Garageband is not picking sound from builtin mic (rMBP). I recorded some tracks, now it is not working. All other apps can use the mic. Monitoring is switched ON at GB, it picks sound only some other app, eg. Skype, is used to access the mic.

I recorded some tracks, now it is not working. I have checked GB Preferences, Audio/MIDI > Audio Input > Built In Microphone.
All other apps can use the mic. Dictation, Skype etc. can use the mic!

I have foud the solution - rather stupid. The system setting for audio input was at 70%, increasing it to 100% solves the problem!

It sounds like you could be having an issue with one of the microphones on your iPhone 5. Your iPhone 5 has three microphones that function together and separately, depending on what is using them.

Sammyhunter lets get you back in action! Has there been any physical/water damage to the device? Try pressing and holding the home and power button together. Once the Apple symbol appears release both buttons. Keep us posted!

I dropped my Iphone 5 which resulted in it shattering and the screen was still on but it was black with only a white line through it so I couldnt access the phone however I switched over to my Droid and now I cannot send or receive messages and I cant turn off imessage because I cant see anything on the screen. Then the bottom of the support document states that if you do not have access to the device (which unfortunately because of the screen issue you do not) to contact Apple Care. That is what you need to do.

Using a IP191 monitor, have random horizontal streaks on display - have no problem with other browsers; also no problem with FF on other family PC's.

Not receiving texts from a Galaxy 4 mini on US Cellular provider network, but I get all other texts.
I am not receiving texts from a friend who owns a Galaxy 4 mini on US Cellular provider network, but I receive all other texts from other phones and other providers. She has never owned any Apple products, including an Apple iPhone. Other people she texts with receive her texts fine.

That is definitely an unusual situation. I'm sure it's frustrating that it isn't working when you need it. Do either of you have trouble with texting anyone else? I have done all checks, rebooted my phone but I hVe lost all sound from it. When i play videos/ music... My key sounds have gone everything!
I've checked my settings they are all set to loud... What else can I do?After wiping it, you need to re-activate it. If it is carrier locked, you will need to activate it on the network it is locked to.

I would be concerned too if the songs I purchased from iTunes were not downloading to my iPhone. You have taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and thank you for providing the details of the steps you too. I have a few additional suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

Does it not show the presence of a wifi signal, or just not connect?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I sent yesterday some pictures via Mail to the newspaper I´m working for. They have Windows XP computers. All they got where some bmp´s and it was really difficult to open those, change them to jpg´s and work with them. This is new after I´ve installed Lion. Before that, it was no problem.
Anyone any idea what I did wrong or is this a new probleme of the MacOS?

I am not able to run after I've installed MF3.6. Now it will not let me uninstall the program.
Time Warner told me that because I was running 3 browsers I had a "conflict". I had Mozilla, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer8. We had a poweroutage on cable: both tv and computer (Time Warner's problem). When power came back I could not open my Mozilla Firefox, the other browsers were working. This problem began approximately on Jan 28, 2011. I had the older version of Firefox on Jan. 28th. I was not able to uninstall this from my computer without the help from the tech at Time Warner. We then installed the newer version 3.6. Removed Google Chrome. Again I could not get 3.6 to open. Time Warner told me to contact the manufacturer because "something was afecting my registry".
I contacted ZT, through the Safe Mode we uninstalled 3.6 and installed 3.6. Again, it does not open . I tried to uninstall the progam again and the same message appears: that it is in the process of uninstalling or changing, but it does not start the process of uninstalling. ZT told me to contact Mozilla Firefox.

My ipod touch (geration 4) wont load my internet it just keeps giving me the loading sign. It was working perfectly fine untill yesterday for some random reason and now it wont load at all. Again it just gives me a loading sign and the wifi symbol wont come up.
