Grants issue while PO creation in SRM for accepted bid in PPS process

Hi All,
We have PPS process, while creating of PO for the accepted BID, PO is saved with following error,
Line 1: Grant 5612100020 does not exist
when i go through the threads in SDN, it is mentioned we need to activate Grants in R3 system.
1, Is it necessary to activate the Grants in R3?,
2, is there any other alternate solution for this?
3, or If we activate Grants in R3, what will be the impact?

If you don't have a SIM card in the phone, you must put one in. It's required for activation.
If you do, then your phone was probably hacked to unlock it from the original carrier. Contact them and see if they will unlock it. If they will not do so, then you can't use that phone.

No Pre-commitment at PR creation time in ECC -issue at PO creation in SRM

We are on SRM 5.0 Extendec CLassic with ECC 6.0
I have a couple of questions wrt budget check and commitment creation in SRM.
1.When a PRis transferred from ECC to SRM,is the budget check possible?If yes,what are the settings in ECC/SRM?
2. After a PR is transferred to SRM,SC gets created.When creating a SC,is the budget check done?If so,if the funds are available,is acommitment posted to ECC?
3.IF the Budget check error was not encountered at the time of SC creation,while creating a PO,why does the system gives error that "Funds not available".Is this correct?
We have somePR's(inventory) which get transferred to SRM,but after the SC is created and aPO is issued for that SC,systemchecks the budget and throws an error that funds not available.
What we want is that at the time ofPR creation itself,system should check the funds and disallow PRcreation if funda are not available.
Can anyone tell me whether we need to implement the controlin ECC at the of PR creation or is this issue because of no commitment happening at SC level?
Please clarify.

Posting period issue while deleting a confirmation posted for a limit PO

Hi ..
I am facing an issue whiel deleting a confirmation posted for a limit PO.
Confirmation was posted for a limit PO in SRM and it created a service entry sheet in SAP. If I deleted that confirmation in the same posting period, then it is getting deleted. No issue here.
But if I deleted that confirmation in the next posting period then the reversal document is going to error in process. RZ20 is showing the error "Positng only possible in periods 2012/2 and 2012/3".
Posting date of reversal document is current date only and the backend posting period is 2012/3, but still it is failing with this posting period error.
If I tried to delete a confirmation posted for a normal PO then I could able to delete it even in next posting period by just changing the posting date.
Why this posting occurs while deleting the limit confirmation, even through the posting date is falls within the backenn posting periiod? Is it like, SAP system is trying to delete the service entry sheet in original posting period? Kindly help.
I am in SRM 5.0 (server 5.5) SP12.

OK.
Well, if the variable is not used in any interval selection, then I would say "something happened to it".
I would make a copy of the query and run it to check if I get the same problem with period 12.
   -> If not, something is wrong in the original query (you can proceed as below, if changes to original are permitted).
If so, then try removing the variable completely from the query and hardcode restriction to 12.
   -> If problem still persists, I would have to do some thinking.
If problem is gone, then add the variable again. Check.
   -> If problem is back, then the variable "is sick". Only quick thing to do, is to build an identical variable and use that one.
If problem also happens with the new variable, then it's time to share this experience with someone else and consider raising an OSS.

Budget issue while creating PO in SRM

Hello All,
We are using SRM_SERVER 5.5 SP level 11. We have extended classic scenario.
Whenever we create PO assigned to account assignment category ORDER where ORDER is assigned with some fixed budget in R/3, we are able to create PO. But no budget details appears in PO. Budget tab in PO shows "No Budget Information Exists". BUDGET_CHECK_BADI is also deactivated.
Why this message is displayed instead of Budget details?
Is there any configuration required to be done for displaying budget details? What might be the issue? Please help.

Mapping issues while using MapwithDefault Node function for Idoc

Hi Experts,
We are facing issues while trying to generate nodes at reciver side even though it does not exist at sender side.
we are using the matmas05 and we want the nodes E1marcm and e1mardm to generated at target structure.
the structure is like this

          .....other fields
          E1mardm (can be many segments)

              ..other fields

the mapping has been done like:

werks-mapwithdefault-werks
other fields(one to one mapping)
e1mardm-mapwith default-e1mardm
lgort-mapwithdefault(value 1000)-lgort
other fields -one to one mapping
now the problem we are facing is when e1mardm is not existing in source structure the values from the other node of e1mardm(which exists) are getting overwritten into it.
we want only the lgort to be 1000 and the segment should populate at target side.
like

Could you please assist in solving this issue and give your valuable suggestions as how could we handle it.

U will achieve this using UDF function. Map the below Like.

Issue while making confirmations in SRM.

Hi Gurus,
Can any one suggest me a solution for this problem.
This is SRM version 4.0 . The user has raised a Shopping cart in SRM with 4 line items and it got appoved and created a PO sucessfully in the SAP R/3 system.
Now the user has changed the PO quantities in the SAP R/3 system and now trying to do the confirmations against that PO for the quantities he has received, i.e he has now tried to do confirmations for the 2nd Line item and it gave an error saying that Error in process. which is diplayed in the shopping cart history.
Now when he is trying to do the confirmations for anyone of the Line item in that PO. System gives a POP -UP message saying that
" ** Document is in transfer for Puchase order, creation not possible **".
Can any one suggest how to get rid of this error message and perform the confirmations in SRM against this PO , if this is not possible then we need to do it from SAP R/3.

Thanks for your reply.
Just wanted to clarify you on background of it. we are using the classic SRM 4.0 version and the PO in the SAP R/3 is the leading PO so I cannot change the PO in the SRM.
However the PO hwich has been changed in the SAP R/3 system I can see the updated quantities and while user trying to do the confirmations I can see the updated quantities in SRM at line item level.
But I am not able to find the Idoc number for this confirmation and I have gone to the BU2023 object in BBP_PD and could check there the object key is not updated but core key is updated and I can see the error in transmission.
This error is when the user is trying to make confirmation first for the line item 2 in the PO. But now the system is not allowing to do the confirmations to any of the line items and now displays the error as
" Document is in transfer for PO , creation not possible"
I even have checked in SM58 in the SAP R/3 system no entries I could find.

Issue while selecting the LOCL printer for printing the form

Hi all,
I have created the PO form and it is working fine.
I am facing one strange issue.
I am displaying the PIR text and item text in the form.
When i do the print preview the PIR text and Item text is displayed but when i create the spool for the same PO by
giving the printer as LOCL these text is not displayed.
I am not getting why it is coming when i do the print preview and why it is not coming while creating the spool.
Kindly help.

Hi,
You did not specified the form Type whether it is a smart form or Adobe form.
If it is the Adobe form LOCL is not supported if the printer specified to LOCL is not supporting the PDF forms.
Better use LP01 or any other Printer which support the PDF forms.

Document Upload issue while clause creation

Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue where in When i try to upload a word document for creating clauses, I am successfully able to upload few documents and create clausw and some to the documents do not upload and i get an error though there is not much difference in the two documents in terms of formatting (only content differs).
When i try to create contract from some of those created (Clause-->Section-->Contract Templates, i have uses those clause to create templates) templates, Contract generates for few and fails for few.( I get error " There is a problem with the Contract Generation web service ") This behaviour is weired.
If anyone has information on this please help. I am using SAP Sourcing 9.0.15.

Usually this problem occurs when the Word service is facing some issues.
Please try to restart the service and check.

Issue while replicating materials into SRM

Hi Experts,
We are using SRM 5.0 Extended Classic Scenario. I was able to replicate material groups successfully but when i try to replicate Materials, the Queue ends up in a SYS_FAIL error. i tried deleting all the previous queues and tried many ways but still not able to understand what is going wrong. I checked the SMW01 for any error BDOC messages but i cant find anything.
Any suggestions or thoughts as to what i need to check ? Will award points .

I just wanted to know if it was safe to use software that lets you bypass the sleep mode on a mac book pro. Also is it safe to use software that alous you to controle the fan, ect. If it is ok then which software is best to use?

I'm not sure why you'd want to 'bypass' sleep mode, but you can do that through Energy Saver by setting Sleep to "Never," no third-party software needed. There are applications that let you control your fans but unless you're having problems, for instance, with your fans speeding up enough to control heat I find them useless and potentially harmful - Apple does a good job of fan control and if you're having problems then it's likely a hardware or software problem that can be solved with a SMC reset.

Data Source Level SRS (SSRS) Issue - Permissions granted to user... are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)

I've inherited a bit of a security issue and would appreciate any insight.
The bottom line is that I have a user than can run one report from folder "X", but not the report next to it.
Here is the problem context. The names are changed to protect the innocent. Sharepoint is not involved.
The SSRS Home Folder has Security "Group or User" of "DomainX\SSRS_Browsers" with Role(s) "Browser"
"SSRS_Browsers" is an AD group. The user with the issue (DomainX\UnhappyUser) is a member of this group.
The user is able to navigate to folder "X" (one level below Home) and run Report "A" successfully. But, when they try to run report "B", they get:
"An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted) The permissions granted to user "DomainX\UnhappyUser" are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)
The difference between report "A" that works, and report "B" that doesn't is that report "B" references a data set from a different data source.
Both reports reference DataSource1. The failing report additionally references DataSource2. The SSRS logs confirm this is where the problem is:
ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.AccessDeniedException: , Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.AccessDeniedException: The permissions granted to user 'DomainX\UnhappyUser' are insufficient for performing this operation.;

Both data sources have "stored" credentials with the same AD user: "DomainX\SSRS_Reports". Both data sources reference the same instance of SQL Server. They do have different "Initial Catalog" values. (DatabaseA
and DatabaseB). I can run both reports successfully, but I more authority.
"SSRS_Reports" is defined as a "Login" user under "Security" in SSMS at the instance level. The Server Role is "public".
DatabaseA (which is behind the data source that works) has Security->Users->DomainX\DataBaseA_Readers. This is an AD group, that includes has "SSRS_Reports" as a member.
DataBaseA_readers (in SQL Server, at the DatabaseA level) is a member of role db_datareader.
DataBaseB (which is behind the data source that fails) has Security->Users->DomainX\DataBaseB_Readers. This is also an AD group, that includes "SSRS_Reports" as a member.
DataBaseA_readers (in SQL Server, at the DatabaseB level) is a member of role db_datareader.
Does anyone have any insights as to where my problem may be?

After testing the issue in my local environment, I can reproduce it. The Home Folder has Security for "DomainX\SSRS_Browsers" group with "Browser" Role, the folder “X” and Report “A” security is inherited from its parent item, but the Report “B” Item security
is not inherited from its parent item. In this way, the DomainX\UnhappyUser has insufficient permission to render the Report “B”.
So, please try to check the Security page of Report “B” and compare it with Report “A” security settings. If possible, we can click “Revert to Parent Security” button to replace all the defined security settings with the security settings of its parent folder
”X”.

Error while changing PO in SRM extended classic Version 5.0

Hi Guys,
we are facing issue while changing PO in SRM , this is extended classic with version 5.0.
The system status is active() is error message and PO remains unchanged. Kindly help to resolve this issue. we have an approval for even PO if a user changes the qty in the PO then it calls the approval WF logic.

There could be many issues..
or some data issue.
can you recreate the same issue you can fix it.
it could only one incident so you should thoroghly check what piece of data is wrong.
what actions are you doing in the purchase order.

1.Create a change version on any Purchase order.
2. Edit quantity of any item
3. Dont press 'Enter key'
4. Clickk on Order button.
Application gves dump 'Buffer table not upto date'
but it is very difficult to say what is the issue. request your technical resource to look your dump.
if you recreate the issue half of the problem resolved.
