Does not compile on LV 2013, but works fine on LV 2012 SP1
I have an FPGA VI that compiles without issue with LV 2012 SP1, but does not work with LV 2013 and Xilinx Tools version 14.4. Why is this happening? I have attached the compiler log file.

2012 SP1 and 2013 both use different versions of the xilinx compilation tools. As we don't produce that software it's hard to say exactly what may have changed in their implementation that is causing the compilation to fail. A quick look at the logs uncovers this error during the placement phase:
ERROR:Place:120 - There were not enough sites to place all selected components.
Some of these failures can be circumvented by using an alternate algorithm
(though it may take longer run time). If you would like to enable this
algorithm please set the environment variable XIL_PAR_ENABLE_LEGALIZER to 1
and try again
It looks to me like this error stems from this:
ERROR:Place:543 - This design does not fit into the number of slices available
in this device due to the complexity of the design and/or constraints.
Which is a simple resource overmapping error. It looks like your design is rather large based on the rest of the logs. Am I correct in assuming this? During the compilation, what do the pre-synthesis device utilization reports estimate?
With large designs it is common to sometimes have successful compilations and sometimes not due to the random nature of the compiler during the place and route phases. Does the design consistently fail in 2013 accross several compilation attempts?
If you continue to see consistent failures, Xilinx's support documentation for this error suggests using setting an environment variable within the compile tools to use a different algorithm in the P&R phase. According to the documentation, this algorithm may take longer to execute, however it should improve the likelihood that your design successfully compiles.
Additionally, if the design is just over utilization, you may benefit most by searching your design for areas that could be quickly and easily optimized to decrease resource utilization. I hope this information helps, please post back if you have any further questions.

Drive does not read blank DVD's (but reads all else)
I have a set of DVD+RW's and DVD+R's that when I put them into my drive, they do not pop up on my desktop. When I insert blank CD's, they work, and when I insert music CD's and movie DVD's, they all work too.
But the wierdest part is DVD Studio Pro will burn to the blank DVD's, even if finder doesn't see them.
I have my defaults set to "open in finder" for new disks. Any idea why this ain't workin?
I got the default CD/DVD drive that came with my macUPDATE: After hours of searching and reviewing this problem, it appears it may be due to third party burning programs, however this poses another problem. My laptop came with Roxi EMC 8 which i removed some time ago, it appears using other third party burning software causes comfilcts which may be causing my problem. I contacted Roxio but they have taken the "we are not able to help" stance due to the software being an OEM and came with teh laptop and they say I need to contact HP, which i obviously have with no success so far. Due to me removing Roxio and not having a disc to reinstall Roxio to see if this corrects the problem (and at this point i would just use the Roxio software reluctantly just so i can have my laptop back) I am stuck and it appears no one knows anything on how to fix it, Roxio will not help but I am hoping HP will since according to Roxio, this needs to be supported through HP. HP, can you please help me, i cannot use my CD/DVD drive most of the time and it appears you are my only hope. Here is what i got from the Roxio website about how it needs to be handled by the manufacturer, in this case HP: "If you have an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) version of Roxio software, please note that it is supported by the vendor that bundled or installed the Roxio product with their hardware or software. For more information about OEM support policies, please read the article What is OEM software? " Please help HP, you have to have an answer to this, is there a place I can download the Roxio software that came with my laptop or is there a Roxio Uninstaller that would completely remove the program as there are bits still threre, my laptop is a HP DV7-1245dx. please help.........

LaqbVIEW 7.1.1 does not find a specific breakpoint, but stops execution there

I've got a small test LV7.11 Vi that opens one of a set of data files and loads it into a FG.
It is a flat sequence structure containing the code. Works OK.
Some hours ago I debug'd this using breakpoints. I've run into a situation, where the sequence is surrounded by a red frame signaling a breakpoint. LabVIEW breaks execution whenever it reaches the sequence.
Now that I have fixed the code I want to remove the breakpoint, but cannot. Neither clicking it with the 'Set/clear breakpoint' tool nore Browse or Search fo breakpoints does find any: 'No items found'.
Has anyone seen this.? How can I get rid of it? 'Just' disabling debugging?

Firefox 4 isn't supported, Firefox 5 was security update for Firefox 4. Firefox 3.6.x versions are still supported by Mozilla, so it would be best to stick with that for the time being for your BlackBoard website.

I configured MySQL in TestStand and making a query in TestStand like this:
Command :=> "SELECT * FROM crc_table ; " or "SELECT CRC_Value FROM crc_table ; " returns the total number of records without any errors.
But when I add the "where" clause

I get the error as:

I tried the same syntax in MySQL Query Browser and got the correct result:

I am not completely sure if this is the cause of the error but it is something that will cause problems if it is not fixed. In your SQL statement you must properly concatenate your strings with your variables. In the statement you posted you were simply putting the variable names in the string, not actually pulling their values. To do so properly your query should look something like this:
"SELECT crc_table.CRC_Value FROM crc_table where crc_table.File_ID='"+Locals.File_ID+"' and crc_table.Version_ID = '"+ Locals.Version_ID+"' and crc_table.Link_ID = '"+Locals.Link_ID+"' ;"
This way we are using the values of the variables in conjunction with the text strings. In this case the usage of single quotes (') casts the variables as strings so you may need to change this character sequence, but from the second example you gave I think that your variables are of type string so this should work fine.

Autofill in Google Toolbar does not appear to be working with Firefox 4 - It aways gives the message "Autofill not available for this page". This is happening on pages I have used Autofill on before upgrading to FF4 from Firefox 3.5.x
i did not see a solution posted - I tired what I read. Going back to an old version may solve the problem but it is a stupid solution so I have yet to do that.

Uninstall version 5, then Google "google toolbar version 4", follow the link to FileHippo.com, and download and install the last version 4. When you reinstall it, make sure you turn off the option to perform automatic updates.

Google Toolber does not work with Firefox 4
I just downloaded Firefox 4 and Google Toolbar does not work. I removed and re-downloaded it and it still does not work. I can't even uninstall via the wrench. Is there a version of toolbar that works with Firefox 4?
I am having trouble with the Google search bar. The Google tool bar works fine for me.

I have upgraded to Lion OS only to find that my NAS (Iomega Home Media Network hard drive) does not work. It tells me that it is not configured. Are there any solutions . Have Iomega sorted out the problem?

My IPAD 2 is freezing on the principal internet access page. It comes up through a light grey filter and does not respond to any touch or keys. All other internet dependent functions seem to be working fine (mail, various APPs). How do I "unfreeze"?

Go to Settings-Safari and Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.
Another thing you can try is to double-click the Home button. A row of recent Apps will line up along the bottom of the screen. Scroll across and find the Safari icon. Press on it for a couple of seconds until it starts to wiggle. A red minus sign will appear on each icon. Press on Safari's minus sign to remove it. This may clear its memory of the bad Google page.
If this does not help, try resetting (rebooting) the iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

Finder & Dock do not work - Mac Hard Drive does not appear on Desktop
Until yesterday, my powerbook was working properly.
This morning, I wanted to use it and I had the following problems after login.
1/ My Mac Hard drive does not appear on my dekstop
2/ My dock appears but no icon works when I click on them. So, I can't open finder. I have no response.
3/ Furthermore, my top bar (with clock, login name, Airport icon...) appears but it is frozed.
I try several solutions as :
- rebooting in safe mode,
- rebooting, with in the same time, hold different keys (option, apple, p & R)...
As of today, no solution works.

Ok, that's good enough. You may be able to repair this with the 10.5.8 Combo Update This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.

Also, your getting very low on disk space. Try to copy some of the data off to other media. *Do it before you try applying the combo, you'll need the space.*

can somebody please help me fix this issue, i have been sitting at my computer all last night and this morning trying to figure it out. It could be the hardrive or anything really i just need to get it working. Alot of important things that need to be done using this computer and i am freaking out.
My computer suddenly decides not to work and turns on but does not go past the grey apple screen with the loading wheel.. it will not go to my desktop. What should i do?Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
Or if you are running 10.7 Lion, boot from the recovery partition (Command +R on boot) and use Disk Utility to repair your OS 10.7 partition.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead. -

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
