Google Play and entitlement

We have successfully built and tested an Android app that when the test user signs on, the entitled folios display correctly with "download". We also have single issues available through Google Play and this feature works as well.
The issue we are having is when we load the app directly to our device, the sign in and entitlement works fine, but when we load the app through the Beta tester on Google Play, when the test user signs in, the entitlement does not show up, only singe copy purchases.
All the other features are working correctly.
We are using an Enterprise version of DPS
Thanks
Christopher Huber

Yes we are using the  custom storefront.
Our entitlement is working correctly, i have tested it without the storefront and it works fine.

  • Google Play and Bill my Telstra account

If you're a Telstra mobile customer with an Android device, you can now bill your Google Play purchases (such as apps, games, movies, books and even music) to your Telstra account. Or if you're on Telstra Pre-Paid you can pay for your Google Play purchases from your main account balance, providing you have sufficient funds available.
Charge an app to your Telstra bill or pay with your pre-paid recharge credit
You will firstly need to have a registered Google Play account. Then follow the below steps to successfully bill an app, movie, game, book or music to your Telstra account:
    Step 1
Choose your app, book, movie, music or game
    Step 2
    Click Accept and Buy
    Step 3
    Select Bill my Telstra account
    Step 4
    Confirm your billing details
    Step 5
Click Accept and Buy Once your payment has been authorised you can then open the app, game, movie, music or book
Note:To purchase via your Pre- Paid account you will need sufficient funds available from your main account balance to cover your purchase. You are not able to use your Bonus Cap Credit to purchase apps, books, movies, games or music.
Things you should know about 'bill my Telstra account
You can set your spend limit to $0 which will grey out the 'Bill my Telstra' account option. You will still be able to pay for items via credit card. You will need to call us on 13 22 00 to set up or change the spend limits.
Your 'Bill my Telstra account' is greyed out because the content that you are about to purchase has exceeded the limit for carrier billing which is set to $100. Please use a credit card to complete your purchase. Alternatively you can increase the per month limit by calling us on 125 111. This can be increased to $500 per month but has to be done in $100 increments. Pre-paid customers have a $500 per month content spend limit.
Your 'Bill my Telstra account' is greyed out when the content that you are about to purchase has exceeded the content spend limit for a one off' app, book, game, music or movie purchase using Bill my Telstra account as a payment option. This limit is set to $100 and can't be increased. If you want to purchase items over this amount you need to use a credit card.
You can set your 'Bill my Telstra account' for Google Play or other BigPond content services spend limit to $0. This will restrict the service from purchasing any app, movie, book, game, music or BigPond content service like AFL Live.
Google Play can identify you as a Telstra customer from your SIM card, so even if you bring your own device (BYO) to Telstra you'll still be able to access Bill my Telstra account.
Bill my Telstra account won't work outside of Australia. You can however use your credit card to purchase apps. Make sure you set up International Roaming before you leave Australia and or take up an International Roaming Data Pack. Pre-Paid customers international roaming is automatically activated.
Bill my Telstra account for Google Play content includes in-app purchases.
Free downloads or credit card transactions will not appear on your bill, only charges using 'Bill my Telstra account' or any chargeable Google play transactions will appear on your bill.
You can check your list of purchases within your Google Play account. An email receipt from Google Play with an Order Number should also be sent to you when you make a purchase. Otherwise you can check your Telstra unbilled data by contacting us on 125 111; you can also view Pre-Paid usage - however, while our systems update regularly, as data is coming in from third parties, you should not necessarily expect data to always appear in our systems on the same day.
Bill my Telstra account for Digital Content Services is only available on devices with a SIM (e.g. not T-Hub), so you should have PIN security set. You also have the option of setting Google Play to request a log in for every purchase attempt.
Things you should know about downloading apps and downloaded apps, including app refunds
If you are logged in with your Gmail, then all the content you have downloaded (both paid and free) can be transferred between devices.
If you are moving from Pre-paid and have excess credit, you can use the credit to purchase Google Apps and transfer them to your new device before you migrate off your pre-paid service. But remember you need to choose an Android device on the Telstra network.
Once an app is installed, customers may be required to pay for premium elements such as live streaming, live events, live traffic for Navigation, credits for gaming etc. These are in-app purchases. A paid purchase is an outright payment to purchase that app, and that happens upfront before downloading.
Bill my Telstra account is limited to transactions under $100 each. A lot of shopping apps are free to download and these apps usually allow you to purchase large price items via credit card, Pay Pal and other new payment technologies due to the large dollar amount.
You have 15 minutes to return an App you don't want after the transaction and download has completed. There is a refund button within the app and process you need to follow to return the app. You won't be charged as long as you return the app within 15 minutes. This only supports App, Book, Movie, Game or music purchases, not in-App purchases like AFL Live or NRL Live monthly subscriptions.
You need to contact the app developer first, which can be done via email within the App. If the app doesn't work for your Android device they are obliged to agree to refund the money. If they do agree to a refund, a process between the app developer, Google and Telstra will be triggered.
If the app developer rejects your request, you can contact Telstra directly by calling the customer care number on your Telstra bill and we will discuss options to refund your money. However, you must first contact the developer and provide proof they have rejected the claim.
Telstra processes refunds from Google weekly. If a refund was requested within a week of the customer's bill cycle, it may not appear until next month's bill cycle.
If there are multiple refunds in a month (e.g. for 2 games), the TOTAL refunds for the month will appear as ONE Google Play line item on the Telstra bill. This just appears as a generic 'Google Play' refund and does not name the individual items purchased. This is different to purchases which each appear as individual line items with the name of the item purchases.
Charging for Pre-paid is real time. If the application isn't up to standard and you return it you will have the recharge credit applied back to your account but only if you return it within 15 minutes It may take up to seven days for billing data to appear on your account but it should usually appear within 24 hours. Our systems update bill data every few hours.Google's advice is that billing data may come through in up to seven days but usually this happens within one day. Purchases made less than seven days before your bill cycle start date may not appear until the next month's bill.

  • Google Play and Google Services errors on Moto E

Hello,  I have a Moto E phone which has recently stopped working properly. I keep getting error popups saying 'Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped' , 'Google services has stopped working', 'Google play has stopped working' and 'google apps has stopped working'.  I have also been receiving multiple copies of text messages which were sent to me yesterday, the battery is draining quickly and overheating, I can't send anything by bluetooth and I can't access games. Pages also close on me after the popups appear. I have tried different 'fixes' that are mentioned online - I have tried clearing the caches of all the apps, running the phone in safe mode, uninstalling google play services (it wouldn't let me as it is an 'administrator', which it won't let me change), resetting all app preferences, disabling and re-enabling different apps and turning off/on wi-fi. I have also seen the fix saying that I should turn on 'wake up' or something in the privacy settings, but I don't have it. So basically, does anyone out there have any ideas on how I can fix this? I don't want to factory reset if I can help it as I can't back them up, send them to other people or upload them to the computer (I have spent the last few hours trying).  This phone is only a month old, and I have absolutely no idea what has caused this trouble. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you =)

    Hi ,
    Thanks for joining the Community.
It is likely that one particular app is causing the problem. Try deleting and re-installing any app that triggers the error message when you are using it.
Let me know if this helps.
    Thanks

  • Amazon APP Store Won't Load and Other Google Play Programs

    Hi Blackberry Community,
I recently upgraded from a BB Z30 to a BB Passport.
I am encountering problems with the Amazon APP Store and Instagram downloaded from Google Play Store.
Whenever I run these programs, the following error message appears.
Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped
I don't know how to solve this problem as I never encountered it in my BB Z30 when I updated to OS 10.3.1
    Thanks.

@Paullestat I've not encountered this message and I run many android apps from both Google Play and Amazon.
Did this happen after your 10.3.1 update of the Passport? There have been a few strange things happening with the update that requires a reload of the OS to fix.
I would first reboot your device by holding the Lock/Power button for 10 seconds (after the LED blinks), or the Up/Down volume buttons for 20 seconds.
If that does not solve it you may want to reload the OS with Link. Here's an article: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?externalId=KB34045&sliceId=2&cmd=displayKC&d...
Backup first, and if you have encrypted your device and SD card, decrypt those BEFORE the backup, or all data will be lost.

  • In-App Purchases for Google Play

    Hello!
I created in-app purchases for the magazine CHIP UA, but the purchases won't go.
In the DPS analytics there are many "purchases starts", but no finished purchase.
    What i've done:
    - Google Checkout Account
    - Put the License Key in the Admin Tool in DPS
    - Created In-App Purchases with unique names. When publishing through DPS, there are the same, as in the Google Play panel.
Maybe i forgot some activity, that is virtal for publishing In-Apps?
BTW, the free versions are published without problems.
    Thank you,
    Andrey

We are facing the same problem and have been in contact with the Adobe DPS Gold Support. They got all our login information for the DPS accounts and Google Play and told us that everything is configured correctly. I have to say that we aren't 100% about the correct tax settings in the merchant account, otherwise everything is verified and configured. But still, the in app purchases for the retail folios aren't showing up in the application. Once we are logged in, the entitlement works. It's only for the single issue purchase, those folio aren't shown to a user who isn't logged in. The application isn't live yet but in beta testing stage.

  • How do I undo the damage from Google Play?

I am not sure which forum to send this to. Please refer me to the correct forum if I cannot be helped here.
I used Google Play, a free cloud where I can store  ITunes songs. I uploaded all 4500 songs over 4 days, but now my IMac is totally messed up!
I never had any problems until this Google Play.
I have an IMac and the operating system is Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Everything was fine until I started using  "Google Play" and it's Music Manager.
I used "Google Play" and sent (uploaded) all my 4500 ITunes songs to the cloud called Google Play. This took 4 days to upload, because Google Play is a very slow program.  My IMac has been messed up since:
    1)  Everything now is super - super  slow.
    2) Cannot restart or shut down my iMac computer. Get a message that I must quit Safari first.  But I can't quit safari because the quit safari option in the menu is always grayed out now. So the only way I can shut down or restart is to manually shut off the computer, (via the button in the back of the IMac)  which may harm it. And when I click the button or switch in the back to turn the iMac back on, the problems and the trash dialogue boxes (see #3 below) remain the same.  They do not go away.
    3) cannot move anything to the trash. (I am trying to empty the cache in the library to speed up the computer.) I just get dozens of trash dialogue boxes that say "preparing to move to trash" but this goes on forever and nothing is moved to the trash. And I can't get rid of these dialogue boxes that say "preparing to move to trash". There are loads of them and they stay forever, even if I shut down the computer and turn it on again.
Some things I try to move to trash but I get a "copy" dialogue box with the message "Prepare to move to desktop" and that message goes on forever also.
Or it says "Preparing to move to "com.apple.AddressBook" but nothing happens.
(the last one - "com.apple.AddressBook"- is one I had tried to move to the trash).
Shutting off the computer does not help. These trash dialogue boxes are back when I turn on the computer.
    4) Trying to speed up computer by going into Utilities (Finder/Go/Utilities) and then clicking on Disk Utility, then McIntosh HD, and then "verify disk". This is supposed to speed up the computer. But when I go into Utilities, the Utilities dialogue box is empty - there is no "Disk Utility" to click on. There is nothing in the dialogue box, except a small spinning circle in the bottom right of the dialogue box that looks like it is trying to do something, but nothing ever happens.
    5) Can no longer save documents. If I try to save a new document (click file/save or save as)  the new document does not show up in my documents folder.
Maybe the 4 days of uploading  filled my IMac with all kinds of spyware and that messed things up.  Who knows?
I do have Intego VirusBarrier 6, and have had that and their previous version VirusBarrier 5 for a few years. I ran a full scan yesterday and it found only one new virus besides the 2 I previously had and that were already in quarantine  I put the new one  in quarantine too.
Is there anything I can do?

If I use the Google box, then when I copy the text from Google, it's plain text? Is that correct?
I just used the EditText method and it worked. Thanks

  • How do I find my ringtones I just purchased via Google Play?

I just purchased ringtones on my Droid Razr via Google Play and downloaded them to my phone, but I cannot find them on the phone....  Can someone help, please?

        peggyalex,
Let's locate these songs! I have a different song for all my contacts in my phone. When you are in the Google Play Store are you getting the music from the Music Section. Or did you download a 3rd party application from the play store? Since you have downloaded these songs have you gone into the Play Music application on the phone? Should be a goldish colored headphones? Do you see the music in there? Please keep me posted.

  • Error: "This version of the application is not configured for billing through Google Play."

We are preparing update of app for Google Play and during testing of new version (just downloaded as APK from ftp to device) we've encountered this error. In short it means, that we can't buy new issues, nor download previously bought one.
I'm not able to find in Adobe docs any info about this so far, so i would like to ask for some comment.
What i've found on internet is, that this is some kind of Google Play thing, that after app will uploaded to Google Play and correctly set-up. But would like to hear from Adobe, that this will just work after publishing on Google Play.
    Thanks
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
you do not have to publish the app to test and whatever result you have during testing will be what you have once the app is published.
On that basis we cannot guarantee the correct functionality if your current tests are not satisfactory. However, this issue is clearly a Google console setup ...
In the Android developer console, Can you check that you have the 'Licensing & in-ap billing' section completed with publick key (should be there automatically though)
.. as well as the correct test accounts?
I would also check that the APK 'product details' page is complete (including 'Consent' at the bottom of the page).

  • HT2905 Duplicate songs from Google Play download

I use Google's Google Play and I made the mistake of Downloading my Library from the Google play Music Manager in my (early 2011) MacBook Pro's System Preferences after I already had my music library in iTunes so now I have a duplicate of every single song and not sure how to delete them. I tried using the the advice offered on here where I sort all music based on DATE but every song has the same date and about the same time so that won't work for me. Other then downloading a paid program I'm not sure what my options here are. That being said, let me know if anyone know what options other then paying for a program to do this for me or worse... having me click on every single duplicate song individually until I finish?
    Thank you

If you encoded your music in iTunes, it's probably encoded using AAC files rather than MP3. Google re-encodes all music into MP3 before it downloads your library. Right click in the sort columns of your iTunes music library and add "Kind" to the sort list. You will be able to see which ones are AAC, Purchased AAC, etc. and which ones are MPEG. Delete all the MPEG ones because those are from google.
This won't help much if your music was encoded using MP3 instead of AAC.
You can also run a file search using Finder on your iTunes music directory and just delete the files that were created by Google.

  • Google Play Music not playing on Bluetooth connect

I have a SONY E2033 EG4 DUAL, I used to have a Samsung S5. On my Samsung and all other Android phones I have had, my music playlist would auto-start once connected to the car bluetooth. From a google search (ie, "android autoplay music bluetooth") all listings are how to prevent Auto-Play, so I assume this is the default behaviour. With my SONY phone, I literally have to pull the phone out of my pocket, start Google Play and hit Play. The car controls do not work by default. The bluetooth connection is working OK, but for some reason the controls are not being forwarded to Google Play Music until I start the app manually. Is there another SONY app which is taking the requests by default ? How can I override this behaviour ?

  • Find link to app on google play

I am about to upload an app for Google Play and I need the url for the App, to be able to create postcards with QR codes.
So the app is not published yet
In iTunes connect, you can find the link as soon as you have created the app description, and when you right click the view in store button
However in Google Play it seems harder to find that link
Heres an exsample from the Google Play Developer help guide on how the links syntax is, the are referring to info in manifest file.
    Syntax
    http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=<package_name>
    Exsample
    http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.maps
Question is will it get the package name from the App ID field in dps app builder?
So i just need to add it their and then i can figure out the url
So in dps app builder if in the field App ID  write com.company.summerholiday.in.sweden
    then the url will be
    http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.summerholiday.in.sweden
I need to be 100% sure

Yes, you can enter this in the App id section in DPS App Builder. When you upload and publish the App, the App id will display in your Android developer account as well along with the App name.
Thus if you use App id=com.company.summerholiday.in.sweden, URL wil be http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.summerholiday.in.sweden

  • App Distribution on Google Play

We've successfully launched our magazines on Google Play, and I have some questions about distribution and subscriptions. I'm an Enterprise user and asked for help from Gold Support, but their answers to my questions were vague at best. So I'm turning to the DPS community to find out what other publishers are doing.
I understand that DPS doesn't currently support Google Play subscriptions, nor does it support push notifications. Our magazines are free, and I can't set up in-app billing for a product that costs nothing. How then do publishers of free magazines let their readers know when a new folio is ready for download from Google Play? Am I missing something?
Secondly, how do readers find your app in the Play Store? When I search for my magazines using their exact titles, I get 250 results and none of them are mine. If I search using one of main keywords in the title, they show up as Nos. 64 and 67 in the search results. How are my readers supposed to find the app? No one would have the patience to scroll through that many apps to find it.

Text push notification is something that is in the works for our native Android viewer which should help with the discovery issue you mention once a reader has installed your application. It won't be available in release 31, but hopefully we'll have it sometime in release 32.
As for the search results problem, I feel your pain. I think it gets better over time as more people download your app. "Adobe Content Viewer" didn't show up on the first several pages of results once we released the new native version. It took weeks before it started to bubble up higher in the results

  • Can I use the same Adobe ID for Amazon AppStore and Google Play?

Hello!  We've been on the iPad for two years now and have finally taken the leap designing a version of our magazine for Amazon's Kindle Fire lineup.  I'm curious whether we can share an Adobe ID between Amazon AppStore and Google Play, so that all of our Android folios stay in sync whether the user is on Amazon hardware or another vendor.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

Yes, you can use the same Adobe ID (Title ID) for both Amazon Appstore and Google Play Store. In DPS App Builder, create two separate apps, each time specifying the target store (in the App Builder, Google Play is still called Android Market). However, I do not recommend that you use the same Adobe ID for iOS and Google/Amazon unless you're offering custom entitlement (Enterprise only).
One key difference between Kindle Fire viewers and Android viewers is that Kindle Fire viewers don't display the nav bar. Here's a detailed article about targeting Android/Amazon devices:
