Getting error message about Java Script/OSX/Illustrator incompatability. CS6 will not open
Suddenly, CS6 version of Adobe Illustrator is not opening,. Getting an error message that it requires a "legacy version of Java Runtime." Talked with Apple Customer Service about this and they learned that Oracle is no longer making that version available. What to do?

Is your scratch drive over 1 Terabyte? Photoshop 7 was never programmed for those sizes and will return that type of error if you recently changed drives,
Solution is to partition that drive to less than one 1 TB or find a smaller drive.
And update to 7.0.1 Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop 7.0.1 update

CS6 has stopped working. It give error message saying that Photoshop has unexpectedly quit and will not open at all. The same with Elements 11

Itunes was working fine. Tried to install latest upgrade and get error message about an invalid character in the path "Program Files (x86)". PC, Win7, nothing else appears to be having same issue. Program still works, simply cannor upgrade.

I tried this solution without success. After FixIt ran and didn't find a problem, either in looking for issues with "software upgrade" or "iTunes" it kindly offered to help me uninstall iTunes. I had thought of this as a possibilty but it seems to me that if you do that you lose a lot of "non-native-to-Apple" information you might have entered. I did this once and recovery was painfull. Is there a way to uninstall iTunes without losing all of that sort of thing? Any help would be appreciated. -
I just updated to FireFox v3.6.8, after using v3.5 successfully for many months. With the new version I keep getting error messages that a script "may have stopped responding", The script in question is "contentAreaUtils.js". My OS is Win2k SP4, with 253,424 KB RAM.
Is there a known fix. If not, is there an easy way to revert to FireFox v3.5 ?Attached is an image of the error message.

great Problemes after installing Yosemite (10.10.2 ) with Photoshop CS6....The program crashes --last time 10 times during my work session..wacomtable doesnt work..it is slow...and get error messages about the graphic card....It s a Terror to work with my beloved Photoshop!
The Yosemite upgrade very often damages existing Photoshop installations. Thank Apple for that.
You need to uninstall and re-install Photoshop, then apply all the Photoshop upgrades from scratch.
But first, give us details about your setup:

I have open office. Someone sent me e-mail I can't open. get error message power pc no longer supported. How do I open this doc?
Right click your document, hover over "Open with..." and then click "Other".
Find TextEdit and click "Open".
TextEdit will then do it's best to open your document.
If you have iLife, do the same but instead of opening with TextEdit open with Numbers, Pages, Keynote, e.t.c.

Ive recently updated my mac to OS X 10.10 and now my CS5 illustrator and photoshop will not open... I uploaded the most recent Java and they still won't open. Please help

Indesign CC and Illustrator CC still will not open
InDesign CC and Illustrator CC still will not open. I have tried every possible option to fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the programs. I was contacted by someone in customer service last Monday the 27th of April and my issue is still not resolved. It was stated to me that the issue may be dealing with the server and I have not had any feedback on if the issue was resolved or not. I pay for this software and it has not been working properly since I got it. I have projects that I have been working on that I have not been able to complete in a timely manner. Assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Installed Yosemite on my Mac. CS5 no longer workers. When I try to open Photoshop, I get an error message about needing a Java SE 6. This is different from the other Java update Yosemite required (I already installed that). I assumed the higher update would suffice for previous versions, but I guess it doesn't work that way. Went over to the Java site, but SE 6 doesn't seem to have a MAC version. How can I resolve this?

If you can't get any software updates, there is something wrong and I would suggest reinstalling Lion.
What errors do you get when you try to install the updates?
What is the build number of Lion. Look in About this Mac and click on the version number. -
