Giving error in pl/sql while truncating need help

Hi Gurus,
I have a procedure to execute 5 truncate statements which is oftenly giving the error like "resource busy and acquire with nowait". I do not know the root cause of this. I tried with changing the scheduling time for that procedure eventhough it is giving the same error. Please suggest me. Advance Thanks.

Simple answer, some other process has a lock on the table and you are not allowed to truncate the table.
You can search the forum for the script to see who/what has the lock on the table. Here is one:

i have this laptop with win 7 installed. it worked fine,until i did one o cleaning procceses with TuneUp2009.
( i do it regulary every month and it was ok ) but now after tuneup2009 restarted my pc, on start up he show this stop error. STOP 0x000000F4.
I tried safe mode but is cannot acces,the same error code. i have tried to format my pc with a disc win7 but still no succes,

That is still not the complete model but gives me some idea of the age of the system. Can you get into the BIOS [F10] as you power on to try a hard drive test? The hard drive can get so corrupt it will affect all attempts at booting. I might also try removing the hard drive and see if it will then boot from CD or usb flash drive.

I see two issue with your Insert. 1) you need to specify the field names in the table, for example otype and objid. 2) You need to indicate in the VALUES that you're using host variables by using the prefix :.
I think the correct syntax is:
        EXEC SQL.
          INSERT INTO misuser.Table_4
         (otype, objid)
          VALUES (:wa_hrp1001-otype, :wa_hrp1001-objid)
        ENDEXEC.

Giving error of insufficient privileges while creating triggers

Hi all,
I am facing the problem of insuffcient privilege on base tables while creating triggers. I have three schemas say A, B, C in my database.
Base tables are in schema A. I have given all the grants on base table to schema B and C.
grant all on base_table_name to B;
grant all on base_table_name to C;
I have created synonym also on that base table.
And i m creating triggers in schema B.
When i execute the query for trigger the it giving following error :

ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
even i have checked in dba_tab_privs for that base_table.....it is showing all the grants to USER B and C.
What should I do now?

Privileges Required to Use Triggers
To create a trigger in your schema:
+•You must have the CREATE TRIGGER system privilege+
+•One of the following must be true:+
+◦You own the table specified in the triggering statement+
+◦You have the ALTER privilege for the table specified in the triggering statement+
+◦You have the ALTER ANY TABLE system privilege+
To create a trigger in another schema, or to reference a table in another schema from a trigger in your schema:
+•You must have the CREATE ANY TRIGGER system privilege.+
+•You must have the EXECUTE privilege on the referenced subprograms or packages.+
To create a trigger on the database, you must have the ADMINISTER DATABASE TRIGGER privilege. If this privilege is later revoked, you can drop the trigger but not alter it.
The object privileges to the schema objects referenced in the trigger body must be granted to the trigger owner explicitly (not through a role). The statements in the trigger body operate under the privilege domain of the trigger owner, not the privilege domain of the user issuing the triggering statement (this is similar to the privilege model for stored subprograms).
I have to grant only create any trigger to user.

what does this Error mean? MyCanvas is a inner class in KeyEventTest class. However, when I do "Build" and "Run" in Ktoolbar, It works perfectly.

JavaScript error while browsing. need help

While browsing any webpage running java. When asked a question. After I choose an answer. I receive this message "JavaScript&colon; An error occurred while executing a script." Can anyone help me with an update or something.

Looked up the problem. Response from Black berry support was that they know of the problem. There are certain scripts not yet supported by black berry. They are aware of this, and do not have a solution as of yet.

Acrobat Pro Ext 9 always crashes, error 147:6 (I'm traveling & need help!)

I installed (from CDROM) and activated Acrobat Pro 9 Extended a week or so ago on my laptop, Windows XP Pro. I used it several times without any problem. I left my home yesterday on a one month trip, mostly out of the US but in the US until tomorrow. So now it crashes.
I tried to Print to PDF yesterday from another program. Acrobat started to open then crashed. If I open it by itself, as soon as I try to do anything, even just Help/About Acrobat, it crashes with a message:
'You cannot use ... Repair by uninstalling or reinstalling .... 147:6 "
Even if I just open it and wait, within a little while it will crash. I've attached a screen copy of the exact image.
I don't travel with original cdroms, so I cannot simply uninstall and reinstall. Is there anything I can do or am I SOL?

If the seller was selling the software as new, that was probably just a scam or his source was unreliable.
For purchasing used software, it's possible the seller did not realize that the Acrobat had to be deactivated first. You could request verification of the deactivation prior to purchasing used software. That would at least allow you to make sure the seller understands that deactivation is necessary. The license is good for two computers and if it is installed on two computers, each installation would need deactivation, otherwise the buyer would be sharing a license and breaking the license agreement.
As for why the program ran for a bit, maybe there was temporarily one activation available for that serial number. The error message makes sense because a missing or corrupted serial number file would be replaced during reinstallation and reactivation.

Error when compiling AppleScript for CS2, need help

I've recently started learning AppleScript, and while I'm no stranger to programming I'm a little lost when it comes to errors like this one. I have both InDesign CS2 and InDesign CS3 installed so I'm not sure if my problem is caused by that, they were installed before I started working on this mac. I've also been recently upgraded from Tiger to Leopard, in case that might be a probable cause.
Basically, my problem stems from this:

When I try to compile this I get a Syntax Error that says "Expected end of line but found class name." and highlights "document". I've also had problems trying to use things like "page 1" or "view preferences" with similar errors. With the case of things like "page 1" I've had to replace it with "item 1 of pages" to get it to compile.
If I change it to "Adobe InDesign CS3" it works fine, but I need to compile for CS2 for backwards compatability. Strangely, this method works:

Does this mean my CS2 dictionary is broken? I can view it fine from the Script Editor, and I've seen things like "active document" used in example scripts, so this syntax error is confusing me.

I'm not sure why you're getting that error, but a couple of things:
Using "document 1" instead of "active document" is not a bad habit,
because there are cases where active document doesn't work.
When you compile the scripts, the version is somewhat irrelevant -- when
you go to run them, they look for a running application of the same creator
code, and use that. It's a bit like when you double-click on a document in
the Finder -- it doesn't matter what version of ID you made it in, it will
try to open in whatever version is running first.

SSRS 2008 Created Commssion Report, now getting error message when I run this ( need Help)

in SSRS 2008 2 years ago created Commission with sub reports added, it was working fine, some how started to get error
message when we entered some invoice # see below screen shot of error message
but same time if I enter different invoice # it process the report without any error message , donot understand the problem
what's causing this issue, I have looked each sub report,
can some one suggest any idea,
I have spent hrs to figure it out, no luck so far.

theURL and dt are dynamically created with the info returned from the consent token. This process fine and they are what they should be. But there is a difference between versions that is throwing it off. My theory is that it is a charset issue. I ran into similar with Gmail Contacts API on CF7 v CF8. I was able to get that resolved by using: charset="utf-8". However, that doesn't work for Live. <cfhttp url="#theURL#" method="get" result="httpResult" charset="utf-8">.
I have tried about every combination I can think of but still get a connection error. On CF8 servers (tested on two different ones) it worked perfect.
In googling and looking at forums, I notice this in reference to an SSL issue. I don't think that is the case here, as one of my servers doesn't have an SSL in use that would affect things. But, it is in a hosting environment, so maybe.
I think I am missing something small or some combination of headers or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated...and maybe ever rewarded with a Starbucks GC! If you have any questions or need any more info let me know.

Sql injection attack - need help changing ASP code

Our web server was attacked yesterday by SQL injection. So I
quickly learned about the holes in the code that was generated by
Dreamweaver MX 2004.
I found the help article on the Adobe website to fix the ASP
code; however I need more information for my particular case. I
don't know how to get my cursor type and location settings into the
new code.

The new snippet is not vulnerable to SQL injection. It uses a
command
object and actual defined parameters, so you're safe. You
cannot change the
cursor type or location on that object.

Getting tdb_link error : Signal ( 11 ) !!! Need Help !!

C++ 4.2 has been obsolete since about 1998, is End Of Service Life, and no support is available for it. In addition, C++ 4.2 does not work on recent versions of Solaris.
What version of Solaris are you using? You can find out by running the command
uname -a

EMac 10.2.8 error during upgrade to 10.3, need help

I have a eMac PowerPC G4 with 10.2.8. Using Mac OS X Panther 10.3 discs (3 discs, Install Disc 1, 2, and 3), I attempted to upgrade. I backed-up everything on my computer and then pop-ed in Panther disc 1. It did its thing and then a prompt asked for me to insert disc 2. I did and installation started okay. Then it stopped and said "There were errors installing the software." It gave me no options but to quit. When I open "About This Mac" it says the computer op system is 10.3.
What to do? Is my computer half installed, trapped in this world and the next? What should my next steps be?

I'll suggest two options:
1. Erase the drive and restore your old system from the backup. Before attempting to reinstall OS X Panther do the following:
Boot from your OS X Installer. Be sure to use the installer for the version of OS X you have installed. After the installer loads select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (or Utilities menu if using Tiger.) After DU loads select your OS X volume from the list on the left, click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now proceed with installing OS X Panther using the Upgrade option or the Archive and Install option.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (3.0.3 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.1.1 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Do the following:
a. Boot from your Panther installer Disc 1. After the installer loads select Disk Utility from the Installer menu.
b. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
c. Set the number of partitions from the dropdown menu (use 1 partition unless you wish to make more.) Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the volume(s) mount on the Desktop.
d. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
e. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
f. Click on the Erase button. The format process will take 30 minutes to an hour or more depending upon the drive size.
g. When the formatting is completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed to do a clean install of OS X.
h. Once you complete the installation download and install the 10.3.9 Combo Updater from Apple.
i. After installing the combo updater you can transfer your personal files from your backup. I would recommend re-installing your third-party software being careful to install only those that are known to be compatible with Panther. Otherwise get upgrades to Panther compatible versions.
I highly recommend the second option because it will provide a clean system from the start without any possible problems associated with upgrading over an older system that could be corrupted.

Error in Scenario Manager...Need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have an SDL Remove Item.Whenever ,Session ends,an action Remove Item gets invoked which deletes all the item from the cart.This issue is only happening in prod env which is clustered one.
its not happening in development env.

We are getting below error:
Error     Sun Sep 02 04:08:49 CDT 2012     1346576929658     /atg/scenario/ScenarioManager     Error while processing individual event message of type atg.dps.EndSession; rolling back the transaction     atg.process.ProcessException: Cannot obtain a subject required for an individual process execution context, from either the current request or message bean EndSessionMessage[profileId=null,sessionId=R-E6wcnQONJS9yrAIrfpnQ**.p_dotcom1, profile=Profile[null]]If you look into the error details you will see that the profileId and profile are null within the EndSessionMessage and that is what causing this issue. Because of profile being null ScenarioManager is not able to associate the "subject" (which typically would be the current user profile) with the process execution context that ScenarioManager is trying to create on receiving the event message. You can probably check how you get the profile in the environment where it works for you.

Cannot Migrate SQL Server Adventureworks Need Help

Has anyone been able to migrate Adventureworks from SQL Server 2005 to Oracle? I've been trying but keep getting errors in the "Build" step.
I would appreciate any help.

The AdventureWorks example database in SQL Server relives heavily on the XML syntax within their stored procedures, functions, views. AdventureWorks example database was written to showcase new features of SQL Server 2005.
XML syntax is not currently handled by the T-SQL Translator, as for our initial releases we want to concentrate more on the more widely used syntax.
If your own database relies heavily on XML syntax then you will have to manually modify those statements.
If on the other hand your just trying out the SQL Developer Migration Workbench can I suggest using the Northwind example database.
