Graph label in Drill down graph to display only the lowest level label

Recently I have upgraded from OBIEE 10 to 11g.
Some reports have a country -> region -> branch drilldown, for which hierarchy is created in business layer of RPD. The graph, drills down from Country -> Regions -> Branches and displays the measures accordingly. But the horizontal label displays the full hierarchy , like CountryName,RegionName and Branch Name. In 10g, I used to get the Branch name only in the axis label.
I would like to display only the Region names when Country is drilled down and the branch name alone when the Region is drilled down.
Kindly help.

In 11g it is bug....
For this u should create 3 individual reports (1 for country, 2. Region, 3. Branch) and give action link one to another.
for filter make sure the required column "Is Prompted" for every detailed reports.

Hi Shivkumar,
If you right-clic on the time scale you can set the time/date format, I assume this is the way you should follow to add the "day of month in the time stamp.

How to create clickable (drill down) Graphs

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement in which i want to create clickable(drill down) graph/pie chart.
I saw SAP standard program "GRAPHICS_IGS_CE_TEST". It works fine for graph display
but it doesn't provide any drill down option, Although it has some evenhandling for event SAPEVENT.
But it doesn't seem to work for left click,right click or double click.
Can you please sugest?

It depends on what kind of drill you have set up. I believe you have setup Navigation Drill wherein the target is a tabular report instead of a graphical report. Just change the compound layout of the report to contain a graphical chart and that should give you a chart drill.

Hierarchy drill down issue at the lowest level

Hi,
In OBIEE 11.1.1.5 I face an issue with drill down to lowest level of presentation hierarchy (expanded by "+" in report). It happens only for combination of 2 dimensions presentation hierarchies in analytics report (parent-child organizational structure + level based product categorization). Aggregated date comes from OLAP but lowest level product information comes from relational database and this details are not displayed.
First I drill to particular sales rep in organizational structure. Then for that sales rep I need to drill down product hierarchy and it works except lowest level of details. At the lowest level of product hierarchy, query sent to database (I have it from logs) return proper results (checked directly in db) but report behaves the way like there are no details at the lowest level and product details are not displayed.
Both (Organizational structure, Product) dimension presentation hierarchies works ok at all levels when used separately. Also product hierarchy works well at all levels (including OLAP->relational drill) when used togather with other level-based hierarchies in subject area.
I am wondering what I could have done wrong...
Advices are very welcome!

Hierarchy keys are set properly and "use for display" is checked.
Dimension presentation hierarchies does not work only when I use particular two hierarchies togather in one report table. When each of hierarchies is displayed separately it works ok.

Apply drill down (free characteristic) to only 1 ratio of many

Hello.
     My teamate and me, are traying to finish one query where has row we have 2 KF; and in the columns 1 characteristic. Here all is good. But the requeriment is that one of the ratios can be drilled down for another characteristic, but the other one not, so the values of this second one stay as in the beginning.
    We are creating wad, the first solution was to create to queries 1 with the first ratio and other with the second kf. And it work's fine but the two table items doesn't match so it doesn't look fine, and it get worse when you display another characteristic in the first query.
    Is there a way to specify in the query that 1 ratio doesn't drill down?

When running the Query, the filter criteria is not coming up when attempting to restrict the Characterstic(Nav.Attri). the filter criteria is not coming up when attempting to restrict the Characterstic(Navi .attri)variable
I was try to drill down on free characterstic in the query,where it was showing not found in the filter values
When i try to do filter say filter the Navigational attribute select filter values where the dialog box appearing with no entries found.The option over there only from infoprovider.
What would the issue?

Hi,
Since you have given the option as from infoprovider this may be the issue.
try to give from master data in the properties for selections and then see after pressing F4.
Since its a navigational attribute its values are not be populated into the infoprovider and therefore u are not able to see it.

Can we display only the required columns dynamically?

Hi All,
I have a scenario where in I have 30 columns in the rtf template. All the columns will never be displayed, only a select few will be available for display. So the output file is show blank columns. Now I want to display only the columns which contain data.
FYI- We cannot know which columns consist data until we run the report.
Any Advice.

You can use the following:
Column header:
<?if@column:/node/child_node="PUBLIC"?>My label<?end if?>
Column data:
<?if:/node/child_node="PUBLIC"?>My data<?end if?>
The @column will tell XMLP wheater or not the column shall be shown.

Getting a "Displaying only the newest results below. To view all results, narrow your query by adding a filter" message in error

I have a list with almost 10000 items. I have a view that should be returning 8 items. For me, the Farm Admin, I see the full set of expected values. The message "Displaying only the newest results below. To view all results, narrow your query by
adding a filter" shows for other users. This makes no sense -
there ARE filters on this view. I'd rather not increase the throttle limit.

Check that the list is not scoped by an audience; but, I'm afraid that either way admin, (e.g. non Farm admin or site collection admin)
I'd recommend exporting to excel, create two new spreadsheets and then import as custom lists.

Char displaying only the first three characters in the cube

Hi Experts
I have a char with lenth 60 and it's active.I am updating this char via the update routine whereby i am reading data from an active table of an ODS as i update in the update rules.
But surprisingly,once the load is succesful and complete,upon checking the data in the active table it's displayin the way it should be the problem comes in when I view the data on the cube which displays only the first three chars even if the descriptionis a 60 character field.
Please help

Have you checked in the infosource or transfer rules, what is the length of the infoobject, if you are loading the data to PSA, please check there it self, whether it is displaying 60 characters or only 3 characters.

i have tried the below coding it is not working in PBO & PAI of the user exit
ZXPADU01 and ZXPADU02. For the table control is there any othe method??

Choice displays only the first option.

I am having problem with the "Choice" menu i created. It is displaying only the first choice option, though i select other choices...Meaning, it's displaying only "23.0" whatever other values i select...any suggetions?

it is allways returning 23.0 because tou've initialized r_MPC to the selected value which is 23.0 at the beginning.
You must reask the selected value in the listener :

clicking somewhere else and then back to the application that you want to share files are not there any more.
I've to close and re-open the itunes in order to see them again.
itunes is running on windows 7 64bit.

If I look at another app on the list, the files on the one I previously checked are gone when I look at it again. Is there any way to fix this? Hi Michael,
actually you can't show only the description when you click into it.
the lenght of the description is usually around 50.
(but it depends also how long you made the value.)
the best is to do it so:
keep the value short with numbers
and cut the description at 42 (to be on the safe side)
