Hi. I have a very large my music folder on my C drive. This is were all of my music is including itunes. However, when I go into itunes, it sets up a new my music folder. If I erase the new folder, it comes back the next time I go into itunes. It is just a very small folder vs. the large 132 GB file named My Music. What is this new one and why does it keep getting generated vs. Itunes just using the large My Music folder that has all my music. The small My Music it creates is 134 MB. Does this have something to do with using Icloud and Itunes Match? I find it confusing to have two my music folders.

Give iPhoto a look at for creating the slideshow. It's easy to assemble the photos in an album in iPhoto, put them in the order you want and then make a slideshow of them. You can select from various themes and transitions between slides and add music from your iTunes library.
When you have the slidshow as you want use the Export button at the bottom of the iPhoto window and export with Size = Medium or Large.
Save the resulting Quicktime movie file in your Movies folder.
Next, open iDVD, choose your theme and drag the QT movie file into the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Then follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
The reason I suggest iPhoto is that I find it much easier to use than iMovie (except for the older iMovie 6 HD version). Personal preferences showing here.

I can't get my itunes music to my Windows Media Player on same computer. Used to transfer it automatically. Is there a simple way or will I need to quit itunes? Quite frankly I don't care much for the way itunes works other than it's music selection. I need simple instructions please. Thanks for any help out there....

Your a bit stuck if you didn't back up your old computer.
But your apps can be re-downloaded later using your itunes account; you won't have to pay again.
You can download all your photos via wifi using an app like "wifi photo transfer".
There is no way anyone here can help you extract the music off your iPhone; iPhones were built to hold music to listen to, not to be able to get back off.
On the plus side again you can redownload all purchased music via itunes for free.
My advice would be to back up your computer this time.
And also to use icloud to back up your new iPhone.
If you have your old iPhone when you set up the new one it shouldn't take more then half a day to re-download everything and be close to the same.

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer.

If you have failed to bakup, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

It sounds as though you are experiencing an issue with an Apple ID and authorizations. Based on your post, it sounds like you are familiar with the authorizing and deauthorizing process. The Apple ID in question (your wife's email) may be originating from the iPhone you are attempting to update. Is it possible that your wife created an Apple ID or iCloud account which is signed in on that iPhone? I had the same problem with my iPad, i couldn't get the newer version of itunes because the computer was too old and my iPad couldnt sync with the old itunes. I got a PC from school a few months later so that solved the problem for me. Unfortunately i don't think there would be a program to put your music on your iPod, iTunes should be the only way to transfer files to Apple devices. What operating system are you running and what version of it is it?

If you still have the crashed Win computer, you may be able to recover your music and movies from the hard drive. If you have a friend with a hard drive USB connection kit and a PC, they should be able to help. Otherwise, check locally for computer services that might do that for you (I think Best Buy Geek Squad may be able to help). If the drive itself is in good shape, it shouldn't be too expensive.

When you are done with this issue, consider the computer back at the office may still
have access to your iTunes account, and it should be de-auhorized. You can do that
remotely, but be sure you carefully do not mess up your other computer iTunes libraries.

I have the new version of iTunes (11 0 2 26) for Windows which installed over my old copy. I see none of my music etc even after it claims to have synced and backed up. How do I get my photos and music back into iTunes from my iPad? It syncs OK with calendar and contacts from Outlook and I can force copying of apps and books but why does it not show music and photos in the iTunes library? help please.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
