GPS still active after turning it off

The gps works good, few seconds to fix the location but when I turn it off the gps still runs in background eating the juice... The toggle is turned off but if I check the battery life I always see the gps alive!
How to solve, except rebboting the phone everytime??

Usually even if you take the tick out of "GPS Satellites", google apps still can access the gps if you had granted it permission, the best way to completely stop GPS is to go to Settings>Location Services and turn off "Access to my location" this will completely shut down GPS from everything. Just restart the phone after that and check if that solved your problem

Ipad2, I can not sign in to imessage after turning it off and doing a hard reboot. Upon entering my info it states no network connection, but I can use it o surf in Safari and iter websites. Any suggestions. Went on with Apple, they think its my network.

2630 keeps discharging after turning bluetooth off

On regular use (i.e. without using bluetooth), I can use my Nokia2630 for several days without recharging. Sometimes I use a bluetooth headset connected for about an hour and then disconnect the headset and turn bluetooth off. The bluetooth indicator disappears, but the battery keeps on discharging and is empty after less than 12 hours.
If I turn bluetooth off and turn the phone off and back on again, there is no problem.
Summarized, after turning bluetooth off, the phone keeps using a lot of battery power.
Is this a techical failure, firmware issue, ...
Suggestions pleas?

I think might the bluetooth manager did not shutdown properly. and so judging from that, the battery depleted very fast but the battery indicator might not detect it as quick as it should. It happens all the time. Even my phone does.

Above if battery pull/soft reset doesn't help. If it's boot looped may need new equipment

Notebook showing network activity after turned off

Hi, after turn off my notebook HP Probook 4540s with connected ethernet cable and power source, the RJ-45 connector on my notebook still indicates(LED shines) like there is a network transmission in progress. If I disconnects ethernet cable, indication stops. When I reconnect it back, it starts indicating agian. I thought it was by bios settings something like boot on lan, but it doesn't seem so. Is it common for RJ-45 port to indicates even when is computer turned off? Also I have d-link router, maybe is it a d-link setting?

"lost" my iPad. Will the GPS still work after battery dies? Also, how can I get the serial number for police report?

Please help! I "lost" my iPad at a local store. The GPS on my phone shows the iPad is still in the store (over 24 hours.) I've searched every square inch of the store and cannot find it. I fear it may have been "stashed" by an employee. The police need a serial number for a report. How do I get that? Will I still be able to locate it via GPS after the battery dies?

Did you register it with Apple? If not, you would have had to write it down. Once the device goes out of wifi or if the thief turns wifi off...its gone. All they have to do is restore it as new, you wont be able to detect it again. Sounds bleak I know but its hard to get it back once its gone...no matter what Apple says.
I really hope it turns up...I hate thiefs. Best of luck.

Season Pass - Still active after the season is completed

Some time ago I purchased a pass for the first season of Breaking Bad.
After seven episodes the season was officially over.
However, the season pass remains active (it still is).
When I want to switch to a different iTunes store (different counry), iTunes tells me that it is not possible as long as I have active season passes.
Is a season pass supposed to expire/end automatically after the respective season is complete?
If it is supposed to be this way, how can I close/end my still active season pass.

My bad, forgot to put all the required info in the post. Sorry about that.
Database 10.2.0.2.0 - enterprise, Linux OS. I have enough SGA (64gb), PGA, undo, temp tablespace space.
The select is a "normal" read only select that needs to read millions of blocks from data files. The main table is partitioned and the waits are on reading data from partitions. In v$session the main session and the child processes are marked as killed.
In v$lock I see that the wait is on db read scan. Everything is working. That's actually my issue.
Why it's still querying data/reading from disk when I killed all the sessions.
Doesn't Oracle stop the processes associated with a killed session?
I killed the session: alter system kill session 'sid,serial';
Do you think "alter system disconnect session 'sid,serial' immediate" is better?
What I don't understand is how can I stop fast (ok I get that it can not happen in a few seconds) a query that is only read only that is running for too long. When I kill a session I was expecting the processes associated with it to stop. In a update/insert/delete, the server will wait for the rollback, but this is not changing data.
If you think more debug is necessary I will upload on Monday AWR and all the statistics I collected. I am not in the office now.

Saved texts deleted after turning iMessage off

All my saved texts were deleted after I turned iMessage off. Anyone know why and how to get messages back without restoring?

If I try my app with the DefaultGrayPhone or QwertyDevice, it works ok, the data keeps stored after a turn the mobile off, like the DefaultColorPhone used to work.Looks like you're using WTK - right? When I had problems like you describe, I typically cleaned up appdb folder.
appdb folder is usually located in WTK installation directory. In some versions it could be placed somewhere in "user documents" directory.
Typically, I simply removed "DefaultColorPhone" subfolder of appdb. To be on a safer side, you better make a backup copy of this folder prior to its deletion.

Data deleted after turning emulator off

Hi Everybody,
I developed a MIDP app that (among other things) stores a username and password, so you don't have to type them every time. This code was working fantastic, but I think I had a problem with the emulator. Yesterday morning, the username and pass were stored in the mobile emulator (DefaultColorPhone), no matter if I turned the emulator on and off, they kept stored anyway. Yesterday afternoon, while I was storing the user name and password, the computer went off. And since that moment, the username and password are not stored any longer after I turn the mobile off. If I start and exit the app (withouth turning off the emulator), the data is stored properly, but after I turn it off, the data disapears (store.getNumRecords() returns zero). I believe something got damaged, but I don't know how to fix it. I already deleted de db and create it again, but nothing changed.

Can't reboot after turning PC off.

Hello,
my mobo is the MSI P45 Neo-F with the original BIOS (1.0?). From the very installation I have had to move the CMOS jumper in order to clear it and be able to boot the PC. After that everything works fine until I turn it off and I have to do this all over again. Has someone the same problem? Does it require a BIOS update or is it a problem with the battery?

You may need BIOS update, that can cause your issue too:

IPhone keeps crashing after turning it off

I got a question. I just bought my new iPhone 3GS from AT&T couple days ago. It has 3.1.2 firmware. Every time I install some new apps,games, ringtones, wallpapers, or anything, it crashes after I turn it off and then turn it on. After turning it on, it shows a little arrow and iTunes icon, telling me to connect it to the computer. After I plug it in, it tells me that: "itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode", and I have to recover it, and start from nothing again. How can I fix it?

Why is inventory count Doc's status still active after posting difference

Sounds like inventory management.. I found document is still active through MI02 after I am done with posting difference through MI20.
Here is what I did,
MI31 create inventory count sheet (100000207)for warehouse
M104 Enter inventory count
Mi11 recount for some items in 100000207
Mi20 post difference
Question: why 100000207 is still active since I alreay completed posting difference? Now the only option I have to deactive is to delete it, however when I am trying to do so, system give me a warning sign saying deletion will errase the evidence to posting difference. Is there any steps I missed so 10000207 is still active?
