GetView in a rule failing

Hi,
I am trying to get a read only copy of the view using the "getView" method in
"com.waveset.object.ViewMaster" class.
Following the EXPRESS code:
<block>
<set name='vm'>
<new class='com.waveset.object.ViewMaster'>
<ref>:display.session</ref>
</new>
</set>
<set name='usr'>
<invoke name='getView'>
<ref>vm</ref>
<s>User:EmployeeTwo</s>
<null/>
</invoke>
</set>
P.S.: "EmployeeTwo" is an existing User ID
When I execute the rule it throws following exception:
XPRESS <invoke> exception:

  • Cluster Setup Support Rules fails with Warnings

    Hi,
    I'm in the process of installing our ECC production server in a clustered environment on windows server 2008 with SQL server 2008 as our database.
    The MSCS cluster at the OS level has been configured successfully. When I start the SQL server installation as mentioned in the installation guide, the Setup Support Rules fails with following warnings.
    1. The setup support file prompts me to set the MSDTC service as a clustered one but it was not mentioned anywhere in the installation guide that the MSDTC service needs to be clustered. Do I need to cluster that service with seperate network ip address and cluster group ?
    2. The Network binding order issues a warning even though the adapters are set up in the right order as mentioned in the installation guide.
    3. Eventhough there is a internet connectivity available in the server, the "Microsoft .Net Application Security" check issues a warning.
    NB: As per the cluster validation report, the clustering at the OS level seems to be fine.
    Please provide me your valuable suggestions to rectify these warnings. Can I ignore these warnings and proceed with the installation of SQL Server ?
    Regards,
    Varadharajan M

    Hi,
    Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator
    Is is user by older versions of Mssql database.
    From a SAP perspective you don't need this service.
    You can ignore setup request for this service.
    As per the reply, I understand that the MSDTC service is not mandatory to cluster in Windows Server 2008/MS SQL Server 2008. But when i try to install the SQL DB, the Set support rule ends up with warnings saying that the MSDTC service should be clustered. Can I ignore the warnings and proceed with the installation. Can anyone confirm this please ?
    Also please confirm whether we need to have the db cluster group in the DNS before initiating the SQL Server Set up.

  • Assert new business object as tree output in business rule fail

    Hi all
    I use Jdev 12.1.3
    When I create a business rule with input as tree and output parameter as tree. input/output parameters are different .xsd files but are same structure.
    In my rule set i define a rule that read the tree (it contain a collection with 1 to many relation such as http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28271_01/user.1111/e10228/rules_start.htm#autoId34http://) and then i want to assert new in my output tree but in reading collection for insert their element failed.
    This is my rule body:
    And my error is:
    Can not set java.lang.Long field com.oracle.xmlns.bpm.bpmobject.businessdata.mosavabatedayere.MosavabateDayereType.dayereId to com.oracle.xmlns.bpm.bpmobject.businessdata.mosavabehayeyegan.MosavabehayeYeganType
    MosavabateDayereType is a array in ListMosavabateDayereType
    thanks to all

    It's working now..I had to use Global variable to declare child element of the output variable and use the same during action.

  • Direct Rule - Add Collection Rule fails - SCCM Integration

    I am trying to use Add Collection Rule and add a computer to a collection using Direct Rule. It fails with the following error:-

    But I am using Collection Value Type as Name and Resource Definition Value Type as "Resource Names". If I use Resource ID instead and add the computer resource ID - it works. The FQDN does not work.
    I have added quotes "comp1.dev.com" . the screenshot below is older.
    Regards, Vik Singh "If this thread answered your question, please click on "Mark as Answer"

    It does not matter what I name the rule. Only success is using the ResourceID, but then I will to write a powershell command to get the resource id.
    The Rule Definition has to be in quotes, else it says it is invalid. I have tried all combos and this does not work.
    Maybe someone else who has the IP can check.

  • Null transformation in Studio generated rules fails to build / load

    I have a dimension field with nulls in my table.
    Luckily there is a handy <Null> search and replace rule in Studio.
    Not-so-luckily it fails to do what you'd think, ie. transform nulls.
    The dimension is built without the desired member.
    The dataload fails due to "data item found before member" because the column with the nulls is skipped, not transformed.
    Looking at the data load rule, it looks like it should work. Ie. the transformation displays properly. But it doesn't work when you deploy the cube.
    And of course you can't look at the Studio-deployed dimenstion build rule. Our innocent eyes apparently can not handle such things. But I'd expect you'd sees something that appears to work on display but doesn't build what it shows.
    Anyone seen this or have any ideas, besides modifying the source data which is the road I'm going to have to take. Call me silly, but I think the tool should be able to do this, not just pretend to.
    Thanks.
    Todd Binenstock

    Glenn,
    Thanks. It's been a trip. Yes, ultimately I gave up and got an NVL() put into the view I was given.
    I looked at the load rule and it appears to do the null substitution when you manually retrieve/view the records within the rule, but it clearly fails to work when it actually builds/loads.
    You can do a custom SQL to do the build, but there won't be a member on the dimension to load to unless you get the null transform in the build rule. And of course you can't edit that SQL (except some minimal hacks you can do in the binding using CPL)
    I tried adding a manual member and got a "duplicate field in query" error and did not see anything wrong. Opened an SR and got a call 3 weeks later after going another direction. Theoretically that should work, I just haven't gotten back to it.
    I was trying to use the tool for transformations instead of SQL, mostly to see what it can do. So far, not so happy on the nulls. I think its more of a load rule issue than a Studio issue. Just wish someone would make it work like you'd expect. I am getting good at workarounds, but a little tired of things almost working as advertised.

  • Business Rule fails - where

    Hi,
    I have a business rule that does some cross dimension multiplication.
    I think it is now running into a data problem, as it fails when it has worked consistently for sometime.
    Is there anyway to get any diagnostics on what data is being accessed when the script errors??
    The only thing I can think of that would cause failure would be an attempt to multiply null or 0, the latter causing a problem because of subsequent complications of rounding the sum of the result back to the original figure - but of course these are only educated guesses as I have no means of knowing what data it choked on - can I find this??
    thanks,
    Robert.

    Could try using the Set Msg and Set Notice commands at the outset of your BR?
    IE:
    SET NOTICE HIGH;
    SET MSG DETAIL;
    as per
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/html_esb_techref/calc/set_msg.htm
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12032_01/doc/epm.921/html_techref/calc/set_notice.htm
    You might already be aware of these or they might not get you exactly what you want, but may be worth a shot....

    Hi DK2010,
    I took some test that the data dict(dba_rule_sets/dba_evaluation_contexts) no any data returned after I had removed the job.
    So I tried to create evaluation context and re-executed script(only exception setion.) the first error has gone. For the second still have some issue.

  • Why do my rules fail in the data flow from connector view to Meta view?

    I have Meta directory 5.0 alongwith the iplanet Directory Server 5.0 installed which is working fine.
    I have created an instance of NT Domain Connector which retrieves entries in a Connector view.
    Where do I get the examples about writing the data flow rules for the NT Domain Connector for flowing specific entries from CV to MV. Basically I do not want the NT Groups in the MV. Also I want to create an additional attribute e.g myflag whose value should be updated manually in the CV. And now if myflag = 0 I dont want this entry to be moved to MV and if myflag = 1 the entry should be moved to MV.
    I tried to write a few rule but it fails in testing only (Rule Tester). And I am not able to locate the exact error in my rule. Does it require any specific configuration ?
    Thanks
    Amol Talap

    You should post your rule.
    But either way, have you tried this:
    (objectclass==ntuser) or
    (objectclass!=groupofuniquenames)
    The first set allows only entries that are user.
    The second allows only entries that are not groups.
    As for the flags, try this:
    (myflag==1) or
    (myflag!=1)
    Same effect as above.
    Further more if rule testing fails, it could that you are not referencing the right Directory when using the rule tester. The rule tester does not always point to the right location.

  • BM39 rules fail for NDS objects

    On BorderManager 3.9 the NDS object rules don't seem to be working for me.
    For my test, I created a rule to allow http originating from a specific IP
    address on my network. Yes, I can browse to http://www.google.com
    Changed the rule from IP address to the user NDS object. Had to 'Apply
    Changes' twice before it took effect (but that's a different bug). Now I
    get 403 forbidden trying to browse to google.
    Changed the rule back to source ip address, rather than nds object. Applied
    Changes twice. Browsing works again.
    clntrust.exe is running on the browsing PC. It does not show that any
    failed requests occurred.

    oops. Found my mistake.
    During an earlier phase of my testing, I'd gone into BorderManager / Proxy
    Services and turned off 'Authentication Context' HTTP Single Sign On.
    Turned that back on and applied changes twice.
    Works now.

  • Orchestrator - Add Collection Rule - Direct Rule fails

    I am trying to use Add Collection Rule in Orchestrator and add a computer to a collection using Direct Rule.

    Hi,
    Just tested it myself it works fine with a NetBios name, if I use a FQDN it fails. The documentation also indicates NetbiosName or ResourceID should be used.
    You can see it in the error you get as well, ObjectInfo = "SELECT * FROM SMS_R_System WHERE NetbiosName
    = \"\"Comp1.dev.com\"\"";

  • Applying new access rules fails.

    Netware 6.5 SP6 BM 3.9
    Ok, new problem. I am trying to add some new access rules to the list in a particular container. When I have defined the rule and click apply I get the following message - Unknown system error. This doesnt happen on the other container which already has rules defined in it. Are the rules from the higher level container being propogated down the tree as I assumed they would be ?
    ---treename 2 explicit deny rules for the whole company
    ------it This container to be exempt. cant add rule to allow all.
    ------helpdesk
    ------etc
    Another aside seems to be that even though "Enforce Access Rules" is always on sometimes the rules do not work and sometimes they do.
    Any help much appreciated.
