I have a long classic report .User is able to update different rows of this report using MR update process.Now user is asking for easier flow.What he wants is to be able to go back to same row after he saves the changes.How is it possible to do so

Long waiting times when going back to the organizer after doing changes of images. Elements 11.

After doing changes of images and going back to the organizer I have to wait a long time. This was not the case when I used elements 9. I have a lot of images stored around 18000. There are also often long waiting times when I move around in the organizer. Any suggestion?

My proxy goes back to automatic proxy after i change it

When i change my proxy and do what i want i then turn off my computer. I later then go back on my computer and the proxy has changed back. how do I fix this problem? is there a lock on the setting that I don't notice or is there some way that i can fix this.

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes.
If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

I want Firefox to stay on the SAME tab instead of going to the FIRST tab after saving a page

Several months ago FireFox (7) started going to the FIRST tab after saving and other actions.
This is extremely irritating as I usually have several windows with numerous tabs open and its very time consuming to find the tab I was on.
In fact, I have to open tabs in a new window prior to saving the page if I need info on that page for the file name as it's impossible to go anywhere but the first tab while at the prompt for the page name.
I hope it's not supposed to do that and greatly appreciate help to fix this.

The photo app puts files in date/time order and ignores their names.
You can look for another app that may honor file names (sorry, I don't know any to recommend) or you can find a program that alters your file properties. If all the files have properties that read the same date and time, then it defaults to alphabetical order

Saved file goes back to old version after crash

Hello everyone,
Has anybody had issues with Illustrator (5.5 or 6) with previously saved files crashing and going back to old versions? I've had it happen quite often. I start a new file, save it, close it. Next day or so I reopen, keep adding elements and saving in between. Next time, the same... Then it crashes and as I reopen the file it's back to day 1 or 2, rather than the latest times I've saved. Strangest thing ever!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. I was starting to wonder if it was just me having this issue. I'm saving to my work PC laptop (Lenovo), but has has this also on my Mac.
I've read about the network and external drives issue, but I've always avoided working anywhere else but my internal HDs. Not using graph tool but it's hard to narrow it down as I work on so many different projects at the same time.The latest file has been saved as something new and modified a couple of times (complex vector icons, but no shading/3D nor links). I do NOT have the "save compatible pdf"nor compression options enabled.
Other designers at work don't seem to have this issue, but they don't work with AI as often as myself, and mostly stick to the standard features.I would really like to figure this out as it's slowing me down and surely getting other people to wonder what I'm doing with my time (besides spending it here ).
Is it possible Adobe is unaware of this problem???

AppleWorks Icon does not stay in the same position after saving

After I installed AppleWorks 6.2.8, each time I save the file (word prosessor or data base) the icon on the desktop always moves to the right side of the screen below the hard drive icons. If I drag it to different position, then save the file it will move to the right side of the screen. If the saved file is in a folder, it always goes back to it's origional position. In fact, the same thing happens to other applactions (PhotoShop, TurboCad, etc.). This only happens in OS 9.2.2. It does not happen in OSX 10.4.6. The same situation also happens on my iBook and PowerMac G4 MDD after installing AppleWorks 6.2.8.
My System: PowerMac 7300, Sonnet 1GHz G4, 1GB memory, OS 9.2.2, OSX 10.4.6
I checked the AppleWorks preferences and Control Panels and could not find any settings.
This does not happen with AppleWorks 5.
Anyone know what has happened? Are there settings I am missing?

If I remember well, AppleWorks 5 was saving one document by rewriting the old one. Doing that, all the file's attributes where kept.
AppleWorks 6 writes an entirely new file, so the icon is not preserved. Of course, some of us think that it would have been a good idea to keep the parameters of the old file and "paste" them to the new one.
I wrote a script doing that but it is not perfecly stable.
For my own use, I build an alias of every file to which I want to give an icon. The file itself doesn't keep the icon (and its position in the window) but the alias keep it.
If you are really bothered by the standard icon, create a subfolder in which you store the documents and use these two scripts.

"Rendering: settings changed" after saving changes from Bridge

I have LR 2.6 on my Mac. I import RAW images through LR, let LR build 1:1 previews. Once the import has finished & previews are built, LR moves from image to image fine. I then do my basic edits, deletions, and do a batch renumber.
Next I go to Bridge to make my adjustments in the RAW window without opening the files. I go back to LR, save the changes, allowing the Bridge changes to overwrite the LR development import presets in the xmp files.
It usually takes LR a while to save all the changes, but eventually it does it. However, here is my issue. No matter how much time I give LR to render new previews, I don't think it does, at least not until I go to Library mode double click an image to view larger (to fit the window). When I go from image to image, it takes a few seconds while displaying the message "Rendering: settings changed..." Now, this is not necessarily right after I save the changes, but it still happens weeks later- whenever I go to view those images. Does LR not automatically re-render the previews after development changes have been made and saved to LR?
And if not, how would I force LR to do it for that catalog, or for all my images?

Why not make all you RAW adjustments in Lightroom Develop module. The raw processing engine is the same as ACR and you can choose "auto save changes to xmp" in the preferences.
Ah, bingo. That works, abet slowly (see above). Okay, I will just have to remember to manually do that once I save changes to LR from xmp data. I guess I thought LR would be smart enugh to do that itself, but I guess not. And again, I find it faster to go back & forths, even with an extra step.
LR can be set to automatically write any changes to xmp, it doesn't have to be done manually (set this in preferences) you just have the choice. It won't read changes made in other applications automatically as this would be a very bad idea..it would after all over write the LR database. So if you do want to over write the LR database you must activly choose to do so.

Iphone 3gs restores fine but goes back to recovery logo after restarting

i would appreciate any help that i can get, i have an iphone 3gs locked to fido and my phone carrier is also fido, so when i restore, the sim successfully unlocks it, aldo it doesnt say phone is activated, but it still takes me to the home screen and the phone and everything works fine; i can make calls, receive calls, sync with itunes and everything works perfectly. However when i restart it, it goes back to the recovery logo and although my sim is still in it, it constantly says searching... where it use to show the carrier name and remains on the restore screen and restarts itself every 10 minutes or so
I am getting really frustrated with this, i have tried everything, hard/soft reset, restoring my phone many times, resetting network settings, but itunes either says restore again, insert a valid sim with no pin lock to activate phone, or cant activate phone at this time, try again later. i tried calling my carrier company and they even replaced my sim that i got especially for this phone by telling them that i have a 32 gb iphone 3gs, but still same this, they even tried to unlock it in their system by taking down my phones IMEI and serial Number but still no luck, it still restores fine, carrier and everything works fine but after restarting goes back to the restore screen and wont budge until i restore again
is it a hardware issue? my phone is not under warranty, i am on 4.3.5

if you can't try creating new user account on that computer
if none works then your looking at a hardware condition... hope your warranty is still valid

Macbook Air 2012 goes back to Sleep immediately after waking it up

So I have had this 13inch Macbook Pro for about a month and in that time it has done this about twice already. In order to get it working again I have to wake it up the second time and then it works fine.
I have done the SMC and PRAM reset but that does not seem to help. This usally happens when the Mac is connected to a power supply and goes to sleep by itself after some inactivity. Would like to know if anyone is having a similar issue, if so did you found any solution? Thanks in advance. Just to clarify I am working on a 13 inch Macbook Air with 256GB SSD and using Mountian Lion 10.8.

Have also had this issue since purchase. Have tried most solutions, including restoring from a time machine backup file, to no avail.
The issue always happens like this:
1) plug computer in with screen open.
2) macbook air goes to sleep on its own
3) come back to use computer later (usually a few hours later) and take computer off power supply.
4) computer works fine for about 2 minutes
5) computer screen dims for about 2 seconds and then the computer goes to sleep
6) have to hit space bar repeatedly to wake computer up
7) Computer runs normally until plugged in again and then the whole issue starts all over again from step 1.
Anyone help?

I have this same issue. It started today. Did you find a fix without loosing your library?

My phone app goes back to main screen after 1.5 seconds.

1) When I try to open the phone app I get a white screen w/ blue banner for 1.5 seconds and then it goes back to my home screen.
2) When I get a phone call, there is a green banner at top of screen that says "touch to return to call". NEVER saw this before.
These two things started happening at the same time.
Have done "hard" restarts and downloaded/installed newest OS. STILL have the same two problems.

Well i´ve been having this problem too, but just reinstaled the app and worked fine again, or just with reboot the OS. But yesterday it was the worst...I just downloaded the Aurora Feint actualization and no apps worked anymore, but the worst part was that my ipod listsong was gone...i can see it in the computer, but not in the iphone...so ill have to restore my backup...i´ll feedback to apple

My iPad 2 goes back into recovery mode after restore is complete. I updated my iTunes to 12 before I attempted to restore.

I Hard reset my IPAD 2. It was showing connect to iTunes. I did and it prompted me to restore and update. It installed the software and said my iPad had been returned to factory settings and would restart but it never does. It just goes back into recovery mode and iTunes prompts me to restore again.

We just upgrated the XML Publisher to 5.6.1 and did all the work described in section "Post-install Steps" of "About Oracle XML Publisher 5.6.1"(Doc ID: Note:357308.1)
Now we are do the testing.

The log file says that the RDF report actually errored out
and its not a problem in XML Publisher.
REP-1401: 'beforereport': Fatal PL/SQL error occurred.
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error
what you can do to debug is change the output type to text and run the report.
See, if the report runs successfully. I guess, there might be some problem with the report itself.
If the text report runs fine, change the output type to xml and run it.

take value of checkbox item and show it in message .

You should not create checkboxes like this. Either use the APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX2 API or change the Column Type to Simple Checkbox.

Depends in how you are invoking/triggering the change event. Are you using DA or have you written an "onchange" event on the element?
