Google Docs doesn't wort

Here is something that doesn't seem to work with iPad Safari:
Google Docs.
You can open a spreadsheet and do limited editing, but can't scroll around anywhere.
For documents, I can't seem to edit at all.
JH

No it doesn't have to do with flash... I dont know why it wont scroll but I wouldn't worry about it because GOOGLE will come out with something to fix that.

  • Excel Documents in Google Docs Doesn't Work on FF 4.0

I just did my recent updates of Firefox and now I cannot open any of my google doc excel files or even create a new one. I keep getting an error message that says "A browser error has occurred.
Please hold the Shift key and click the Refresh button to try again." Of course this does nothing and then I have to leave a move to a different browser to open my documents.

    Thanks for the reply.
I clear cookies and cache all the time and I've done it a few times regarding this problem as well, and I've also already tried disabling hardware acceleration. Now I tried starting Firefox in safe mode, restored defaults, disabled plugins one by one and updated the outdated ones but it didn't help. The problem's still the same.
It's not a major issue b/c simply minimizing and restoring fixes it but it's kinda odd anyway since there was no problem with earlier versions of Firefox and it occurs on every machine I've tried it with.
The ebank utilizes Java so clearly I couldn't test disabling Java plugins, but I've reinstalled Java, cleared its temporary files and removed certificates and all that doesn't help. Could it still have something to do with Java?

  • Scan to Google Docs is still broken :-(

    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-Print-Apps-Mobile/Scan-to-google-docs-doesn-wotk-HP6500A/m-p/114...
Could HP please fix it -as promised?

I too am havinhg the same problem. It use to work so well that I used it almost daily. Then suddenly it quit working. It does through the passes. I confirms my credentials, it scans the document, but then fails on the last step. It says:
    Unsuccessful Upload
The files could not be uploaded to
    www.docs.google.com sue to certain
problem with the uploading service or
your account limitation. Try again, or
    touch Exit to quit.
Interesting is that I can scan the document to my MAC as a PDF and then upload it to Google Docs with no problem so it is not my credentials nor is it Google Docs being full.
What changed and how do we fix it. I paid for this feature given it influenced my purchase decision over other printers. We need this fixed sooner than later or I am taking the printer back to the store and will discourage anyone I know from purchasing this printer!
I hope it does not come down to that.

  • Google Docs page freezes in FF 4.0 and 3.16 versions and it doesn't show the collection or folder names on the left side of the page .

Google Docs page freezes and it shows the files in the main page. However, it doesn't show the collection or folder on the left side of the page. It shows "Loading" on top of the page and it stays with "Loading" display forever. Chrome doesn;t have any such problem. I would like to use FF for google docs if it works. This happened only after I changed to FF 4.0. Now, I went back to 3.16 and it shows the same behavior as 4.0 version. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm replying to my own question in hopes that it'll push my post to the top of any lists to garner some sort of response.
Any help is most appreciated. Thank you.

  • Copying cells from Google Docs to Numbers doesn't work

I've tried multiple times now to copy data from a Google Docs into a Numbers spreadsheet, to no avail. I'm trying to copy two columns of data, about 150 rows long, and instead of it pasting into two columns, it pastes into a single column in Numbers.
Why is this? Is there a setting that affects how data is pasted into Numbers that I can change?

    BH,
It seems that Google and Apple are still on the "outs". I found that if you Paste the Google Docs cell range to LibreOffice, and then Copy and Paste to Numbers, all is well.
Don't try copying entire columns in Google Docs or LibreOffice, instead specify the range explicitly.
    Jerry

  • In Google Doc, Paste doesn't work with Dvorak -qwerty command.

Command V does a Command K instead. Everything else seems to work fine. So you can't paste on the Google Doc with a shortkey when you are on the DQ mode (Dvorak, qwerty command keys)

Sounds like a question for the Google Docs support people.

  • Creating a cfhttp multi part form post for google docs upload

    Hey all,
If you saw my last thread, you know I am working with google docs and uploading documents to it. Well I got basic document uploading working, but now I am trying to include meta data. Google requires you to include the metadata with the actual file data and seperate them by using a multi part form upload. I don't know exactly the process for doing so, but they have a handy code snippet of the desired results at
    http://code.google.com/apis/documents/docs/3.0/developers_guide_protocol.html#UploadingDoc s
So I am basically trying to mimic that payload, however I am continually getting an error stating that there are no parts in a multi part form upload.
    <errors xmlns='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005'><error><domain>GData</domain><code>InvalidEntryException</code><internalReason>No parts detected in multipart message</internalReason></error></errors>
to be exact. I am not really sure what I am doing wrong here. I figure it is one of two things, either I am not including the actual data in the payload properly (I am currently using a body type param for the payload, but I have also tried a formfield named content to deliver it. Neither worked). So maybe I need to do something else tricky there? The other thing which I am not reallly sure about is the content-length attribute. I don't know exactly how to calculate that, and I read in another forum that a content length attribute was messing that guy up. Right now I am just taking the lenght of the payload string and multiplying by 8 (to get the number of bytes for the entire payload) but hell if I know if that is right. It could be I just don't know how to set up the parts for the message, it seems pretty straight forward though. Just define a boundary in the content-type, then put two dashes before it wherever you define a new part, and two dashes trailing the last part.
Anyway, here is my code, any help is much appreciate. I'm a bit beyond my expertise here (not really used to trying to have to roll my own http requests, nevermind multipart post form data) so I'm kinda flailing around. Thanks again.

  • Uploading exported Excel file to Google Docs

I exported a spreadsheet as an Excel .xls file, but Google won't let me upload it giving me an error:
We're sorry, but we were unable to upload this document.
If you have the desktop word processor installed on this computer, there are two other easy ways to bring the file into Google Docs:
    Using the Clipboard
Open the document in the desktop word processor.
Type ⌘-A to select the contents of the entire document.
Type ⌘-C to copy it to the clipboard.
In Google Docs, create a new document.
When the Edit window appears, type ⌘-V to paste it in.
    Save as HTML
Open the document in the desktop word processor.
    Choose File > Save As...
In the dialog that appears, select Web Page (*.htm; *.html) for the "Save as type."
Save the file, and make a note of the file name and folder, as you'll need it next.
In Google Docs, choose Upload again from the main page.
This time, specify the html file you just made in the desktop word processor.
Using either of these approaches, you should now have the document open in Google Docs.

    Anyone else have this problem?
It seems Google doesn't like the Excel version that Numbers exports. The file will open fine in Excel and if I re-save it from Excel it will upload no problem to Google Docs.

  • HP LaserJet Professional CM1415fnw - eStorage print apps - Google Docs

    Hello HP,
Why there are only 10 apps available for my CM1415 multifunction printer. I would like to have eStorage app to work; Google docs or box.net and why not other apps like facebook too. The CM1415 has a beautiful 3" color touch screen but it has no use for this purpose -->why?. These apps are available to cheaper printer models too.
Google Docs app error message is "Not Available for this Printer" Is it coming to this printer in future?
    BR,
    Jarno

    Hello,
Thanks for the reply but you didn't answer to my question. I know how to change those apps, but the problem is not in that. The problem is that I bought the multifunction network machine so I could scan my documents to the internet but now I found out that it is not possible with my CM1415fnw multifunction network printer. It is sad, but cheaper Samsung and Canon can scan to at least network drive (and usb of course).
I found out that HP Finland doesn't know printers that are suitable to eStorage. So they cant help me. Who knows then if HP even doesn't know. Actually HP support first gave me instructions how to get it work but after few times double checks they said "sorry, no can do". I am not quite satisfied.
    I have these very "handy" apps;
    Web Sudoku
    WeatherNews
    DreamWorks...
    Disney
    HP Quick Forms
    Google Calendar (why this works?)
    Yahoo!
and F24 (news service in English, France and some other unknown language)
There are some other apps too  that I would like to have and I am confused that this price range multifunction machine (350-400 dollars) I cant have all the apps available.

  • Safari 5.1.5 not working with Google Docs

In a Google text doc, there is a problem with line spacing such that all the lines in the doc are stacked up on the first line making it unreadable and unusable. I've had this problem with the last few releases of Safari but the problem has just become worse.
If I click anywhere in the body of the doc I get:
         Google Docs error
This error has been reported to Google and we'll look into it as soon as possible.
Please try one of these interim solutions:
    Reload this page.
Download the document by right-clicking on it in the main document list and selecting "Export."
I'm running Safari in 64-bit so that's not the problem and switching back to 32-bit doesn't fix it.
I can view the original format of the doc with proper line spacing by selecing File > See original, but can't edit the doc at all.
Anybody come across a solution or work-around for this?
    Thanks,
    Paul

Try another browser, such as Chrome, Chromium, or Firefox.

  • Google Docs offline / Adobe Reader

I'm looking for a way to read PDF files in Galaxy Nexus. I've installed Google Docs and Adobe Reader. Google Docs allows offline caching; but I'm not sure where it saves the file in the device. When I connect it to a computer, the folder tree doesn't show any special folder for documents. Same goes for Adobe Reader. Can anyone help me here? I just want to copy some pdf files from my computer to the GN so that I can read them on the device.
Secondly, is there any app for taking notes? Spare evernote etc. Something local, no online sync required.
    Thanks.

I will assume that you are using the Print function of Word to produce PDFs of Word files. Even then, I fail to understand what do you mean by "converting Word figures" that "disappear" after conversion, while "all other pictures/figures appear with no problem". Are you trying to say that, when convereting to PDFs one (or more) Word documents containing more than one image, one or more of these are not to be found in the PDF file? If so, I would suspect a problem with that/those image(s).

  • Google Docs - Any good reference material?

    Hello,
I have seen a few post on using Google maps, but I wondered if anyone has experimented (as I did yesterday) with Google docs and gadgets. In particular, I wondered if a google spreadsheet could be used as an alternative to xml data (well, it would, in efffect, BE the xmal data I guess).
I am also keen to understand how elements on a google spreadsheet such as charts and gadgets could be used in xcelsius. I have a dashboard wich references - successfully - a google chart on a spreadsheet - but that is not very useful: static, not looking particularly beauful, it doesn't do much!
Would you please share your experience or list any sources you may have about googles docs and xcelsius?
    Thanks a lot!

  • Google Docs issues

Being the only real editing capability, I've been using Google docs alot. I'm having several usability issues: Text selection issues: similar to my Evernote problem, selecting text doesn't work very well at all. Double-tap doesn't work and press and hold only seems to give me a paste option. Similar to evernote, the paste bubble is up near the left corner, away from the text I'm trying to select. Keyboard issues: this is probably endemic among tablets, but i've tried using the google docs edit options cut/copy/paste and it says the browser doesn't have access to my clipboard. The workaround it suggests is to use Ctrl-c/x/v instead which doesn't work without a ctrl key. One solution would be to add a simulated gesture area right below the keyboard. ampersand issue: I tried to use an ampersand, which google docs interpretted as Shift-up because it selected the text from the current character and up to the previous line. Left parenthesis seems to be shift-down. escape key: I went to full screen view and a popup indicated I needed to press the escape key to get my menu back. No escape key = close window and reopen doc.
