GETTING AN OLDER VERSION OF PC SUITE!

I used to have an older version of Pc suite (can't remember which, that's the problem) and I never had any problems. Now I decided to update my version to the
6.81.13.0 version which is the right one for my Nokia 6670.
And now whenever I plug my phone in, nothing happens.
When I click "Get connected", it never recognizes anything.
How can I go back to an older version?
I believe I don't have Windows XP SP1 or SP2 and don't think I would be able to get it so I rather get back to my older
version of PC SUITE (which I don't mind having).
How do i do that?
PLEASE HELP!!!

  • How do I get an OLDER version of PC suite ?

I'm a Mac user - OS X 10.6. My Nokia is 3500 classic. I have 5000 SMS messages in it that I need to download to some safer location and I cannot access either the Inbox or Sent Messages with my Mac - only images and music folders.
I have an old laptop running Windows XP (with no internet connection) so I downloaded the latest PC suite to my Mac and
transported it to the XP laptop via memory stik.
The latest  version of PC suite refuses to install on the XP laptop saying that the OS version is not supported. It is XP 5.1
service pack 1. I do not wish to upgrade the junk laptop.
Can you please tell me where I can download a version of PC suite that will run on XP service pack 1. Or something that will access my sms via my Mac. All I want to do is archive my sms messages. Thanks.

One way to get links to older versions of Nokia PC suite from Nokia's web site is to pick an older phone model.  They sometimes point to older PC Suite versions -- version 6.x would suit you fine for XP SP1.  Pick a phone model from like 53 years ago and you may get lucky.
For PC Suite 6.83.20.1 pick Nokia 1006
For PC Suite 5.8 (Win98 and WinME support) pick Nokia 6100
For PC Suite 4.81 pick Nokia 6210
For PC Suite 3 pick Nokia 3650
Some of these are device specific so they may or may not work for you.

  • Older versions of PC Suite Circa March 2004

I had PC Suite working well from March 2004. However when I reformatted my PC and Updated to 6.81 everything went bad. Does any body know where I can get an older version of PC Suite from around March 2004?
    XP Pro 2002 SP2, Model 6230, Bluetooth

Yes of course. The problem is that when I send a message from the PC, neither the PC or the phone saves the message in sent items whereas the old set up did.

  • Older versions of PC suite?

I have a Nokia N70 and am running Windows XP Home SP1 on my computer. I really don't want to go through the hassle of upgrading to SP2, so I was wondering if there was any way I could get an older version of PC suite?
If not, is there any way I can transfer multimedia from my phone to my computer without having to use PC suite? I don't use PC suite for anything other than that ...
    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I found pc suite 6.5 by googling it and installed it on my computer.
The problem now is that I can't get my phone to connect. I plug the cable into my phone when the Get Connected wizard tells me to. Then I get a little message from my computer saying, "Found New Hardware Nokia N70".
After that, the Found New Hardware wizard pops up and recommends that I install the software automatically, which I do. After a few seconds, the wizard tells me that it cannot install the hardware because it couldn't find the necessary software.
In the meantime, the Get Connected wizard doesn't seem to be doing anything at all. My only options are to go back or to cancel.
    Wth is going on?

  • Getting An Older Version

I was wondering if someone knew how to get an older version of itunes. Versions 5 and 6 have been causing a lot of problems, like my sounds skipping while playing, and it is using a lot of system resources just to run. I didn't have these problems with anything before version 5 so im thinking it would be easier just to scrap the new versions. Lemme know if you guys know how to find one of those versions. Thx

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Where can I get an older version of iMovie?

I recently upgraded to Leopard and after the first attempt some of the programs didn't perform properly. Long story short, the Geniuses at the Mac store told me to do an archive install but I was unable to (not enough hard drive space) and had to do a clean install. I had backed up all of my documents and files but lost all of my programs. Not a big deal as most were old and needed to be upgraded anyway.
The problem: I bought iLife 08 from the Mac store and installed it. Everything installed properly except for iMovie. It wouldn't install because my video card isn't sufficient to run iMovie 08 (or something like that).
I don't remember what version was on previously, but it worked great with Tiger. I have a 15 month old and we are constantly making camcorder movies and I really need an operable version of iMovie.
Since I bought iLife 08 I don't feel like I should have to buy any more software. I should be able to get an older version under the 08 license, IMO.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

  • Get an older version of GarageBand iOS?

How do I get an older version of GarageBand for iOS (pre 2.0.1)? Other than this method :
    https://sites.google.com/site/appleclubfhs/support/advice-and-articles/app-store -downloading-older-versions-of-apps-ios
I have been all over that article trying to figure this issue out. The problem for me is, my app store, my wife's app store, my friend's app stores, etc. all have updated versions of GarageBand iOS and we have updated iOS to 7. I can't downgrade to iOS 6 any longer. I've asked a friend to trade me his old iPad for my newer one! And on and on to no avail.
Is there a way I can download a pre - 2.0.1 version of GarageBand iOS from a 3rd party? Can the file be placed somewhere and then onto my Mac via iTunes? I have contacted app store support about this. They offered to refund my $4.99, but cannot give me my also purchased (on a different account and updated there as well) old version of GB iOS.
I have a compatibility issue between the latest GB for iOS and Logic Pro 9 on the Mac. LP 9 will not open the latest version of GB iOS. I cannot download LP 10 bc my 2007 MP is 32-bit EFI. I'm not comfortable w/ the hacks for getting Mavericks, etc. as I'm not computer savvy. I'm a songwriter who wants to write and record as simply as possible. My current set-up runs like a tank. GB iOS is great for getting ideas down when on the road. Then I flesh things out on the Mac in LP and add the audio tracks there as well.
Anyone know a workaround for opening GB iOS in LP9? I don't want the audio BTW, just the MIDI. I can find the audio by show package contents, etc. but I can't see the MIDI info in the folder. Maybe my OSX won't recognize as I could possibly do this manually? When I unpack a pre-2.0.1 GB file on the Mac, I can see both the audio and the MIDI, but not on the new GB ".band" file. Any thoughts or ideas are welcomed. Thank you!

Thank you! Can you please explain? Can I still record in GB iOS and then use the MIDI synth app? Where is the MIDI synth app - on the iPad or Mac?  How do I get the MIDI info to the Mac - by iRig MIDI or USB? Please break down the process if you can and I will try it. Looks like great idea, I just need a little more info. Thanks!

  • Can I get an older version of Netflix on my ipod touch 2nd generation?

I had netflix on my ipod before but i had to delete itunes to update my computer......along with itunes my version of netflix (2.2.1) was deleted. My ipod was also restored because "it was synced to another itunes library". Itunes was recently updated and it now requries ios5, which my2nd generation ipod touch cannot get. It is running on 4.2.1 now. I was wondering if there was anyway that I could get an older version of netflix through apple, so it can be on my ipod once again!

You should always maintain a backup copy of your computer and should certainly make sure that you have backed up before updating your computer or any other software.
If you failed to do this, then there is no way to get an older version.
    Sorry.

  • I accidentally deleted Garageband on my MacBook Pro, version 10.6.8.  The new version of Garageband is only compatible with 10.9 and above.  Is it possible to still get the older version?  OR, can I get another copy of the startup CD  for my computer

I accidentally deleted GarageBand on my MacBook Pro, version 10.6.8.  The new version of GarageBand is only compatible with 10.9 and above.  Is it possible to still get the older version?  OR, can I get another copy of the startup CD that came with my computer so that I can reinstall GarageBand?

The new version of GarageBand is only compatible with 10.9 and above.
If your Mac can run MacOS X 10.6.8, it probably can be upgraded to Yosemite, if you don't have to stick to Snowleopard for other reasons.
Is it possible to still get the older version?
Amazon or eBay are still selling iLife '11 installer disks, and you could reinstall GarageBand from these DVDs. But it will be expensive.
Have you checked your backups, if you can restore GarageBand from a backup?
OR, can I get another copy of the startup CD that came with my computer so that I can reinstall GarageBand?
Sometimes the AppleStore Support will replace missing installer CDs for a fee.

  • HT1199 Newer version of iTunes will not open.  My music is gone.  How can I get the older version back?

My "newer version" of itunes will not open.  How can I either get it to open or get the older version which worked fine?

Restore the backup before you installed.
If you didn't make a backup, at very minimum make sure your Music library isn't compromised by locating the folder you selected the music to be in (usually in Users -> yourname -> Music) and make sure there are several MB of data there by clicking once on the folder, and selecting Get Info from the File menu in the Finder.
If you can't find it, try to locate parts of track names with Find Any File.
    http://apps.tempel.org/FindAnyFile/
then determine which parent file of the .mp3 or .mpa files you have contains all of the music files by getting info under each previous folder in the folder tree.
Once you determine which folder contains all your music, back it up using the Finder, or backup the entire hard drive using cloning software at least to two different drives or two complete copies on DVDs:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-1992
You'll then want to erase and install 10.6 from the system installer you used to put 10.6 on your Mac, and run the combo 10.6.8 updater and apply the necessary security updates:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3261
Then you can install older versions of iTunes for the Mac from here, once you determine which version is compatible with 10.6.8 that you liked before by first checking which version is compatible with what you need:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITunes_version_history
Once you know that, if you can't find it with Google, let us know and maybe one of us can help. Lastly reload your music in your music folder, and your other applications.

  • How can i get an older Version of numbers?

Good evening to everybody. My problem: Numbers will not be load on my mac book air. Version in App Store is just for 0Sx 10.9 or higher. But my Mac is 0SX 10.8.5. How can i get an older version????

iWork '09, the version prior to the current major version, is still available on Amazon.  But I just noticed there are only a few left in stock.  Price is $26.99.  It may be worth the price if you use one or more of these apps regularly.  A large number of features have been removed from the latest version (10.9.x) in order to make it compatible with the iOS version.

  • How can I remove an older version of Creative Suite while deploying Creative Suite 6

After you build an install package using the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise is there a way it can be deployed to upgrade an older version of Creative Suite.   In my organization we do not need both versions and I have about 100 machines to deploy this to and do not want to have to uninstall the old Creative Suite before deploying the new one as that would take too much time.
I am also limited on hard drive space on many of my workstations so I would not like to have both Creative Suites taking up space.

Branching this discussion out and moving it to the Creative Suite Enterprise Deployment forum.  Bwilk217 the users in this forum should be able to assist you with your inquiry.
