Given up on Airdisks
I've tried to stay patient with the continual dropping off and inability to reconnect of the 2 Lacie disks connected to my AE, but I've now given up - will follow the threads here to see if things improve, but I'm not optimistic.
A great idea, whose time has not come.

Do not give up!...I had a simular problem and it turned out to be the via drivers not flushing hard drive cache at shut down. It happens to large SATA drives.
Go to microsoft.com and search the knowledge base for #331958...try to get windows up long enough to patch sp1 and then run the suggested patch. I really went through hell until I found this fix....

Airport 802.11n Disk - File Corruption!
I'm seeing occasional file corruption when using Apple Disk. After copying files to an Apple Disk using a Mac mini via Ethernet, the files are not the same.

Copying the file again usually results in a successful copy. Copying to a Samba share on a Linux server is 100% reliable, suggesting it's not a network issue.
I've tried two different USB enclosures with the same results. Both enclosures were problem free when directly connected to the Mac mini. The enclosure is connected to the base station with a Belkin hub.
Mac mini Mac OS X (10.4.9)I've given up with AirDisk. The file corruption was too serious to ignore. I've plugged the HFS+ disks into the Linux server, mounted them (Linux hfsplus filesystem driver) and shared them using Netatalk. It's not quite as elegant but it's much more reliable.

Figured Out Why AirDisk Shows No Files/Folders
I think I figured it out. Maybe I'm just an idiot or something, but I have Windows XP and gigantic music library. (About 100gb). When I plugged my hard drive into my Airport Extreme, I couldn't figure out why all of my home videos and pictures were showing up, and none of my music was visible.
Someone on this forum suggested that you transfer all of your files to your hard drive over the airport network. Which seems to work.
Until I came across folders with '&' signs in them. As soon as I would add a folder containing an ampere sign, everything in the folder that I was adding additional folders to would disappear.
I noticed this only happened with the ampere sign in the folder name. It doesn't necessarily happen with ampere signs in the file names.
I have Windows XP and this is fixing my problem. I'm going through and manually changing all of the ampere signs to the word 'and', and it's solving one of my problems.
Like I said, maybe I'm just a retard, but this is working for me. I'm still having problems with my Airport consistently dropping my connections (both ethernet and wireless) to my computers. If anyone has any information on why this might be happening, I'd be happy to know about it.

I'm more than frustrated with this product. I'll try to make this brief.
I purchased the new AEBS looking to be able to share a printer and an external hard drive between 3 computers. Two PCs and a G4 imac.
My problems began when I found that I couldn't see the 250gb of music, pictures, and home videos I have stored on my external. The first place I went to solve the problem was here. I found that many people have the same problem as me and the problem doesn't seem to have an official fix.
The only way I could find to remedy this issue was to follow advice given to others on this forum-- simply transfer files to the external drive over the AEBS network.
I'm doing that. I've been doing it for a few days. I'm only about halfway through because I'm getting a transfer rate of .5-1.5mbps. Which I find to be rather insane.
Also for the past few days, the Airport has been dropping its connection with all of my computers. Spontaneously. Not just the internet connection, everything. Even though the AEBS is displaying a green light, and a wireless connection looks to be available, the Airport Utility tells me that no AEBS is available to connect to.
The only way for me to remedy this is to unplug the AEBS and to plug it back in.
Remember me mentioning that I'm trying to transfer 250gb at around 1mbps over this network just to be able to USE the airdisk feature? Imagine doing that with the connecting continually dropping. Several times a day. In the middle of a 4 day long transfer. (Mind you, I'm connected via ethernet connection. And it's still dropping.)
This is ridiculous. I've contacted Apple support, they made me reset the fricken thing. Did nothing, as expected.
I find it insane that I have to spend 4 days transferring files from my hard drive over my Airport network just to be able to use them. And I find it even more insane that I have to unplug and plug in my AEBS each time I'd like to use it because at some point over the course of the day, it dropped my connection and it never came back.
I'm using WPA/WPA Personal, tried WEP, and it still drops.
Any advice?

But I'm still having weird issues with the airport dropping connections. I called apple support and was told to simply reset the AEBS. It did nothing, solved no problem I had and that was all they could do for me.
I'm still experiencing problems with the airport dropping my connections with my computers. As a matter of fact, the airport utility is currently reporting that there is no base station within range, yet it's allowing me to connect to the wireless network created by the base station and I'm still somehow able to surf the internet. It just claims there's no base station within range.
Is anyone else experiencing problems like this one? Does it seem like a problem worth an exchange? Or is this just a shotty quick release, fix later situation common to many AEBSs? -
Can Time Machine backup to an AirDisk in 10.5 Leopard?
Hi all
I'm getting confused as to whether this is possible or not? I've set up an air disk on my 5th gen Airport Extreme and have given it the Airport Extreme password access.
In Time Machine, having mounted the AirDisk, when I try to choose that drive to be the Time Machine drive it asks me for a username and password. The username is pre filled in my my short name, but what password do I use? The Airport Extreme one? Or my user one? When I try the former I get this "Keychain error -25307 occurred when creating a System Keychain entry for the Username "Tim" and URL "afp://...". When I try my account password it just says it's the wrong username and/or password...
But the annoying thing is that I'm sure I had it working at one point... Could I have done? Does Time Machine in Leopard backup to AirDisks? I've read that it doesn't.
Any help would be gratefully received as I'd really like to get this working!

Streaming DVD movies over Dual Band Airport Extreme Airdisk

This is my first post in the discussion forums. I have been a long time reading of the discussion forums. I recently bought a late 2009 dual band Airport Extreme base station. I have been trying to stream DVD movies (TS_VIDEO) using the Airdisk feature. What I did, as an experiment, was to hook up the dual band Airport Extreme to my 2009 Mac-Mini using an ethernet cable from the base station to the Mac-Mini. I enabled file sharing on the Airport extreme base station. I hooked an external hard drive to the base station via a USB port on the base station. I mounted the Airdisk on the Mac-MIni. When I play the ripped DVD movies (TS_VIDEO) from the Airdisk I get a lot of stuttering using Front-Row. According to the Apple customer service reps, this is normal behavior. Can anybody comment on if this is normal behavior.An uncompressed DVD should have a maximum data rate of around 6 or 7 Mbps and so be well within the nominal 300 Mbps of an 802.11n network - even allowing for the slower actual speeds attained due to networking overheads and weak signals. However, given that you have the latest Airport Extreme it sounds like you may be suffering from the common fault many are reporting in these forums, in which disk transfer rates are very, very slow over the 5GHz 802.11n connection. Look at some of the other threads here. It is clearly a fault in the current design (not a fault with your particular unit) and something that Apple are apparently aware of. Most are hoping it will be resolved in an updated firmware at some point in the future.
Edit: I just re-read your post and notice that you said you used a physical connection between the Airport and the Mac Mini. Thus no wireless involved. Nevertheless, others have reported poor data rates with disks connected to the unit, and so this may still be the issue. Check out some of the other threads here.

I am extremely disappointed and angry with Apple service. I am a writer and booked three weeks in Spain so that I could finish my book. On the second day my laptop cut out on me asI was working on it, so I took it to Goldenmack in Cadiz. Not only was I given someone else's macbook when I went back to collect it, but then when I returned to the UK, the Apple shop in Brighton managed to delete ALL my data from the hard drive because I was unlucky enough to get a trainee on her first day. I have since learned she should not have deleted my data without even running a diagnostic. She told me she was going to 'restore' the drive. I took this to mean she was going to restore my work. But no! She erased the lot.
I complained and eventually was put in touch with a supervisor, who I was told had authority to resolve the issue. She said she would get the shop to phone me. That was ten days ago and I'm still waiting.
Ok so there's nothing I can do now to get back the three chapters of my book that I have lost and didn't back up, but the hard drive on this laptop is still faulty. I try to back up my work every time I use the machine but as soon as I attach an external drive, the whole thing shuts down. I can't use it any more as I can't risk losing any more work. This laptop is only just over a year old and this is just not acceptable, especially since I have really looked after it.
This is an appalling service I have encountered from Apple, and I am not going to ignore it. I have contacted the young chap whose laptop I was erroneously given, and the repair of which I paid for! (although I did eventually get a refund), to ask him if he had been given mine as well. He said he had been completely unaware that his laptop had been given to me and he is furious as he had loads of "sensitive material" on it." I have no idea in whose hands my laptop has been either, or indeed what damage it sustained while it was supposed to be in for repair.Contact Apple Support:

Goto transaction MC.9, Give your Material and,Plant and the date which you need to know the closing stock. Do make sure that in the high and low values you are giving the same date there. I have been given permission for unlocking my iphone 3 GS from Orange. I want to set up the phone for my wife to use with a new number and carrier. Do I unlock under my itunes account first ( I now have a new iphone on this account) or set one up for her and then unlock the phone. I am worried about upsetting the new phone.
I would complete unlocking as is and then
restore as new once you know the iPhone is unlocked

When my children were younger, and needed more help and oversight, I had them purchase songs with my permission, often with gift cards that they had been given on various occaisions. Now, however, they both have laptops, they would like to split out "their" music and books, sync their Itouches to their own system, and I would love to have 9000 less Taylor Swift songs stored on my hard drive. Also, it seems that I can't set up independent Itunes accounts for them without a credit card, however they both get gift cards several times a year. A suggestion for this? It must happen to a lot of families. Thanks.
Unfortunately you cannot split (nor merge) items purchased with an AppleID. I am not clear on what you will have to do to allow them continued access to their music on your account. Apple no longer has DRM protection in its music but then I also hear people have all kinds of authorization issues when trying to synch so it sounds like they still keep restrictions on what you can do with the music when trying to move it about. I'll let somebody more experienced with syncing answer this part. You may have to authorize their computers and devices to your AppleID to allow them all functionality with the music.
Ideally you would have set them up with their own AppleIDs years ago but...

What is the format of the period date you want to get, is this date in the DB and you want to filter it based on the month and the given Date?
Did the month and given date are two parameters in the report? if possible, could you please provide some sample data in the DB and also the snapshot of the report structure
I assume you want to get the period date(mm/dd/yyy) between the select month(e.g:Feb) and the given date (10/1/2014) and you should get the date between(02/01/2014-10/1/2014).
If so,and you also have two parameter "Month","EndDate"(EndDate is the given date), please reference to details information below:
You can create an new parameter "BeginDate" (Date/Time) which is the begin date of the period, you can use the expression to get the value based on the value of the month and the year value from the given date,finally hide this parameter:
Specify the available value:

Start or Stop expression at a given frame?
hello to everyone on the support forum.
I searched the forum but wasn't able to find anything quite good for resolving the matter.
This is something that my IT group Charles Stinson, Nick Carangi, and Sandra Connor have been working on fixing for a while.
I'm getting into expression but the issue is that I am not able to start or stop an expression at a given moment.
I.E. If i want to wiggle(3, 10) until frame 100.
How can I set this up?

ITunes cannot locate my songs suddenly...it wants me to show it where each song is individualy. Otherwise, I cannot listen. It unchecked all the songs and when I rechecked them I filled with exclaimation points. I do have some songs but I dont know why.

The "!" show up when the song file or iTunes music folder is moved or manipulated in some manner, such as changing the folders location to a different drive. By any chance, did you do something like that?

My son got a new iPod and we created an account for him as a new user on my computer.
I've been having the same trouble ever since. My songs are disappearing & I get the exclamation point.
My son's library has disappeared completely and iTunes tries to reinstall every time we switch to his user name.
Did you do something similar? How do we fix this?

Well, it has been doing this randomly for some music that I have not touched or changed. In this instance I normally drop music I have put onto my computer in "my music" and then I take it to ITunes and drop it in. This most recent time I dropped into the "ITunes library" because I thought that this would help eliminate the issue of things getting lost. That made everything disappear. Luckily, I do have all of my music still in "my music" but i dont want to reapply ALL of the songs and if I cleared and started over I would be missing things. Is it fixable?

Have you tried the "add folder" function in iTunes to re-import back into iTunes? Sort of a mass re-import. Also, is there some reason specifically why you aren't ripping directly into iTunes, if that is what you are primarily using to manage your music?
Lastly, you have your OS listed as Windows ME. Are you sure because iTunes isn't compatible with ME?

I am having this same problem! Sorry for jumping in on your post. I recently moved all my music files (not the library file) to an external drive becuase i need more space for my music. now half of my library has these question marks. I dont want to lose my ratings or anything else. Is there a way to batch "original file can not be found"?
