Gmail password invalid even though it isn't

I've just downloaded Thunderbird & tried to create an account with my gmail e-mail address, however thunderbird tell me my password is invalid (it's the same for my hotmail address)

Also make sure that an Apple ID is associated with your user account, and that an administrator has given you permission to reset your own password using an Apple ID. For more information, see this help topic:

How do I delete a file that says it's in use even though it isn't??!

Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me please! I'm being driven insane by a file on my Mac that I can't delete. It is a temp Illustrator file which created itself out os some tenuous necessity that I don't comprehend! When I try to send it to the trash a message comes up saying '+The operation can’t be completed because the item “AI Temp 0003560350” is in use+' even though it isn't! I have tried closing Illustrator to make doubly sure it isn't in use but it hasn't worked. I don't suppose it's very important to delete it but it's really bugging me!
Any advice much appreciated!

Its all good, TimN8128! Mrhelper is corret with regards to making sure that mobile data is turned off when on WiFi or when not connected to WiFi, if you do not want the phone to access data services to update or refresh app services. These applications can all be configured by going to Settings and reviewing all apps that appear in that area. You can also configure a bit further by going to Settings>Cellular.

Security Code Invalid even though it's correct

I recently bought an iphone 4S and entered my credit card info after my purchase and all was fine until about 10:00 the night before last when my phone said my security code was invalid. I later got a call from visa fraud protection services (due to purchasing 5 other phones, and a PS Vita) and after all that was cleared up I waited 12 hours and it still says my security code is invalid even though I have triple checked my info. This is getting rediculous it's reasons like this I switched to android a few years ago only to want more for my apple obsession and recently switching back to iphone (I love Siri BTW). Can anyone please help me with this problem?

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

I wouldn't be too concerned. The most likely cause is that someone is attempting to login and made a mistake in entering their Apple ID and typing yours instead. So, they are getting an error and offer to reset their password. But the email that generates is being sent to the real owner of the Apple ID they are entering, you. If you are really concerned, you can go to the Apple support site and reset your password yourself to be on the safe side.

Unable to connect mac OSX 10.4.11 to wireless network (virgin media) even though iPad, iPhone and laptop ok. Get message 'password incorrect' even though it works with other devices. Keep getting message connect to BT unrestricted access.

Keep getting 'do I want to connect to BT unrestricted network' which I have never used before. I can get my ISP details input but get message 'incorrect password' even though it works with 3 other devices. Excuse me barging in on the thread, but I have a lot of experience with Telus, and roaming with my BlackBerry (currently a Z10). In short, you've been fed some outdated info by the Telus rep. Telus has become very Android-centric, and it seems like a good number of Telus CSR's are still reading from a Legacy BlackBerry trouble-shooting guide.
My Z10 is unlocked, and I periodically use an AT&T sim when traveling in the US. I have never had to change an email setting to get full email function -- including the SMTP settings. To put it simply, your device first connects to a network using credentials provided. At most hotels, for instance, your device will scan for and pick up a WiFi network. The hotel will tell you the WiFi network name and give you a password to use. You simply enter the password when prompted, then you may have to agree to certain conditions. That's it.
Your email settings are just that. Using whichever network to which you are connected, the user name and password give you access. The settings coincide with the email provider's server settings. These don't typically change with the location from which you are connecting.

It helps you determine the possible settings for connecting to your email provider. Different providers offer different connection options, sometimes more than one. Opinions vary, but my preference in descending order is: ActiveSync, IMAP, then POP if required. ActiveSync (aka EAS) and IMAP will offer 2-way sync.

I can join the hotel's wifi on my iPad but the iPhone says the password is incorrect, even though it isn't.

This is driving me nuts. They've reset the router but that hasn't helped. I've tried so many times, yet still it keeps saying incorrect password, when it just isn't. Same problem with my wife's iPhone - and both are happy to join other wifi networks. Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Generally when attempting to join the public wifi at a hotel, it requires you to open a browser window to enter the username and password. Is that happening? Since it would affect all of your wifi settings, I'm hesitant to recommend going into Settings, General, Reset, Reset network settings, but that might be necessary. Have you tried to do a reset on the iPhone? Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release?. See if this helps.

Ok so here is the problem. I am having trouble connecting to wifi networks that are password secured. I am able to connect to public wifi with no problem, but when networks have passwords on them I am unable to connect to them, and I know that passwords. I also know that i am putting the correct passwords in because I am able to connect to the networks on my computer. I have tried turning my phone off and then back on, turning the wifi off and then back on and even resetting my network passwords to no avail. The networks that are secure show up in the wifi list for networks but when I go to put the password in, it tells me "incorrect password for the network". It has never connected to it since the passwords have been put on it. I am out of ideas for trouble shooting. Can anyone else help?!

Try a soft reset by holding in the power button and the home button in at the same time for about 15 seconds until the screen flashes and then goes completely black. Afterwards try and turn the phone back on and see if that works. Also you could try and reset the Network Settings by going to Settings--General--Reset--Reset Network Settings and see if that resolves your problems as well. If all else fails be sure and do a backup through ITunes and then try to restore the device. Hopefully all will be well now.

Had installed cs4 trial version, then tried to enter serial number, but it was invalid and now I can't seem to reinstall the trial version as I had been using, as it comes up serial number invalid even though I am just asking for a trial basis of 30 days.

does anyone know what to do next so I can continue to use the trial versions of cs4. It appears as I have been kicked out for good because I entered the serial number wrong. Spoke to a rep and they said this was not available to purchase online, as it is an older version, but I need the old version to use the halftone option they have on cs4. sure would appreciate some advice, thanks to anyone who might have the answer.

If the trial version is indicating it is no longer available and you need to enter the serial number to activate it then that is the end of the trial version for that machine. If you have another machine then that will be one way of getting the trial version running for another trial period.
