GL account mapping

I have an GL account that represents a recent bond issue and there is an uploaded csv file with all the account groups and ranges defined to which it should be on. After realising that my report amounts were incorrect because of this account not being mapped, I added the account to the csv file and full load was run. This morning I checked to see if it worked but I am still getting a message under group account name that configuration mapping is still required for this specific bond issue account. On the rpd end I have a default initializer BOND_ISSUE which represents the group account name - and this is what should pick up the amount that is not showing on the report. I am trying to get the GL amounts from the source to reflect for this new account. If there is anyone who can provide any form of help- i will be greatly appreciative, thanks

Neetu,
There are two ways to handle this, you could choose User defined CoA when you create the company and then import the legacy CoA.
Otherwise if you use the Standard CoA for your localization then mapping is more of a task for the accounting department rather than anything else?

  • Sharing the same account mapping in 2 different locations

    I am using FDM (version 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.2.1).
    Hi Expert,
    I would like to ask about sharing the same mapping in multiple locations. Currently, I have 3 (or more later) locations in FDM. I have a set of account mapping which I would like to maintain it as a master copy and apply this account mapping to all 3 of my locations in FDM. I figured that I need to upload the account mapping everytime switching between locations.
    I know that for logic group, I can assign the same logic group to multiple locations by updating the properties in "Locations" under "MetaData".
    Is it possible to do the same thing for account mapping? e.g. upload only 1 set of account mapping and assign multiple location to it?
    Thank you!

    Choose one of the locations and assign it as the Parent location for the other 2 locations on the Locations metadata screen. These locations will then share the mapping of the parent location and you only need to maintain the mappings in the parent location.

  • User and Accounts mapping

    Hi All,
    we created Users and Accounts using RIDC.
    Now need to map user Account mapping programmatically.
    Let me know any suggestion.
    Thanks to all.

    Hi ,
    Infact while creating the user itself this could have been done using the following :
    ADD_USER with the following parameters :
    HDA format with optional parameters:
    @Properties LocalData
    IdcService=ADD_USER
    dName=jsmith
    dUserAuthType=LOCAL
    dFullName=Jennifer Smith
    dPassword=password
    dEmail=[email protected]
    @end
    @ResultSet UserAttribInfo
    2
    dUserName
    AttributeInfo
    jsmith
    role,admin,15,role,contributor,15
    @end
    Now that the users are all created you will need to use the EDIT_USER service call to add accounts to the users :
    The format for doing this is described with the mandatory and optional parameters : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e11011/c04_core.htm#CSSRG2678
    Hope this helps .

  • Product Category and GL account mapping

    Hi
    We are using SRM 4.0 with ECS scenario.
    Would like to know, whether the Product Category and GL account mapping we do in SPRO is restricts the user to use the same GL account mapped against the product category or it is just a defalut and can it be changed while making PO or SC.
    Thanks

    Hi
    <u><b>This is standard SAP functionality.</b></u>
    <u>The same GL account mapped against the product category, is just a default and it can be changed while making PO or SC. This is not hardcode as such. We emphasize here that we should follow the same GL account and Material Group combination as determined in R/3, the same combination GL and Product caategory needs to be made in SRM as well. (Since finally the PO will get created in r/3, where all the same validation will take place, at the creation of PO from SRM).</u>
    <b><u> The table which holds the data for
    "Define G/L Account for Prod Cat and A/C Assignment Cat" is BBP_DET_ACCOUNT and it holds data in similar manner.</u></b>
    1. Either using the SPRO path
    SPRO-> Account Assignment -> Define G/L Account for Prod Cat and A/C Assignment Categories
    2. Or using SM30 transaction for the table - BBP_DET_ACCOUNT table
    3. Use BADI - BP_DETERMINE_ACCT -> To change GL accordingly as per your logic.
    The SRM G/L account is working on a linkage between product category and account category (cost center, project, asset...) that give you the default G/L account. If this very simple equation does not fit your requirement, you can use badi BBP_DETERMINE_ACCT to implement your own equation.
    <b>Hope this will definitely help. Do let me know.</b>

  • MAC: Subaccounts Description in Account Mapping

    In the account structure used, the subaccount segment is dependent on the account segment. When selecting a certain account it should display only the subaccounts defined for this account (the regular behaviour in Oracle Financials and SCM)
    But in OPM MAC, upon defining an account combination for an account title:
    (N) Setup> Mapping> Accounts> Account Mapping,
    All the values and description of Subaccounts defined in the CoA for all accounts are displayed together in LoV (e.g., you will see 001 defined for account 11019, then 001 defined for account 13065, etc.,)
    If you select the right account with the right subaccount, the description of subaccounts (in forms and reports) is always the description of the first subaccount in the LoV (e.g., if you select account 13065 with Subaccount 001, the description displayed is this of the subaccount 001 which defined for account 11019 because its the first 001 in the LoV).
    Any help to separate the subaccounts and make them read the correct description?

    Hi
    Account dependencies is not handled in OPM. So I am not sure if that can be helpfed. However, regarding the descriptions I suggest you raise an SR or search metalink for some existing patch

  • Country chart of accounts mapping to operational chart of accounts

    Hi All,
    We intend to use country specific chart of accounts to one of our company code along with operational chart of accounts. We try to map 1 operational G/L account to a group of country G/L accounts, system not allowing doing this, understanding it allows only 1:1 mapping.
    Is there any work around to achieve this?
    Requirement at country COA level, G/L accounts should be created and reported by Department: e.g.
    Salary u2013 Finance u2013 600100
    Salary u2013 R/D u2013 600110
    Salary u2013 Marketing u2013 600120
    The same way for couple of P&L accounts to be created, but in operational COA we do have only one expense or revenue account these are used across the globe (all company codes).
    I heard that, it is possible in SPECIAL PURPOSE LEDGER, creating new ledger and assigning the country specific chart of accounts, inputting some validation to achieve this purpose.
    Simulating the purpose, with an example; during posting, where Operational COA G/L ACCOUNT equals to specific COST CENTER check FUNCTIONAL AREA and pick the appropriate country COA G/L ACCOUNT .
    Substitution for Validation; Functional Area = Country Specific G/L Account
    Currently Iu2019m using the mySAP and using New G/L (not document split), would like to achieve the Special Purpose Ledger functionality by creating a new ledger type in New G/L to map country specific chart of accounts to operational chart of accounts (N:1).
    Please share any other alternatives avail to achieve this.
    The reports are needed by functional area,
    Balance sheet by functional area G/L accounts (country specific COA)
    (Figured some difficulty to assign functional area to G/L accounts, though I have cost of sales accounting is activated)
    T/B by functional area G/L accounts (country specific COA)
    Journals by functional area G/L accounts (country specific COA)
    Document line items by functional area G/L accounts (country specific COA)
    Please try to share you thoughts and advice on this.
    Thanks.
    Vyas

    Dear  Vyas,
    We have similar requirement as yours
    Requirement at country COA level, G/L accounts should be created and reported by Department: e.g.

    Salary u2013 Marketing u2013 600120
    I would like to know how are u handling this situation.

  • GL account mapping issue when run RPDKON00

    Hi experts,
    I got this problem with a new mapping that i made for a GL account.
    the WT X was linked to a symbolic account 2170 (begda 1800 - endda 9999) with a GL account C0000, but the new mapping needed that that same WT X be linked to a new GL account C1111... therefore i create a new symbolic account 2175 and delimited the WT X as follow:
    WT X / Symb. Acct 2170 (F) / 01.01.1800 ~ 01.29.2011 >>> WT X / Symb. Acct 2175 (C) / 01.30.2011 ~ 12.31.9999
    When i run the report RPDKON00 in the fields i enter 10 | WT X | 100 but the result do not show the assignment of the GL account, just shows 3 question marks '???'
    example:
    WType Assignment
                10 USA
           -    WT X
                -    Symb Acct 2175
                     -    1 Direct Labor
                           -    Comp Code 100
                                 > ??? (here is where the GL account should appear)
    When i run the same report but with the key date before 01.29.2011 the GL account is shown
    Please expert, i will appreciate your help with this item.
    Note: the configuration worked fine in HD6 010 but when the transport was moved into HD6 210 here is where the assignment is missing.

    Hi Ted,
    Forgive my late response regarding your suggestion... i research more about this problem and figured it out that the thing missing here was that FI (ECC System) needed to have the configuration for the new symbolic account... after doing this everything worked perfect.
    Again, i appreciate your quick answer and suggestion.

  • GL Account Mapping After Upgradation

    Hi Friends,
    My requirement is as fallows anybody give some suggestion on this how to solve this issue:
    When I have decided to shift the Fiscal year from mid calendar year to year end for AE, it was decided that we need to do a new implementation instead of an upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6. Thus the old 4.6C will be an archived system ending 31.12.2007 for reference and the new ECC6 system starts from 01.01.2008 for production transactions. The BI is the system which links both the 4.6C and ECC6 for management reports.
    With the event of this new implementation of ECC6, AE has decided to restructure the GL account codes. The GL accounts will be assigned new numbers on the ECC6 systems. This is to allow for standardization and to cater for the ACM's current and future business needs.
    If AE is to generate financial reports spanning 5 years, this would mean that, for example, 4 years from the 4.6C (old GL account numbers) and 1 year is from the ECC6 (new GL account numbers). It is not able to consolidate the 5 years figures as the GL accounts (although for the same purpose) have different numbers. That's when this mapping comes in, to map the old account to the new account.
    siri

    And your questions is what?
    What problems have you got? or have you actually thought this through or put your managers request directly on this forum for free consulting advice?
    If it were me I would look at taking in the mapping tables and either remodelling all the data in all the cubes (this is a HUGE project) by reading the new GL accounts
    Now - depending on how they do take on data is how you will need to remodel the data
    You WILL have duplicated data - as they will need to get opening balances into the new ECC6 system and these balances already exist in the old ERP system and thus in BW
    So the first question is how are they going to actually going to restructure the ledger and how are they doing it? journals into period 0 etc?
    IF you dont know this then whatever technical solutions are proposed are irrelevant - what does you FI BW consultant say - he/she will know the effect of the different scenarios

    Dear expert
          we have two types of symbolic accounts in payroll,
    1) expense account: it is denoted by C, which will be
    created by going to T.CODE OBYE,
    2) balance sheet/ liable account: which is denoted by F, it
    is created by going T.CODE OBYG.
    You can go through the below forum,
    symbolic accounts
    Extra information
    Symbolic accounts are the link between the payroll and finance sections of SAP.
    Every wage type which posts from payroll to the finance section of SAP, needs to do so via a symbolic account that has been defined in table T52EK. So every posting wage type must be assigned to a symbolic account. Table T52EL_COMP is very useful when maintaining the mapping between wage types and symbolic accounts, it shows every wage type and where it points to. Wage types will only appear in this table if they are first entered into table T52EZ, which specifies which wage types should post to the finance section using date parameters.
    A symbolic account can have limitless wage types pointing at it, this means that if, for example, you have 3 wage types that post to the same GL account, they could all point to the same symbolic account.
    A wage type can point at more than one GL account, this is necessary when posting wage types such as Employeru2019s NIC and Employeru2019s Pension Contributions for example. The way to handle such cases is to have the same wage type posting to one GL account as a debit and another as a credit, hence not affecting the overall balance of the posting document.
    When specifying the link between symbolic accounts and GL accounts in the relevant IMG step, selecting u2018Rulesu2019 at the top of the screen gives you various options for your symbolic accounts.
    u2022 By selecting the check box u2018Employee groupu2019, it is possible to use the same symbolic account to point at different GL accounts according to the Employee Grouping. This means that the same wage type can post to different GL accounts according to the Groupings specified in table T52EM and the rules specified in feature PPMOD. N.B. Only wage types that have the u2018MOMAGu2019 (Account determination dependent on employee grouping) box selected in table T52EK will be dependent on Employee Grouping.
    u2022 By selecting the check box Debit/Credit, it is possible to have the same symbolic account pointing at a separate GL accounts for debits and credits.
    A word of warning however, if you are changing the rules for your symbolic accounts you will lose all your current entries mapping symbolic accounts to GL accounts, so be very sure of what you are doing and do not play around with this IMG step.
    A very useful tool when customizing the settings for the Payroll and FI integration is the u2018Check Consistency of Customizingu2019 step of the IMG. This report shows which GL account each wage type will post to, if there are any wage types that are not pointing at a GL account via a symbolic account then the report will show u2018??????u2019.If u2018??????u2019 appears, then there is an error in the customizing and you will receive an error when you try and post the wage type. A common reason for u2018??????u2019 appearing in the report when the configuration has been finished is that a symbolic account has been specified as an expense account in table T52EK, for example, but has been pointed at a balance sheet account in relevant step of the IMG.

  • Asset ledger to general ledger account mapping

    Hi,
    Please check transaction AO90. Here you'll assign the GL accounts to post the acquisitions and depreciations and loss/gain on asset sale and scrapping.
    This account determination you maintain in asset master while creating the asset. So the GL's are defaulted for assets.

  • List of GL accounts mapped against Material

    Hi
    I want the List of Materials mapped against which GL accounts.
    Can anybody help me out.
    I will assign the points.
    Regards
    Kshipra G

    Hi ,
    There is no assignment like material to GL account in standard SAP. Every materials have it is own valuation class based valuation type ( Valuation classes vary for each valuation type). In Customization ,you can assign GL accounts against valuation classes.
    First go to MBEW table and enter all material codes and execute where you can get the valuation classes against material codes.
    Take that valuation classes and go to T030* Table where you can get the list of GL accounts.Like all BSX means :- Balances sheet inventory posting GL's ,WRX means :- GRIR Accounts.

  • Sub Bank accounts mapping with main Bank account

    Bank accounts
    Hi
    How can we will map with main bank account to sub bank accounts.
    Example; My main bank account: 1111, and
                              Sub bank account :  2222 ( Deposit account)
                              Sub bank account: 3333 (Cheque issue account)
    Regards
    PVC

    Hi
    Bank account-  This is the G/L account that you provide at the Housebank level configuration in FBZP.
    Sub account - This is the G/L account which you provide in the Bank Determination level in FBZP
    Now conceptually there are many transactions which need to be routed through clearing accounts. This is where the sub accounts come handy and are used for clearing purposes. they are open item managed accounts. So clearing is possible. In the end the main bank account tallies with your bank balance and moreover the clearing accounts become zero after all clearing has happened.
    Moreover the best way to maintain the G/L in SAP would be
    XXXX0 as the Main account
    XXXX1 say outgoing checks
    XXXX2 say outgoing wires
    Hope this clarifies
