Going to the Bar for a friend = issue?

Hi all,
My friend's has been experiencing issues with their MagSafe adapter (burned, frayed wire). However, my friend is physically unable to go to the local Apple Store/Genius Bar themselves, so I offered to take it to Apple for them, since it is near my workplace.
Both my friend and I have MBPs and this had happened to me earlier in the year-- a guy working at Apple told me to write down my serial number and bring the cord, and they would replace it. I did just that, and had no problems. I will be doing the same for my friend.
However, I am wondering if it may raise any concern/questioning by the people at the bar.. since my friend is male and I am female, I am wondering if, when they pull up the serial number, it also pulls up his credentials (Name, address, etc). I really don't like confrontation or the chance that Apple would give me bad looks because I do not match the description of the serial number's holder.

A slight reframing of the situation as: "My spouse is disabled and can't easily come in ..." might be sufficient to over-come any objections. Spouses don't all have the same last names their other half these days.

My iPhone 4S shows that I am connected to wifi, but still shows 4G and not the bars for wifi.

I have been using my iPhone 4S for one year and has been working perfectly fine until now. You are detecting the wifi, but not connected to it.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

What is the reference for unplanned goods issue?

I have qurry on material issue .
normally we issue the material to the production order through Picklist.here it is the planned issue.up to here it is ok.
But if we want extra material against prod.order which is not in prod. order,we are not getting the reference like sales order.
also management is interested in the material like this which issued as unplanned.how can we do it?

no that is not my qurry.
in our scenario our store person see the hard copy of picklist,and then he ll issue the material to production order.here up to this it is ok.
but suppose at the last moment if they required some extra material for that particular fert item for that order,but that extra material is not in std bom.then what ll be the subseqent document ,on that basis store person ll issue the material.becos that material ll not be in std pick list,becos that ll be unplanned issue.

Trying to find a fix to the Windows Update issue with Windows 10 TP 9926 build and can't find the correct forum to post this question?
This will impact receiving the new build upgrades and will impact test strategy for the new supported OS in our desktop application.

After going through the process for an upgrade, we completely lost Mozilla. We get a message saying that we don't have permissions. How can I get the previous version back on my computer?

My husband received a message saying that there was an upgrade for FF Mozilla, so he proceeded to upgrade. After doing so he received a message saying we didn't have permissions. I took the laptop to the Geeks at Best Buy and was told that it was a software issue. We just want to get back to our previous version but can't do that either.

Do a clean (re-)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

When I start Firefox, the name goes to the bar at the bottom, but I can't open it. Clicking it does nothing, I am still left with my desktop. So temporarily, I have to access the internet using IE, which I don't prefer. How do I get round this?

I used FF for some time, then I looked up a page in Turkish (not my language), and the page appeared in a small format, and I couldn't open it. Even when I right-clicked the FF icon, I couldn't close it, so I turned the computer off, and restarted, but I still can't open any page with FF because I can't get the full page. I am using an Acer Desktop tower with Vista - I am bilingual German/English. I have tried starting the computer in a different modus, FF starts then, but when I use the usual modus, it won't start - I use ESET NOD32 AV and Ad-Aware, and both haven't found a problem - I am now running Malwarebytes, and so far it hasn't found anything

To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.

Hello, one of our customers just encountered an execution error in a vi running under LabVIEW 6.1, which doesn't exist under LabVIEW 5.1 or 6.01. I have a simple vi that has two encapsulated For Loops. Two string arrays go in, one goes out of the outer loop. Inside the outer loop the first array is indexed. The string which results from this indexing is compared with all other strings from the second string array in the inner loop. If it matches one of the strings of the second array, it is not outputted, otherwise this string goes through the inner For Loop to the output of the inner loop and from there to the output of the outer loop. The count
terminal of the outer/inner loop is connected to the Array Size of the first/second string array. If the second array is empty, that means that the element in test from the first arry cannot match anything from the second array, so the element in test is send to the output of the inner loop and from there to the output of the outer loop. This works fine in LabVIEW 5.1 and 6.01, but NOT in LabVIEW 6.1. In LabVIEW 6.1 the inner loop is never executed if the count value is zero (which is correct), but the data line running through the loop is not executed either, which is different to what LabVIEW 5.1 and 6.01 do. There, the input string is sent to the output of the inner loop correctly even if the loop counter is zero. The solution is easy - I just have to connect the output of the outer loop to the data line BEFORE it enters the inner loop. But: I don't know if this is a LabVIEW 6.1 bug or if it is supposed to be a feature, but it brings some incompatibility in programming between the
different LabVIEW versions.

When a for-loop runs zero times, all outputs are 'undefined' (and should
be).
Besides, how would LV know what the output of a not executed routine should
be?
It might be handled differently in LV5 and LV6, which is unfortunate. In
both cases, the result is undefined.
It's not a bug. It's just something that should be avoided in any LV
version.

In some cases this does the trick. But if the data is changed in the inner
loop, this will effect the results if the N is not zero.
Technically, I think the output in this construction is also 'undefined'.
But LV handles this as expected / desired.
Another solution is to use a shift register. If N is zero, the input is
directly passed through to the output.
