Granddaughter's Apple ID seems to be "locked" into app updates.
My granddaughter's Apple ID seems to be "locked" into the login for my app updates. I don't know her password and she is interstate. In settings I have re-logged myself in repeatedly, but when I go to do my app updating (or installing new) it brings up HER Apple ID and asks for her password, and there seems to be no way once there to change to MY Apple ID and/or "forget" her Apple ID. Any help appreciated, thanks.
My iPad doesn't have "settings>store". It has "settings> iTunes & App Stores". I have been in there and because I have logged out repeatedly and logged back in with my Apple ID and password it always shows that it's logged in to MY profile. But as I explained in my post, when I go to either do my app updates or try to install a new app I can't because it always comes up with my granddaughter's login, and there appears to be NO WAY at that point to input my Apple ID login instead :( Thanks anyway :)

Because you need to buy iLife 08 or newer on DVD first. If you're using iDVD 05, you probably have a PowerPC Mac and can't use iLife 11.

Okay, basically I had a Iphone 4S, but the glass cracked when I dropped it. I went to the Apple store, we changed my Apple ID, I can login, I can do almost everything on the Itunes website, but not from my phone. My Iphone, even though new, seems to think my old Apple ID is still current?
There is nothing on the website to even remotely indicate this old email address is even active - it is not part of my profile, yet my Iphone keep using this emails address???Go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores > Touch AppleID, sign out, and sign in with your AppleID.

New account locked into app store and itunes
I lost my password to my old apple account, and so i created a new one. But now i can't find a way to let my iphone recognize that i have a new account, so I'm not able to Download apps or buy music. Any help would be uh helpful. thanks.
Log onto your new account on iTunes on your computer, connect your iPhone and sync it.

You would need to go to an Apple Store (make an appointment) and take the phone, her father's original invoice when the phone was purchased, and a copy of his death certificate. Only with these will Apple unlock it. If you can't get these, the phone is permanently unusable.

Apple TV seems to lock up I tunes??
I have posted this before in I-tunes discussion with no luck so trying here.
I have media on an powered external 2TB hard drive hooked up to a I-Mac, Snow Lepord.
For some time now when I try and access media via Apple TV/TV2..it locks up I-tunes. I have to force quit I-tunes to get I-tunes to work again and back in sync with the media on the external hard drive it seems. Sometimes I have to force quit/ re-open/ try and access with Apple TV/ TV2, 2 or 3 times before it works correctly again. Then it may stay in sync for a hour, a day it's very intermittent. I have replaced hard drive, re-built library, reinstalled I-tunes numerous times to no avail. Access to all on the Internet works fine all the time on the Apple TV's, but access to my media has become extremely frustrating.
It should be noted that I-tunes never locks up when working directly on the I-Mac, it is only with the Apple TV or TV2 is used to access the media within I-tunes that the issue arises. So not sure if a I-Tunes issue or a Apple TV issues or both in their communication with each other.
Any ideas, help, experience with this.Then it may stay in sync for a hour, a day it's very intermittent.

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel. -
Wifi will not work. The button in settings seems to be locked. Tried control panel and siri to turn it on, doesnt work because the settings wont turn it on. Need help ASAP cause my data limit is approaching.
If the battery was completely drained the iPad will not respond for some time after connecting it to the charger. Connect the iPad to the charger that came with it and plug that into a good wall outlet. Wait 30 minutes. Then reset the iPad.Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
If the iPad restarts let it continue to charge until it's battery shows fully charged. If the iPad still does not start Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. Be sure to back up your device before taking or sending it to Apple. -
I am getting a dialog bx saying "Not enough storage: this Ipad cannot be backed up....manage storage in settings" When I click settings nothing happens. The Ipad seems to be locked. How can I upgrade storage to unfreeze my I pad?

This message is displayed when there is not enough storage space available in your iCloud Storage to complete your backup. You can either reduce the amount of data you are backing up under Backup Options, or you can buy more storage.

My ipad e-mail seems to be locked.E-mails keep coming in but I cannot open or delete them. As I am frozen on the e-mail page I cannot do anything els. Any suggestion? Eve
Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
I have unlocked from carrier successfully but now seems to have 'locked' me out

hello, my ipod nano has the locked icon on the screen when I plug it into my computer. It won't turn on if I unplug it from my computer, so it seems like the lock button is stuck or something. I have toggled the hold button on and off many times, but it all seems in vain. Can you please assist me with this problem. Thank you

Have you tried Resetting your iPod? You do that by:
Ok, I know, but toggle the hold around a few times (make sure to leave it on un-hold).
Then, Hold the MENU button for 4 seconds, then with the CENTER button together for 7 seconds.
This is resetting. If you've heard any confusion about this, it doesn't delete anything off your iPod, except clearing your play counts of your songs. In a normal procedure of resetting, your iPod will sit here for about 5 seconds, then show the Apple logo...then return on normal screen.
If you've already tried this, then you can try restoring your iPod....but just post back if you have done those things or not.

I have an IMac. I put a folder on the desk top and now want to delete it. The folder seems to be locked. I went into Get Info and attemted to unlock the folder and delete it. Won't go away. There is nothing in the folder. How do I unlock this folder and delete it? When I try to delete it, I'm asked for my password which I put in and is accepted, but will not delete the folder. Any help would be great.
