Please help me urgently. I am updating some record through update page and I want to display them at home page ..I am getting problem in displaying fullname of employee , Salary, and Position....Remaining values I am able to display..

How to get updated value form oracle database on a field in oracle forms 6.0 at run time if the same form is opened by multiple users and both have get the same maximum value if one commit the record then how other would get that maximum value with out exiting that form...

This issue is fairly common and Forms handles the situation by displaying the error, "Record has been updated by another user. Requery to see changes." if a user tries to update a record that was updated by another user.
If your data is in a base table block, you can check before you save by checking the value in the form against the database using the Get_Item_Property('<BLOCK.ITEM>',DATABASE_VALUE). You can compare the value returned by the built-in against the value in the field to see if they have changed. This could be a lot of work and a lot of network traffic if you are checking numerous items in your data block. Forms has a standard locking mechanism that will lock the queried record as soon as a user makes any changes. If another user queries and attempts to change the record locked by another user - they will receive a "Record Locked" message.

How do i get the value of that field

in JSP i have a field like below..

In Action class , how do i get the value of that field (i.e id) ?
String value =reques.getparameter (//what ??);

i dont want to change the jsp.
concern is , as the name of the id is dynamic .....so can i get the value in the Action class ?
is there any trick exists ?
I will try not to change any jsp code but will do changes in Action class

How to get updated values from the loops while they are running

Hello,
I am having difficulty solving a very basic problem, how to access the updated values from the 'FOR loop' while its running? Basically, the VI I am currently working on calls two sub VIs. Each sub VI has a for loop, and both VIs may or may not run for same number of iterations. My goal is to read the values at each terminal inside the loop of both sub VIs, in the Main VI. I tried to achieve it using Global Variables, but in main VI it displays only the last iteration value from both sub VIs. Could anyone please tell me whrere am I going wrong? Is there any other/better way to achieve this.
I appreciate any input on this issue.

In attached VI, I can see the values changing in the sub VI from the main VI with the numeric indicator whose reference is passed on to the sub VI. Now if I wanted to store or use those values how do I do that? I tried to chnge the indicator to control and read from it (in the attached VI) , but the the indicator updates only once. Tried to create a property node and read the Value from it and it didn't work either.

Get Updated values in valueChangeListener of af:selectManyShuttle

I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
I have applied the valueChangeListener in selectManyShuttle to get the values in backing bean.
But the problem is, it's not giving me the updated values.
For example, for the 1st time, the left side list is empty. So, 1st time when I moves some values, it doesn't give me any value but next time, it gives me the the ID of previously moved items.
How to resolve this problem?

You can try to put the following line as the 1st line in your valuechangelistener method.
valueChangeEvent.getComponent().processUpdates(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());

I was being super organised and due to a large amount of apps i decided to make a library in windows explorer dedicateded to apps - how can i get the updates put in the same folder. i also put my music and books into a seperate folder (not in the itunes music folder)how do i get new songs / new books put there?

I just wonder how to use the updated new value of other column in the same udpate statement. I am using Oracle 11.2, and want to update the two columns with one update statement as following:
create table tb_test (id number(5), tot number(5), mon_tot number(5));
update tb_test set (tot = 15, mon_tot = tot *15) where id = 1;
...I would like to update both tot and mon_tot column, the value of mon_tot shall be determinted by the new value of tot.

When trying to get updates it says that I am not conntected and to check my network. How do I fix this?

No. You just have to be careful not to delete the version of the apps are are only compatble with iPad 1. since yu can't redownload them.

Sometimes, the back arrow won't back completely out of a site I've been browsing, causing me to have to close the tab completely (along with any sites I want to get back to in that same tab)

For example, I had a browsing session going, looking at two different news sites in the same tab, then went to comcast to check my voicemail. When finished, I couldn't get out of the comcast site with the back arrow, only by closing that entire tab (session). I've experienced this problem with a few other sites as well. You can copy the files, but the ownership on the files still belongs to the other user account, once your done copying, then perform a #6 Reset Users Permissions and that will set all the ownership to that account.

Problem getting updated values from DCIteratorBinding

Hello,
I have one af:table which is binded using DataControl based on ViewObject.
I typed some values in each column and now I want to access those values from the iterator but its giving me initial value at the time page loaded.

The strange thing is, I have another ViewObject binded to af:table and it works fine I do not know whats wrong here

the code seems okay and if it works with another VO but not this particular, then the issue obviously is not in teh Java code but the page code. Since you have a working and a not working solution, i don't think its an issue with the product.

Using a custom itemrenderer in datagrid to update value in the same row but different column/cell

Here's what I have so far. I have one datagrid (dg1) with enable drag and another datagrid (dg2) with dropenabled. Column3 (col3) of dg2 also has a custom intemrenderer that's just a hslider.
When an item from dg1 is dropped on dg2, a custom popup appears that asks you to use the slider in the popup to set a stress level. Click ok and dg2 is populated with dg1's item as well as the value you selected from the popup window. I was also setting a sliderTemp variable that was bound to the itemrender slider to set it but that's obviously causing issues as well where all the itemrenderer sliders will change to the latest value and I don't want that.
What is needed from this setup is when you click ok from the popup window, the value you choose from the slider goes into dg2 (that's working) AND the intemrenderer slider needs to be set to that value as well. Then, if you used the intemrenderer slider you can change the numeric value in the adjacent column (col2).   I just dont know how to hook up the itemrenderer slider to correspond with that numeric value (thatds be in col2 on that row);

BAPI doesnt show updated values

Hi Experts,
I have this problem with a bapi "BAPI_BUS20350_GET_DETAIL", it is used to get the details (descriptions , partners) etc of an Audit.
The problem is when i make some changes to an audit(say description) in a report and run this bapi it still gives me the old values , it is only when i run the report again that it shows me the new values .
I would like to get the updated values in the same running session , there is no refresh bapi in the function group.
Please throw some lite on how to solve this problem.

Please try to call the BAPI, " BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT" which will commit the current work process which in turn help you to solve your current problem, or else you can use ABAP statements like COMMIT, or WAIT UP TO sec SECONDS etc.

SystemWideClassABPWP in RZ20 not getting updated

Hi All,
We need some help from you.
We have shortlisted the monitoring contexts in RZ20 around which we would like to configure our alerts in the system.
But just one concern, here in the monitoring tree under the monitoring tree Background, we have shortlisted SystemWideClassABPWP which tell the System Wide Class A Background Work Process across the instances.
But, we noticed that the value for this particular parameter is not getting updated (value 5 in the below screenshot).
The SystemWideClassABPWP and SystemWideTotalBPWP show inactive. This also seems to be non-modifiable (as per the legend in rz20)
Any clue as to how to activate them and update them with the latest value.

Thanks a lot for your reply. But we find that these parameters are not getting updated and so we do not see the log like Green 06.03.2008 , 20:03:31 besides them (for other )
One more thing is we have 2 application servers (1 central instance & other application instance) with each having 5 work process for A priority jobs and 20 work processes for other jobs. So these parameters should show the values as
SystemWideClassABPWP - 10
SystemWideTotalBPWP - 40
But this is not the case. Also, when the operation mode changes these values are not getting updated.
Request your kind help in this regard.

Memory leak in "get property value (string)" ?

Hi,
I'm not sure which forum to post this to because it involves a combination of labview and teststand. The error I'm getting is more teststand related so it is here.
In our application, we have a labview queued state machine launched by a teststand step using "launch vi asynchronously". In one of the states of this state machine, we are looping grabbing frames from a camera, querying a teststand using "get property value (string)", to overylay on the video on each frame. This is so when we post process the video, we can tell what step(s) teststand was performing (we are writing a status string to a property from teststand as well). Since this string has to be overlayed on the video for each frame to be visible when played back, this happens many many thousands of times over the multi hour test runs of the platform.
My problem is, after 22 hours or so of running, I get an error generated from the "get property value (string)", saying cannot create any more threads. The only thing wired to this tool in our vi is sequence context, which is passed in when the vi is launched from teststand. When opening the "get property value (string)" vi itself, it is very simple, consisting of a "aspropertyvalue" casting, reading of the string from the proprety, closing the aspropertyvalue reference, and exiting. It does not seem like there should be any "threads" being created here, except for perhaps the vi itself executing. But in that case I would assume the OS itself would clean up after itself.
BTW, the OS I am testing on is win7 x64. I did see this though running on our xp box once as well though, same amount of time. It is very repeatable. My next plan is to disable this get property value using a disable case, and run again, but I"m still wondering why this error is occurring. Any help or insight will be appreciated.

Hi David,
Have you tried just using property node | Method Nodes instead of using the VI. There should be no difference but I think that VI is polymorphic ie the input with change depending on what's wired to it eg string, double etc.
