Getting own photo stream

I created a folder and put pictures of an event ... which I shared with other people on this event ... it works great BUT ... I don't get this photo stream on my iPhone unless I put my name again (to share it to myself????) is this right? or am I doing something wrong ... I would imagine the creator of the photo stream should get it on his own devices, no?
Thank you

Hi longrange1,
Welcome to the Support Communities!
The article below may be able to help you with this.  Your specs indicate you have Mac OS X 10.7.5, but you are in the OS X Mavericks forum.  Photo Sharing requires a Mac with OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later and either iPhoto 9.5 or Aperture 3.5.

  • HT4759 However, having a windows XP is not supported... how am I supposed to get the photo stream working on iCloud? I guess that is not a priority for Apple?

I have an iPod touch 4th generation, which is exactly what I wanted for a wifi supported multimedia device. I am trying to get the iCloud to work properly and despite of everything else working smoothly, I cannot seem to be able to get the Photo Stream working, in order to get the backup on iCloud. I tried to download the control panel and realised that it only supports the Vista SP2 and higher on Windows. Is there another way to get the settings on iCloud to include the photo stream?
    Thank you.

  • How do I get my Photo Stream to sync with my Windows 7 PC and my iPhone 5 after it has stopped working?

My photo stream has always synced just fine between my Windows 7 PC and my iPhone 5. However, just a month or so ago it stopped automatically syncing. I turned it off and on in the iPhone settings in two places, deleted all the photos manually, signed out of iCloud on my PC and even uninstalled iCloud on my PC. Now it appears to be partially working. If I add or delete photos from my Photo Stream on my iPhone, the changes are reflected on my PC. However, if I delete photos or add photos to my Photo Stream folder on my PC, the changes are not reflected on my iPhone. I can delete all the pictures out from my Photo Stream on my PC but they are all still there in my Photo Stream on my iPhone. How do I get the two devices to sync properly again?

  • HT201077 How do I get my photo stream album in iPhoto to send all the photos to my iPhone's photo stream?

Looking to get all my photos from my mac's photo stream on to my iphone's photostream.

Add any photo stream photos in iPhoto that are not in photo stream on your phone to a shared stream and invite yourself as a subscriber, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/mac/9.4/#pht5f6df5f0.

  • How do i get my photo streaming from my iPhone to transfer to my iMac? i am signed into iCloud on the iMac but there isn't an option to check on iPhoto to stream the photos from my iPhone???

How do I get iCloud on my iMac to photo stream the photos taken from my iPhone? i have signed into iCloud on the iMac yet the check options for photos isn't highlighted where i can check it??? i am operating on Maverics OS X 10.9.4???

First, only the photos after the option is set for Photo Stream to work.
    iPhone:
Settings > iCloud > Photos: ON > My Photo Stream: ON
    Mac:
 > System Preferences... > iCloud > Photos Options... > My Photo Stream.
iPhoto > Preferences... > iCloud > My Photo Stream

  • I can't get the photo stream to show all my photos

I appreciate if someone can help me to get all my pictures on my iPad from my photo stream

Only the photos that you took on the phone or the iPod after you turned on Photo Stream on the iPad will appear in the Photos Stream. That's what I'm saying.
It doesn't matter that you bought the phone and iPod at different times. You have obviously been using Photo Stream on both devices long enough to have the same number of Photos on each device. Since you just turned Photo Stream on in the iPad settings, you can only see the photos that you took with the phone or iPod since you turned it on.

  • HT201317 I can't get my photo stream to sinc between my computer and my IPAD

I have turned on my icloud on my PC and my IPAD.  have photos in my photo stream folder on my PC but they don't travel to my IPAD. Why?

When you first enable photo stream on a device you will only get photos from the last 30 days (if any), as older photo stream photos are no longer in iCloud (even though they may be on your other devices).  If you want to stream these older photos to your new phone, you can add them to a shared stream and invite yourself as a subscriber, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99.

  • How to I get "My Photo Stream" photos to update after edit?

OK. If I take photo on my iPhone it shows up in "My Photo Stream" almost immediately on my iPad. If I then make edits to the photo on my iPhone, such as cropping, those changes do not get updated in "My Photo Stream". Is there a way to push the edited photo to "My Photo Stream"?
    I'm using iOS 8.1.2.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi laceyfinkel,
I understand you are running iOS 7 on your iPhone, and you want your pictures to show up on your Mac, is that right?  The feature you are looking for is called iCloud Photo Stream.  Here's how to set it up:
iCloud: Set up My Photo Stream
    https://support.apple.com/kb/PH13693?locale=en_US
On your iOS 7 or iOS 8 device
Go to Settings > iCloud > Photos (or Settings > Photos & Camera), then turn on My Photo Stream.
With My Photo Stream turned on, new photos taken with your iOS device are uploaded to iCloud when your device is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi. The new photos appear automatically in My Photo Stream on your iOS 8 devices when iCloud Photo Library beta is not enabled. When iCloud Photo Library beta is turned on, they are part of your photo library and appear in All Photos. They appear in My Photo Stream on your other devices, including your iOS 7 devices, Mac and Windows computers, and Apple TV.
On a Mac using iPhoto or Aperture
For instructions, see one of these iPhoto Help or Aperture Help topics:
Turn on My Photo Stream in iPhoto
Turn on My Photo Stream for an Aperture library
    Take it easy,

  • HT201317 Just got an iPad.  I cannot get my photo stream photo's to download

I had Photo stream set up for my iPhone and it works fine.  I want to download all the photo's to my iPad.  Went to Genius Bar today, no help.  Anyone?

Photo stream only keeps photos for 30 days, even though they remain on your device (up to 25,000 photos) until you delete them.  When you enable photo stream on your iPad you will only get photos added to your photo stream during the last 30 days (as the others have been deleted).  If you want to get the others on your iPad you can either save them to your camera roll on your phone (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll), then import them to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then put them in a folder and sync them to your iPad by selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing your iPad.  Or, a more convenient way to do this is to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them between your devices over wifi.

  • I cloud downloaded all except photo stream to my mac book OS x 10.6.8 how do i get the photo stream?

I have a 2008 macbook 10.6.8 software, I recently downloaded icloud but the photo stream isn't showing up although i have all the other elements of Icloud i.e. calender, mail, notes etc....everything except photos strream. What is the problem?  I've been told that I can't download mountain lion as the computer is too old to handle the upgrade.

You can't use Photo Stream if you aren't using OS X 10.7.2 or later, and iPhoto '11 or Aperture 3.
OS X Mountain Lion requires a Late 2008 Aluminum or an Early 2009 MacBook. If your Mac isn't compatible with Mountain Lion, you can upgrade to OS X Lion instead.
First, call Apple to purchase Lion > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 Then, make a backup of your data and upgrade to OS X Lion. Also, check that your apps are supported > http://www.roaringapps.com
After upgrading, open System Preferences > iCloud, and turn on Photo Stream. Then, do the same on iPhoto. If you aren't running iPhoto '11, delete your actual iPhoto version from Applications folder and then, purchase iPhoto '11 from the App Store

  • HT201317 Getting more photo stream space

My most recent photos aren't saving to my computer photo stream.  Why?
I'm supposed to have total storage of 5.0 GB.  Available is 3.4 GB.
Deleting photos from my iphone photo stream doesn't seem to give me more space.
I currently have 573 photos on my iPhone.  I've taken many many more and deleted them from my iPhone after filing them into my pc.
I don't understand how this works, I guess.
I have taken some pix that I would like to save ...I would rather not have to 'reset' my photostream yet.
    Please advise me.
    Thanks.

Photostream does not count against your icloud storage so deleting photos from photostream will not affect you icloud storage space. This article might help answer some of your questions http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486
