Good software

does anyone know how to uninstall GOOD software program from Treo700p?
Post relates to: Treo 755p (Verizon)

If the Goodlink software is not in ROM, you should be able to uninstall it via the usual, App, Delete.  Or, if you have an uninstaller application, it should show up in the listing of installed software.  If not, it's likely in ROM (Read Only Memory) and you can't uninstall it without getting into ROM hacking.  If you do a hard reset (wipe out the Treo) and you have the Good software there, it's definitely in ROM.
The best you can do is hide the icon from showing up in the Launcher using something like Obfuscate.

or Invisible, Fast Hide and other similar apps.

  • Good Software to Make a Font?

I did a search here but the most recent thing that comes up is from 2003.
Does anyone know of any good software that I can make fonts with? This is my first attempt and I want something free or inexpensive just to see how I like it.
    Thanks!

You asked for something 'good' and also 'inexpensive'. In general, you
    can't have both.
The two suggestions you've received so far include one good and
expensive solution (Fontlab) and one poor and inexpensive (Corel Draw).
Corel Draw's font creation process is absurd! It does one character at
a time and has just about zero ways to select or create any other than
a couple of default font attributes.
An exception to the rule is FontForge, which is both good and free. It
also has a steep learning curve, and requires a cygwin environment.
Somewhere in between, you can find:
Other programs from Pyrus/Fontlab, with varying costs and degrees of
capability, including TypeTool and Scanfont. Scanfont does a
reasonable job of vectorizing images of full character sets, but
should really be used in conjunction with FontLab. They also own and
sell Fontographer, an expensive old warhorse of a program that hasn't
been updated in many many years. The Mac version is a bit newer.
FontCreator (High-Logic Systems). Extremely flexible when vectorizing
images of individual glyphs. It has poor defaults (such as assigning
the copyright to High-Logic Systems and creating many hundreds of
empty glyphs) that have to be overcome. Again, post-processing with a
program like FontLab is recommended, but not necessary.
    CR8 Software Solutions:
Has a free font creator, TypeLight, that has limited drawing tools,
can't import scanned images directly, and other limitations. He also
offers a paid version with significantly more capability, and a
separate program CR8Trace, for vectorizing scanned images. All in all,
not great, but you get what you pay for.

  • Good Software for Organization

Does anyone know of any good software to download on the MacBook to Organize one's schedule? I want to something with lots of colors, multitasking capabilities, and a 3D visual display also if possible.

    Hi Malcolm Lyles;
If iCal doesn't solve all your scheduling problems for you, you might want to post any shortcomings over in the iCal forum.

  • Good software to make and burn movies to dvd using 10.8.2

10.8.2 does not support I DVD I am looking for a good software to make my own movies yet be simple to use and burn to DVDs. I'm a beginner and need help thanks

You can use iDVD with 10.8.2 - I am; it still works (although it is no longer included as it used to be). So, if you have a retail iLife 09 or 11, install it. If you don't, it is absolutely worth going to Amazon or ebay or some other resellers and buying a copy of the retail iLife 11 disk.

  • What is good software to download to remove duplicate files?

What is good software to download to remove duplicate files? Mostly photos.

    Hi Marcusito12,
Theoretically you can use the preinstalled software from Toshiba, the Toshiba Disc Creator. With this tool you can also burn CDs/DVDs.
In my opinion its not necessary to pay for such a software. There are pretty well freeware software to download, like CD Burner XP. Thats my personal favorite, because its a small tool (doesnt need much disk space and RAM), can burn everything and its freeware.
    Check this!!!
Furthermore I use DVD-R mediums from Verbatim and TDK CD-R.

Attachments:  I have the software good on my iPad to be able to view my work email on my iPad.  The problem is with attachments, when I forward those, using good from my iPad, they don't 'get forwarded.  In the forwarded email, the icon that seems to be the attachment is just a jpeg icon of the type of attachment it would be if I were able to open it.

  • Good Software for DVD Labels?

I had to replace my hard drive and therefore lost 3rd party apps I had installed. Now that I have the chance, can someone recommend a good DVD Label software? I used expressit before, and it seemed very basic and quirky. It seems to be the only thing obvious and available in stores like Staples, etc. Any other ideas? Anything I can download for free online?

The reported damage is both from the adhesive melting and the imbalance when the label is not placed correctly. Some people have had DVD disks getting stuck inside players because the adhesive loosened. Others complain of stuttering and playback problems....problems that do not show up if the same project is burned to a DVD disk without a stick-on label.
If anyone has used the stick-ons and is not having problems, all I can say is wait....sometimes the poor playback will not be apparent for some time, and then it starts ruining your disk.
I don't use any stick-ons. I think the very first DVD I made, using the first versions of iMovie and iDVD, did have a stick-on label, and the disks were ok after about 5 years. However, I reburned to Verbatim's archival gold disks, and wrote carefully on the disk with a CD/DVD marker. (I don't have a printer that can print to disks).

  • Good software for music creation (?)

I'm interested in ametour music creation on linux. I sometimes record some stuff with guitar using jack server, ardour and tuxguitar with fluidsynth for drums. Can you recommend me any other good quality software connected with music creation (virtual pluigns, instruments and other..). I know that there are quite a lot of audio applications, but i need to know which are most usable and noteworthy.

Thank you very much for the site adress (http://www.linux-sound.org/).

BTW. Maybe someone can help. If I have keyboards (synthesizer, i don't  know how to call it in english.. ) and connect it's midi output to midi (joystick) input in computer, would I be able to record things that i play on keyboards with midi samples from my computer (i am using onboard sound card so far, if it matters)?

Malware bytes is an excellent free program. Microsofts Malicious Software Removal Tool is another excellent free program.

I am unaware of an all in one tool as your requesting that is free. However, you can cover your basis with just a few freeware tools.

  • G4010, Windows 7-sp1 64bit, scan doc says all is good, software will not reinstall.

Have HP Scanjet G4010. Windows 7-SP1 64 Bit. The doc program that I ran says connection good. The "driver only" download works good. However, the primary software that comes with the scanner (also includes the twain driver) will not install completly. When I try to install it, it complains that it can not find the SCAN.MSI file in the E:\temp\7Z????\scan directory. That file and even the directory do not usually exist. I point the program to a location with a scan.msi (uncompressed install program), and it says it is not the correct file. The next time I tried to run it, It saw the attempted install of the software and wanted to uninstall a couple of the programs. I told it to go ahead and delete. It deleted the programs but now if I run the install, it still wants to delete the files and shows me nothing that I can delete.  I tried to delete the directories from drive C: and references from the Registry to any and all HP software. No difference in the install. I also tried running the MS Fix program for software install and uninstall problems.  It claimed to fix something, to change was seen in HP software behavior.

    Still looking for an answer...

By the time you are able to apply for and interview for such a job, you will have learned dozens of applications. More importantly, though, is the crafts of the medium: directing, lighting, sound, audio, practical and special effects, acting, blocking, shot composition, floor directing, switching, tape operations, camera engineering, cabling know-how, power distribution, video engineering, distribution technologies, replication and duplication systems, lenses, filters, matte boxes, tripod and studio supports, portable gear, transportation, catering, unions, budgeting and a few more.
