Gathering call data on forwarded calls in Attendant Console

Hi, Does anyone know if there is a way to get call data for forwarded calls. Specifically calls forwarded to an extension from the Cisco Attendant Console.

you could try CAR but there is no specific report for what you're looking for

  • Cisco Call Manager Attendant Console error

When I try to transfer an incoming call to a mobile phone with this software I can't do it.
    What's happening?.

    Hi Carlos,
    A couple of things to check;
    1. Is this happening only to the AC user, or all phones?
    2. If this is happening to random phones it is probably a CSS issue.
    3. If this is happening to all phones perhaps you have "Block external call transfer" set to true. Have a look at the following doc;
Setting the Block OffNet to OffNet Transfer Service Parameter
The Cisco CallManager clusterwide service parameter Block OffNet to OffNet Transfer allows administrators to prevent users from transferring external calls to another external number. This parameter specifies values as True or False. Setting the parameter to True blocks external calls from being transferred to another external device. The default value specifies False. You modify the Block OffNet to OffNet Transfer service parameter by using the Service Parameters Configuration window.
When a user tries to transfer a call on an OffNet gateway or trunk when the service parameter Block OffNet to OffNet Transfer is set to True, a message displays on the user phone to indicate that the call cannot be transferred.
Migration from Cisco CallManager release 3.3(4) to Release 4.1
To block the transfer of external calls to external devices in release 3.3(4), the system uses service parameter Block External to External Transfer. The value of this parameter (True or False) will migrate to the new service parameter, Block OffNet to OffNet Transfer, when upgrade to release 4.1 occurs.
    From this doc for CCM 4.1.3;

  • Rights required to open attendant console client

I'm running attendant console 1.4.1.11 with CCM 4.1(3)sr3c. I can download the attendant console client to an XP machine and run the appplication as long as the user has admin or power user rights. I can't run the app when the user is given only user rights. Is this appropriate behavior for the attendant console client? I don't want to give my receptionists admin rights if I can avoid it.

I handle this by giving the Authenticated Users group full access to the C:\program Files\Cisco\Call Manager Attendant Console folder. The logged in user just needs to be able to read and write to this folder.
Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

  • IP Phone call forward to Attendant Console - reach Attendant Console Voicemail

    Hello,
I have an old Attendant Console based on CUCM7.1(5) with CUC 9.
Most of my user have voice mail box.
My issue is following: Users forward there phone to AC pilot point during lunch time or meetings.
When a call is then transfered to Attendant Console, if it is not answered, it is redirected to Unity connection and reach User Voice Mail box.
This is the good way of working for all users (to reach first redirect number mailbox), but my customer wants in the particular case of calls forwarded to standard, to reach standard voice mail box.
    How can we achieve this?
If I setup a Translation Pattern on CUCM to translate a dummy number into attendant console Pilot Point number, and forward user to this dummy number, does Translation Pattern replace the first redirect number?
    Thanks for your help.
    Thibaut

It is likely that they are transferring a call to the operator on a line they are not logged into instead of the queue.
All calls should be routed through the queue in order to receive full CTI control of that call, I would suggest you create a speed dial with the DN of the CTI Route Point for the operators queue and then transfer the call to that instead of the operator directly, this way the call sits in the queue with any other callers.

  • Attendant Console "failed to make a new call" error.

I have a problem with the error message "Failed to make a new call" in multiple instances with Attendant Console. The first time this error comes up is if the first hunt group member does not answer the call and it goes to the next member. It only displays on the first member console. If I change the hunt group order, it still comes up on whomever is first on the list. This message also comes up whenever any Console user makes an invalid call which is expected but irritating to the users.
Can I disable these error messages completely? It is highly annoying since these error messages can stack up and have to be cleared by pressing "OK" before the user can click on the screen again.
TAC has not resolved the first error yet but everything works fine.

    Hi Luigi,
Thanks for the update. Even i had opened a TAC. In my case, we have configured Hunt Pilot, from where the call is routed to the members in the hunt group. But TAC says that the Attendant console never uses HUNT PILOT to take calls. So it has to be PILOT POINT which has to be configured for Attendant console to take calls.
We had configured in this fashion, because the AC stops working often. Even though it shows, 'activated in the control center. Manually the service has to be restarted on all the nodes. And all the callers will get busy tone when they try reaching the reception.
As an action plan, we need to revert to PILOT POINT configuration and do the testing again. So If found that the pop-up is not coming anymore, then TAC will work on fixing the AC service failing issue.
Hope this helps and will keep you posted on the updates.
    Regards,
    Karthikeyan.

  • Lync Attendant Console forwarding dial time is to short

Can we change the dial timeout for forwarding a call from the Attendant Console before the reception gets the call back? It's to short (about 3 seconds).

    Hi,
Could you please click the following icon, and then change the time for unanswered calls to change the time?

  • Attendant Console Forward status

In AC (CM 4.1), it does not properly show their forward status. Only some extensions are accurately displaying wether the phone is forwarded to a cell phone, VM, etc. I reset the Telephony Call Dispatcher service, and the firewall is locally disabled. Any other ideas?

Customer wants to request the feature of showing the phone status of Call Forward All on

    call transfer.
So, business unit team has mentioned that this is an expensive operation since database

    1. This will only be shown in the directory window and
    2. When the number of entries displayed is <= 10

  • Sun Gathering Debug Data

I wanted to let everyone on this list know about a new set of tools called Sun Gathering Debug Data (Sun GDD or GDD).
GDD is a way to better equip and educate customers who need to contact the Sun Technical Support Center on what debug data they need to provide the first time they call. For each product covered, GDD tools provide documentation and scripts that detail the relevant data the Sun Technical Support Center requires for analyzing problems. The tools gather 90% of the debug data frequently requested by the Sun Technical Support Center, including data for more common critical situations such as memory, start/stop, installation, hang, and crash issues. By collecting this data before initiating a Service Request, customers can substantially reduce the time needed to analyze and resolve the problem.
The first release of GDD supports Messaging Server and Calendar Server, as well as many of the Java ES components, on all of the released operating systems. Support for other products is also currently underway. For more information on GDD, see the following URL :

  • Gathering POI data

    Hi all,
I've been able to gather geolocation data as far as latitude and longitude goes. How would I go about gathering POI data? I'm mainly interested in the types of businesses in the area, not their names - pharmacies, banks, parks, etc. I'm fairly new to actionscript so this may be a silly question.
    Thank you.

  • Calendar dates move forward

Can anybody help when i sync my iphone to my sony laptop on vista op sys. All my iphone calender dates move forward 1 day.

I am in the UK and suspected this was due to time zone issues (why do US companies assume they're alone on this planet?). However, I am running the latest version of iTunes and iPhone software. If an appointment is 'All day', Outlook shows it correctly, but iPhone sometimes syncs to the previous day (but not always).
Seems pretty basic, but all time date settings on both PC and iPhone are correct.

  • Maintaining the Directory in Cisco CallManager Attendant console

I have names in the directory of the cisco callmanager attendant console users that no longer work for the company. The numbers and names have been deleted from the call manager but not the directory used by the attendant console. How do I go about cleaning up the directory for the attendant console?

    Hi,
Thanks for the doc..4* for the info.
This basically explains what I've checked already. Cynth, seeing as you've checked on the AC PC that there's no userlists file, and we now know you have 2 files present on the callmanager I would suggest the following to resolve your problem:
    1) Delete both the AutoGenerated.txt and CorporateDirectory.txt from the CallManager Attendant Console directory (I've put the path in my previous post). You can copy them off this directory if you want a copy for keep safe.
    2) Re-start the TCD service again.
    3) Shut down the AC client and re-open it.
This should basically re-populate the directory on the CallManager (once you re-start the service). Then when you open up AC again it should copy across the up-to-date corporate directory list.

  • Attendant Console 6.1.2 (yeah, I know it is unsupported)

So knowing full well that this is an unsupported software, I am reaching out anyway.  I find myself in a pickle at my new company.  We are still running Call Manager 6.1.5.11900-13 (don't ask) and we have many users using Attendant Console.
Last week, the line status of all the consoles changed to blue question marks.  The phone control function of the application works great, just no line status.
We have restarted AC and CTI services on entire cluster, pointed the AC clients to multiple servers for testing, and uninstalled and reinstalled the AC client.  Tonight we are punting and rebooting the Publisher.
Anyone out there unfortunate enough to be running this, and maybe have a suggestion to fix?
A suggestion to upgrade would be sound, but won't be happening for now.
    Commence the laughing!

They usually do not simply "die" like this.  Id check for any replication issues with your cluster first off.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a00809643e8.shtml
Next, I would simply build an entire new AC in CUCM and try to use this one.  I have had luck in the past with this where the only way I could get it to work was to delete everything off it that AC used.  Pilot points, RPs, etc.  Then rebuild it.Sounds odd, yes.
I find it odd though it stopped working with no changes in the network, CUCM configurations, etc.

  • How to identify inbound location on a centralized Attendant Console?

I'm trying to find a way to be able to identify for our centralized receptionists the location of the inbound calls.
We have 16 sites set up with Cisco routers as h323 gateways each pointing all incoming calls to the main phone line to a separate AC pilot point in CCM 4.13sr3b. Is it possible to have the dialpeer put some sort of description tag that the receptionists can see on attendant console when the call comes in that says where/which site this phone call is coming in from? Or display the queue it is coming in on?
Any ideas on this would be appreciated. I'm trying to avoid going down the IPCC path to provide this functionality since Cisco won't support IPCC and attendant console running simultaneously.
Bottom line is we have a multi site CM deployment where all inbound calls going to a central group of folks running attendant console and we need to be able to discern which pilot point or voice gateway the call is coming in on.
I appreciate any thoughts on this!!
    Ryan

One way to do this if you don't care about the caller ID of the calling party, would be to tranform the calling number to DN of the Pilot DN by using Translation Patterns. Basically the GW's CSS would not have access to the AC Pilot, but to a TP that transforms the calling party and redirects to the AC Pilot.

  • Attended Xfer on A SPA500S 32 Button Attendant Console

I have a CISCO 504G with a SPA500S 32-Button Attendant Console.  I had this all configured just the way I like it, when I had to remove the Attendant Console for a recent move.  Now I have my console all programed with all my speed dials (employee extensions and cell numbers) but I can't transfer a call.  When I called my VoIP carrier, Vocalocity, they said it can't be done.  When I first got my sidekick, they told me the same thing.  I then called Cisco and they told me exactly how to configure it to be able to perform an Announced transfer so I know its possible.  I need to be able to let my employee know who is calling before I transfer the call.  Can anyone help me?

We just installed an new system with the SPA508g phones and the SPA 500s Side Car and are having the same monitoring issues. We have notified our support and they have been tweeking our system quite a  bit. If this is a known issue why is CISCO not resolving it. Does CISCO monitor these forums?

  • Unity -- Best practice for Attendant Console and Operator

I am fairly new to Voice Over IP. I am in a new position for managing our phones, e.g., Moves, Adds, Changes and Call Handler management. We use version 8.6.2.
Our system is comprised of 19 different buildings, with 1 to 2 Attendant Consoles per building. When our phone network was set up, people who have Attendant Consoles did not want callers to have the option to leave a message if someone is away from their Attendant Console momentarily. Is this best practice? What are most companies doing with their setups?
In addition, in what capacity is the Operator account of value or can it be deleted? We have discovered that if people choose the System Directory Handler, they can "find" their way to the Operator voicemail by pressing "0" and leave a message. However, this voicemail box has not been monitored, thus their are over 300 messages in it.
I know I will have other questions, but if someone has a a good way of setting this up, I would be very thankful.
    Laurel

    I'll give it a go!

You can't actually delete the Operator (It's a default User Account). Just go into the System Directoy Handler, click edit > caller input > if you're feeling bloody minded, choose "hang up" on the "If Caller Presses 0", otherwise either create a new call handler or point it to an existing one.

I have to deal with both situations. Some locations refuse a voice mail, some want it. It's normally at the wish of the department head. Just make sure that call does not ring forever or otherwise make the caller upset.
