Good Starting Point

Hi All,
As i have a requirement of showing the map with a client place in it(the client place of my organization should be marked well in the map), how to show all the client place of my organization in google map.
Can i have a good starting point of it.
How to proceed with this.
Whether i need to refer all these locations from the table
Regards,
Mini

Hi whielm,
Thanks for that useful link.
i downloaded the plugin botoka google map which is suitable i suggest so
for that i created a plugin region invoking botoka map and under the sql statement i have given the following query which suits my requirement but it doesn't seemed to work
SELECT  e.address1
FROM   apps.hz_parties a,
         apps.hz_cust_accounts b,
         apps.hz_cust_acct_sites_all c,
         apps.hz_party_sites d,
         apps.hz_locations e,
         apps.fnd_territories f
WHERE       1 = 1
AND a.party_id = b.party_idSince it is asking to give three columns for the query, i also tried by giving
e.address1, null, null
But it is throwing error like the column alias to be unique.
or is there anyother suitable plugin is available inorder to show the location of my client in the map(more clearly).
Regards,
Mini

If the file was not originally from iTunes, you'll need to redownload it from it's original source or rerip it from the CD.  Files can sometimes go bad and become corrupted.  As to how or why that happens, there are a number of ways.
What format are the problematic tracks in? Have you tried converting them to another format in iTunes?

  • Can someone point me to a good starting point

    Hello:
I have to look into implementing the TV middleware for ATSC/NTSC digital TV with path for future migration to MHP and OCAP. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good starting point for implementing the specifications. I am also looking at the JavaTV API.
Can anyone point me to some good FAQ's, starting points, etc.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Sanjay

Well, at the risk of blowing my own trumpet, there are some tutorials at http://www.mhp-interactive.org which will hopefully give you an overview. These are mainly related to MHP and JavaTV, but maybe some
ATSC stuff will appear on there sometime in the future.
There's also the forum on the official MHP web site at http://forum.mhp.org/ that may be useful for MHP-related stuff.
    Hope this helps,

  • Anyone recommend a good starting point?

I am a self taught geek, started in the trenches (trouble shooting the owners computer when I was a bartender) and built my knowledge up to the point an Analyst II position was created for me.
My knowledge is mostly in software though and I am now trying to teach myself server administration.  Ive always had great experience with TechNet but Im still a baby on the server side and I'm finding the information more in depth than Im ready
    for.
Can anyone suggest a good starting point?  On here or elsewhere?
    Any Help Appreciated!!!!!!

    Hi ,
I think the doc located at the following link:
    http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/network/2003/11/10/oracle_spatial.html?page=1
is good enough as a starting point .... in order to be understood easily and quickly some 'difficult' concepts , notions of Spatial data....

I recommend that you use the Sun Tutorial here http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/
It has detailed instructions and will expose you to some of the details of Java that you will sooner or later have to learn.
Using NB is ok, as long as you use it in an intelligent manner. That is, don't use it as a crutch, to hide the guts of Java from you - you'll never learn Java that way. Use it when it helps you do something, not because it'll do something for you that you can't do for yourself. Be aware that using an IDE will incur a greater learning curve, as you have to learn both the IDE and Java. I recommend using Nb only as a program editor until you are somewhat proficient in the basics of Java syntax and language rules.
In my experience, there's very little said here that relies on knowledge of other languages - other thatn general programming concepts. What you're seeing is probably just that.

  • Moving from flash. whats a good starting point to making some mobile Edge apps?

    Hi.
I'm coming from a strong Adobe background. I have used flash since the old macromedia days.
I am looking to start making some mobile apps and I'm unsure where to start.
I have brought myself up to speed with Edge and its pretty good.
I want to put something together that has touch screen controls. basically I want to make a couple of buttons that the user can press on their phone, and the buttons trigger a movie clip to play from points on its timeline.
There's so many Adobe products that are out and not out and for mobile and this and that.
Is there a product that I should be using for putting mobile apps like this together? Is Edge what I'm to be using?
I am a new creative cloud member although I am somewhat confused by its offerings, and remain unimpressed with it.
    thanks,
    John

I think you need search with key "flash for mobile" and read carefull. I hope you will get some good things that you need. Thanks a lot.

  • Luma Keying - Who's got a good starting point?

So I've set up a video clip with a matte, and dragged in another layer into the matte well, and set it to luminance. I have added several filters to my matte source layer to create a high contrast image. It's working ok, but I was wondering if anybody out there has some filters and settings, they liked to share, that they use to start off with when doing this kind of procedure.
On the matte source clip I have a Levels (to create contrast), a Colorize (to set all to b/w), a Channel Blur (to soften the edges and fill whole in the matte) and then on the Layer that contains my matte source I have another Levels to clean the matte even more.
I started out trying the luma key on the clip I want to key but it wasn't much use on it's own.
    TonyTony

Well Ok I'll give the Luma Keyer another look. It just didn't seam to have much i don't know range (maybe). It seemed as if it bit to much out of the image I wanted in or left to much of the white I wanted out. I'll look again.
    Mark,
I was asking about Luma Keying first but also thru-in the key in general for future info. First look at Primatte RT didn't thrill. I've gotten use to Keylight so it will take a little fiddling to get use to some other keyer.
    Thanks for the info,
    TonyTony

  • Emachine EL1360G-UW12P HDMI as a good starting point.

I currently have a Emachine EL360G-UUW12P HDMI. And I have it connected to my 32" LED/HDMI/SRS Sound/Dolby Digitial
    32" LED panel
    With a 1366 x 768 resolution
    True 16:9 aspect ratio
I use it into my bedroom the pc and tv. I have been thinking about buy some good TV shows that I like such as arrow and supernatural and a few others on DVD. But I don't know if I should upgrade my dvd rom drive to a blu ray or not. I don't know if my tv can haddle it. If all I needed to do was buy a drive for my pc then ok but if I have to upgrade the drive and buy a better tv and all the dvds then I don't think its worth switching ot blu ray.
Can someone please answer this question?
If I use the TV I currently have and upgrade to a blu ray drive will the quility of the picture be the same as the original drvie or would blu ray work with my current TV.
The resolution is at 1366 X 768. I don't know much about this kind of stuff that is why I'm asking.
    Thank you.

Thats odd RealGeorgeW because it was literally the first link for me.
    Acer Emachine EL1360G-UW12P:
    AMD Dual-Core E-300 processor 1.30GHz, 1MB Total Cache
2GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (expandable to 8GB)
Gives you the options for surfing, video conferencing, documents, basic photo editing and simple computer tasks
    500GB SATA hard drive
Store 333,000 photos, 142,000 songs or 263 hours of HD video and more on this Windows desktop computer
    16x SuperMulti drive
Watch movies, and read and write CDs and DVDs in multiple formats
    10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet
Connect to a broadband modem or wired broadband router with wired Ethernet
    20" widescreen LCD monitor
Integrated AMD Radeon HD6300 Series Graphics
So based on those specs yes it is HD capable. But the question still remains is it worth it. Because you have to factor in the price of not only the drive but the Blu-Ray video players as well. Which for the leading brands such as Corel WinDVD that is 50 dollars and in the drive of say 50 dollars which is the cheapest i found on Newegg your looking at dumping 100 dollars into. In my opinion would be better off just getting a stand alone player.

  • LP8 : A good starting point?

    Hi
May seem like a stupid question but, being a noob, I'm aloud
I have never used Logic before and have only played around with Garageband. I want to move to a pro environment. I have always read such positive reviews from Logic users.
Is LP8 good for me to jump into or do I need to understand the logic (no pun intended) of how previous versions worked. It seems to me this is a major revamp and they've changed many aspects, such as the environment. Reading about the environment has always intrigued me. It comes across as very powerful, yet intimidating tool. Do I need to learn how this works and what it does before being able to use LP8?
    Thanks..

  • Wikis - a good starting point for portal information...

The recently announced Wiki functions of SDN will, over time, be a great source of information about portal development and implementation...
The main wiki portal page is [https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EP].
Please read this first  before asking a question in the forum - believe me, there are not many new questions being asked!
There is quite a bit of repetition in forum questions, and maybe if people are directed to the wiki page as a first step, it may make it easier to watch this forum.
The Wiki concept is all about sharing within a community, so feel free to modify the content - more accurately 'our' content - and maybe start some other pages, such as one about modifying logon pages - a fairly consistent topic in this forum

    Hi Michael,
I am new to Basis. I am getting difficulty to get answers for Bais problems from sap forum.
If you can provide some useful links (like you provided for portal development ) , it will be helpful for me.
Also suggests is there any special forum category or platform to post Basis related problems.

  • Help with starting point for "proof of concept" integration

We are a third party application provider and are attempting to figure out how to do a "proof of concept" integration with SAP.  We are not looking for "certification".  Our product does not appear to fit any of the standard certifications for integration and our experience integrating with other systems indicates that no two integration will be identical.
We are looking to do a simple integration scenario with an SAP system so we have some basic experience doing it, can say 'Yes" when asked if we have done it, and can create a video showing a transaction being done in SAP and our system also updating (and ideally the reverse).
Our starting point with respect to SAP knowledge is "0".
Our basic task list (we think) goes something like
    1.  Figure out the version and modules of SAP with which we should be integrating
    2.  Get access to an SAP system (do we rent, is there a developer/evaluation, ...)
    3.  Put some data in the test system (is there a "sample data" set?)
    4.  Figure out the SAP transactions that map to the business process in which we are interested (moving goods in and out of a distribution center/ware house - are there some "standard business process guides")
    5.  Integrate (we are a .NET web based application so we are guessing this means use the ".Net Connector")
Could anyone point out any resources (white papers, links, people, places to find people,...) that might be a good starting point?
    Thanks,
    John

    Athol,
We are looking to recieve notifications out of SAP as tractor trailers at a dock are filled as proof on concept.  The actual integration scenarios we do are more complex and do not match well with any of the pre-packaged certification scenarios.  The real world integration scenarios actual vary substantially from customer to customer in terms of the integration points between systems.
As we have become more marginally knowledgable about SAP, I think we will end up receiving and sending "IDOC" messages from SAP but have no idea what those IDOC messages are or where to start looking for what a "standard" (if there is one) message SAP would generate in reaction to whatever the "trailer is loaded" transaction is.
To figure out what the transaction is, I assume we need to identify what version of SAP we should be targeting for a simple integration.  Are there any could references on what the commonly integration methods are and to which versions they apply?
Something like "hey, if you do an integration with a IDOCs in with SAP Netweaver 2004 then that would good proof you could integrate with 90% of the installed SAP base".  Of course, any links explaining what the versions of SAP are and where they are in there lifecycle and what people are actually using would be helpful.

  • Mac Mini good starting choice?

Hello fellow members, I was thinking of changing from Windows PC to a Mac Mini is the Mac Mini a good Mac to start off with. I have never ever touched a Mac PC and really want one. Am I thinking in the right direction? any advice?
    Thanks Rich

    Rich,
The Mac Mini is a good starting point only if you already have an acceptable Display, Keyboard, and Mouse.
If you don't have a Display, Keyboard and Mouse that are the size and condition that you can live with, then I would suggest an iMac at $1199 which comes with 20 inch display, keyboard, and mouse.
If you have to buy the Mac Mini, Display, Keyboard, and Mouse, then the price can get way up there real quick. An iMac would be a better buy in this case in my opinion.

  • Beginners Start Point

    Hi
I have been developing sites with ASP, MySQL, and Flash. However, I realize that there is a demand now for developers with knowledge and skills using JSP.
Can anyone suggest a good starting point towards learning JSP, it would much appreciated.

    user540800,
I suggest starting with the J2EE 1.4 Tutorial.
Although the latest version is JEE 5.0, the latest version of Oracle Application Server only supports J2EE 1.4.
The tutorial has a chapter on JavaServer Pages.
    Good Luck,
