Global Employement Queries

Hi,
When I tried implementing global employment in the initial stage itself I am facing the below issue:
1)
When I am trying to maintain 710 Infotype for the host personnel number the system is giving the below error:
The infotype is not accessible.( I am getting the same error for all MGE Infotypes)
I have checked the activated of below switches
CCURE GLEMP (Global Employee solution)
CCURE PIDGN (defines which rule to generate PersonIDu2019s -
This switch is set to 1 ( Is this the reason for the above problem?)
CCURE PIDSL (to activate selection using PersonID)
2) In MGE Process, when ( In which Action) 0709 will be linked ? At which point Personnel no are linked?
3) I understood the concepts but not getting how to implement and process of creating and testing the data in this module.
Please help in getting the clear understanding of configuring and creating data for MGE.

Try to activate gobal employee management via transaction SFW5.
Most probably you are missing step when generation of Infotypes takes place.

Infotype 0105 u2013subtype 0001 is maintained with SAP name: PTESTUSER5 - with both US and German country specific roles.
DO I need to maintain any other infotypes?
I created US role and German role and attach to user id PTESTUSER 5
Could you tell where exactly I need to maintain country grouping to the iView application parameter?
When I loged into Portal as PTESTUSER 5, am able to see two ESS Roles!!!!
Configuration for Assigning CE/GE Group Definition Settings to ESS applications:
Requirement: The employee of PERNR: 30000301, when he logs into portal and select the Personnel Information Bank Details, a dialog box should open with his 2 personnel assignment.
In ECC for his both Personnel Assignment, Infotype Bank is maintained.
In configuration: Assigning CE/GE Group Definition Settings to ESS applications
I need to maintain the Bank details for country US and Germany rite?
For US the following entry is already available and for Germany I configured as below

How can we generate Global Employee ID's?, and how can we assign our Employees to the Global Employee ID?

Hi Sushma,
You can maintain global employement by using infty 0709, i.e., PERSON ID.
You can store it manual;y, and for generation their is one FM "HR..."

Infoset --- Global & Standard Areas

Dear All,
(1) When I do changes in Infoset [sq02 ], by opening in "Global Area" then it is asking for a request, but for the same infoset, it is not prompting for the "Standard Area".....why like this so........?
(2) How to save the Infoset changes made by keeping in "Standar Area".

The standard query area is intended primarily for use with ad-hoc queries, that is for queries that are created for a specific one-off purpose and never used again.
Hence queries in the standard area are client-specific.
There is no connection to the Workbench Organizer as we there is no need to transport them to another system/client.
In the global area queries are created not only for use in a single system, but also for transporting to other systems.
The queries in the global area are therefore client-independent.
Query objects created in the global area are registered in the Workbench Organizer. They are created and transported using the normal correction and transport procedure.

Programs generated using ABAP query vanishes after upgrade

Hi all,
The programs generated using abap query in sq01 vanishes after upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 system.
Is this a know issue, do we have a solution for this?

Hi,
Try to generate the Queries again in the new system...using the FM : RSAQ_GENERATE_PROGRAM
The input needed is the Query name and the usergroup...The details can be obtained from the table AQLQCAT(local queries areas) and AQGQCAT(global areas queries).
Once you generate the query , a program gets created...
if you have lots of queries to be genretated, write a custom report by fetching the data from the above tables and use the FM to generate the same...

BW Reporting: Security Authorizations

I am looking to see if it is possible to create a role in BW that would allow the following:
-Execute all published queries
-Create new queries, but only save locally (or to favorites)but not publish globally
-Modify published queries, but save only locally (or to favorites)
The role would not have access to create and publish globally new queries or modify and save globally to any existing queries.

Create a role using Transaction PFCG and create an Authorization Profile.
To Execute all published Queries
Add the Reporting Authorization Objects
S_RS_COMP: Infoarea, Infoprovider, Reporting Component.
If you want the user to execute all queries
Maintain this settings

To Create and Change Queries, you've to also include those Activities in the Activity field for the Authorization objects. But I think that will affect globally.

This Authorization object grants access to data held in the Infoprovider. For ODS you've to use S_RS_ODSO and for cube you've to use S_RS_ICUBE.
Maintain the settings.
For Reporting users, the activities 03(Display) and 16(Execute) are the minimum required.

To Save Workbooks to Favourites
For this you've to include the Authorization Objects
S_GUI: Authorization for GUI Activities.
Activity: Import and Export(For saving and for opening)

In addition to these, You've to include the authorization objects S_RFC and S_TCODE(Transaction: RRMX) and maintain the required settings.

Installing MP,DP and SUP in DMZ for IBCM

Hi all,
I would like start installing MP, DP and SUP role in my DMZ to support IBCM. My DMZ is in the same forest but in different and untrusted domain. The primary site and Enterprise Root Certificate (CA) are in the same domain (intranet). An admin account
has been created in DMZ domain so the above roles can be installed from primary site server. I am still not too sure how I will install Cert that I created on root CA that is on intranet. Do I need to export it from Intranet and import back on the new site
server in DMZ or use a different method?
If the question is too confusing then please give your experience as how you have installed certificate on your site server (DMZ) for IBCM?
Are you using primary server computer account for installing site roles in DMZ or a user account?
Do I need to publish site information in DMZ domain as well?

This is not possible. By definition, all domains in a forest trust each other -- maybe not directly, but they do trust each other.
Also, the new system in the DMZ will not be a "site server", it will be a site system (sometime called a site system server but not usually). This may seem like semantics, but its very important because "site server" means something very
specific which the site system in the DMZ is not.
Deploying certs in the DMZ can be done in one of many ways. You really should get a PKI smart person involved though because it's not ConfigMgr task. There are ways to deploy certs cross-domain and cross-forest using group policy auto-enrollment but these
take setup and configuration on the PKI side. Alternatively you could use web enrollment on your CA is it is setup and has the proper templates available -- once again, that will take setup and configuration on your PKI. Finally, you could just use the command-line
assuming the cert templates are accessible for the system in the other domain.
For your scenario, you should be able to grant the site server's computer account local admin permissions on the DMZ site system. Don't forget about the FSP which can be very valuable for IBCM but will require and additional site system because it must be
left to listen for HTTP traffic.
Finally, publishing site information to the domain allows clients to locate the MP on the intranet however your clients won't be on the intranet to use location information, so that wouldn't help much. Additionally, clients use global catalog queries to
perform their site location so within a forest, there is no need to publish the same informatin to mutliple domains (unless you have multiple sites which you do not).

BW user query cleanup

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know if it is possible to create a list of (global) user queries in order to clean up the list a bit.
Is there a report which gives out a similar result or is there a table where global query names and properties are saved?
And is there a way to delete these queries in bulk also after unnecessary are identified?

Text Maintenance behind IT0002 and IT0009

Hello,
We got a requirement to enable the Text Maintenance for IT0002 and IT0009.
When going to SPRO -> Personnel Management ->Personnel Administration -> Customizing Procedures -> Infotypes -> Infotypes -> IT02 the Copy Infotype box is checked. When trying to uncheck the Copy Infotype box and check the Text allowed box and save I am getting the following error hard error
Text maintenance not permitted as infotype part of Data Sharing (T582G).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Aranka,
You are getting this error because these infotypes have an entry in T582G (shared infotype) in your system. When infotype are shared then the maintenance of text for these infotypes is not allwed, thus the error message in T582A.
No if you do not need this infotype to be shared (if you are not using concurrent employment/or global employement) then you can remove these entries in T582G, then you will be allowed to select the text maintenance check box.

Cannot enter Foreign Address in ESS

Hello Gurus,
We are working on ESS for Global employees. Activated all Global employement related switches, enviornment is 6.4, also made some enteries to table V_T7XSSPERFORADD to be able to get foriegn address dropdown activated.
I donot understand where are we going wrong.
also not able to find " Maintain Foreign Address Settings" in any of the SPRO nodes. What might be the problem, can anyone help

Thank you for the reply, but we had already checked regarding all these three notes with the basis team, the team is not able to find the notes number. one reason might be because these notes implies to enhancement pack 3 but we have already upgraded to 4
while looking for notes yesterday they found "SAPK-60318INEAHRRXX" package but the name was "60408INEAHRRXX"
can you suggest how to check whether all the notes of 603 are embeded in 604 rechecked with basis but they are not able to find the particular note. and they keep on saying tht 604 is embeded on 603 so should include. seems logical.
i thing there might be some silly problem with some screen or something, Any SUGGESTIONS?

Sorry, but you must be mistaken. The defaul PCI Express Frequency is 100 MHz. Setting it to 200 would most certainly kill your board or the video card.

That is normal. Please clear CMOS with the main A/C power cable removed from your PSU and load "Optimized Defaults" in BIOS Setup. Under no circumstances should you raise the PCI-E Frequency to 200 MHz. That's is what you do if you want to actually kill something.

Initiating Global creation activity by quering a database table.

I want to start the BPM process using
a) Use a query result for the initial global creation activity. ( -- I have an catalogued object which returns 'docNo' and 'status' column values from a database query already.)
How do I do this piece wherein I call the automatic activity from the global creation activity.
I want the
b) User clicks on the Review Claim link to pull up the claim to approve the claim. -- secondary part ( use the docNo to pull up claim detail from the database and present in the form for approval)
So there are 2 parts, List the claims awaiting approval and then the individual approval.
How do I get the user to log into a BPM workspace ( login screen) and get a list of claims for approval.

Looks like part of your thread was cut off. This is mostly to see if I might be able to fill in the blanks.
I'm guessing you are thinking about using a Global Creation activity to perhaps bring up a list of claims and that the row or rows returned from the database could each create a separate new work item instance. Did I get that right?
If that's correct, don't use a Global Creation. Instead use a Global Interactive to display the rows. For each row approved an new work item instance might then be created in the process for each one you approved. You'd use a Screenflow behind the Global Interactive. Inside the screenflow you'd have an automatic task to retrieve the rows from the database. This would then flow to a Interactive task inside the screenflow that has been assigned a BPM Object presentation to display the rows inside a Group. You'd then follow this with another automatic task that looks at the Group (array) of items selected in the UI and then programmatically create a work item instance for each one selected.
