Google Calendar no longer syncing with iPhone after working fine for a while
I have been syncing my Google Calendar with mine and my wife's iPhone and iCal (on my Mac) for about a year now, and it worked flawlessly...up until a few days ago.
She noticed that her iPhone calendar was completely blank, which prompted me to look at mine. Yep. Gone also. Everything is still in iCal. After fiddling around in the iPhone settings, both of our calenders seemed to magically reappear....then a few days later....gone again.
I see myself as pretty tech-savvy, yet I am perplexed. What is going on here? Is it a bug since it worked fine all this time and just stopped working?
I'm on a 4S IOS 7.1 won't show my Google Calendar I have about 8 that should be showing. FIXED!!
I'm posting this here because your answers didn't help with my particular problem but aimed me in the right direction. so maybe this will help someone else.

At the bottom of the calendar app click Calendars there should be a check to the left of your calendar. (my calendars weren't even listed here)
The google.com/calendar/iphoneselect solution. (mine was checked correctly)
Google 2-step verification (I even turned this on to see if it would help)
Deleting all accounts “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts” and starting over

Since I deleted all my accounts already this is what worked I don't know why.
Under “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts”
I added my google account “add account” “Google”... so on. Calendar was selected.
I added a second account “add account” “other” (at bottom) scroll down to “add CalDav Account” under calendars.
Server= www.google.com
user name = your email
password = your password
description = whatever
Calendar was selected.
Then I went to “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts” and down towards the bottom I clicked “default calendar” and set it.

The appointments in Outlook are no longer syncing with my phone after installing IOS5. I've uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes. The itunes add-in in Outlook is disabled and no matter how many times I enable it, it disables. I've reset my phone. I've replaced items on this phone with calendar and nothing seems to work. IPod Touch calendar no longer syncs with Macbook after upgrade to Mavericks
I have a 2nd Gen iPod Touch, running iOS 4.2.1 (the latest available). My MacBook Air previously ran Mac OSX Lion, and would happily sync the calendar with my iPod. I've just upgraded to Mac OSX Mavericks, which apparently comes with iTunes 11.1, but plugging my iPod into the USB port no longer causes the calendar to sync. I've tried manually syncing through the iTunes interface but it simply ignores the calendar, which remains stuck as it was when I last synced.
What am I doing wrong here?I too have an older iPod. I do not care much for iCloud or any cloud so what I do is send my calendar to my e-mail and then open it on my iPod. I send Contacts using Adobe and, for me, it works fine. If you are in business and use these apps frequenctly I do not think this would work well for you. Only two options, iCloud or a Server.

ITunes freezes when syncing with iPhone, but works fine with iPod?
It's a bit of a long story with my iPhone/iTunes problem. In late July, my iPhone stopped syncing properly. It's an iPhone 4. Basically, I tried to add more photo albums to sync onto my phone, something I have done before. It began syncing, then notified me that it couldn't sync 'x' amount of photos. It was a pop up on my phone screen. I tried deleting my cache in My Pictures, still errors. Then it seems like everything possible has just glitched when I sync as weeks went on. It wouldn't sync music. The songs would appear gray and failed to play. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it doesn't. Now, iTunes freezes when it reaches the end of the sync and I have to ctrl+alt+del to close iTunes as it stops working.
I took my iPhone to apple, and she ran diagnostics and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. She told me she couldn't run diagnostics on my iTunes because it's a Windows laptop and she's "not trained to work with them". She said everything seemed fine with my iPhone and asked if it was possible if I have a virus. I've had no other problems with my laptop whatsoever and I have a decent virus protector that we pay for monthly.
I have tried restoring my phone twice, with a backup. I tried again WITHOUT a backup, and still, it freezes when it syncs, some songs are gray on my iPhone and won't play, and photos refuse to sync, period.
I then tried syncing my dad's iPod with my iTunes, and it worked. I also tried syncing my iPhone on my dad's laptop, and it worked. So something is clearly glitching between specifically my phone and my iTunes. I'm avoiding uninstalling iTunes at all costs because I don't want to lose play count information as the majority of my playlists are created this way. I thought iOs 7 or iTunes 11 (now 11.1) would fix it, but neither did.
Can anyone determine what the problem could be and how to fix it?the same thing is happening with me. itunes will freeze and then it wont put songs on my ipod.
im starting to get upset since i just went out and bought a new ipod. thinking that was the problem.

MobileMe calendar no longer syncs with iPhone 4.01 - Only Birthday calendar
Since accepting the new Calendar on MobileMe, I am no longer able to sync the Calendar in the cloud to my iPhone. I've tried everything, even restoring the iPhone. Also, in iTunes, where you select info, under Calendars there is only one now, Calendar, iTunes no longer shows all the calendars that reside in iCal or on MobileMe Calendar.
I am totally confused, anyone have a solution?

(iOS 7.1.1) Google Contacts no longer sync with my contacts app
Hello everyone. So recently I noticed that my Google Contacts no longer sync with my Contacts app, and this is really upsetting as I'm a person who needs to have updated contacts and both my phone, as well as a backup on my Gmail account, as I am both a Google and Apple user.
I am using an iPhone 5S, on 7.1.1.
My Settings has my Gmail account signed in, and has the "Contacts" switch turned on. I deleted the account, and re entered it, and I am still not seeing any activities of the Google Contacts and Contacts app syncing.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, so I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some ideas as to what might be going on. I'm real tech savvy but I have no idea what caused my contacts to stop syncing. My Google Calendar events sync just fine, so that's even more confusing.Okay.. it won't let me go back and edit my earlier postings however... the problem is solved. I went in and Deleted ANY resource that iSync could get it's hands on that it kept in the iSync folder and the SyncServices Folder in the Libray Folder under Users. I actually moved the contents for those folders to a different volume. I then deleted the resources for Palm Desktop making it create a new user account. The Next time I opened iSync.. It went crazy trying to find resources.. it opened Calendar for me and I never saw it open address book but I saw that it was reading Addresses. I then Opened iTunes next and noticed that my full contacts from my address book were put back on my iPod!
Shew!!! one down and one to go. I prayed and added my palm device to iSync. Then I synced and got conflict popups for my Addresses and Calendars asking me how to reconcile ( I was only getting those for the Calendars earlier). I then re-synced and checked my Palm and All of my contacts were in the Treo 650! I then changed a few entries and synced again for a few tests and it appears to be fixed.
This is the problem with gradual upgrades as opposed to clean installs when you update your OS. It's just that OS X doesn't give you that option. in the Pre OS X days I would never just upgrade my OS. I would also Re-Format and Re-install. That's always been my preference. -
Google contacts no longer syncing with iMac
My Google Contacts no longer sync with my iMac running OS X 10.6.8. Several other threads on this, but no answers that work for me. I know Google no longer supports the exchange style sync and I've tried the CardDAV procedures with no success. Can someone give me procedures that will work for the Mac Address Book?
ThanksYes I am aware of that and already tried following their instructions. Doesn't work on my iMac. Pretty much every user that has had success with that procedure was using an iPhone or iPad. I'm thinking there is a difference with the Mac for some reason. When setting up the CardDAV with the iMac it states "Address Book couldn't discover the account setting for the CardDAV server "google.com". Make sure the user name and server address are correct, then click Create." I've tried my username is just my username and I've tried it as my full email address. I followed other threads suggesting to clicking SSL and trying a couple different port numbers, but still no success.

I have a Google calendar that is syncing with my iPad and on my MacBook Air. However, the calendar items are not showing up when I access iCloud via the Internet. Any suggestions?
On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud
Toggle Documents & Data off then back on then restart your iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
On the iMac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Documents & Data then reselect it then restart your iMac. -

I too was a mobileme user and have just migrated to iCloud on mackbook pro w/OS 10.7.4. Transition caused my sent mailboxes to rearrange themselves so that I have no comprehensive 'sent' mailbox as I did previously and the view on both incoming and outgoing mailboxes keeps rearranging itself no matter how many times I set preferences. One result is that search function no longer works. Is anyone else having problems like this? All was fine for a week after transition but after having an evening when my password was repeatedly rejected I had to log in and out of iCloud (as directed by tech support) and w/in an hour or so the mailbox problem began.

After working fine for several months, my iPhone 5 has started dropping bluetooth connectivity for 2 to 5 seconds at a time with my Sony MDR-1RBT headphones. The headphones work fine with other bluetooth devices. I haven't moved to iOS7 yet. Any ideas?
What user troubleshooting have you done on the phone? The steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Understand that a restore will put the latest iOS on your device. It is also possible there is a hardware fault on the device and the Bluetooth is failing. Anything is possible given the scenario you describe.
And as far as iOS 7.x is concerned, we have 5 different iPhones here at home, all with the latest iOS, a 4, 4s, 5c, and 2-5s and all are working just fine. So, a blanket statement such as the one provided by the other poster is not completely true. Others are not having any issues at all either. -
Streaming music with airport express and Apple TV to 2 different systems. No problem with Apple TV. iPad and iPhone 4 and new 5s keep dropping their connection to airport express. Airport express connection to wifi appears to be fine. No dropping by windows PC. This just started recently after working fine for a year. Help?
What does any of this have to do with the Apple TV?

Contact NIK for updated/upgraded versions of their plug-ins. They have been having a lot of issues with their plug-ins.

My iTunes remote app on my ipad mini will work fine for a while and then it will lose the library. I then have to turn off sharing on the computer and then turn it back on. This will work for a while and then I will have to repeat the process. Help!
I have just found the problem to be windows firewall on my library PC
I can only presume there has been an update to windows firewall or iTunes
all the relevant programs were on the allowed list
I'm now currently running with firewall turned off on my library PC.

After working fine for over a year, 160 quits working and goes into recover
So, I've had my 160gb iPod for awhile, and it has basically worked fine for a while.
Occasionally, it skips, but I just said whatever, and let it be.
Anyway, today I listened to it frequently, and it started to take about 15 seconds to actually start a song that I picked. So eventually, I became tired of it.
I went to play one song, and it skipped it and the other tracks after it.
I had this problem before, but after converting them to .m4a they worked fine.
However, these songs were already .m4a, so there wasn't too much I could really do.
So, I decided to restart the iPod with the standard Hold on off, select-center button at at the same time thing.
And then I tried to turn it back on, and when I did, it informed me that I needed to restore the iPod.
It showed me a snazzy picture of the USB cable, and explained it to me in a few in a few other languages.
So, I plugged it into the computer to try and get around it, and it informed me that the iPod was in recovery mode?
I've never heard of this, and I ultimately have no idea what to do. I don't want to have to restore, but I guess I'm going to. I'd really like to know why it freaked out on me though.See if this helps.

Got new ATV and all set up. It keeps loosing connection with iTunes on laptop and have tried everything suggested in set up guide. It works fine for a while then the iTunes account vanishes from 'computer' menu TV screen. Full Wifi signal on both devices so can't think what could be causing it to happen. Any suggestions please?
Sorry, I updated another thread I was a part of but didn't update my own thread.....ughhh!
I updated all of my ATV 2's and 3's to the latest firmware when it was released and have been problem free since. I do believe the major issue of not being able to connect after a period of inactivity has been corrected with the latest ATV firmware.
I can look at my network connection table using "netstat -an" in a CMD window and I do not see the massive number of connections I saw before the update.
