Getting a 'Procedure entry point ons_subscriber_cancelcallback' - not found error on 2.121.1.0

After installing 12C ODP.NET client with the xcopy deployment, my application gets a
"Procedure entry point ons_subscriber_cancelcallback could not be located in the dynamic link library oraons.dll" while createing a new oracleConnection Object.
Registry and GAC looks clean. I've installed the new client to a new location.
Tried with the old 2.112.3.0 odp.net driver - Recompiling using the 2.121.1.0 driver did not help.
Any Ideas?

I believe the root cause of this problem is the Oracle xcopy install directory was not added to the Windows system PATH. This is described in step 4 of the xcopy README install instructions.
====================
4. Add the install directory and install directory's bin subdirectory to the system PATH environment variable before any other Oracle directories. Otherwise, the products that are installed may not work properly as it will not be able to load the necessary DLLs. for example, if c:\oracle was provided as the install directory, add c:\oracle and c:\oracle\bin to the system PATH.

  • Tried to upgrade and after uninstalling and reinstalling several times, keep getting "procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library" followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  Error 7.....Help, please??

Tried to upgrade as instructed and after uninstalling and reinstalling (even back to the former iTunes which I was happy with)several times, keep getting message "Procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library"  followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  "Error 7".    Help, please??

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
    Does iTunes launch properly now?
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find CoreMedia.dll in the one of the following folders:
         C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
         C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

  • The Procedure entry point Could not be located in the dynamic Link Library

I have recently received an error message that starts out with "The Procedure entry point XXX Could not be located in the dynamic Link Library" and then I get an Error 7 (Windows error 127). iTunes will not start. I have uninstalled all Apple programs and then re-installed them. Still no luck. I am running Windows 8.1. I have tried systen restore too but with no luck.
Any solutions or suggestions. This only started this evening when I tried to open iTunes!

There are several different scenarios that could lead up to the error, but typically it arises because an older version of the .dll has been copied into the wrong folder to workaround a different problem, and now after updating iTunes the outdated .dll that gets called cannot handle the request made of it.

  • The procedure entry point  cannot be found

I have downloaded a trial version of photoshop cs6 and cannot open the program. I get the following message:
The procedure entry point Get Logical Processor Information could be located in dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
    What does this mean?

Could you provide some details about your computer and which version of Windows are you using.
From the sound of it, it seems that it might either be an incomplete install or perhaps unsupported hardware. You could have a look the the Tech Specs just to be sure that your computer meets the system requirements: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/tech-specs.html
You could also try uninstalling the software, and then reinstalling.

Assuming the files have been uploaded correctly, this suggests a path problem in your files or with your folder structure.
Edit: Looks like you've fixed it because it's working now.

After some more investigation... I have finally found the problem... I think!!!
Suns JVM took my browsers default connection settings:
    HTTP IP PORT
    SECURE IP PORT
    FTP IP PORT
    GOPHER IP PORT
    SOCKS IP PORT
All of these are set in my browser.
It seems that Suns JVM orders the way it connects to the Internet.
Basically the JVM was trying to access the Internet via the SOCKS server settings and not the HTTP.
To fix the problem I un-ticked the "use browser settings" check box in the Java plugin proxies tab and just added the HTTP IP and PORT of our proxy server that goes out onto the Internet.
I then tried the applet and it worked!!!
Does anyone know why the JVM orders connections in this way?

  • I am unable to open my Firefox browser. This is the message I get "The procedure entry point js_NextActiveContext could not be located in the dynamic link library js 3250.dll." I really hate to lose my bookmarks.

Being unable to open Firefox just started one day, unexpectedly. I had been on Firefox already that day. I've tried starting a Profile Manager but when I went to "run" and typed in "firefox.exe-ProfileManager" I got the exact same error message as seen above in my question.

The updater may not have been able to update all the files and some were left as older versions.<br />
You need to do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.
    * Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
