I get this error message: Something is preventing Firefox from updating securely. Please make sure that you have the latest version of Firefox. I have uninstalled and re-installed. It did not work. Support tells me to click on Firefox at the top. I have no word at the top which says Firefox. I have the Firefox icon.
This issue can be caused by the presence of leftover files in the Firefox program folder (defaults\pref) like a file firefox.js that overrides the update URL with a wrong link.
Do a clean reinstall and be sure to remove the Firefox program folder.

Every time I tried updating iTunes, there was an error. The last time, I was not able to start it up again, so I uninstalled iTunes and tried to install it again, but it just won't work.

It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

A green bar slides across the monitor announcing that the update is being downloaded. When I then assume it is being installed I get the following error: The update could not be installed. Thanks for the info about Trojan. It may be the problem. Meanwhile I went to Admin/Owner side and did some cleaning -- including trying to reload my Favorite/Bookmarks that have always carried forth from previous levels of Windows XP and earlier.
The new computer here did not grab the Bookmarks from the previous, and yesterday I thought I had them loaded, and today went to Worker-Bee side and they are not showing.
About those add-ons... I have no idea, but think I got everything up to date yesterday. I will look at your earlier reply tomorrow or this weekend when I have more time at home to learn from it.

My release is installed not in default drive C:\. I installed in the other Partition on my PC.

When I quit Photoshop CS6, the following message appears:

If I try to change the Workspace in PS6 from Essentials to any other Workspace, the following messsage appears:

I have checked the Sharing and Permissions section of the "Get Info" panel accessed from the Finder and I have set Read and Write Privileges for my user account for Photoshop CS6. System and Admin are also set to Read and Write.
I have a MacBook Pro with OS X Version 10.9.5 and have all available updates for Photoshop CS6, Lightroom 5 and Bridge CS6.
I tried uninstalling the program and downloading it again and reinstalling, but nothing changed.

thanks for your suggestion. that is the same advice that i got from the geek squad at the local apple store.
i did what he instructed but it did not work. i have since called apple support twice regarding the problem. they had me start the computer in safe mode, going into the library and deleting a phlist file (i think) do a repair disk permissions, do a repair disk, empty the cache, and finally the last guy told me to unplug the computer from the wall socket and restart.
when i mentioned the advice you and the apple store guy gave me they sort of poo pooed it saying that was done when they did all this other stuff.
i am now waiting for the download to be completed to see if unplugging the computer had any effect.

Windows 7 64bit I've run out of Ideas am so sick of seeing that stupid blue wheel could puke. I have shut down my firewall, run the cc clean program numerous times , hunted down and deleted files and registry entries that cc clean logged as not being
