multiple times, all the discs i've tried are brand new, and these DVDs have worked for me in the past.
If anyone can shed some light on this situation it would be very helpful.
    Thanks for reading.

  • Is it possible to download Foxfire onto a flash drive - then plug in the flash drive on a computer whose browser does not function ?

The computer I wish to use Foxfire on has no internet access as the browser is not functioning. I wondered if I could download Foxfire with a working computer and then plug the flash drive into the computer that is not functioning ?

You can download the ''full'' installer from the following page:
    https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
(Make sure the word "Stub" is not in the suggested file name, because the stub installer needs an internet connection to download additional files.)

  • I want to update my software but my disc drive is not functional, are there alternatives?

I have a Macbook Pro 5,3 that I would like to update, currently my Macbook runs on 10.5.8.
My main problem is that I can't purchase the update because my disc driver is not functional anymore(my only problem, Macbook otherwise is doing very well).
I have been to the store and they advised me to call, and now it seems like I need to pay 25,- pounds so I can get help over the phone which is a bit ridiculous to me.
Besides that, what would be the alternatives for me to install Snow Leopard and hopefully then update to the newest software for my Macbook?
    Thanks!

Snow Leopard is available from Apple for $20. Since your current optical drive isn't working, you can pick up any number of USB external DVD drives cheap. In the U.S., many are available for under $20.
Once you have those, install Snow Leopard, and then update it to 10.6.8.

  • Old iPod mini can't be recognized after formatting, and iTunes 'Apple Mobile Device Driver not found.'

My roommate gave me an old iPod Mini a few days ago. It was working fine 'til I plugged it into my computer and it asked me to format it. I did, and now it cannot be recognized by iTunes or my computer. My computer views it as a "removable disk" which cannot be accessed. In devices, it is listed as an Apple iPod though, so I'm hoping not all is lost. I have tried many quick fixes I've read on internet (including changing disk letter) but to no avail. I have reinstalled the new iTunes and now that is telling me it has not installed properly, and when I ran diagnostics, it reads that the Apple Mobile Device Driver not found. I will copy & paste all the info from the diagnostic run below, and if anybody can help me with my new (old) iPod, I'd be everly greatful!

What i knew about iPhone before buying it:
    What You Need
    To use iPhone, you need:
A new two-year wireless service plan with AT&T
A Mac or a PC with a USB 2.0 port and one of the following operating systems:
Mac OS X version10.4.10 or later
Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate edition
iTunes 7.3 or later, available at www.itunes.com
    An iTunes Store account
    An Internet connection
You must be at least 18 years old to open a new AT&T wireless account. You will need a

    Yeahyeah check all that stuff;
Oh well; just when i thought i'd finally cross over to the beautiful packaging of APPLE. I remember in design school that form follows function. Thanks.

  • CS6.0 & CS5.5 Master Collection InDesign Font Control bar & Characters Panel not Functioning

Hi, I am a college student and our college a year ago sent me CS5.5 Master Collection InDesign at that time the font control bar was not functioning correctly on my PC. Our class was about Adobe Illustrator so our instructor rather than deal with it had us just cut and paste things into MS Word.
Now a year and half later I am taking a college course in Adobe Photoshop . . CS6.0 Master Collection InDesign once again the collection is the Student and Teacher Licensing for Windows.  The same thing is happening now we are REQUIRED to this semester to create a Calendar using our own photos and create a INDESIGN layout using our photos we took for our course.  In this version of CS6.0 InDesign I figured they would of fixed it by now, but the "Control Panel is still not working, nor is the Character Panel that you pull up to the side of InDesign. I am able to use the pull down menus and do things from there, but the point of taking this course was to learn the software, how can we students use the software if it is not functioning properly.
NOTE I AM EXPERIENCEING THE SAME THING WITH ALL SIDE PANELS NOW TOO.
Oh yes it changes the font name when you use the pull down window from the top menu, but it is not allowing us to use the CONTROL BAR just under the MENU BAR, nor the side panel I pulled up and am showing there. In ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR I can use the character panel just fine, but not in InDesign.
In Illustrator when I go to launch it I get this error, I have done as it asked but it still is bring this up at launch. I can go in and use Illustrator just fine, except for this error.
Someone thought I may of installed it incorrectly, so I removed all ADOBE software from my computer ran maintenance and virus scans and reinstalled the software, a whole day wasted, but it still is doing the same thing.
    a) Thinking that this is a limitation placed on the software by Adobe because it is a Student Teacher Edition?
    b) There's a problem with having OpenType and TrueType fonts on hand?
    c) Adobe has a software problem that they have yet to resolve?
    d) There is something somewhere within the software I need to flip a switch on?
Our instructor I gather who owns his own business his works just fine on his PC, but then because it is his business software it makes me think it has to do with the Student Teacher Edition.
I have more than enough RAM and hard drive space the Processor is a AMD A8-3800 APU with Radeon(tm) HD. Graphics is 2.40 GHz. It is a 64-bit Operating System. Oh I am using a Windows OS 7.0 Professional .
This is the only piece of software that I have come accross that will not function correctly on my computer system since it's purchase Jan of 2012.

There is no difference between the commercial and educattional versions of the products other than the license terms. The software itself is the same.
Since you are on windows 7, the first question is are you using large fonts in the Windows interface? Large fonts combined with an Aero theme are deadly to ID. See InDesign tools and panels don't respond to mouse clicks (Windows 7/Vista)
If this doesn't apply, the next thing to try is replacing your preferences. See Replace Your Preferences
Do you use a font manager? If so, which one?
Does the account you are using have adminsitrator privileges? Shouldn't matter, but it would be worth trying a new account that does.
It's still possible that the installation failed in some way. That Illustrator error certainly makes it look like a strong possibility, and there may have been some left-over crud from the first failed install that was not replaced the second time. If the things above don't clear up the problems, I would suggest Deactivating the suite from an applicatin that will open, and uninstalling again, then run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) which will remove all traces of the previous installations. Reboot, then before reinstalling run MSConfig and turn off all non-essential startup programs and services, especially any virus or maware scanners, third-party firewall, instant messengers, iTunes and all browser helpers and toolbars, then close MSconfig and reboot. Log in as an Administrator (the actual Adminsitrator account would be best, but it may not be turned on). When the warning comes up about diagnostic mode continue to boot (cancel MSConfig if it opens), then run the installer again. You can now run MSconfig to restore normal startup and reboot once more.

  • Keyboard+trackpad not functioning at all on HP 2000 Notebook PC! please help!

Tonight I turned on my laptop (HP 2000 Notebook PC) to find that the Keyboard and track pad was not responding, the only thing that worked was the wireless mouse.
I can not find the product number but the name is HP 2000 Notebook PC, the operating system is Windows 8, I can't login to see if there are any error messages, the last thing I remember doing was trying to apply a new cursor image and it told me to restart and when I did I couldnt log back in or type anything at all, I could only use the mouse.
Also the things I have tried to do are: Restart Computer, Take out batter and restart. (I cant do much because I can't type in password)
All help will be greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: I logged in using the On-Screen Keyboard, it seems like a hardware malfunction and not a virus because i cant find anything in my downloaded stuff that wasnt there before. So it is just a hardware malfunction.
UPDATE #2: it says that the driver (for keyboard and touchpad) may be corrupt or missing and it says Code 39 in parenthesis.

    Hello Oceanlife,
You state that the keyboard and touchpad are not functioning, that is correct? I will try to assist you with this issue.
As of today are you still having this problem?
If you have, any more questions do not hesitate to ask. .
