Getting disabled screen on ipod not synced to a computer

I have an ipod touch that was locked to the disabled screen since the wrong pass code was entered. The ipod was never synced to a computer. The disabled screen tells me to connect to itunes. When I do that itunes tells me to enter the pass code. How do I get around this?

Place the iPod in Recovery mode and connect to a computer and restore via iTunes.

One thing that might help.
1. open itunes preferences from the edit menu and click on the devices tab.
2. check the box to disable syncing for iphones connected to itunes and click ok.
3. Then click the button to reset sync history.
4. Now click ok to close the preferences window.
5. connect the iphone to itunes and go to the info tab.
6. scroll to the bottom of the info page and check the box to replace the ical data on the iphone.
7. then click apply on the bottom right of itunes.
This will overwrite any events on the iphone, including any events that has become corrupted.

Not sure what the problem is. I'd try to troubleshoot it. See if it will work with a different USB Transfer cable. See if it will connect to a different PC. See if OTHER iPods will connect to YOUR PC. Usually when something like this happens it's a setting that has been changed, or unfortunately, it can also be a hardware issue (iPod connection port broken, USB Transfer cable broken, etc...) Restore. Everything except the password will be restored. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. Be forewarned that it takes a long time. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

i accadentally deleted my entire library (over 10,000 song) when i was trying to delete an old back up file off an external hard drive. Now when i open I Tunes and connect my ipod, a message says tht my ipod is not synced with this computer. This is the only computer this ipod has ever been synced to, so i don't know how to reconnect the two. I was able to restore all my music to the itunes library, but I lost all my playlists. I spent considerable time creating the playlists and they are stll on my ipod. Can I somehow sync in a way that my ipod can give the computer my play lists?

With your iPod connected to iTunes right->click on it's device name in the left hand pane of iTunes under devices and select Export Playlists.

i've found a great & simple solution for this problem
just open your iCloud acc on iPhone
turn off calendars (it wil ask you to keep info or not - KEEP IT!)
and turn back on (MERGE!)
now SYNC it..
and that's it
PS in my case it was contacts so the procedure is the same..

If everything (music and apps) are on the desktop, just connect the iPod to the desktop and :
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod if you want to set up the iPod as a new one.
- If you want to retain the apps daa and setting currently on the iPod, right click on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up. Then restore the iPOd from that backup
- You can also restore the iPod from a previous backup you have onthe Desktop if you want.

Make sure your iPod is configured to sync this playlist from under it's Music configuration tab in iTunes. You can access this tab when your iPod is plugged in.

You will need to restore your phone as a new one using the itunes on your computer. This WILL erase everything on the phone but it will let you change the name of the phone and then you can add content to it.
