How do I get text to wrap in a form field instead of shrinking in size as I type?

You need to enable the "Multi-line" option for the text field and make the field large enough to display the maximum expected entered text.

How do I get text to wrap around a jpeg photo. Pages instructions don't seem to work for me. I'm just beginning to use Pages for other than simple word processing.

I am creating a photo album with captions and have tried to have one caption wrap around a photo image that is part of a series of three overlapping and descending images. I have selected the photo, clicked Inspector etc. with no luck. I did read a previous answer re floating and noticed that both my text and my image have inline in light colour and floating in dark, which I presume means they are both inline. When I try to click on Floating in Object Placement, nothing happens. The option doesn't appear to be "available", unlike the wrap options below, which do light up and indicate what I want to happen. It just doesn't happen and I don't know how to solve the problem.
I have had to replace my older computer on which I did all of these projects (newsletters, albums, etc.) with an old version of InDesign, which no longer works with the newer OS 10.6. So I'm trying to learn how to do the same types of things with Pages, and it's somewhat frustrating, since text wrap was quite simple with InDesign.

Trying to get text to wrap ALL the way around either text, images, shapes in Mac Pages. I tried in Pages Word Processing

I have tried everything to get text to "wrap completely around" other text, images, shapes. Mac Pages - tried Word Processing and tried Page Layout. Inspector, wrap, Floating and Object causes wrap. The text will ONLY wrap at the TOP and BOTTOM of the object, etc. No matter which choice I make in Object causes wrapping. It just doesn't work. I have worked for hours on this - I can't find a solution. HELP!

What version of Pages?
I suspect you are using Pages 5 in OSX 10.9 not OSX 10.8.4.

Thanks for the reply.
I did read the help and went through the tutorial - the butterfly text wrap (and the wrap around the curved contour of the bicycle wheel at the Apple store) is the reason I am asking this question. I don't know how to use one of my own pictures and tell Pages what contour to wrap around. Is there some additional image editing software that I need to "creatively crop" one of my own pictures, so that Pages will be able to wrap around that contour?

Trouble with auto size text in a single line form field

Hi. I'm having an issue with filling out a form in Adobe Reader on my iPad. The text field is single line. The font is set to "auto" so that the line of text will not exceed a certain width. When filling out this form on my laptop using Adobe Reader, it works fine. As I type additional text, once the field is filled, it shrinks the text font size. On my iPad, however, it won't let me type any more text in the field once I reach the end. Does Adobe Reader for iPad not support the "auto" font size in form fields? And I did check that my version of Adobe Reader is up to date on my iPad, so I do have the latest version.

Actually, nevermind. It must be something wrong with the file. I tried opening another file and auto resize worked perfectly on it. Weird though that it works on one file and not another.

How to get text of itab header and structure field name dynamically?

of cause I can use <htmlb:tableView> but I need display by loop itable for my special reason.
the table is dynamic structure that means header line should be changes depends on structure description.

How do you set default fonts and default text box sizes on bound form fields?

I am using an existing PDF as a template to build my form in designer.
I am dragging my objects from the schema window to the form and when I drop it on the form it is way too big - so for every field I do this with I am left to resize and reset the font to every bound object i drop on the page!
Is there a way to set the default font and the default dimensions of the bound text boxes I am droping on the PDF form page?

I would also launch /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities, select your boot drive, and verify/repair permissions — just to be on the safe side for the newly added iWork '09 applicaitons.

Floated sidebar - cant' get text to wrap

I have created an input form in VC and it has 2 fields which r 'drill-down' type.Now what i want is that the entries for the fields should come automatically on deployment in the portal.what i mean is that e.g. u have a field 'location' and it is drill down type. Now when u run the model , in the input form the 'location' field entries should be populated automatically i.e the entries should b fetched from the server directly.If u guys have any idea then plz help me.I m very liberal in awarding points.

Getting text to wrap

When I enter a new event - sometimes the text "wraps," dropping down to a second and third line if need, and I can see all the info. Other times, it doesn't wrap, and I see only the info that fits on the first line. Looked at preferences and the different menus. Don't know how to set/reset this. Don't know why one type of event wraps and others don't. Please help!

Interactive PDF Form Field Text properties InDesign CS6

I am new to InDesign CS6 (upgraded from CS4) and after advice when attempting PDF form creation.
Is there a way of defining text style of text colour font for the form field,
(in the same way thay is possible if I was editing the PDF within in the text properties of Acrobat).
Or do I need to export and change the font and colour properties from Acrobat (which would be a shame).

I can't get Text Wrap to work for me CS5

Okay, time for my stupid question of the week! I am having lots of trouble getting text to wrap around an object. I'm almost embarassed to ask this, since it's so basic.
I am using the 30 day trial version of CS5.
I have tried everything. I've followed the following tutorials and nothing happens when I press Object >Text Wrap>Make.

All the tutorials have different instructions. I have tried them all and tried so many variations. From what I can piece together, this is the correct sequence:
create new page
use the rectangle tool to create a rectangle
paste text in rectangle (I've also typed it in)
file>place and select image (I've tried pasting it in too)
select only image and ensure image lies above text in layer box
object>text wrap>make
I've tried all sorts of variations - selecting image and text, selecting text only, pasting image instead of placing and get the same result.
Any assistance that can be offered would be much appreciated.

Text and object MUST be on the same layer.
Text MUST be on top of object to be wrapped.
Text MUST be area text.
Are all of the above true?
From reading your steps, you've got the text behind the object to wrapped, becuase you created the text, then placed/pasted an image. If you were to place/paste the image, then create the text, you'd be set.
Select the text and choose Object > Arrange > Move to front. Then try wrapping the text.

JAVA PJC Interaction with Standard Form Fields?????

I am creating come sophisticated PJC's using VBean and the various classes provided in f90all.jar. This works great! However my components would be more elegant and easier to use for my application team if the VBeans could access / set the value of a non-PJC form field. Ie., I have a VBean that wants to access a TEXT ITEM that is standard form field. I have not found f90jar javadoc and I imagine that oracle doesn't want to expose it because it is a moving target. However a simple interface to get / set field values without trigger firing would be sweet! Even just a get would solve 80 % of my issues. Is is possible to enumerate the names of the parent containers items and use get/setProperty to do this? If so what are the built-in property names.

How can I get an information from a created form field?
In more details: I have to assign a manual creating of a resource to a concrete group of users. So I made a form that contains a field named "Admin Group", made a process for this form that contains a manual task "manual create user", in assignment tab of this task I'm using a task assignment adapter. This adapter has one input parameter - Group name using what I want to find a group key. So the problem is in mapping this parameter. I expected to find my "Admin Group" field and map to it, but i didn't find that. How can I get information from this field?

I think you have created Object Form. Are you seeing Object Data while mapping.
Create one process form. Populate Process Form Field using Data Flow under Process Definition.
While mapping you'll see Process data to map with your Admin Group.
Sorry don't know how they have handled in OIM 11g... Above is for 10g.

How does one strip out all Live Cycle data from a PDF and rebuild the form fields in Acrobat?

Someone in a different department built a bunch of forms in Live Cycle. We now need to make minor edits to these forms but we all have Macs and can't use Live Cycle. Currently our only option to change a date and a name on each form is to buy a new Windows workstation, buy a copy of Live Cycle and train someone for it.
I understand the Live Cycle technology and Acrobat technology for forms are somehow different but there must be a way to just strip out all the Live Cycle form programming so that I just have the bare PDF with the text and layout. Then make the text edits and rebuild the form fields in Acrobat.

It depends on your PDF. Is the PDF a static XFA or a dynamic XFA?
You can check to see if the PDF is static/dynamic by clicking File=>Save As, and it should say static or dynamic PDF as file type.
iText will work with Static XFA forms created in LiveCycle. Dynamic XFA forms are not supported.
You can also submit XML data to a server side script and parse the XML data using C# system.xml.xmlreader.
